    Ep.89 Minor Prophets: Nahum 1:1 to 3:13

In this lesson, we begin our look at the Book of Nahum: introduction through chapter 3 and verse 13.

  2. 88

Ep.88 Wisdom's Path: Which Way Are You Headed?

From Proverbs 1:7, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,” this message asks a piercing question: Which way are you headed? Every life moves toward wisdom or foolishness. God’s Word calls for a course correction through Christ, “the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:24). Turn from drifting, seek Him, and walk the path that leads to life.

  3. 87

Ep.87 From Bitter to Blessed (Ruth 2:18-23)

In this message from Ruth 2:18–23, we see how God turns bitterness into blessing through His providence and His people. Naomi, once consumed with sorrow, begins to see the hand of the LORD at work through Ruth’s faithfulness and Boaz’s kindness. “Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness” (Ruth 2:20). This passage reminds us that God’s hesed—His steadfast lovingkindness—often comes through ordinary acts of obedience and encouragement. As Ruth labored faithfully, God was weaving redemption through every detail. We are challenged to be encouragers, channels of grace, and instruments of hope. Above all, we are pointed to Jesus Christ, our Kinsman-Redeemer, who redeems, restores, and brings us into His family forever.

  4. 86

    Ep.86 Minor Prophets: Micah Conclusion

In this lesson, we finish our look at the Book of Micah with a look at the End Times prophecies of the Book of Micah.

  5. 85

Ep.85 I Stand at the Door & Knock (Revelation 3:14-22)

In this message from Revelation 3:14–22, Christ confronts a lukewarm church that appeared strong outwardly but was empty within. He declares, “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock” (Revelation 3:20), revealing His patient, pleading heart toward sinners and saints alike. Though rejected, He still invites: “if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in.” This is a call to repentance, renewed fellowship, and true surrender. Christ is not impressed with appearance—He seeks the heart. Will you open the door? Will you live for self, or fully yield to Him who alone gives life, joy, and eternal reward?

  6. 84

Ep.84 Come Thou Hither & Eat (Ruth 2:14-18)

This message from Ruth 2:14–18 reveals the heart of our Redeemer, who not only allows us in His field but calls us to His table. Boaz’s words, “Come thou hither, and eat of the bread” (Ruth 2:14), picture Christ inviting sinners into covenant fellowship through His grace. Ruth, once a stranger, is brought near, satisfied, and strengthened. After the meal, she rises to labor with renewed purpose, gathering abundance through “handfuls of purpose.” So it is with the believer—saved by grace, then sent to serve with endurance and joy. The same Lord who invites also provides. “Come unto me… and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Will you come?

  7. 83

Ep.83 The Minor Prophets: Micah 1:1 to 4:13

In this episode, we begin our look at Micah from an introduction to the book through chapter 4.

  8. 82

Ep.82 God is Our Refuge (Psalm 46)

In this powerful message from Psalm 46:1–11, we are reminded that when everything around us gives way, God remains unshaken—“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). From the storms of life to the shaking of nations, this sermon calls us to anchor our souls in the unchanging character of God. We are not promised a life without trouble, but we are promised His presence: “The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge” (Psalm 46:7). When fear rises and control slips away, God commands us, “Be still, and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Is He your refuge today?

  9. 81

Ep.81 The Dwelling Place of the Most High (Psalm 91)

In this powerful message from Psalm 91:1–16, we are reminded that true peace is not found in circumstances, but in dwelling “in the secret place of the most High.” Through the testimony of suffering and the promises of God’s Word, this sermon calls us beyond a casual relationship with God into a life of abiding trust. He is “my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust” (Psalm 91:2). When fear rises and trials come, God does not promise escape from every storm—but His presence in it: “I will be with him in trouble” (Psalm 91:15). Are you visiting God in crisis—or dwelling with Him daily? The difference will shape everything.

Ep.80 The Minor Prophets: Jonah Conclusion

In this episode, we finish our study in the Book of Jonah.

  11. 79

Ep.79 The Gospel of Jesus Christ Part Three: The Resurrection (Matthew 27:62-28:8)

In this Resurrection Sunday message from Matthew 27:62–28:8, we stand before the empty tomb and face the truth of the Gospel. The same leaders who cried for His death tried to seal His grave—but “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said” (Matthew 28:6). This sermon calls us to stop looking outward and to examine ourselves, for “Christ died for our sins…was buried, and…rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). The stone was rolled away, not to let Him out—but to show us He lives. Will you believe—and be changed?

  12. 78

Ep.78 The Gospel of Jesus Christ: Part Two - The Burial (Matthew 27:51-61)

In this powerful message from Matthew 27:51–61, we explore the burial of Jesus Christ—one of the three truths Paul declared as “first of all” in 1 Corinthians 15:3–4. After declaring, “It is finished” (John 19:30), our Lord yielded up His spirit, and heaven responded. The veil was “rent in twain,” the earth quaked, and even a Roman centurion confessed, “Truly this was the Son of God.” With time running out before the Sabbath, God raised up Joseph of Arimathaea to secure and bury the body of Christ, fulfilling prophecy and demonstrating bold discipleship. This sermon highlights the urgency, the sacrifice, and the divine orchestration surrounding Christ’s burial. Most importantly, it reminds us that “Christ died for our sins…was buried, and…rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Have you believed this Gospel?

  13. 77

Ep.77 The Gospel of Jesus Christ: Part One - The Death (Matthew 27:45-50)

In this powerful message, The Gospel of Jesus Christ: Part One — The Death, we journey to the cross through Matthew 27:45–50 and behold the greatest event in human history. The Apostle Paul declared, “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3, KJV), and this sermon unfolds that truth with clarity and conviction. This was no tragic accident—it was a divine triumph. From the supernatural darkness to the agonizing cry, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46), we see the full weight of sin laid upon the sinless Son of God. Christ bore the wrath we deserved, satisfying divine justice completely. When He cried, “It is finished” (John 19:30), the debt was paid in full—Tetelestai. This message will challenge you to consider: Have you personally received what Christ accomplished on that cross?

  14. 76

Ep.76 Minor Prophets: Obadiah Conclusion to Jonah Introduction

In this lesson, we finish up our look at the Book of Obadiah, and we begin our look at the Book of Jonah.

  15. 75

Ep.75 Be Zealous Therefore & Repent (Revelation 3:14-19)

In this message from Revelation 3:14-19, we examine Christ’s sobering words to the church at Laodicea and His call to genuine repentance. Though the church appeared prosperous and successful, the Lord declared, “thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked” (Revelation 3:17, KJV). This sermon reminds us that outward religion can hide inward coldness, and that lukewarm Christianity is intolerable to the faithful and true Witness. Christ’s loving counsel is clear: “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent” (Revelation 3:19, KJV). True revival begins with honest self-examination, renewed abiding in Christ, and wholehearted repentance. When we turn fully to Him, He restores vision, righteousness, and spiritual fire. The call still stands today—be zealous, and repent.

  16. 74

Ep.74 The Scarlet Thread of Grace (Matthew 1:1-6)

In this message from our Ruth series, The Scarlet Thread of Grace (Matthew 1:1-6 KJV), we trace the stunning story of God’s redeeming grace through Rahab, Ruth, Boaz, and David, all the way to Jesus Christ. Scripture declares, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8). God’s grace does not wait for worthy people—it finds broken people, redeems them, and uses them for His glory. Discover the scarlet thread that runs through all Scripture.

  24. 66

    Ep.66 Minor Prophets: Obadiah

In this episode, we survey the powerful message of the Old Testament book of Obadiah—the shortest prophetic book, yet one filled with sobering truth and glorious hope. Obadiah exposes the pride of Edom, the descendants of Esau, who rejoiced over Israel’s suffering and trusted in their own strength rather than the LORD. God declares that no nation, fortress, wealth, or alliance can shield the proud from His righteous judgment. As Scripture says, “The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee” (Obadiah 3, KJV). Yet the prophecy does not end with judgment. It looks forward to the day when God restores His people and establishes His kingdom. Obadiah 21 declares the triumphant conclusion of history: “And the kingdom shall be the LORD’S.” This study explores God’s justice, His faithfulness to His covenant people, and the ultimate triumph of His kingdom through Jesus Christ. Join us as we uncover the timeless warning against pride and the unshakable promise that the LORD will reign forever.

  25. 65

Ep.65 Let the Woman Learn (1 Timothy 2:8-15)

Let the Woman Learn (1 Timothy 2:8–15 KJV) tackles one of Scripture’s most debated passages with clarity, courage, and pastoral care. This message calls the church to submit to God’s Word without twisting or ignoring it, and to apply it without abuse. Paul addresses order in worship: men are commanded to lead in prayer with holy lives, and women are called to adorn themselves with modesty and good works, cultivating a spirit of quiet teachability and joyful submission. The sermon explains the biblical boundaries of teaching and authority in the gathered church, rooting them not in culture, but in creation order and the events of Eden. It also brings hope from verse 15, showing God’s grace and purpose for women as they continue “in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.” This is a call to abide in Christ, renew the mind, and grow in obedient trust of God’s wise design.

  26. 64

Ep.64 Lifting Holy Hands: A Call to Pure Faithful Prayer (1 Timothy 2:1,7-8)

Lifting Holy Hands: A Call to Pure & Faithful Prayer (1 Timothy 2:1, 7–8 KJV) is a stirring summons to make prayer the lifeblood of our walk with God. The Apostle Paul declares, “I exhort therefore, that, first of all… prayers… be made for all men,” and commands that men pray “every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.” This message calls the church to fervent, thankful, Christ-centered prayer—supplication for needs, intercession for others, and worship rooted in truth. It challenges us to examine our hearts, reject bitterness, silence unbelief, and approach the throne of grace with clean hands and steadfast faith. As we abide in Christ, speak truth without compromise, and pray with purity and confidence, we position ourselves for God to work mightily for His glory. “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” (James 5:16 KJV)

  27. 63

Ep.63 Minor Prophets: Amos chapter 7 to Obadiah Introduction

In this episode of our Minor Prophets survey (KJV), we move through Amos 7 and step into an introduction to Obadiah. In Amos 7, we witness the Lord’s visions of judgment—locusts, fire, and the plumbline—revealing that God measures His people by His righteous standard. “Thus he shewed me” (Amos 7:1) reminds us that divine revelation precedes divine reckoning. We also see Amaziah’s rejection of truth, a sobering picture of religious resistance to God’s Word. From there, we transition to Obadiah, the prophet of divine retribution, where the pride of Edom meets the certainty of God’s justice: “The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee” (Obadiah 1:3). This lesson underscores a timeless truth—God holds nations accountable, opposes pride, defends His covenant purposes, and promises that “the kingdom shall be the LORD’S” (Obadiah 1:21).

  28. 62

    Ep.62 A Great Commission Church (Revelation 3:7-13)

In this message from Revelation 3:7–13, we examine what truly makes a church great. The church at Philadelphia was small, weak, and outwardly unimpressive—yet Jesus offered no rebuke, only commendation and promise. Why? They kept His Word, did not deny His name, and walked through the open doors He set before them. Christ reveals Himself as the Holy One, the True One, and the Sovereign One who holds the key of David—opening doors no man can shut. This sermon calls us to measure greatness by faithfulness, not size; by obedience, not applause. A Great Commission Church sees Jesus as awesome, remains steadfast under pressure, and lives anchored to His promises. No matter how little strength we think we have, a church faithful to Christ and His Commission will be rewarded by God.

  29. 61

Ep.61 When God Shows Up: The Grace of the Harvest (Ruth 2: 4-13)

In “When God Shows Up: The Grace of the Harvest” (Ruth 2:4–13), we see that what looks like coincidence is actually providence. Boaz arrives in the field with, “The LORD be with you,” revealing a man whose faith shapes everyday life. His grace toward Ruth goes beyond the Law—protecting, providing, and speaking kindly to a foreign widow who asks, “Why have I found grace in thine eyes?” Under the imagery of God’s “wings,” we glimpse a portrait of Christ, our greater Redeemer. When we abide faithfully in God’s field, we discover He has been at work long before we arrived.

  30. 60

Ep.60 Minor Prophets: Joel to Amos Chapter 6

From the closing promises of Joel to the sobering warnings of Amos 6, this teaching episode traces God’s call from mercy to accountability. Having seen the Lord’s invitation to repentance and restoration, we now confront the danger of spiritual complacency: “Woe to them that are at ease in Zion” (Amos 6:1, KJV). Discover how God rebukes comfortable religion, exposes false security, and calls His people to humble, urgent faith in every generation.

  31. 59

Ep.59 We Must Seek to Make a Difference - Not Put on a Show (Revelation 3:1-6)

In Revelation 3:1–6, Christ confronts the church at Sardis—a congregation with a strong reputation but a lifeless reality. This message warns believers and churches not to substitute appearance for authentic spiritual life. True faith is marked by watchfulness, repentance, and obedience, not performance or image. As part of the Safeguarding the Church series, this episode calls us to abide in Christ, be renewed by His Word, and grow in holiness—seeking to make an eternal difference, not merely put on a show.

  32. 58

Ep.58 From Bitterness to Blessing: When God Turns Mourning into Morning (Ruth 1:19-2:3)

Naomi returns to Bethlehem broken and bitter, convinced God has left her empty. Yet in the very season of harvest, the Lord is already arranging redemption through Ruth’s faith and His unseen providence. In this message from Ruth 1:19–2:3, discover how God works in our deepest disappointment, planting hope where sorrow once ruled. Learn how His covenant love turns bitterness into blessing and mourning into morning for all who trust His redeeming hand.

  33. 57

Ep.57 Minor Prophets: Joel Lesson 1b

In this lesson in the Minor Prophets, we continue our look at the Book of Joel.

  34. 56

Ep.56 What Jesus Condemns (Revelation 2:20-29)

In Revelation 2:18–29, Christ confronts the church at Thyatira for tolerating false teaching in the name of love. Activity without truth invites judgment. Jesus condemns compromise, disciplines in mercy, and calls His people to guard the whole counsel of God. Yet He promises power, reward, and the Morning Star to those who overcome. Hold fast. Stay faithful. Truth matters.

  35. 55

Ep.55 When God Visits: Faith Clings (Ruth 1:6-18)

When God Visits & Faith Clings explores Ruth 1:6–18, the powerful turning point where divine discipline gives way to mercy and steadfast faith reshapes destiny. After years of famine, loss, and bitterness, Naomi hears that “the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread” (Ruth 1:6, KJV). That visitation sets everything in motion. This episode walks through four movements in the text: the Husband’s visitation, the Wife’s return, two contrasting choices, and a covenant commitment that changes history. Naomi pictures Israel—disciplined, scattered, and empty—yet not forsaken. Ruth, a Gentile outsider, makes a decisive break from Moab and clings in faith, declaring, “Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God” (Ruth 1:16, KJV). You’ll see how Orpah’s reasonable choice leads to obscurity, while Ruth’s costly commitment leads into God’s redemptive plan—ultimately to David and to Christ Himself. Along the way, this passage reveals God’s faithfulness to His covenant, His mercy after judgment, and the kind of faith that transcends comfort, culture, and circumstance. This message calls every listener to examine their own commitment. When God visits, will you turn back to what’s comfortable—or will you cling to Him in faith, no matter the cost?

  36. 54

Ep.54 Minor Prophets: Hosea Lesson 1b (Hosea 11-14) - Joel Lesson 1a (Introduction)

In this lesson in the Minor Prophets, we finish our look at Hosea and begin our look at the Book of Joel.

  37. 53

Ep.53 One GOD, One Mediator, One Ransom (1 Timothy 2:5-7)

In a world that insists there are “many paths,” Scripture speaks with thunder: one God, one Mediator, one ransom. From 1 Timothy 2:5–7, this sermon reveals the great chasm sin created—and the only Bridge God provided: “the man Christ Jesus.” He alone stands between a holy God and sinful men, and He alone “gave himself a ransom for all.” No substitutes. No shortcuts. No second door. Hear the heartbeat of the gospel, feel its urgency, and be called to rest in the sufficiency of Christ alone—then carry that message to a world that desperately needs the Truth.

  38. 52

Ep.52 Strengthen the Church for the Good of Society (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

What if the greatest good the church can offer society isn’t political power or cultural influence—but prayerful, godly faithfulness? In this message from 1 Timothy 2:1–4, we discover God’s blueprint for a church that abides in Christ, is renewed by His Word, and grows into an agent of good for a broken world. Learn why praying for all people, pursuing godliness, and living for the pleasure of God strengthens the church and transforms communities. A call to rise up, be faithful, and strengthen the Church—for the glory of God and the salvation of souls.

  39. 51

Ep.51 Minor Prophets: Hosea Lesson 1a (Hosea 1-10)

In this episode, we journey through Hosea’s powerful portrait of God’s covenant love toward His unfaithful people. From the drama of broken vows (Hosea 1–3) to the courtroom indictment of sin (Hosea 4–10), we hear the Lord’s charge: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6) and His gracious invitation, “Come, and let us return unto the LORD” (Hosea 6:1). This lesson covers the book of Hosea through chapter 10. Our next Minor Prophets podcast will pick up in Hosea chapter 11.

  40. 50

Ep.50 Missionary Mark Perez (Matthew 9:35-38)

Listen to this sermon about laborers for the harvest from Missionary Mark Perez, Missionary to Uruguay.

  41. 49

Ep.49 Abide, Renew, Grow (John 15:1-8)

Welcome to Anchored and Advancing from New Beginning Baptist Fellowship. In this sermon Pastor Sieber opens John 15:1–8 and invites listeners to "Abide, Renew, Grow": remain in Christ, allow God’s pruning to renew the heart, and bear much fruit for God’s glory. The message explores the vine imagery—Jesus as the true vine, the Father as the vine dresser, and the practical ways God’s Word and God’s love heal and transform us. Listeners are encouraged to reconnect with Christ, pursue Bible-saturated renewal, and join the church’s 2026 vision and ministry initiatives to grow in faithful outreach.

  42. 48

Ep.48 Heaven: Babies, Disability & Hard Questions (2 Samuel 12:19-23)

Heaven isn’t a theory when you’ve stood beside a tiny casket or watched a loved one live with profound disability. In Lesson 10 of our Heaven Bible Study, we face the hard questions with Scripture: David’s confidence—“I shall go to him” (2 Sam. 12:23)—and Christ’s heart for little ones (Matt. 19:14). God’s justice and mercy are flawless; His grace covers those incapable of responsible choice, and Heaven is where every disability is healed and every tear is wiped away (Rev. 21:4).

  43. 47

Ep.47 What Jesus Praises (Revelation 2:18-20)

Jesus sees more than reputation—He sees reality. In Revelation 2:18–20, the Son of God with eyes “like unto a flame of fire” praises Thyatira’s “works…charity…service…faith…patience,” and says “the last to be more than the first” (Rev 2:19). Part 1 highlights what Jesus commends: gospel-driven mercy, compassionate ministry, and steady endurance—while warning that love must never become tolerance of sin or false doctrine. Learn what Christ praises, and pursue a church He approves.

  44. 46

Ep.46 The Lord Visited... Giving Them Bread (Ruth 1:1-6)

In Ruth 1:1–6, God exposes a Judges-era culture where “every man did…right in his own eyes” (Judg 21:25) and death multiplies. Yet “the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread” (Ruth 1:6). This sermon calls the church to be a true “house of bread”: unapologetically pro-life, compassionate to the wounded, and practical in crisis—while holding fast that God works in the womb (Ps 139:13) and Christ “cleanseth us from all sin” (1 John 1:7).

  45. 45

Ep.45 Heaven: Animals, Music, Work & Eternal Purpose (Revelation 5:13; 22:3)

Heaven is not clouds and boredom—it is life as God always intended. In this study, we explore what eternity will truly be like: a restored creation filled with worship, meaningful work, perfected relationships, and joyful service. Scripture reveals a future where the curse is gone, Christ reigns, His servants serve Him, and every good gift—music, purpose, and fellowship—is fulfilled forever in His presence.

  46. 44

Ep.44 Safeguarding the Church from the Enemy (Revelation 2:12-17)

Safeguarding the Church from the Enemy — Revelation 2:12–17 What happens when a church stands where Satan dwells? In His letter to Pergamos, Jesus Christ appears with a sharp two-edged sword, commending faithfulness under pressure while confronting tolerated compromise within. This message calls believers to hold fast His Name, reject doctrinal corruption, repent where truth has been softened, and overcome by clinging to Christ alone. Faithfulness matters when the enemy is at the door—and even more when he is inside.

  47. 43

Ep.43 There Was a Famine in the Land (Ruth 1:1-5)

In Ruth 1:1–5, a real famine exposes a deeper one—spiritual starvation in “the days when the judges ruled.” This message traces what spiritual famine looks like in a nation and a home, and why you can’t outrun it by fleeing to “Moab.” But hope breaks in: “the LORD… visited his people in giving them bread” (Ruth 1:6). The cure is God’s Word, repentance, and the Redeemer—pointing to Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life.

  48. 42

Ep.42 Heaven & the Coming Kingdom (Luke 19:11-27)

Heaven is not escape—it is Christ’s coming Kingdom. In this lesson from Luke 19:11–27 (KJV), Jesus corrects the false hope of an immediate Kingdom, then commands His servants, “Occupy till I come.” The King went away to receive a Kingdom, but He will return, call His servants to account, reward faithfulness, and judge rebels who say, “We will not have this man to reign over us.” Your hope is not vague: He reigns, and His saints shall reign with Him.

  49. 41

    Ep.41 Be Encouraged (Revelation 2:8-11)

Be Encouraged (Safeguarding the Church #8) — Revelation 2:8–11. Christ, “the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive,” speaks to the suffering church at Smyrna. He knows our “tribulation” and “poverty, (but thou art rich),” warns of trials, and says, “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer” and “be thou faithful unto death.” Stand fast in His rewards: “I will give thee a crown of life”—and the overcomer “shall not be hurt of the second death.” Hope for believers in hard days.

  50. 40

Ep.40 When Every Man Did What Was Right in His Own Eyes (Judges 21:25; Ruth 1:1)

In a land where “there was no king in Israel” and “every man did that which was right in his own eyes” (Judg. 21:25), Ruth opens “in the days when the judges ruled” (Ruth 1:1). This sermon traces the downward spiral of Judges—covenant amnesia, compromised worship, and social chaos—then shows Ruth as God’s quiet mercy in dark times. From famine and funerals to fields and hope, through Naomi, Ruth, and a kinsman redeemer, see the LORD preserve His promise and encourage our homes today.
