The installation was produced by Creative Time and housed in the old Battery Maritime Building, a gorgeous and partially-derelict ferry terminal next to the Staten Island Ferry. Check out Byrne's page about the project for video, more recordings, etc. The installation ran from May 31, 2008 to August 24, 2008. The day I was there, some Brazilian TV star was running around in there with a film crew. Visitors took a spot in line and waited a turn at the keyboard. You can hear the breaks between players, and each new player's approach in the recording.] https://www.wfmu.org/playlists/shows/28952
