Episode 65 - Shoot'em Up (2007)
What's up Road Warriors! This week we're bringing you nonstop action and bottles of...well IYKYK, with Brooke's pick of Shoot'em Up from 2007! We forgot how wild and over the top this movie is. Clive Owen and Paul Giamatti did such a great job and played off each other really well. With that being said, wtf happened to Clive Owen's career?! Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of another mid-2000's movie, Cradle 2 the Grave.
-
64
Episode 64 - 3 Ninjas (1992)
What's up Road Warriors! It's been a while since we've done a movie from our childhood so Marc had to pick one that we both had on repeat as kids, 3 Ninjas from 1992! This movie had some terrible acting and weird, unneccesary scenes but it makes up for those with great humour and some kick ass fights. Grab your nostaglia glasses and come sit down with us while we talk about Grandpa Mori and his ass kicking grandkids! Make sure you come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of Shoot'Em Up!
-
63
Episode 63 - Jackass Franchise (2002-2022)
What's up Road Warriors! We decided to do something a little different this week and we're bringing you the entire base franchise of Jackass! All 4 of the main movies will be discussed in this episode to some extent; stunts we would/woud not do, our favourite cast members, some gnarly injuries and lots of other content! We're no strangers to franchise episodes on APOES, but this is a first for APOFR and we had to go big for it so we hope you enjoy! Come back in 2 weeks for a much more toned down episode, with Marc's nostalgic pick of 3 Ninjas!
-
62
Episode 62 - Con Air (1997)
What's up Road Warriors! We're flying in with Marc's pick of March and one that's been on our radar since we started this podcast, Con Air! This movie is peak 90's action and full of everything that makes it a wickedly good time; nonstop action from start to finish, an awesome soundtrack, hijacked planes, and Nic Cage's terrible southern accent. Come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick and our first franchise episode of this podcast, Jackass! We'll be modifying the episode format and doing all 4 Jackass movies (we will not be doing the .5's however). It's bound to be a great time so don't miss it!
-
61
Episode 61 - Shaft (1971)
What's up Road Warriors! This week we're bringing you Brooke's pick of February and in celebration of Black History Month he wanted to pay homage to the first black action hero, Shaft! This was a first time watch for both of us and although neither of us loved it, we did both enjoy it and can appreciate it and understand why John Shaft is so iconic. Come back in a couple of weeks for Marc's next pick and one we've been itching to do, Con Air!
-
60
Episode 60 - The Running Man (2025)
What's up Road Warriors! We're coming at you this week with Marc's pick of Edgar Wright's The Running Man from 2025! This one had the potential to be great but we both agree that it didn't quite hit the mark for us and it's unfortunate because we're both very big Edgar Wright fans. Check out the episode to hear our full thoughts on it! Come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of the original Shaft from 1971! This will be a first time watch for both of us.
-
59
Episode 59 - RRR (2022)
What's up Road Warriors! We're here with Brooke's pick and the first Indian movie on this podcast, RRR from 2022. This movie kind of took the world by storm for a bit when it first came out and it's very obvious why. We had such a great time with this one and it has a little bit for everyone in its 3 hour runtime. There's crazy action scenes, a dramatic friends to foes to friends storyline, a little bit of a love story and some incredible music/dance sequences. If you haven't watched this one, we both highly recommend it! Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of The Running Man (2025). We've covered the first one, now it's time to do the remake!
-
58
Episode 58 - Under Siege (1992)
What's up Road Warriors! We're taking a trip on the high seas for this episode to discuss 1992's action thriller, Under Siege! This is our first Steven Seagal movie and Brooke's first time seeing one of his movies (crazy, I know). So come find out what he thinks and if this movie can survive the test of time with us. Come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of RRR, which took the world by storm for a little while.
-
57
Episode 57 - The Boondock Saints (1999)
What's up Road Warriors! We're shipping down to Boston for Brooke's pick this week and taking on the Russian mob with the MacManus Brothers in The Boondock Saints! This was a movie that we both have watched quite often but it's been a damn minute for both of us. This movie is filled with some wild characters, hilarious one-liners and lots of Irish charm. Come back in a couple of weeks for a new episode and a new year with Marc's pick of Under Siege, which will be our first Steven Seagal movie!
-
56
Episode 56 - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990)
What's up Road Warriors! We're taking it to the sewers with Marc's pick this week with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from 1990! This was a staple of our childhood, much like many 90's kids, and the nostalgia is so real with this one. This movie still slaps and is enjoyable on every aspect; from it's quirky one liners to the epic fights and awesome score, this movie has it all! Come back in a couple of weeks for Brooke's pick of The Boondock Saints! Cowabunga dudes!
-
55
Episode 55 - The Mask of Zorro (1998)
What's up Road Warriors! We're coming at you with a banger from our childhood and one that every 90's kid should remember, The Mask of Zorro! This was Brooke's pick for the month of November, and the nostalgia was real for this movie. It had been a while since either of us watched it but we can both agree that it deserves all the love. Come back in 2 weeks for another nostalgic 90's movie, with Marc's pick of 1990's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! It's going to be a radical time!
-
54
Episode 54 - 300 (2006)
What's up Road Warriors! We're taking it all the way back to Ancient Greece to witness one of the greatest battles of all time with 300 Spartans taking on the powerhouse Persians in 2006's "300", directed by Zack Snyder! This movie is long overdue for the podcast and we're happy to finally be bringing it to you! Come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of the month, The Mask of Zorro!
-
53
Episode 53 - Hobo With A Shotgun (2011)
What's up Road Warriors! We put 2 movies head to head in an Instagram poll and this gem won by a very narrow margin. Hobo With A Shotgun is the epitome of low budget, grindhouse style gory action and we are all for it. It's one of the funnest movies we've covered in a while and it hit the mark on so many things for us. Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's long overdue pick of 300!
-
52
Episode 52 - From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
What's up Road Warriors! It's October and you know we had to do something a little spooky with a side of kickass so Marc picked From Dusk Till Dawn to kick it off! This movie starts off as a typical crime drama but quickly turns into something a lot more sinister once our friends arrive at the Titty Twister, a bar that really...sucks! Come back in 2 weeks for an unkown episode as of right now, keep your eyes on our Instagram page for a poll where our listeners will vote for our next episode!
-
51
Episode 51 - Akira (1988)
What's up Road Warriors! This is a bit of a different episode; not because it's not action or that it doesn't have kickass fight scenes or vehicle chases. It has all of that...in animation! Akira has been on both of our lists to watch for a while now and Brooke finally said "screw it!" and here we are! With it being a first time watch for both of us, it really wasn't what we expected, but not in a bad way! If you've seen this movie let us know your thoughts! Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's action-horror pick of From Dusk Til Dawn!
-
50
Episode 50 - The Northman (2022)
What's up Road Warriors! This week we're covering Robert Eggers Viking adventure epic, The Northman! Come back in 2 weeks for our first ever animated movie, Akira! This one will be a first time watch for both of us and it's been on both of our watchlists for a long time now so we're both really looking forward to it!
-
49
Episode 49 - Kill Bill vol. 1 (2003)
What's up Road Warriors! Two weeks ago Brooke woke up and chose violence, the result? This episode on the incredible, bloody, ass-kicking, katana wielding festival of fights that is Kill Bill vol. 1! This is our first Tarantino movie and if we have anything to say (spoiler: we do) it won't be our last! We asked each other during the episode "What is your favourite Tarantino movie"? It's a hard question to answer, but we extend the question out to our listeners! Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of The Northman!
-
48
Episode 48 - Furiosa (2024)
What's up Road Warriors! It's time to take it back to The Wasteland! This episode is long overdue but we're finally bringing you Furiosa! This is the latest installment in the Mad Max franchise and although it doesn't live up to Fury Road, it's still a pretty damn good movie with a lot to enjoy about it. We both agree it's very unfortunate that it was a box office flop because it MAY have put a hinderance on the creation of Miller's 3rd movie in the modern era Mad Max movies. What are your thoughts on this one? Come back in 2 weeks where we'll be doing our first Tarantino movie, Kill Bill Vol. 1!
-
47
Episode 47 - Bullitt (1968)
What's up Road Warriors! We fired up our engines to discuss a movie that brings one of, if not the best, car chase scenes ever with Bullitt from 1968. This is our first Steve McQueen movie on the podcast and it was a first time watch of the movie for both of us. Come back in 2 weeks where we'll FINALLY be covering Furiosa! It's only a year and a half overdue...
-
46
Episode 46 - Team America: World Police (2004)
Americaaa, fuck yeah! What's up Road Warriors! We're here with Marc's completely off the rails pick of the month, Team America: World Police! This movie is bound to offend some people but it's hard to deny it's a hilarious satirical representation of the world in 2004. No one could have done this movie better, nor do we think anyone has the balls to other than Trey and Matt. Come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of 1968's Bullitt, which will be our first Steve McQueen movie!
-
45
Episode 45 - Warfare (2025)
What's up Road Warriors! We're here with Brooke's pick of July and our second ever war movie, Warfare from 2025. This movie is basically a minute by minute retelling of the events that happened to a group of Navy SEALs on a mission in Ramadi, Iraq. We love how this was shot and directed and it has some of the best sound design we've experienced. If you haven't watched this one yet, we definitely recommend it. Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of Team America...f*** yeah!
-
44
Episode 44 - Bloodsport (1988)
What's up Road Warriors! We're back with another debut actor of the podcast, the one and only Jean-Claude Van Damme in his debut starring role, Bloodsport! This movie has some pretty wild stories behind it and it's creation, which you will hear us discuss a little bit in the episode. JCVD is an awesome action star, so we want to know what's your favourite movie of his! Come back in a couple of weeks for Brooke's pick of a 2025 movie, Warfare!
-
43
Episode 43 - The Transporter (2002)
What's up Road Warriors! We're back for an ass kicking good time with Brooke's pick of June, The Transporter! This was Jason Statham's first leading rold and the movie that shot him to action movie royalty faster than he can kick down a door. We had a blast watching and talking about this movie so much that we're both debating doing a Statham marathon in our free time. Come back in a couple weeks where we'll be discussing Marc's pick of our first ever JCVD movie, Bloodsport!
-
42
Episode 42 - Batman (1989)
What's up Road Warriors! We're here with Marc's follow-up banger of Batman from 1989! This movie wasn't the first Batman movie to ever be made but it definitely helped spark a massive franchise spanning decades with multiple storylines, multiple Batmans and Bruces, and more sexy rubber suits than you can shake your Batarang at! It also gave us a Joker performance that no one could top for almost 20 years. Come back in 2 weeks for our first ever Jason Stathom movie with The Transporter!
-
41
Episode 41 - The Terminator (1984)
What's up Road Warriors! Brooke said enough with the action comedies and shitty movies, and decided to pick an absolute banger for this week's episode; The Terminator from 1984! This movie really shot Arnie to stardom and the massive fame he has now and also kickstarted one of the biggest action franchises ever. Make sure you come listen to us swoon over the movie as well as try figure out the timeline loop that has left us both scratching our heads. Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of Batman from 1989, because we need to follow up this banger with another one!

40
Episode 40 - Jupiter Ascending (2015)
What's up Road Warriors! We were due to have a movie we could shit on and Marc delivered with Jupiter Ascending. We both agree this movie could have been pretty awesome but the execution and poor casting really brought on a bunch of issues for us. If you've watched this and have thoughts on it, please let us know! Come back in 2 weeks where Brooke will be getting us back on track with The Terminator!
-
39
Episode 39 - The Other Guys (2010)
What's up Road Warriors! It's been a while since we've done an action comedy and Brooke thought we were due, so he picked The Other Guys! This movie had one of the biggest WTF moments in 2010 and took moviegoers by surprise in the first 15 minutes, and we're left with nonstop laughs for the rest of the movie. Marc decided to pick another movie we can laugh at, but for different reasons, with his pick of Jupiter Ascending! So make sure you come back in a couple weeks to check out that episode.
-
38
Episode 38 - Becky (2020)
What's up Road Warriors! Marc decided to pick his own movie with an actor stepping out of their comfort this week with Becky from 2020! Kevin James is obviously known for his comedic roles but there's nothing funny about his character in this movie and we are totally okay with that! This movie is an absolute blast and everyone should watch it. Come back in a couple weeks where we'll be talking about The Other Guys which IS all about the comedy!
-
37
Episode 37 - Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017)
What's up Road Warriors! Brooke took the advice of our good friend Ben from XHR Podcast and decided to choose Brawl in Cell Block 99 for our pick this week! Needless to say we are hyped that we listened to his advice because this movie kicks serious ass! We're all for Vince Vaughn doing more movies like this and continuing to stray from his comfort zone. Episode 36 - Red Dawn (1984)
What's up Road Warriors! We're back this week with Marc's pick of March, Red Dawn! We were on a run of high rated movies but that may have come to end with this one. There's lots of explosions, lots of gunfights and lots shitty script writing. Come find out if we think this one is worth a rewatch or not! Make sure you come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of Brawl of Cell Block 99, which was recommended by our homie Ben from XHR Podcast!
-
35
Episode 35 - Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (2000)
What's up Road Warriors! We're here with Brooke's pick of February and our third back to back to back BANGER of a movie, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. It's been almost 25 years since either of watched this and we were most definitely due! We can't believe we slept on this movie for so long after we both watched it shortly after it first came out. This is one beautiful movie and has some of the best martial arts fights we've ever seen. Come back in 2 weeks for Marc's pick of Red Dawn from 1984!
-
34
Episode 34 - 1917 (2019)
What's up Road Warriors! We're back with Marc's pick of February and our first ever war movie with 1917. This was a first time watch for Marc but it definitely won't be a last! This movie doesn't necessarily pack a lot of action into it's 2 hour runtime but the action we do see is some pretty damn realistic portrayals of trench warfare in WW1. Come back in 2 weeks for Brooke's pick of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which neither have seen in the better part of 2 decades so it should be an interesting episode where we'll find out if it's survived the test of time!

Come back in 2 weeks to hear us talk about Brooke's first pick of the year and our first Denis Villeneuve film, Sicario!
-
31
Episode 31 - Violent Night (2022)
Happy Holidays from the Great White North! It's Christmastime so Brooke picked a movie with one of the most badass Santa's ever, Violent Night! This movie, without a doubt, lives up to its name with ultra-violent action, creative kills and a heartwarming story to tie it all together like a neatly wrapped, bloody Christmas present. Come back in a couple weeks to bust out the egg nog and listen to us talk about Brooke's pick of the month, Violent Night! It should be a "sleigh"ing good time!

-
28

What's up Road Warriors! We know it's been a little while but we're made like the zombies in this movie and are back to life! This week we're discussing 2004's Dawn of the Dead, which is Zack Snyder's first big budget movie! We go off on some tangents that include; good places to bunker up in a zombie apocalypse, whether we'd want to be slow moving or fast moving zombies and a brief discussion on where this falls in with our favourite Zack Snyder movies. Come back in a couple of weeks where we'll be talking about our first ever Christopher Nolan movie, Tenet! This will be a first time watch for Marc after he's had Brooke's 4K copy for about 2 years now.
-
27
Episode 27 - Heat (1995)
What's up Road Warriors! We're very late with this episode due to some technical difficulties but we're here to bring the heat with...Heat from 1995! This was Brooke's pick of September and it's one that never disappoints! -
25
Episode 25 - A Fistful of Dollars (1964)
What's up Road Warriors! We've traded in the martial arts and fast cars for gunslingers riding horseback in this episode. We're taking it back to 1964 to talk about our first Western movie, A Fistful of Dollars. This movie is a highly rated classic, but you'll have to listen to find out if we think it's overrated or not. Come back in 2 weeks where we'll be talking about Marc's pick of xXx, which teenage us would have considered a classic but it's likely to have lost some of it's appeal by now.
-

Episode 19 - The Running Man (1987)
What's up Road Warriors! We're here with our first non-Mad Max episode in 2 months and discussing Marc's pick of May, The Running Man. This isn't exactly the first movie people think about when your mention Arnold's name, but it's a classic of his regardless. This movie is filled with American Gladiator-type action, cheesy one-liners and more spandex than a swim meet; one of us digs it, the other maybe not so much. We'll be taking a small break and not quite sure when we'll be back but take comfort in knowing that Brooke's next pick of Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers will have us filled to the rim with nostalgic excitement! Until then, stay chrome and shiny!
