This week's edition of Covers vs Originals sees you pick from Cyndi Lauper's version or Roy Orbison's version of I Drove All Night. That's the complete opposite end of the spectrum to the people Marc rants about that are already preparing for Christmas in August! Mission Musical Freedom this week sees us exploring story songs and in the Super Shonky Sunday Quiz we test your knowledge of Bond films. Marc then tackles the question of "where do you come from"? In this week's Covers vs Originals we pit Kool and the Gang against Atomic Kitten. Which one will you choose to hear on the wireless. You might be surprised by the result! After a trip down memory lane, we question some of the things we still do. It's the 2020s and we still obliged to do some very old fashioned things. After getting you to pick the best version of I Will Always Love You in Covers vs Originals, we then explore what's in a name. Turns out they're complicated, hide some low key conspiracies and might get you some free food. In the meantime things kick off in the online chat about KitKats. That then brings us to the topic of things kicking off in Ollerton. Why do some people just want to destroy good things? That in turn triggers a conversation about what kind of dog you are. We're going full local radio. Never go full local radio. Especially when you've got listeners from Canada dropping in. In this week's Elected we tackle the issue of people that don't understand e-mail etiquette. If they can't handle modern technology, it's time to teach a lesson with old fashioned punishment. We then move into the world of champagne in the Super Shonky Sunday Quiz. Is it too posh for us? On a different note, does Google Photos also do that weird thing for you? Who doesn't love a trip down memory lane to that time you took an electricity meter reading. It also turns out Marc made a few mistakes. Watch as he apologises for screwing up some simple things he really should know better about. With the european football stuff happening at the moment, Marc plays some cheeky song choices and gets you to pick the best England football song. Which one did you choose? While the football may have distracted us, Marc finally remembered it was Father's Day. Could he get you out of trouble for forgetting? Only one way to find out! As much as we don't want to end up on a downer, but the Summer Solstice is almost here. Who do we complain to about the lack of summer so far? Is it time to crack out the rain dance in the hope is doesn't work? In this week's edition of Elected we take on the not-so-serious topic of bulk orders. There's nothing worse than the person in front of you at the chippie raiding the place of stock. Marc proposes a real solution to this heart-wrenching problem. The Super Shonky Sunday Quiz returns with a trip into the art world. Do you know your painters and can you figure out who created the Mona Lisa? Marc also takes a look at the Royal Family and their penchant for having more than one birthday. It's often used as an excuse to give our honours. So who would you give them out to and why? That then leads us on to something a bit unusual going on in Edinburgh.

  48. 50

    You stole what?!?

Join us for A Wee Natter, the radio show about the not so important issues of the day. We start by noting that putting the monarch on the new bank notes is the obvious and boring thing to do. So who or what would you put on the new notes instead? After you choose the music in Covers vs Originals, Jenny shares some of her cultural experience after exploring the US East Coast. Turns out eggs are an alarmingly complicated thing to order in the morning, even if they're going to be nicked by the local wildlife. As a bit of a change of pace, we then look back towards Blighty and tackle one of the problems that is plaguing the country. This then turns into a pitch for a new TV series. In this week's edition of Elected, we finally find a solution to those people who insist on sharing their awful taste in music. Will it work? Only one way to find out! The catch is that it could expand into a conversation about what's hot hits in the local nursing home. Our weekly quiz returns with a visit to the world of pandas. Do you know what a group of them is called? Can you get the answer before we end up discussing a loaf of bread? We then move onto hotels struggling with theft and expand out into some of the things you've seen stolen in other parts of life.

    See the Northern Lights

Join us for A Wee Natter, the radio show about the not so important issues of the day. We start by chatting about those songs that remind you of people and things. The odd bit is that it's never the song you expect! Covers vs Originals returns with you picking between the Kinks and Kirsty Maccoll. Which version of Days will play at half past seven? And talking of songs, apparently there's a song on the playlist that was on Jenny & Marc's wedding playlist. Can you figure out which one it is? Off the back of an announcement that Super Spoons is coming to quench the thirst of northerners, we try to come up with a new super hero for Sherwood Forest. Robin Hood has his place but we need a new hero for the 21st century. Jenny then tries to turn into a 21st century hero by tackling the problem of window seats in cafes. In this week's instalment of Elected we tackle the issue of high street banks disappearing. Are banking hubs the solution or is Marc's idea better? In the Super Shonky Sunday Quiz we then find out if your geography is any good. Turns out it is! The discussion of clean air in Greenland then leads on to a discussions around unwanted gas emissions. With both Eurovision and the northern lights appearing last night, we take a quick look at both of them. Though admittedly, being radio, actually seeing them will be a challenge!

    The Hunt for Nessie

Join us for A Wee Natter, the radio show about the not so important issues of the day. We start by finding out about the things you're a proper geek for. While we're not Star Wars or Star Trek experts, we find out Jenny is a real fan of Brookside. We then hand the power of the playlist over to you in Covers vs Originals. Which version of Handbags and Gladrags will you vote for? With the music sorted, we then go on to deliver a public service in reminding you it's a bank holiday tomorrow and you might not want to turn up to work. Suitably chilled by this news, Jenny share the story of something she overheard on the bus to work. In this week's edition of Elected we tackle the problems of Eurovision. Do we have a way for Britain to win every time or a direct path to "null points"? Either way, your suggestions take it to the next level before exercising your grey matter in the Super Shonky Sunday Quiz. As a bit of a palette cleanser after that tough quiz, we then inspect the progress on the hunt for the Loch Ness Monster. Turns out there's more to the mystery than we ever thought possible! The mysteries continue when Jenny tells us about another conversation she heard on the bus.
