This is a film that gets straight to the point from beginning to end and it works due to the excellent pacing. Its every bit of a love letter to the franchise that will have you wanting more by the end. Definitely worth the watch.

This is a movie that touches on Michael Jackson as a person but is more concerned with the spectacle that was MJ once the music hits. Its a shame too because you can see the potential that this film could've really been and yet it never hits the highs to really give insight to MJ the person and the relationships he forged along the way that helped him become this iconic figure.

This was a movie that reminded us all that when Disney allows creatives to be creative it's a wonderful thing. A movie that solidified Johnny Deep as a superstar and Pirates sexy again. We talk about the action, the actors, Jerry Bruck BABY!, and unwashed white folk.

Excellent acting, great writing and directing, and a very close to accurate story about AZ, Rich Porter and Alpo. Black movies during the Crack Era were dedicated to two things. Passing on lessons to pull ourselves out of this, and showing the very worse in Negro behavior. In the grand scheme, its a smart choice. Wonder Man as a character has a very muddled history much like DC's Hawkman. So whats the best way to present the character in a streamlined way? Have the show structured around Simon Williams trying to make it in Hollywood while he's also trying to figure himself out. Pair him up with Trevor Slattery and you got a solid show that does a really good job of being self contained yet lowkey progressing certain aspects of the MCU. Definitely a must watch.

#TheMoment #CharliXCX The Moment is a film that wants to be 'This is Spinal Tap' so bad and its unfortunate that the film doesn't hit those entertaining heights that you expect out of a mockumentary. The movie plays into the real life rise of musician Charli XCX. If you're a fan of her then you'll probably enjoy the film for what it is. If you're someone that isn't familiar with her but you're hoping the film would give you an idea of Charli and her music then you're gonna be bored as hell. The film tries to hit you with comedy and drama but it doesn't really stick the landing on it. You end up with a very flat movie overall.

Send Help is a black comedy, horror, thriller film that has some surprising and predictable moments. Rachel McAdams steals the movie from the start and gives you a character that you're invested in seeing come out of the situation the film presents. 

The plan is simple. We hire a hitman to kill mom. We get the insurance money. We win. Huh? Yes, I'm sure this will work. If not we might have to give the hitman our sister as collateral. Trust me. This is fool proof. No PWT thinking here. Just straight smooth brain activity.

Based on the 1977 Indianapolis hostage standoff involving Tony Kiritsis, the film does a good job of balancing the seriousness of the situation with the offbeat personality of Tony as a person. Very tense moments and also moments of levity to where you actually empathize with Tony's plight.

Will Smith was pure box office gold between 1995 and about the late 2000's. Many people debate what was the movie that made him a star. Some say Independence Day, some think Bad Boys, a few says Ali. Tokyo Godfathers, the brilliant Satoshi Kon made a holiday classic that's purely Japanese. And PURELY wholesome. It's a movie that's made talks about homelessness, forgiveness, running away, redemption and family.

Its silly in all the right ways and wrong ways as well yet ends up sticking the landing how you expect it to go. A film thats not really a remake and its also a sequel to the original film at the same time. Given the actors in this film, you can see the jokes coming a mile away. End of the day its a silly movie with some earnest.  Do with that what you will.

On the surface, you watch a foreigner in Brendan Fraser maneuver around Japan as a working actor trying to make it big through a special job as a companion to various people. Once the movie presents itself very quickly that its not what you think, you end up getting a very heartwarming and honest film but people and feelings. Solid direction, great cinematography, and excellent acting.

Yes this is a movie that is all about James Cameron flexing his chops at VFX and the movie looks good as hell but same time we get a pretty engaging story with plot points thats been done before. New locations, new characters, and revisiting even old characters from the first film. End of the day, you have a film that is pretty damn entertaining from start to finish.

#Predator #PredatorBadlands #Aliens #AvP The Predator franchise has always been consistently entertaining(Barring the 2018 Predator movie which fell short despite some moments). At any rate coming off of Prey, Killer of Killers and even Alien: Romulus & Alien: Earth, it seems like we're heading down the road towards a legit Alien vs Predator movie. But while we're on this road, enter Predator: Badlands which does a solid job of putting you into this established universe with a twist...This time we're following a young Predator who's out to prove himself to his clan. With that setup, we got a film that overall hits all the beats you expect from the Predator franchise even with the PG-13 rating. This is a must watch.

Its been awhile and lots has happened in the Toku world. From Super Sentai getting a full blown revamp to the Power Rangers reboot finally going into production, CJ and Prime give there thoughts and then dive into the fun world of Gekisou Sentai Carranger.

Time for some DAMN good cinema. Whiplash does everything perfectly. From acting to the music to the subtext. We talk about JK, Miles Teller being the best of his generation so-far, coaching, abuse and white people. 

A school teacher from Albuquerque has a mid-life crisis and becomes drug dealer. Well...he cooks, his ex-student is the drug dealer. Oh, and the teacher has cancer. And a baby on the way...and his in-law is a fed. Look its alot.

The late 90's Horror genre was just begging to get satired. Scream did half the work for it. The Wayans name in the 90's was still hot too. Shawn and Marlon teamed up again to give us another hilarious parody movie. And launch Anna Faris and Regina Hall's careers. 

A southern laywer is scouted to work big cases in New York. That doesn't sound so bad until you see Al Pacino and it's like "Oh yeah...I'm working for Lucifer." We talk about 90's Christian Horror, Keanu doing his best Jacksonville, Charlise being tortured, Pacino being the perfect Devil and a bunch of Jeffrey Jones jokes.

Wait! DID YOU SAY THE MOB!?

So this is a quandry of a film. On one hand, Kathryn Bigalow hits her usual flair of geo-political drama that she's known for with solid acting. On the other hand, the film does an unorthodox thing with its story where it leaves you wanting more from it. It doesn't exactly sink the movie but you're left with a "What could've been" feeling.

We've hit the point with anime where studios can do full features films for anime arcs that hit better than what a TV show could. That's essentially what we have with this final arc of Demon Slayer. Infinity Castle brings about tons of full circle moments from the show in a satisfying way while still leaving the viewers clamoring for more.

Chris is still dealing with Dark Pharma turning half the world into zombies. Leon is drinking himself to death because he's broken inside and he's a badass. What happens when you give these two a movie? You get the best Scott Adkins/Keanu Reeves movie ever!

The third installment of this series, this movies takes the series in a slightly new direction. Does the movie work or is ita flop?
