Episode 1 ~ A Minnesota Courtship 1937-1940
While family members were cleaning out Grandma's home after her passing, two shoeboxes of letters were discovered. One shoebox contained Grandma's letters to Grandpa and the other, his letters to her. The first two letters are dated the 14th and 17th of December, 1937. This is the first, of almost three years of conversations between Don Maddox and Helen Wilson conducted via their almost daily exchange of letters throughout their courtship. In this podcast Tim and Kathy Rogers read Don and Helen's letters aloud. Notes: Paul and Art are Helen's brothers. Kathy is Helen's granddaughter and Tim is her husband of 31 years.
