The name "Zweisamt" is a fusion of the German words for togetherness and velvet, reflecting the couple's shared passion for music. Whether on the dancefloor or behind the decks, Caroline and Julian create a velvety sound that is organic, bouncy, bassy, soft, muffled, dreamy, and self-confident. Their unique sound finds its home in the wood-paneled clubs of Berlin, such as the iconic Mensch Meier and Kater Blau, venues renowned for their melodic, buzzing, and vibrating energy that seamlessly connects people and music. As members of the Berlin-based artist collective Mystic Creatures, Zweisamt thrives on guiding early morning dancers through an eclectic journey, transitioning from strong, warm basslines to introspective, melancholic melodies, culminating in a joyous finale. The genesis of their latest set was unplanned and spontaneous, crafted in a serendipitous flow—one during after-work hours and the other in COVID isolation. The resulting synergy surprised both Caroline and Julian, surpassing their expectations and perfectly encapsulating the essence of their Journey Series.
