A Time To Reason

Today the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating the constitutional right to abortion throughout the nation. Here is my take on it... Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations - JEREMIAH 1:5

Jesus Christ was considered an outcast; we were considered outcasts and those to come will be from the same cut. It's time we stop tip-toeing around the questions that can set a persons heart back on the path of righteousness.... As was Paul’s custom, he went to the synagogue service, and for three Sabbaths in a row he used the Scriptures to reason with the people. - Acts 17:2

Quite often we have found ourselves asking the following question, " How do I find balance between God and my home?". Here's a thought......it was never about balance, this is about order.  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. - Matthew 6:33

The structure of the church is under attack and it isn't by our enemies but from ourselves. Now early in the morning, as Jesus was coming back to the city, He was hungry. The time we have left is all about perspective.... We are failing... The enemy is robbing our tomorrow through our children... Time to take a stand.

When the word speaks of how Jesus Christ drew us in with loving tender kindness; didn't we take a moment to think that this is what he wanted us to do with others? Often we say, " Jesus loves you". Question, do we love them?

Matthew 24:12 - Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold What happened at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas is absolutely heart breaking. As a father of two boys, I couldn't help but shed tears as I prepared for this podcast today.  The world is going to do it's best and try to search out answers as to why an 18 year old Salvador Ramos did what he did. But the truth is, it was pure evil, it was wickedness that overtook him. This isn't a science thing, this is a spiritual thing...

Matthew 23:12 - For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. I can't tell you how many times I've placed my own will over the Fathers will. Can't even begin to explain the times I felt looked over not realizing there were seasons I wasn't even meant to be looked at.  We need to stay close to the Lords voice...

We are currently living in an age where everyone is looking to place their belief in something or someone. And when I say belief, I mean their form of currency that shows their faith. Whether it be money, time or emotions; we are investing in the wrong things. It's time to look up again...

Our words are heavy and this is why God requires to be mindful since we are accountable for each and every word we speak.

Serving should be at the core of each of us, title or not. And if that's the case, anothers burden shouldn't be just that. Sometimes there is an exchange, but most of the time, there should be a sharing.

Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr wrote, “Some people are so heavenly minded that they are of no earthly good.” This quote has been used to criticize Christians who do little to no work for God here on the earth. Now while that quote may seem proper in it's context, the truth is as follows; if an individual is a true servant of God, than them being heavenly bound would have a greater effect toward the things here on earth. I know there are those who say things with the sole purpose of sounding fancy or wanting to be seen, but it needs to stop.

Today I decided to venture just a tad bit into the darkness of my former life. I truly was ignorant to it's control over me until I was blinded by the marvelous light of this walk. But before that moment of enlightenment, i followed that dark light.  That light which is spoken of in the 11th chapter of the Book of Luke.

"Time is of the essence". This is a phrase we all may have heard at some point in our life. But do we really understand it? And if so, how do we allow it to drive us?  And if we really do understand this, then why don't we allow it to move us? Something to think about.

Today I get a little reflective, what does it mean to lay down one's life for another? The bigger question is, could I do it? Even bigger question, why wouldn't I?

God didn't create us with the intention of competition. The model wasn't to win by stepping on someone else. The feminist movement has been trying and in many times succeeded in infiltrating our churches. When that happens and if left unchecked; the church will begin to crumble. God has a design and purpose, outside of that there is no success. I hope this session provokes a thought and a prayer right after. Please feel free to leave feedback and questions.  Stay blessed :)

God loves a cheerful giver, I am grateful for my upbringing because it helped me to appreciate being in a place where I can give. From time to time, I had been asked about certain moments where my giving raised eyebrows. The majority of the questions were comprised of one word, "WHY?". My response, "Why not?". Had a quick chat with my sister this morning and show had filled me in on a service that she is holding tomorrow at her church. An individual there will be bringing a powerful testimony which will in turn go up against the mindsets of many. She asked that my wife and I keep the event in prayer, which of course we will. So this brought a question up in me, what are we writing on the ground? As Jesus stood in the gap for the woman who was caught in adultery; the bible says that he wrote on the ground. And what came after was a simple statement that caused the crowd to turn and walk away from their initial purpose of stoning that woman. What are we writing on the ground?

In this episode: My wife and I had a discussion while driving into church regarding a timeless question. " Why does God allow bad things to happen"? My response, " He is terrifyingly amazing"... Hope you enjoy my 15 minute splurge on this.  Peace and Blessings :)

In this session I discuss 1 Corinthians 10 where it reads "Everything is permissible,” but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible,” but not everything is edifying." Today, it's a life of little to no consequence with the support of a movement that enables such choices. Although we are a creation of free will and our choices will have lasting effects, that does not mean those effects will beneficial. Someone has to say something...
