Stochastic House Sifting Sand Project“Lost Soul Blue Sky”“About where I've been & where I’m going”Late in the 90's some college friend and I formed “Stochastic House”. As our card indicated Stochastic house will go “any where”. We went out and did shows at festivals, State Parks, Christian night clubs and the coffee scene. We are an alternative band and have multiple influences such as REM, The Who, The Doors and “The Beatles”. In the early 1990s we open for Randy Stone Hill a well known Christian rocker. Feature on a local newspaper and TV as an up and coming band to watch we felt like we were on our way. It was great while it lasted but as time went on and the band members got older and we all went our separate ways. Today I am writing and recording in my own. About one year ago with my sons help we recorded Stochastic House Sifting Sand. The project was just recently mastered and is to be released this fall. The project was delayed till 2014 due to illness. Today I am truly born

    Set My Soul Free

This song idea was inspired by a conversation with a older man that lived in Oliver springs TN. We had many conversation about God, Heaven and Hell and death and what it will be like for people after death both believers and none believers. We agreed on one thing all people die. And we remain friends even though we disagreed on so many levels. However he was from a generation that new how to respect others points of view. I'm sure he could talk to anyone and you would think you'd been friend forever. This song address memory of our life after death The song Idea was Recorded live in home studio in early 2000 s by our band. With Andrew Thomas on the drums and Myself on Electric . We had a great time recording that summer but this recording was just recently found when we cleaned out the basement after a flood. According to Scripture records of what is done by people on earth, both nonbelievers (Rev. 20:11-13) and believers are archived by God in heaven. (2 Cor. 5:10).Memory is a basic element of personality. We are not different people, but the same people marvelously relocated and transformed. Salvation through Gods Son cleanses our slate of sin and error in our relationship with God and our neighbor, but does not erase it. The lessons we learned here about mercy, grace and justice surely are not lost, but carry over to Heaven. They are built upon and greatly expanded, yes, but not eliminated. (1 Cor. 3:14). At death we are relocated, by the hands of angels (Psalms 91) but this does not relegate our earthly lives to insignificance. There will be ongoing remembrance of our lives on earth . It’s a clear teaching of Scripture. See Randy Alcorn’s book "Heaven".

    Back to You

“Back to you”I am a film maker, a song writer, a father. I have been around long enough to experience life's pleasures and life's storms. I am wise enough to know who I want to go through life with. I enjoy walking in the rain on a summer afternoon. Life is what you make it until tragedy steps into the room. God is always available in each passing moment.

    Everybody Knows Your Name

I recorded this just few days ago. Almost everyone speak of God even when they do not understand who God is. American culture has influenced our language and we pray all the time even though we do not see it that way. We are reminded in the Ten Commandments that Moses brought down from the Mountain that God is listening to us and therefore "You shall not take Gods name in vain." but they did and we do. Aaron Made a symbol that falsely represented God (The Golden Calf) and God who had just given Man the law to bind us together was angry so many had forgotten how great He had delivered them from the hand of their enemies. God is listening to the wows of us all and even when we take the blessings of God and ignore God himself He still is there when we speak his name. Everybody Know His Name. Read the Book of John in the Bible If you want to really knows who God is. But if you don't just realize when you use his name He is there and is ready and willing to help if you need Him.

    Rock the Blue Skys

Rock the Blue Sky”These three things that will always be there for me and you are faith, hope and love! Those who rely on faith in God are blessed. God love all his creation and he rescues and save us from our lawlesness and makes our path straight. Hope? God is hope. God Lovingly worked out our relationships with Him and with each other by his sacrifice we are free There is no greater love than this to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Jesus did just that over 2000 years’ ago on the Cross. There are so many of us that don’t know why God cares. Some of us claim to know Christ and do all we can to show off our religion when all God really wants is to make us strong in all our relationships. First with Him and then with our family, friends and neighbors.

OJ was a phenomena 1st of branded products spending million to make OJ number one. And after his famous arrest the news media began using his number one celebrity spot to further their own brand. The Oj Trial became a phenomena overnight and there was no regard for the truth or for true justice for the case. Just ratings and millions of dollar made by all who would profit. Media to this day keeps playing those games and who can stop this runaway train. Wake up America your being played. The truth is when it comes down to real life events most of us will believe whatever the news feed is for the day. For some of us its just as easier to watch the world go by.

Hay everyone I want to share with you one of my favorite stories of being inspired to write a song. When my oldest daughter Rashel was 6 years old we were living in a tiny apartment at bethel College , you know one of those married couple apartments that has a long hall and the kitchen is just inside the door entrance, and if you turn any direction you’re in the next room. Well I came home and step into this apartment one evening and there on the fridge was a simple drawing of a purple umbrella and a stick figure of my little girl with the biggest smile and underneath was written in Crayola crane “ If I had a magic umbrella I would give it to you and you’d be happy too. You know Like heaven ." Here is the song that was inspired by that drawing. “Magic Umbrella” I hope you enjoy it from my heart to yours.

We question all our loyalties. Sometimes we loose faith in Our politicians, friends ,or even God. That's when we need to pay close attention and take time to make wise prudent decision. Whether we like it or not the choices we make and the people we follow will impact or lives. Our lives are written on the walls of heaven. Copy-write by Alva Thomas 2014 for Stochastic House

Love more and do not fear your enemies. Feed the hungry. Cloth the naked. help the widows and the orphans. Well done good and faithful servant is what i look forward to hearing on the day of redemption. "Rain" Falls on us all.
