Welcome to the very first episode of 12:12 AM in Destin.Before we start sharing the stories of others, I thought it was only right to share my own.In this episode, I take you through the journey that shaped who I am today—from being born in the Philippines, to growing up in Melbourne, Florida, spending my childhood fishing the waters of Destin, and eventually making one final move to Anchorage, Alaska.Alaska became home and gave me some of the most unique experiences of my life. Growing up in the Last Frontier meant encountering moose on the way to school, hearing stories of bears in the neighborhood, and learning firsthand what adventure, resilience, and self-reliance really looked like. It was a place unlike anywhere else and played a major role in shaping the person I've become.Along the way, I share stories about football, the military, fighting, fishing, and the people who influenced my life. You'll hear about some of the friendships and experiences that helped build the foundation for where I am today, and you'll meet some of the names and stories that will eventually appear on future episodes of the podcast.This episode is simply an introduction—a chance for you to get to know me, understand where I came from, and learn how the journey from the Philippines to Alaska eventually led me back to the water and to creating this podcast.Thank you for being here from the very beginning.
