42nd Street Forever

On Episode 19, Pete & Seb celebrate SHOCKTOBER 2025 with a classic grindhouse horror double bill that played the Times Square in October 1979. First, a cross country family road trip becomes a horrifying fight for survival in Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes THEN a small town is terrorized by a rabid satanic cult in I Drink Your Blood.

On Episode 18, Pete & Seb discuss a classic Shaw Brothers grindhouse kung fu double bill that played the Times Square in July of 1979. First Ti Lung and David Chiang star in DUEL OF THE IRON FIST a bloody kung fu gangster mashup from Chang Cheh, Then Gordon Liu must pass through the tricky obstacle filled 36 chambers of shaolin in Lau Kar Leung's MASTER KILLER.

On Episode 17, Pete & Seb hit The Selwyn for an 80s crime thriller double bill that played in April 1986: FIRST Robert Forster and Nancy Kwan must evade a gang of criminals out for blood in WALKING THE EDGE. Then low budget Martial Arts legend Leo Fong is a San Francisco private detective who infiltrates a deranged religious cult in LOW BLOW. 

On Episode 16, Pete & Seb stop into CINE 42 to watch an eclectic double bill that played in January 1979. FIRST Jim Hutton stars as a man with deadly telekinetic powers in PSYCHIC KILLER then David Carradine (fresh off of the Kung Fu TV series) stars in CIRCLE OF IRON a mystical martial arts fantasy based on a story by Bruce Lee.

On Episode 15, Pete & Seb discuss a Baadasss Blaxploitation Double Bill from AIP that played at The Harris in October of 1974. FIRST, Pam Grier stars as a chick with drive who don't take no jive in FOXY BROWN, THEN Isaac Hayes stars as TRUCK TURNER, the last of the bounty hunters. Grab your popcorn and get ready for a supercool, super fly grindhouse cinema experience!

On Episode 14 Pete and Seb discuss a film released in October of 1977 which premiered at CINE 42 on The Deuce. William Devane, Tommy Lee Jones and Linda Haynes star in John Flynn’s classic revengeamatic ROLLING THUNDER.

On Episode 13, Pete and Seb discuss a spaghetti western double bill that played at the Lyric theater in September of 1970. FIRST, Lee Van Cleef stars as The Man With Gunsight Eyes in the Gianfranco Parolini classic SABATA. THEN Edd "Kookie" Byrnes sets out to find a lost Confederate treasure with a gang of maniacal marauders in Enzo G. Castellari’s 1967 directorial debut PAYMENT IN BLOOD. 

On Episode 12, Pete and Seb discuss one of their favorite poliziotteschi/Eurocrime films that played at the Selwyn theater in July of 1978, Umberto Lenzi’s BRUTAL JUSTICE aka The Tough Ones starring Maurizio Merli and Tomas Milian.

On Episode 11, Pete and Phil (Making Tarantino) discuss three films that played at the Empire Theater in June of 1983. FIRST they've got a double dose of 70's grindhouse kung fu with Tso Nam Lee's THE HOT, THE COOL & THE VICIOUS followed by the chopsocky sideshow CRIPPLED MASTERS. Don't leave the theater just yet because there's more in store! It's supercool samurai time with the 1969 Hideo Gosha chambara classic THE STEEL EDGE OF REVENGE aka Goyokin.

On Episode 10, Pete and Phil (Making Tarantino) discuss a classic slasher double feature that played May 9, 1981 at the New Amsterdam Theater on The Deuce, FRIDAY THE13TH PT. 2 (which marked the debut of horror icon Jason Voorhees) followed by the Canuxploitation gem MY BLOODY VALENTINE.

On Episode 9, Pete is joined by Phil (Making Tarantino) to discuss a wild n' crazy Grindhouse Double Feature that played April 10, 1984 at the Rialto theater on The Deuce. First, Karin Mani stars in the gritty revengeamatic ALLEY CAT, THEN a group of maniacal punks terrorize a high school in Mark L. Lester's CLASS OF 1984 starring Tim Van Patten and Perry King.

On Episode 8, Pete is joined by Phil Duke (Making Tarantino: The Podcast) for a fun discussion about two films that played at CINE 42 on The Deuce, March 15, 1983. First up its Bill Lustig's 1982 revengeamatic VIGILANTE starring Robert Forster and Fred Williamson, THEN, it's Lucio Fulci's 1979 gore shocker ZOMBIE.

On the 7th episode, Pete and Ken (Gotham City Drive-In) discuss two films that played January 1st 1985 at the Rialto Theater: Wes Craven's slasher classic A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and the Chuck Norris POW rescue adventure MISSING IN ACTION.

On Episode 6, Pete welcomes ⁠Rob McGee⁠ (Xploitation Reviews) and Ken from Gotham City Drive-In to discuss ⁠FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE which played at ⁠The Harris⁠ in Dec. 1978. It's known as one of the most infamous, offensive films from the grindhouse era, starring ⁠William Sanderson⁠.

On the 5th episode, Pete welcomes author Mike Vaughn to the show to discuss one of his favorite films, the 1985 cult classic NAIL GUN MASSACRE. Pete and Mike also pick out some upcoming BluRays and look at what was playing on The Deuce, Jan 30th, 1981.
