    Interested in attending the University of Evansville ?

    On this episode, we chat with Megan Nilssen and Derek Jones from the University of Evansville. The University of Evansville, founded in 1854, was first known as Moores Hill Male and Female Collegiate Institute. In 1919, the University was moved to Evansville and became Evansville College. It finally became the University of Evansville in 1967 The total Fall 2021 enrollment (including full and part-time, undergraduate, adult, graduate, and UE students at Harlaxton) is 2,078 students. 48 countries and 46 states are represented on campus. The average class size is 16 students, and the student-to-faculty ratio is 9.5:1. 98 percent of the class of 2022 were either employed or pursuing further education within six months of graduation. The median salary of those employed full-time was $55,000. International students represent 7.51 percent of the undergraduate student population. African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, Native Americans, and multi-racial students represent 15.09 percent of the undergraduate student population. 24 percent of the student body is socially Greek affiliated. Of students indicating a religious preference, approximately 42.91 percent are Protestant (12.9 percent United Methodist), 39.16 percent Roman Catholic and 17.94 percent other.     Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship - Our Finalist!!!

    On this episode, we get to know a little more about our Lilly Community Scholarship Finalist. The Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program is designed to help raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana, increase awareness of the beneficial roles Indiana community foundations can play in their communities and encourage efforts of Lilly Endowment Community Scholars to engage with each other and with state leaders to improve quality of life in Indiana. The Endowment believes that education at all levels is important to the personal, civic and economic well-being of Indiana’s residents and communities. This program aims to encourage many of Indiana’s most talented students to attend one of the state’s higher education institutions and, ultimately, pursue careers in Indiana.     Meet our 2022-2023 Lilly Scholarship Winners!!

    Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship The Lilly Endowment Inc. designed its program to raise the level of educational attainment in Indiana and increase awareness of Indiana’s community foundations’ commitment to improve the quality of life for the state’s residents. The Endowment will provide all funding necessary for awarding as many as two scholarships in each of the counties we serve: Clark and Floyd. The scholarship provides full tuition to any four-year accredited Indiana college or university, public or private. Additionally, an annual stipend of $900 is awarded for books and required fees. Requirements – Applicants must: Reside in either Clark or Floyd County, Indiana, and graduate from an accredited high school in the State of Indiana Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 unweighted scale Graduate with a minimum CORE 40 diploma, or equivalent
