919 Beer: The Triangle's local beer podcast

Joe Ovies, Adam Eshbaugh, and Wayne Holt host this week's program. The food this week was provided by Mason Jar Lager Company and Tavern in Holly Springs. The food guests this week are Lauren Woods Limbach, Wood Cellar Director and Blender for New Belgium Brewery in Asheville, and Chris Allen, the Raleigh Beer Ranger for New Belgium. Lauren introduces and unveils the release of Southern Vine Sour, a scuppernong and sumac sour that will be available at Boxcar Bars in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill. She also refers to New Belgium's Transatlantique Kriek Sour Ale, the 1554 Black Lager, La Folie, a Sour Brown Ale, the Foeders Oscar, a Sour Brown Ale, and The Foeders Felix, a Sour Golden Ale. And, Chris and Lauren discuss the New Belgium staple, Fat Tire, which is a Belgian Style Amber Ale.

Joe Ovies, and Wayne Holt host this week's program. Adam Eshbaugh is on assignment. First off, they go over Wayne's "business" trip to Cancun, and they discuss craft beer and diversity. Then, they welcome the beer guests this week: Ken O' Berry, founder/owner of Vicious Fishes Brewery in Angier, Apex, and Fuquay-Varina; and Ryan Miller, Executive Chef. They brought in OctoPils, a Czech-style pilsner, lamb shank tacos, Into the Abyss Brown Ale, and their White Russian, a cocktail-style ale. The Vicious Fishes guests went over their locations, menus, and their packaging, which led to an overall discussion of craft beer industry business models, and packaging.

Joe returns and the gang talk about what happened while he was away before the conversation turns to beer.
