Abort, Retry, Fail

On ARF, I try to capture the stories of technologists. Their experiences in their words. I felt that technologists have been quite adept at getting the stories of the machines and the software preserved, and yet not so good at getting their own stories preserved. No one else was doing it, so I decided that I would do so. As I am asking (most often) older people to make time for me, and we are often geographically distant, recording quality will always be variable; I apologize.

From Cobol to PHP - An Interview

I interview Steve Sandler who has been a programmer long enough to have gone from punch cards and UNIVAC to the modern web. I apologize for the amount of background noise; Steve was outside so you'll hear a fountain and some birds.
