A Little Extra with Izzy

Brought one of my long time friend Syre (@syresetfire) in to discuss his journey in coming out, family, pray the gay away, transitioning and everything that’s been a vital part of his journey. It’s hard not to find a place to relate when you see the humanity in others. Put your listening ears on and get ready to be blown away! Happy International Transgender Day of Visibility!        

All the best things in the world come in such different shapes & sizes. You are so incredibly perfectly imperfect but even that may not resonate or be received. Trust me, I get it. I have struggled with my body more than I even care to admit. It doesn't have to be a continual wound, let's find ways to love our bodies and give ourselves a little compassion.

I’ve been incredibly blessed in having these two guys as my best friends. Single fathers, black men, strong in their craft, fluid in their being, it’s the support and love that I’ve always needed. No matter what, we always get deep & connect, here’s a glimpse!      

How can I help others using my underdog story? My failures were twisted successes. My haters were truly my biggest motivators. I never wanted to help myself which resulted in a half ass effort in helping others. I know better and now I will do better. I have found my calling.       

I get asked often how I got into this spiritual part of myself and it all started with Ami. She did my first reading and then really encouraged me to use my intuition, my guides and ultimately my crystals. She’s changed my life and I can’t wait for you to see how this journey wasn’t the pretty picture you may think!

Siblings can be impactful or disastrous. My brother and I couldn’t be more different. Funny thing is, some people don’t even think my brother is real because of how low key and introverted he is. He is a big motivator of mine and I’m honored to talk about him!  

Man if we could just find that one thing to blame it on as we wait for the world to give us what it owes us right? Wrong. We have to start somewhere, it all starts with you. 

Dads am I right? I am truly my fathers daughter HANDS DOWN! My dad has always been a huge pillar and hero in my life. More than he might even know. All I know is I am the person I am today largely because of him!

ALEXA play My Heart Will Go On. IM ABOUT TO GET IN MY FEELINGS and you probably will too. Lets be honest, Mommy/Daddy issues, a lot of us have them. Get it. Got it. Good. As we get older, we are constantly being reminded that we have them while also being reminded of having a choice. I was bitter  and I made the decision to be better. I love my mother and wouldn't be here without her (literally).

We’ve been sold this idea of a fairy tale, but who makes the rules? YOU are your own princess/prince and baby you DONT need saving. You are in control of your narrative, so ask yourself “What would the princess do? what would I do?”
