Above the Fray

Brooke was diagnosed with severe clinical mental illness and given what felt like a life sentence—that she would not recover. Tormented by deep internal pain, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts, hopelessness and a longing for death marked much of her life. In this episode, Brooke shares how questioning God's goodness in the midst of suffering preceded encountering His love and learning to walk with Him—a journey of healing that led to freedom from what she had been told she would never overcome.
