Aligned Heart Adventures Podcast
by Kim Ludeman
I believe mid-life women are capable of wayyyyyy more than we've been told.I'm Kim — hiker, backpacker, trail runner, gym rat, and former nutrition coach and trainer. I'm also a mom in my 40's who knows what it's like to try and find alignment — in heart, mind, and body. I want to share my tips, tricks and tales from the gym to the trail to help you feel more empowered and confident when it comes to seeking out adventure. This show is about my journey through strength and adventure — not to chase perfection, but to show what's possible when we choose power, presence, and courage at any age. Around here, you'll hear from me and others about the real truth behind training, fueling, and the kind of adventures that build you from the inside out — with a little grit, a lot of heart, and maybe a snack break or two along the way.Welcome to Aligned Heart Adventures.

Injured Before the Start Line: My Wild Woman 50K Weekend Recap
In this episode, I get real about the emotional experience of showing up for a race I couldn't run, navigating my grief and disappointment while showing up for my friends and my takeaways from this whole experience. I'll take you through the highs and lows of what this process has been like and what it felt like to be present for the whole race weekend experience as an injured athlete on the side line instead of the start line. A HUGE shout out to my friends who participated in their races this weekend. I love you all and am so wildly proud of you!!!

15 Things I Have Learned from Ultramarathon Training
I knew there would be a lot to learn about running an ultramarathon (a distance beyond 26.2 miles) and I also figured "how much harder could it be than running a marathon?". Boy was that a stupid question. Ultramarathons are a whole different beast and training for my first one has chewed me up and spit me out. I have been put through my paces and gotten a complete education in the last eight months. I am happy to share what I have learned in the last eight months as a midlife woman, mom of two and aspiring mountain endurance athlete. Let's dive in, shall we?
