Based on a hadith, it says, "When Ramadan comes, perform Umrah! For Umrah in that month (Ramadan) as it is equivalent to Hajj (Pilgrimage) or performing Hajj with me." [Sahih Al Bukhari no. 1863] Umrah is equal to Hajj??? what does it really mean? so muslim whom performs Umrah in Ramadan is not obligated to do Hajj anymore?  To answer this question please listen carefully to the audio...we really need to know what it means to get the correct understanding of the hadeeth.  May Allah bless you all, Barakallahu fiikum.

The Virtues of Ramadan: # 6. The expiation of the sins

Assalaamualaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuh, Marhaban Ya Ramadhan! Hi guys, brothers and sisters, May Allah bless you all. This 6th episode we're gonna mention an authentic hadeeth about the expiation of the sins.  The hadeeth says, "the five daily prayers, Friday to Friday, Ramadan to Ramadan will expiate the sins committed  between them as long as one avoids the major sins."  Note: as I have mentioned in the 3rd episode, the sins that will be expiated are the minor sins. So if you fasted last Ramadan with sincere intention and you followed the Prophet's teaching on fasting, whatever minor sins u committed until next ramadan, your minor sins will be expiated as long as the major sins are avoided. Here's the list of major sins muslim must avoid! Shirk (associating partners with Allah), committing murder without a just cause, practicing sorcery, not performing five daily prayers, breaking one's fast during ramadan without an excuse, adultery and the list goes on... Thank you guys for listening, Jazakumullah khairan, May Allah bless you all. The spoken language: Indonesian (English is still in progress...)

The Virtues of Ramadan: #5. The Night of Qadr is in the last 10 nights of Ramadan!

Assalaamualaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuh, Marhaban Ya Ramadhan! Bismillah, Hi guys, brothers and sisters, May Allah bless you all. In this fifth episode, we're gonna mention 2 things. First, the night of Qadr happens in the month of Ramadan based on the hadeeth, "Seek for the night of Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan." [Sahih Al Bukharee] The last thing we mentioned about the virtue of the night of Qadr as well. It is said in the Quran Surah Al Qadr (chapter 97 verse 3), "The night of Al Qadr (decree) is better than a thousand months." Which means the reward of worshipping Allah during the night of Al Qadr is better than the reward of worshipping Allah a thousand months without having the night of Al Qadr in those months. May Allah make the way easy for us to worship Him with a sincere intention throughout the month of Ramadan. Aameen, May Allah accept.

Assalaamualaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakaatuh,  Marhaban Ya Ramadhan!  Bismillah, Hi guys, brothers and sisters, May Allah bless you all. In this fourth episode, we're gonna mention a strong hadeeth of The Prophet Muhammad may peace and blessings be upon him, he said, "Whoever spends the night of Qadr in prayer out of belief and hoping to attain a reward from Allah, then all his past sins will be forgiven." [Sahih Al Bukharee] Keep in mind that it's not just a prayer you could do on the night of Qadr but you could also do any other kind of worships such as reading the Quran, dhikr and supplication. The sins that are mentioned in this hadeeth are only the minor sins.
