Staying Power 07-15-26 What You Know, You Can Teach

Episode 130: "What You Know, You Can Teach" In this week's episode, Ashley and JDK take a different path than usual (and that is saying something) by exploring what "class" they could each teach for others based on the things they already know, have learned, are enthusiastic about, etc. What ensues is a fascinating conversation that isn't just about knowledge and how we "master" it, but also about how we can choose to embrace the experiences and ideas and traits we have in order to better help ourselves and others. We can either teach ourselves and others, or we can allow those things to limit us or weigh us down unnecessarily. What "class" do you think you could teach right now? How would you organize it and teach it? How would it reflect your unique ways of seeing the world and adding to it? And, what would be added to your life by doing so? LHMF 07-14-26 Brenda Maeder of Jamie’s Journey—Saving Money on Vet Bills and Dog Care

We welcome back Brenda Maeder who has been a guest several times in the past. She is probably best known for her “differently abled” dog Jamie, a deaf and blind white cocker spaniel she rescued nearly 10 years ago who has shown the world that he gets along just fine and enjoys life—and that it’s OK to be different! Brenda has also written a children’s book about Jamie, called Jamie’s Journey. Today we touched on some ways to save money on pet care and vet bills, including --seeking out special discounts and offers from vendors like Chewy and Costco, doing preventive care like dental work to spare your pet from more difficult issues later (heart disease, gut issues), feeding good foods, and even learning to groom your pet yourself. You can learn more about Jamie, and about Brenda’s work, on their Facebook page, aptly titled Jamie’s Journey.

Talk Cosmos 07-12-26 Moon Manifestation & Lunar Mythology

Experience Talk Cosmos on Sunday, JULY 12 at 1:00 PM PDT! Host Sue ‘Rose’ Minahan shares insights interweaving the “July 2026 Moon Manifestation.” Sue explores various lunar mythologies alongside the upcoming 21°59′ Cancer New Moon and the 6°30′ Aquarius Full Moon. The Cancer-Aquarius Lunation Theme Jupiter, the planet of expansion, entered Leo between the June 21st Summer Solstice and the Cancer New Moon. The theme of these two July moon phases jumps circuits into renewing beliefs—for the individual, for communities, and for how we manifest our Jupiterian belief structures within society. In addition, between July’s New and Full Moon, the lunar nodes will shift, transiting to the Aquarius North Node and Leo South Node. Bridge into New Consciousness Mid-month on July 14, the 21°59’ Cancer New Moon reflects upon past stories to strategize adjustments for creating a healthier foundation. A retrograde Mercury activates deep communication, connecting the Sun’s will and the Moon’s emotional patterns. On July 19, Jupiter and the Moon will join an ongoing mini grand trine between Pluto, Uranus, and Neptune. The energetic forces of all five planets tightly intersect at 4°, creating several astrological patterns that kickstart the regeneration of humanity’s consciousness. Remember, what appears as chaotic is simply an undefined process of restructuring. On July 29, the 6°30′ Aquarius Full Moon holds this 4° patterned energy while Jupiter conjuncts the Sun at 6° Leo. Celestial Timing: 14 JUL 2026: 21°59′ Cancer New Moon at 5:44 AM EDT 29 JUL 2026: 6°30′ Aquarius Full Moon at 10:36 AM EDT THE ESSENCE OF THE LUMINARIES: UNDERSTANDING THE CURRENT NEW AND FULL MOON FOR GREATER AWARENESS & CONNECTION TO LIFE. The second week of the month captures the essence of the New & Full Moon. The Moon, our most personal celestial body, regulates the past as it flows into the present, allowing us to experience emotions, habits, and feelings. Ultimately, moon phase energies help us piece together the meaningfulness of our life story. Each month offers new energetic input we can use to grow, heal, and develop in mind, body, heart, and spirit. Connect with inspiration! Mystic Radio - 07-10-26 - Spirit Lady Robin Alexis is BACK!!!

In the premiere episode of Mystic Radio, Spirit Lady Robin Alexis and co-host Mary Stephenson open an honest and deeply human conversation about grief, loss, and the moments in life that change everything. After the sudden and unexpected passing of Robin’s husband and longtime producer, Bob, on March 14, 2026, Robin shares what it feels like to be living through grief in real time. Rather than speaking only from her role as a medium, she allows listeners into the raw and tender experience of becoming a widow — one moment, one breath, and one practical decision at a time. Mary brings a grounded, somatic perspective to the conversation, helping name what happens in the body and nervous system when shock and loss arrive all at once. Together, Robin and Mary explore the idea that when someone has the courage to speak honestly about grief, it can help others feel less alone in their own heartbreak. The episode also includes a touching and relatable story about Bob’s spirit encouraging Robin to replace their washing machine — a simple household moment that becomes a powerful reflection on love, letting go, and learning how to move forward while still staying connected. This first episode sets the tone for Mystic Radio: spiritual, real, compassionate, and deeply human. It reminds us that grief does not follow a straight path, and that even in the hardest moments, we do not have to walk alone.

The Loretta Brown Show - 07-09-26 - SpiriDuality

Today, Loretta welcomes Dr. Daniel Branco who is a neurologist, neuroscientist, entrepreneur, author, and consciousness researcher whose extraordinary career bridges the worlds of medicine, neuroscience, philosophy, and spirituality. After beginning his academic journey in electrical engineering in Brazil, he earned his medical degree, completed a residency in neurology, a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, and later pursued postdoctoral brain-mapping research at Harvard Medical School and Brigham & Women’s Hospital. He also earned an MBA from The Wharton School, combining scientific rigor with leadership in healthcare innovation. Throughout his career, Dr. Branco helped develop functional brain-mapping techniques used during epilepsy and brain tumor surgeries, allowing surgeons to remove diseased tissue while preserving the qualities that make each person uniquely themselves. Yet after years of mapping the living brain with remarkable precision, he found himself confronting one of science’s greatest unanswered questions: if we can identify where thoughts, memories, emotions, and sensations occur, why can’t we locate the one who is actually experiencing them? That question transformed the direction of his work. Today Dr. Branco explores the intersection of neuroscience, consciousness, philosophy, and spirituality through what he calls Spiriduality—a thoughtful, nonreligious framework that invites rational people to explore consciousness without abandoning scientific inquiry. His work suggests that science and spirituality are not opposing worldviews but complementary approaches to understanding reality, meaning, and human experience. He is the founder of ConsciousnessAlma, a school dedicated to helping people discover who they truly are beyond ego, identity, and social roles through direct experience, discernment, and contemplative practice. His work encourages people to move beyond merely thinking about consciousness toward actually exploring it. Find out more at: https://www.danielbranco.com/

DAMTT- Fireworks, Water Works, and Character Quirks

Stacy is bringing even more Veranda Beach vibes to the pod than usual since she’s recording from ON her veranda this week. With kids, their plus ones, and plus ones visiting for the July 4th holiday weekend, it’s hard to eek out quiet space. The good part is kids visiting, great weather and fun adventures to wineries and mini golf; the flipside is that even adult children want to be fed three meals EVERY day! Aside from that, VB is an awesome spot to celebrate the holiday in a lowkey, family fun, and classic way. Eric and “The GF” will celebrate after a nice waterfront meal with a primo spot to watch the fireworks over Tacoma. Meanwhile, Gertie will hide out at home. Eric has good news in the form of his car’s database working again and bad news in the form of a leak that after multiple trips to the water meter, Home Depot, and Lowe’s is not yet fixed. He’s hoping there’s only fireworks over the holiday, no waterworks because any glue he has at home has dried up (Eric definitely did not point fingers at the culprit). If any listeners out there have a solution for effectively closing glue (and food in general), let us know! Although Stacy’s daughter suggested she watch White Chicks for her CBS, Stacy watched the 1970 movie M*A*S*H instead. She watched and loved the TV show so decided to check out the movie. She enjoyed it and appreciated the coping with humor, satirical commentary it must have represented during the time of the Vietnam war. Eric watched Whatever Happened to Baby Jane after hearing Stacy’s take and was also riveted by the acting and actors that chewed up the screen and story. He and The GF also enjoyed Widow’s Bay, an Apple original that’s both spooky and funny. As for bar soap versus body wash, Stacy and Eric agree, everyone needs a little bit of soap, but perhaps it should be sold in bulk like oatmeal? Or bring back soap-on-a-rope! Staying Power 07-01-26 Why Being Seen Matters

Episode 128: Why Being Seen Matters Most of us can remember a moment when someone noticed us at exactly the right time. Not because they solved our problems. Not because they had all the answers. But because they saw us. Inspired by a story of a hotel housekeeper and a struggling job seeker, Ashley and JD explore one of the deepest human needs: the need to feel seen, valued, and acknowledged. Drawing from neuroscience, attachment theory, and social psychology, they discuss why recognition matters so profoundly, how loneliness often begins with invisibility, and how small moments of attention can have effects we never fully understand. Because sometimes the thing that changes a life isn't advice. It's being noticed. And be sure to check out the fine work done by our sponsor, Pars Revive Renovation! https://parsrenovation.com/

They challenge listeners to take personal accountability, reject complacency, and evaluate if their long-term visions are truly aligned. To check out more of Chris Bulik's high-value coaching, raw insights, and solo episodes, make sure to subscribe to his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@GoodFaithPodcast. Throughout the episode, Glen and Chris tackle viral online scenarios, starting with a 44-year-old woman blindsided by her partner’s sudden declaration that having children would mean "betraying himself". They break down the biological realities of dating, the unspoken double standards of step-parenting, and why baseline values like family and finance must be discussed on day one. The hosts also take on the tragedy of a marriage decaying from stagnation and a long-term lack of intimacy, offering practical solutions like using outdoor activity and personal purpose to reignite attraction. Finally, they pull no punches when roasting a coasting husband who secretly ducks out of work early while expecting his wife to cover the bills, sparking a fiery debate on modern hypergamy, traditional gender roles, and the catastrophic impact of a missing masculine drive. DAMTT Deadly Women Ginger Vitis, Mahjong Moms, and “The Bride”

Stacy is back in her happy place at Veranda Beach enjoying sunburn, social time, and solo watch parties tackling her Cultural Blind Spots. Eric rocked out with his band Battersea at The Valley in Tacoma last week; looking cool with his blue tint shades (is it less distracting or does he just enjoy the vibe?). Apparently, his missing tooth saga did not deter his singing although his Sonicare toothbrush DID deter his sleeping – the ghost of cavities past?! Should Stacy get a Waterpik flosser? Should she cover the bathroom (and herself) in plastic when using it? Eric has a simple solution. Also, is there a worse sound than a chirping low battery fire alarm? Summer has started to open its’ front door in Tacoma and is enjoying lazy days on Zero Gravity chairs not afraid of pitching over at all. As for her CBS, Stacy dove headfirst into the world of mahjong. Having only ever played with her mother-in-law, Stacy finds herself knee-deep in the rules, drama, and accessories that are American Mahjong. She also finally watched Napolean Dynamite and found it utterly delightful and would also like Pedro for President. For his CBS, Eric tried (and failed) to watch The General with Buster Keaton. While Buster may be a legendary silent film star known for his physical comedy, the movie goes South quickly. To cleanse the palate, Eric watched, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair. Classic Tarantino with great music and lots of violence; plan for snacks and bathroom breaks given its’ four plus hour run time. Stacy comes out swinging on their top topic this week boldly declaring her disdain for breakfast. Eric walks her back from the ledge pointing out it’s not the meal, it’s the foods she dislikes. Meanwhile, Eric tucks into a full Irish Breakfast enjoying every morsel of the blood sausage. Talk Cosmos 06-21-26 Summer Solstice Vibrational Patterns

Jump into Talk Cosmos on June 21 from 1-2 p.m. PDT for the “Summer Solstice Vibrational Patterns”.  Join us as we explore these vibrant energies through VA's unique lens and embrace the solstice as an energy portal into this season's full potential! Through the unique lens of Vibrational Astrology’s software system, we will discover distinct collective consciousness patterns. Deep within the 2026 summer solstice chart, these frequency patterns profoundly shape this season. Since pre-historic days, humanity kept watch on the seasonal turns by observing the sky. Embraced as a spiritual portal to celebrate abundance, the Summer Solstice launches the return of the light in the Northern Hemisphere. Traditional bonfire rituals lit up the night sky, to symbolize life’s manifestation and renewal. SOLSTICE LATIN ROOTS  On June 21st at 8:24:13 a.m. GMT and at 4:24:13 a.m. EDT, the Sun transits 0° Cancer while it appears to stop for three days and ‘hover’ over the northern Tropic of Cancer.  This apparent ‘celestial pause’, known as SOL-STICE derived from Latin roots, literally means: “Sun” "Stops". Earth tilts on its 23°26’ north south axis, placing Earth’s northern hemisphere to lean closest to the Sun during its annual orbit. Daylight stretches to its fullest, casting long shadows to ignite our spirits with warmth and possibility. The conversation also shifts to cultural critiques, including the outrageous markups of the modern wedding industry, the tragic reality behind flexing wealth at "hood proms," the critical importance of writing a will early in life, and an analysis of a husband struggling with thirty-second intimacy limits. DAMTT- Boy Apartments, Sunset Boulevard, and Hornblower

Stacy has been on the road a lot of late; first off to Cali to see her twenty-something son before going home to San Antonio for a quick trip. The visit with Charlie involved multiple trips to IKEA and a lot of resisting the urge to clean and organize. Two highlights were Stacy celebrating her 34th wedding anniversary with Pete and putting a foot in the ocean. Meanwhile Eric continues to have fun filling the gap in his mouth and is looking forward to pulling a Cindy Brady for his upcoming Battersea show at The Valley (June 20th) in Tacoma. Stacy’s CBS (cultural blind spot) was watching Sunset Boulevard which made her favorite skit from The Carol Burnett Show, make SO MUCH more sense. It’s a classic for a reason and the topic of our relationship between ego and mental health is still relevant today. Eric explored two sides of a coin, first watching Master and Commander of the Far Side of the World with Russell Crowe, followed by Kneecap, a movie about the Irish hip hop trio – yes, you read that correctly. He was a fan of both movies although hip hop as a genre still alludes him. What does the Good Housekeeping say about when to floss? What does Stacy’s hubby do? Will they stay married as a result? How does Eric feel about night guards and addressing the reason behind his teeth grinding? Take a listen and learn! The Loretta Brown Show - 06-18-26 - Tapping into the Akasha

Today, Loretta welcomes Rohini Moradi who is an author, musician, artist, storyteller, and spiritual teacher whose work explores the intersection of consciousness, intuition, creativity, memory, and personal transformation. Born in Tehran, Iran, Rohini grew up in a remarkable spiritual environment. Her father served as the pujari of the city’s only Hindu temple, while her mother expressed the unseen world through art. Surrounded by sacred rituals, storytelling, music, philosophy, and frequent travels to India, Rohini developed an early understanding that wisdom can be transmitted through many forms—not only words, but also sound, memory, experience, and intuition. Throughout her journey, one theme continually emerged: the idea that all human beings are connected through a deeper field of wisdom, memory, and consciousness. This exploration led to her new book, Tapping into the Akasha, which brings ancient teachings about the Akashic field into practical modern life. Through meditation, visualization, self-inquiry, and intuitive development, Rohini teaches readers how to access inner guidance, understand their soul’s journey, deepen self-awareness, and connect with a greater sense of purpose. At the heart of Rohini’s work is the belief that awakening is less about becoming someone new and more about remembering who we have always been. Talk Cosmos 06-14-26 Gemini-Capricorn Moon Phases

Join Talk Cosmos, Sunday 14 JUNE 2026, 1–2 p.m. PDT as we explore the “GEMINI CAPRICORN MOON PHASES” about the upcoming New and Full Moon. Together, the theme of the two upcoming moon phases coincides with several big celestial turning points. In between the new and full moon, Chiron enters Taurus after its long 8-yr Aries transit. Taurus shifts us to begin its 7-year transit of healing self-worth where we shift perceptions from scarcity to abundance. Importantly, this month’s pair of lunations suggests gathering information to activate new directions for healing our worth and environment. It begins June 14 with the 24°03’ Gemini New Moon promoting deep activation, completing a powerful healing process of releasing what prevents us from nurturing our full identity. On June 29 the 8°15’ Capricorn Full Moon occurs a week after the June 21 Summer Solstice, which falls on the first quarter moon. The next day, on the 30th, Jupiter enters its new year cycle in Leo! Shortly thereafter, Jupiter will square Chiron on July 1 to activate healing in a BIG way. Perhaps wounds surfacing of scarcity to be addressed with the intent of beginning to transmute these limitations towards an expanded perspective for experiencing abundance. It helps to remember that Gemini connects and gathers information, while Capricorn strips anything superficial away to find its fundamental basis. Together their energetic consciousness operates to achieve a sense of clarity; necessary for the spark of Mars activating the Uranian essence in the moment as they will soon be conjunct in Gemini the communicator. The Essence of the Luminary The second week of the month focuses on capturing the Moon’s essence during its New and Full phases. As our most personal planet, the Moon regulates the past as it flows into the present, allowing us to experience emotions, habits, and feelings. Ultimately, it helps us piece together the meaningfulness of our life story. Each month offers the energetic input needed to grow, heal, and develop in mind, body, heart, and spirit.
