    The Anti-Social Mind Virus

"Non draco sit mihi duxVade retro satanaNumquam suade mihi vanaSunt mala quae libasIpse venena bibas" - that is an exorcism prayer. If it made you upset or angry to read that, you should probably look into that, post-haste. And in a way that is what this podcast episode is, a non-denominational exorcism prayer geared towards those stuck in hormone and brain chemistry fueled angry rhetoric. This is your off ramp. Have you been made to believe you sold your soul to the devil? Contained within this podcast is the data necessary to unconstraine one's mind. This is your way out of that crap contract, because the devil isn't a little red man with horns, it's you when you're angry. Stop letting media turn you into little angry devils that do their bidding for them. You have the choice. Use it to be a better human, because thats all we are in the begining in the middle and in the end, humans, all walking this same earth together, it is time we stop pretending the opposite is in any way true.recorded; Saturday october 11th, 2015intro sound is from episode 94 of the original Transformers cartoon, entitled "The Return of Optimus Prime"

    proud to be an American

Free will is a bitch and the founding father's of the good ole U.S. of A. knew that and utilized it to lay the foundations of the systems in which we take for granted in today's world; the concepts of free will, the inherent rights of humanity, and the right to pursue happyness are some of the integral pillars that underpin the foundations of the United States of America. Now is a time in our country to address, repair, and revitalize those foundations and reflect how they have supported the American Idealism and philosophy that has directly correlated with the success of the American Experiment. recorded on Sunday September 28th 2025

    Just Do It

"Just do it" is a powerful affirmation that can provide a boost of motivation allowing you to do great things but with great power comes great responsibility. To an easily impressionable individual the phrase "just do it" becomes a dangerous instigator of chaos and doom. Join me in this episode where I discuss the complicated reality of "just doing it".

  12. 26

    The Ole One-Two

For a "comedy podcast" I haven't really done much comedy on here so this week I thought I'd change that by dusting off an old joke and then breaking down the routine. The joke I tell is one of the first few jokes that I had written with a structure in mind. When I went to record this I tried to find the original copy and notes but I realized I had lost them! And although I've said this one enough times to have it memorized, pulling it from the annals of my subconscious was certainly more difficult than if I was able to just read it over again so the biggest piece of advice that I have would be to hang onto all your material even if you think you can memorize everything or that it might not be funny or worth saving; you don't know when something will randomly become funny one day or what you might forget! Paper and hardcopy is probably best but you do you, just hang onto that stuff!! Anyways there are a few more tips like that in the episode but mostly just sit back and enjoy!

  13. 25

    FUN

F is for friends who do stuff together U is for you and me N is for anywhere and anytime at all Down here in the deep blue sea! -No but really, did you know that fun has a numerical scale? I didn't, not until I came across this article here. It is kind of funny to me that in the article itself the author mentions how even he too had no idea of the existence of a "fun scale" until someone told him about it. That is how things spread now isn't it? One person passing knowledge onto the next and then the next onto another and so on and so fourth until the end of time... So I thought it would be fun to spread awareness of the "fun scale" by doing an "interactive style" podcast episode where you can follow along with me as we fill out our fun scales together! When we're done you can email them in, show your coworkers, tell your mom, hang it up on the fridge, anything we can do to get knowledge and awareness of the "fun scale" on the same level as that "s" thing everyone knows how to draw.

  14. 24

    Agitation

Editing is agitating so I tried to do this one with as few cuts as possible but trying to do it in as few cuts as possible added a pressure that built into agitation the longer the take got, this helped me realize efforts to avoid agitation often times will bring agitation directly to you rather than providing relief. The best way to alleviate agitation is to pull it out by the roots so join me in this episode as I tend to my garden and attempt to weed it of the agitations that have been impeding the growth and movement of my progress and enjoyment of life.

    Salem; Witch Trials

It's October and that means Halloween! Each episode in the month of October is going to have some kind of Halloween theme to it. This week is witches! Specifically the Salem Witch Trials. I drank a witches brew (thc infused lemonade) as an attempt to spur some creativity and inspiration to write this and man...that was a bad idea but a bad idea that helped give me insight into the craziness that the people of Salem village unknowingly dealt with. Plauged with hallucinations fueld by ergotism and religious fervor the village of Salem Massachusetts was a veritable powder keg waiting to blow, one which that when it did blow left a deep scar arcoss American history that still governs our lives to this day. Radiation

What if the song Radioactive by Imagine Dragons was actually in some way, some how, radioactive? Like, if the cords and progressions themselves moved in such a way that the sound itself was a radioactive isotope representative of the conglomeration of the minds of it's creators and contributors? What if how "radioactive" a song is, is what makes it popular or...radio active ;P Join me in this weeks episode where I take a radical approach towards radiation.

  20. 18

    Pull

I really pulled this one out of my...hey wait a minute I used that joke already... I can't pull that one twice so I'll push ahead, I guess that really shows to go ya, from thermodynamics to taoist ideologies that with every push there must be a pull. Hopefully that was enough to pull you in as a listener

    Nepotism

In this bonus episode Adam shares his thoughts on nepotism.

  23. 15

    Paradigm

Paradigm is probably the easiest word to rhythm but I don't think I'll do that this time. This is a description so I should probably provide an inscription of this week's rendition. In this episode I debate whether or not to live life in zombie mode, an inside edition of my current mental health condition. When you have pattern recognition such as mine, you can't help but rhyme from time to time, but did you know that is a symptom of schizophrenia? It's called glossomania. Who knew, Doctor Seuss was kookoo.

  24. 14

    Push

This one was actually a surprise, I went into it thinking it was going to be something else and then I ended up pulling this one out of my....I actually thought the poop bits lasted longer than normal while I was grunting this one out so I examined it over after the fact and yep, they're littered all over the place. I could've easily squeezed out a skateboarding joke or parable but nope, mostly poop jokes...who am I kidding? All poop jokes. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to push this one out in public but when you gotta go, you make doo.

  25. 13

    Collaboration

Stop, collaborate, and listen, Adam is back with a brand new podcast addition. Don't tweak; but you'll never guess. This week; there's a brand new guest. Joe Egitto, a neato, guido, artist aficionedo will tell us all he knows.Want to know more? You'll just have to listen to hear whats in store!

  26. 12

    Innovation

in·no·va·tion noun : a new idea, method, or device  : the introduction of something new Dude I remeber back in like middle school starting a paragraph with a definition as the hook was the illiest writing maneuver you could pull, now that I've grown up I see that people have stopped defining words for us :( we have to do it ourselves now that we have tools like google but usually we just let spell check do it for us because it is so readily available. We have dictionaries on our phones but that is an extra step so we just don't use them. We'd rather use the auto correct because it's so smart and easy to use. So smart that it will adamantly auto correct you to the wrong form of your but not know why, further along in the future we will have relied on auto correct so much that its possible that none of us may even know the right form of you're that you're supposed to use, we will have forgotten definitions all together as a people, left to the wayside as text-to-speech technology took over. We will only know and use words how we have heard them and no one will even know why they are saying the things they are saying like the word saying or for instance, maybe it /has/is/ already happen/ed/ing/! All that will be remembered is that when the mystical words (ur) showed up in any form on any forum that others would come and battle would be had. It is as if we have been innovated into an ouroboros of stupidity, wall-e was not a warning, but a prophecy.

  27. 11

    Good Neighbor

Like a good neighbor state farm is there...but what is a good neighbor? Growing up I was the youngest in my house and the only child on my street, I always wished I lived in a neighborhood full of people my own age. It seems funny yet fitting that as an adult I ended up moving to a city where the motto is literally a "city of good neighbors" and honestly, it lives up to the motto. In this episode you get to meet my neighbor, Jason! It's kind of an interview, not really an interview, mostly just us shooting the shit for 3 hours but listen as we talk about topics such as neighbors, guns, fears, fishing and much, much more! Check out Jason's Youtube channel here !

  28. 10

    Water

Hey! Remember at the end of the last episode about cats when I said I needed to take a shower? Well join me in this episode where I take that shower and dive into the nature of water! Actually the funny part is I recorded this episode before that episode but that episode transitioned so well into this episode that I felt like posting them in reverse chronological order. It's funny how life can work out like that sometimes! Life is like the cyclical nature of water in that way, you need steam to form into clouds to form into rain to form into puddles that form into steam. All of those steps are happening simultaneously, take any one of those steps away and the water's cycle is halted until theres enough energy in the environment to overcome the step that was removed. If it gets so cold that the puddles freeze, then the water is trapped until the ice can melt. On the other hand if it gets so hot that all the water particles become so energized that no clouds can accumulate together, then there will be no rain and that hot area will get hotter. Everything in nature moves in an unseen and perfect balance and in the case of this episode there is a lot that I'm glad goes unseen ;P

  29. 9

    Cats

Almost better than the musical! Join me on my adventure exploring through the chaotic world of cats! For instance did you know that having a cat can make a person less adverse to taking risks?! Some cats carry a parasite called Toxoplasma gondii that when introduced to humans can cause them to take more risks than uninfected people. Weird right? And that’s only one of the symptoms they were able to quantify with data, it could be possible that toxoplasmosis may bring on a whole slew of cat-centered behaviors that one wouldn’t normally do before infection, almost boarding on brainwashing…spooky! But nonetheless, whether I’m brainwashed into it or just by nature, I love cats so join me in this episode where I explore that fascination!

  30. 8

    Progress

Progress can be difficult to measure especially when faced with the ideals of consistency and comparison. If you walk one mile a day for one day then you've walked one mile but if you do that everyday for a month then at the end of the month you've walked 30 miles. Is that same as walking 30 miles in one day? That is an odd and comparative question to pose, here is a follow up to take your thinking further. What if you walked 30 miles a day everyday for 30 days? Then you would have walked 900 miles after one month but isn't that integer just the same additive solution as walking 30 miles in one month only with bigger, "scarier" numerals? Does the larger number make it more of a goal to attain or is just a wall in your way towards what could be larger goals and rewards? If you never walk, if you don't have the strength or experience, then walking one mile might as well be 300. The opposite has truth in it as well, if you're in supreme tip-top shape and walk everyday then walking 10 miles might as well be one. A kitten needs to sleep 22 hours a day in order to thrive and grow but a healthy human is not even able to sleep that many hours in a day, no matter how much they wanted to. We're all different candles that burn at different intensities and in different colors, all should be appreciated but that’s not always the case, especially when appreciation doesn't start at it's own source. Learn to appreciate your flame, learn how to make yourself glow and burn in the ways that you want because whether we like it or not we all lit fam 💯, we didn't light it and we tried to fight it but it's always been burning since the worlds been turning so we might as well learn how to shine in the meantime :P

  31. 7

    The Moth Affect

Everything matters; and like a moth to a flame reason will come to those things that matter to you. I present to you The Moth Affect; named for the light seeking nature of moths this hypothesis suggests that the seemingly disconnected things that we do in the dark will always seem to connect in a way that brings us back to the light. This one consists of an inherently dark story that once analyzed brought me to a lighter understanding of emotions like anger. I fell asleep twice while reviewing it, I don't know if that is a good sign or a bad sign so I will leave it up to you to decide! Enjoy!

  32. 6

    Time

Inaudible mumbling, poorly mixed background music, and a very high host going on nonsensical ramblings about the passage of time and dreams. Yep, I'm back to being experi-mental for sure. When I was younger I had a dream that my house was alone in the middle of a field of tall, golden grasses. There was an even taller fence seperating my house from the the field. In the dream my frisbee went over the fence into the tall grass. I climbed over the fence to get it. From the top I jumped down expecting solid ground but instead I was met with deep marsh waters filled with hungry, biting snakes. The snakes swarmed me and dragged me deeper into the water. I saw that the fence extended far into the blackness of the deep water. I clung on and began the drag myself up against the current of biting, hungry snakes. I broke the surface of the water and caught my breath. That's when I saw it, slithering across the surface of the water, a two headed snake. Knowing that even while seeing it that I still could not belive it I knew that no one else would believe me unless I took it with me. I freed one hand, clung close to the fence with the other, and grabbed it in a fist. I started my journey up the fence but one head of the snake started biting me. I pinched that head between my thumb and knuckle but then the other head started biting me. I switched to pinching that head but the head I had released started biting me again. I realized this two headed snake was a two handed job. Focused soley on bringing this unbelievable thing to the world of unbelievers I forgot all about the fence and let go to clamp down on both heads. I had conquered the two headed snake but I lost my grip on the fence and began to sink into the water where hungry snakes were waiting to prey on me. While being pulled into the blackness of the water both hands clamped on the two headed snake, feet clinging onto the fence for dear life, I knew I had to make a choice but that's when I woke up. The dream was presenting my waking self with a question to be considered. Do I let myself die trying to show the world the unbelievable or do I relish in the fact that I am one that gets to see and experience the "unbelievable"? I hope you enjoy ;) Background music; Yanti Bersaudara - Anggrek Merah -1971- (Cassette, Bali BL 5070), Indonesia https://archaicinventions.blogspot.com/2020/02/yanti-bersadaura-anggrek-merah-1971.html?m=1 WWW.ADAMJCAPPELLO.ORG

    Healing

Did you know June is Men's Health month? I didn’t! Which is why I felt the need to bring awareness to it by doing this week's topic on healing! Healing is one of the most courageous and difficult things someone can do for themselves. An unhealed person can find offense in pretty much anything someone does. A healed person understands that the actions of others has absolutely nothing to do with them. Each day you get to decide which one you will be.If you're paramounting healing in your life, keep going, I might not know you personally but I am proud of you, keep going. If you're going throug a difficult time and need someone to reach out to please call 988 If you want to chat or be on a future episode please email me at [email protected] or check out www.adamjcappello.org and join the discord server!

I'm Sorry for Road Raging at You, Can We be Friends?

In this episode: the human brain, conspiracy theories, celebrity apologies, and spirited away. This one hits all the talking points in just a quick 39 minutes. P.s. if you're not the guy who I think you are, black mini cooper with red racing stripes, then I'm sorry to you too. Just drive more carefully, alright? Not everyone out there has cat-like reflexes like me ;)

  35. 3

    Energy

If you ever feel silly or don't believe in yourself just remember that there is a highly successful and publicly beloved cranberry company named Ocean Spray and cranberries have absolutely nothing to do with the ocean! We all just accepted that it made sense! You would think oh maybe they grow by the ocean or need salt water but nope and nope! The founders literally just thunked up a named and rolled with it and now it is like the only cranberry company anybody even knows about. Just believe in yourself and all things are possible! That is pretty much the gist of this episode but less about cranberries and more about the ideas and the energy behind just going for it.

  36. 2

    Content

Fun fact: Since my last name means hat in Italian I get a lot of weird results when googling myself. This time I came across an old radio commercial from the early 1900s for a company named "Adam Hats" so naturally I had to cut it up and turn it into the new intro for now, anyways I hope you enjoys this episode's "content" ;)

    Structure

In Adam's first solo-dolo-cast he covers a strange array of topics from the importance of structure to the kismet nature of spirit animals and synchronicities. Come along on this haphazard journey as Adam finds his way back to his voice and who knows, you might just find yours along the way too!
