What do channeling & sacrifice have in common?

Rebecca Dawson is an International Speaker, Author and Channeller from Perth, Australia. As a guest, Rebecca and Rhonda speak candidly about consciousness, sacrifice and more. Rebecca, thank you for joining me.  I know you are coming miles away so please take a moment to introduce yourself and let us know where you are located. Hi, my name is Rebecca and I'm joining from Perth in Western Australia, on the other side of the world from where you are;  it's nighttime here.I think 2020 has changed how some of us are doing things. So normally,  I'm a channeler and a speaker.  I run workshops and tours and I go around the world and speak to people about what's happening with consciousness and how it's shifting for us and how our experience on the planet is shifting. This year for me, I'm at home and I'm playing from home and connecting with  people from home, which I think is an experience many of us are having in this  year. And just finding new, interesting creative things to explore with consciousness. You've said a couple of things that I think my listeners may or may not be familiar with. So if it's okay, let's dive into a few of these words  that you said. You said you were a channeler. Tell us what that is. I think, different people have different ideas about what channeling is.  Sometimes we say that it's bringing through something that's beyond us or a higher consciousness than what we are and delivering it through our expressions into this world. I sometimes artists say that they channel beautiful artwork or writers channel certain pieces of wisdom or, or some beautiful privates. For me, I'm a voice channel. So for about 20, 25 years now, I've been bringing through information about  earth and humanity and how our  reality works and I do that through lectures and I write books and I run courses and workshops. So as a voice channel, I never know what we're going to be exploring or talking about. I love answering people's questions and I always learned to expect the unexpected, but it's a real privilege and an honor  to be able to do that because I'm always understanding things in a deeper  and richer way. How to Self-Care in 2021

There are some things you have control of and some things you don’t. In this episode, Rhonda shares several tips a strategies so that you can live a fit and fabulous lifestyle. Today’s topic is about health and fitness. What is health and fitness? What does it mean? Why is it important?Let me ask you a question. Do you suffer from fatigue, dry skin or shortness of breath?  Do you wish you were in better shape or do you feel drained from all those responsibilities that you have? Do you ever suffer from high levels of anxiety or depression?  Well, let me say this. If you want to have a fit and healthy lifestyle, you’re going to want to become more aware of you; how you see yourself and how you treat yourself. This concept of “self care” or “taking care of me” seems to be a bit misconstrued. Many women that I talk to and work with, tell me things like, “I feel guilty if I spend time or money on me”.  Why is this? If you don’t take care of you, who will? It is not your parents’ job.  It’s not your husband’s job and it’s certainly not your children’s jobs to take care of you physically, mentally, and socially.  It is your job, and your responsibility, because if you don’t, how will you be able to take care of others if you are not refilling your cup?  Self care is anything but selfish. Think about when you’re on an airplane. As that airplane is taxing down the runway, getting ready for take off, you are asked to observe the safety features and what to do in case of an emergency. The flight attendant tells you to put your oxygen mask on first.  Why? Because if you’re unconscious, how could you possibly help your child or the person next to you?  You don’t! So, it’s imperative that you take care of you first. When you deplete yourself, you are of no use to anyone else. Consider this; When you don’t take care of your teeth and gums, what’s going to happen.? Well, long-term you are could end up with issues such as: Gingivitis, cavities, maybe dentures, and who knows what else. When you ignore the largest organ on you body, the skin, what  happens over time?  Many things such as dryness, aging skin and discoloration. You could end up with some type of skin cancer, whether it be benign or malignant. It is also important to take care of your hair and our face. Oftentimes  these areas  they are overlooked because they feel like, well, “I just can’t afford to do that for myself”. The physical body consists of all the different systems such as the muscle system,  the skeleton system, cardiovascular, the digestive system and more. Living a fit and healthy lifestyle is about being aware, and understanding  how you’re functioning. So, you might want to consider asking yourself,” How happy and satisfied am I in the area of my health and my fitness”? ….Listen to the remainder on this episode … Rhonda talks about the 5 things your skin needs to be soft, supple and beautiful: Cleanse your skin twice a day Exfoliate PH Balance Hydrate / Moisturize Protect

How To Be Happier in 2020

Today's topic is all about you and some interesting perspectives that I would really like for you to consider. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever had someone in your life who made you feel very, very tired when you're around them, perhaps really drained, depressed, sad, less than excited and happy. We all have had those people in our lives. My next question is how do you feel when you spend a lot of time with that person Do you feel like, Oh my God, I can't wait til they go home. I can't wait till I go home. Oh my God. I feel it. My life is over. I'm going to guess you said yes, because we've all had those people in our lives. We have all had those people who are draining because all they do is they groan and they moan about their pain and their past and their spouse and their life and their work and on and on and on. So, now let me ask you a question. Do you have someone or some somebodies in your life that when you're around him, her or them, you feel excited? You feel like there's opportunity. There's possibilities. That's because they believe in you. They respect you and they want the best for you. Now, I hope that you have some people in your life like this, because I know I do. And if you can identify this person or people in your life now, I want to ask you, how does it make you feel How do you behave when you're with these people? Do you feel like there's possibilities? Like I just can't wait to get on my next project! LikeI can accomplish this task; and where you know, it's okay to step outside my comfort zone that way, because I do have a cheering crowd and a bunch of cheerleaders! I do hope that you have somebody like this. Now I'm going to take a moment and talk about what's going on, in what we'll call "reality right now". So, we are approximately, four months into this pandemic thing and everywhere you look, there's something on the news. It's constantly about the pandemic and the Corona virus and how bad it is and how many people are sick and how many people are dying. The podcast today is not about the politics. That's not where I'm going. Your thoughts, your beliefs. They belong to you. I'm not here to change them. I don't want to change them. I don't care. What I do want to bring to your attention now is when you watch the news, are you watching it once a day, twice a day, do you have it on 24 seven In other words, are you being informed or inundated? And when you watch the news, I don't care what station that you watch. Again, that's your choice, your preference. I'm not here to debate that today, but I do want to ask you to think about this. Whether you're informed or inundated, and I want you to consider becoming aware of how you feel when you're watching this information. Are you feeling sad? Are you feeling depressed? Do you feel anxiety, worry, fear, doubt? What are those feelings that you're feeling from the news? Are you excited? Do you want to get on board with the negativity that's happening? Do you want to stand up? Do you want other people to hear your voice, your opinion? How is the news making you feel? Okay, let's go back to the very first scenario I asked you about, if you have a friend or a group of friends who make you feel tired and exhausted and perhaps sad or depressed when you're around them. How often do you let these people into your space? Yes, I did say how often do you Let them into your space Because guess what It's your space, your bubble, your choice. So, how often are you allowing these people or person into your space? Now, What if,… what if you cut that down into a quarter of the amount, how would that make you feel? Would it have the same impact or effect on your daily life or weekly I'm going to guess. No. Because now you don't have the weight, the pressure of this person or people or group that make you feel sad, depressed, fretful,

    How To Exercise Consistently

Hi everyone and welcome to the show, a balanced life for you where you design the life of your dreams. I’m your host, Rhonda Cimorelli,  I’m an Accredited Transformational Coach and an NLP Practitioner. The purpose of the show is to give you tools and resources to help you love your life, not just live your life. On today’s show, we’re going to talk about exercise. When you think about exercise, does it make you sick to your stomach? For many of us, we know (I’m going to use a little air quotes), We know that exercise is good for us. We know that we’re “supposed” to do it because it keeps us in shape. It keeps us healthy. From the time that we were young and in school,  gym or PE is required (at least in most states) and many kids, myself included, did not enjoy going to gym class. : For me personally one reason was that I just did not enjoy having a 42 minute  period where I had to go change out of my regular clothes into gym clothes, get all hot and sweaty, changed back into my school clothes, all in 42 minutes. It was just irritating. And particularly when I was in high school, they had swim as one of your semesters. It was really cold, and the Northeast and that just didn’t jive with me at either. And, if you can imagine, at that particular time, the girls were required to get your hair wet. What were they thinking?  Anyway, we won’t talk about high school anymore, but let’s get back to exercise today. I was prompted to make this episode ater I posted a question in my Facebook page, A Balanced Life For You. I asked, “What is one thing you wish you could do more consistently?” There was a plethora of answers. However, exercise was amongst the majority of the answers. My next question would be, “Have you ever exercised consistently?”  Because if you haven’t,  your steps are going to be a little bit different than if you have been consistent in the past an just feel off the wagon. So, let’s talk for a minute. You have been consistent in the past, you did see results but maybe life happened like this crazy Covid-19 pandemic that we’ve been all living through. It has turned your life around, upside down and for many people, the pandemic has caused a lot of stress and angst you are now staying home versus going out to work. You’re staying home instead of going to school. You are now confined with family members 24 seven which is something that you haven’t had to do in the past. I know some people are binge watching Netflix, binge eating, binge drinking or binge drugging. You name it, they’re binging because they’re bored, they don’t feel good, they’re depressed. Have I mentioned any that are applicable to you? Alright, so your world got flipped upside down with the Covid- 19;  Now what? You might be saying; I used to exercise and I was doing it consistently. How did it make you feel? You probably felt great. You had more energy because  the body creates eendorphins. : When you work out, your body makes endorphins and they make you feel good. So exercise really is very healthy for you physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. So how do you get yourself back on track?&  If you’ve never been on the exercise track, this really correlates with an episode I did a while ago, “Setting the right goals”. You want to set yourself up for success. So in the midst of this while you’re still staying at home, what can you do?   Well, let’s back up just a minute and ask a few important questions for clarification. For what purpose do you want to exercise?  What does it mean to you?  Are you healthier, more fit, and have more energy?  Are you happier?   And if you’re not exercising, how is that making you feel?  If you continue to not exercise, what’s likely to happen? you continue to binge watch Netflex?  Will you be depressed?  Will you gain three clothes sizes? I want you to really identify the things that are going to happen to you if you continue to not exercise.  There are so many different ways that we can exercise. We can do your typical, go to the gym, do cardio and do weights. But you know what, I don’t know about you, I never really enjoyed exercising. Yes, I know. I did say I was a fitness instructor, but there’s a funny story behind that. You see all my life, all my teenage years and as a young adult, I never exercised. I didn’t really like it bothered me. The fact that I was in a really bad car wreck, had three kids back to back, all within 5 years, probably did help me in terms of liking exercise. You know, I was just kind of a train wreck. One day I went to a women’s gym and because I had been all kinds of medication I just was feeling really, really bad in my early twenties. The woman owner of the gym started me on the bicycle. And do you know, I was so winded, all I could do was like 10 minutes at a time. That 10 minutes built to15, and 15 built to 30 and before you knew it, I was getting bored with the bicycle. So she says, okay, we’ll alternate between the bicycle and the treadmill. Same thing with the treadmill. Well in the beginning it did not feel good. It was really hard. So I had to alternate and before you know it, I started getting a little bored and wanted to add something else because my bodywas hitting a plateau. If you’ve ever tried to lose weight, I guarantee you’ve hit a plateau. So from there she says to me, you need to add aerobics. You know, do some low impact and high impact. I looked at her and said, “There ain’t no way. I do not like that. I do not want to do that. That is not me”. And she said to me, “If you want to move forward and you want to make progress, you need to add this in”. Well, I wanted to make progress, I wanted to get healthier and in better shape than what I currently was or had been, so I did. I started out in the back of the room. Next, I moved up to the middle of the room, then the next thing I know, I’m in the front of the room and all this took place in aproximately a year and a half. Next thing I knew, my youngest child’s getting ready for kindergarten and they had a help wanted sign. So I thought to myself, Hmm, I wonder if I could do this, if I could teach aerobics, teach weights and get paid. So I thought this is a win – win for me. And sure enough, that was the greatest, or one of the greatest, things I ever did for myself. I became a fitness instructor and got certified and taught class for five years. But the funny thing is the first three months, I worked so hard at such a different level, I managed to stress fracture my femur bone. That’s a whole other story. The point is, you know, no matter where you’re at, starting something new is a process. It can be painful, it might not be fun, but you have to ask yourself, is it worth it? What will it cost me if i don’t do this?  Well, for me, the answer was a lot.  I was on so much medication, my body was in such poor condition after the car wreck and then having three kids.  I was only in my twenties and I needed to get a better body. I did not want to go through my thirties forties and into my seventies and eighties still having so much pain, being out of shape and winded. So, getting back to you, for what purpose do you want to exercise more consistently?   Here are a few things I have discovered about exercise and being consistent; consider how you perceive exercise. Is it fun for you, Because if it’s fun, you’re more likely to do it, right?  If it’s not fun, you’re going to say things like, I don’t want to do it, I don’t have time, I ran out of time … You’re going to come up with every excuse in the book to not do it. So let’s look at different ways that you can exercise. For example, ladies,  maybe you’ve had several children or you had some C-sections like I did. You don’t have a lot of muscle tone, but you know the core muscles are very important, which they are. The abdominal muscles and the back muscles are key for being able to hold ourselves up. What if, what if you did something as simple as this: every morning, before your feet hit the ground, you do leg lifts. AS you are lying there in bed, if you have the strong muscles, do double leg lifts, if you have weak muscles, try one leg at a time.  This will work, the quads, the hamstrings, where at the abs. And, what if you were to do this for 10-20 repetitions on Monday?  Pretty easy, right? Give yourself a win. This part is so important. Getting yourself back on track, especially if you’ve never done exercise or if you’re so far gone that you forgot how to exercise or perhaps you’ve put on the Covid- 19 (kind of like the freshman 15) so working one step at a time. Be careful. Don’t set yourself up for failure. Don’t say, all right, starting tomorrow, I’m going to work out 30 minutes, three times a week. Especially if you haven’t done it at all for the last three months, tomorrow would be a great idea to just get started and give yourself a win. Then, the next day, Tuesday, you can do it again because you did it yesterday. Acknowledge yourself for the little baby steps that you do, and before you know it, you’ll be able to move five minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes. Now, if you’ve been an avid exerciser and you’ve worked out five days a week for an hour and a half, you’re doing a triathlon, but you’ve just gotten a little off task. This will be so much easier for you Allow yourself to say, “you know what, the past is the past. I’m in control. I’m going to do what I want to do and need to do today. Today’s the first of the rest of my life”. So for all you athletes out there, just go do something, get into action, and then do it again tomorrow. Your task is going to be so much easier than the ones who have never exercised or been consistent. So speaking of consistency, we talked about getting into action, giving yourself a reward. Now let’s talk about scheduling. Scheduling is really, really important. ...

How To Set the Right Goals

In this episode, we will talk about how to set the right goals for you so that you can live a Fit and Fabulous lifestyle. Simply stated, a goal is merely a desire that you have that is made with clarity and precision and attached to a deadline. In order to feel like you're, genuinely moving forward and making sufficient progress in your life, it's crucial that each goal you commit to pursuing play a part in driving you in a forward direction Visualizing a goal is more important than having all the answers about how it's going to actualize. Take for example, the first stage in the construction of a house is the creation of a set of plans that shows end vision of what the house will eventually look like. Without this set of plans, it will be impossible for those involved in building the house to know what the end product should look like. If you don't have a clear vision of what you want to accomplish in life, you could end up spending years, going around in circles, committing to things that you don't care about, and frustrated with the world in general. People who aren't actively working towards a goal or a vision in life will often experience life as being meaningless and directionless. A meaningful vision for your future can be as simple as making a difference in the life of one other person, or, it could be impacting the world on an enormous geographical scale - and everything in-between! Goal setting allows you to take control of your life's direction and also provides you with a benchmark that can be used to determine whether you're making progress towards these goals, or whether you're not. There is a simple five step process to help you go beyond setting the goal and achieving it. Understanding these steps will allow you to set realistic goals that you can confidently accomplish. Calm the Chaos

What an appropriate title for this episode, airing only a week before Christmas. The holiday season can be very stressful for many people. How many of the following stressors are you (or did you) deal with over the holidays; Family commitments, school obligation, shopping for the perfect gift, spending over budget, arguments, traveling, cooking, animals, etc. In this episode, I share with you the audio from a recent master class I taught to a group of Mompreneurs. The title is "5 Simple Shifts to Help You Love Your Life", where I share with you ,what you need to be the winner of your own race. Your 1st shift is Awareness. Are you aware of where you are, here in the present, now, aka - reality? Are you aware of who you are being, how you are behaving? Are you aware of the multiple areas in your life that impact the way you life your life? Before you can begin to make changes, you need to figure out what is working and not working. You need to be aware of all the elements that come into play when designing your life. Elements such as: Health & Fitness Money & Finance Business & Career Recreation & Play Service & Contribution Personal Development Relationships Environment 2nd shift: "Integrate Integrity" The degree of which you integrate the standard of high integrity, will determine the quality of your business life as well as you personal life. Baby Steps

I do my best at organizing my thoughts but to be perfectly honest, I find it a bit challenging.  Maybe it’s because my mind is going 90 to nothing because I want more than anything to provide you with enough information that allows you to have a new perspective about who you are and the life you are living.  When you gain a new perspective, you are empowered to make new choices. And when you make new choices, you can change your life. Now that we are in the beginning of a new year, most of us are making resolutions or setting goals.  Goals that will hopefully improve our health, relationships, finances or something else.  For the next few weeks, I want to focus on personal health and fitness including  physical, mental and emotional wellness.  During the month of January, much of the population will set health and fitness goals and many will buy a membership to the local gym.  It usually comes with the declaration  of “I’m going to get in shape this year”. I spoke with someone just the other day who did just that.  She bought a membership for herself and her mother.  The intention was to get to the gym at least twice a week.  During this conversation, she  admitted,  that over the first 10 days of the year, she only made it to the gym once.  What about you?  Did you make a fitness goal?  Did you buy a gym membership?  If you did, how many times a week do you think you need to go to the gym to get in shape?  What ever you answered, this is what you believe to be true.  You are setting your expectations to get a specific result.  I’m going to guess, you don’t want to be disappointed.  You don’t want to find yourself three or six months from now exactly where you are today.  The goal is to make a positive change or improve on the current situation.  Disappointment could happen for a few reasons:   When you set your goal you were not realistic.  I don’t mean realistic about the end result but rather realistic about you. Setting goals and expectations that you most likely wont do because it’s a drastic change from the norm.  Here is an example.  I used to live in the Northeast.  The winters are generally long, cold and not a lot of daylight.  I don’t enjoy being outside especially in the evening when it’s cold and dark.  Now, if I were to declare “I’m going to get in shape this year” and buy a membership to the local gym, I’m setting myself up for failure because the likelihood of me going anywhere I don’t have to when it’s cold is slim and none.   Did you catch what I said… if I don’t have to.  For most of us, getting is shape is a want to, not a have to.       2.  Another way you might let yourself down is being unaware of this silent but deadly habit  “Not doing what you said you would do”.   This falls under the accountability principle. I talk more about that in my DREAM system found in my book Here are some tips to help you set yourself up for success this year. Take baby steps.  Don’t put too much pressure or expectations on yourself in the beginning. When you set a goal, be clear on your why.  In other words, ask yourself “For what purpose am I setting this goal?  What outcome or result do I want?”.   The purpose could be having more energy to play with the kids or grandkids.  Looking and feeling sexy for a beach vacation.  You want to look good and feel proud at your 20 year reunion.  You are tired of being on medication that makes you feel like crap.  What ever the reason, get crystal clear. Don’t make drastic changes.  Ask yourself,  “What could I do differently in the beginning of the year to set myself up for success?” You might consider doing something simple from home.  Did you know that in just 5 minutes a day you can strengthen the core muscles ( abdominals), quads, inner thighs, buttocks and arms.
