Episodes

  1. There's Only One You

We are all unique, with different stories to tell. This has quite a long intro - main part begins around 1:13. Created with Reason 11 and Kontakt.

  2. An Everlasting Rainy Day

An alternate, gloomy variation of "Negative Space." Created with Reason 11.

  3. Barricade

This follows "Far From a Fairytale", borrowing some of its instrumentation and taking a different direction. Created with Reason 11.

  4. Crucial Evidence

For when events in Klout Court have taken a dramatic twist, such as a key piece of new information has come to light.

  5. Making a Difference

Happy music for when the outcome of a Klout Court case brings about positive change.

  6. A Jury of Five

Background music composed for Klout Court, a stream where people can call in with their case and viewers can cast guilty/not guilty votes, with a jury of 5 people providing their thoughts on the cases. Styled after a combination of courtroom TV shows and computer games.

  7. Nightowl

This started out as a character theme for a computer game idea I had a few years ago. The chord sequence is similar to that of "Again the Sun Shall Rise", which would've been for a particular scenario involving this character. Created in Reason.

  8. Jerry on the Shore

This funky little number is about Augustus Klout's seal of justice (Jerry.) When Jerry's not overseeing the courtroom activities he likes to spend time down at the beach. Experience more of Klout Court here: https://linktr.ee/kloutcourt Track art by Luna_LoneWolf

  9. Negative Space

A journey through negative space. Made with Reason 11.

  10. Mind Torment

Based on a piece of music I created quite a long time ago.

  11. Untravelled Paths

Both parts of "Untravelled Paths" joined together. This is how I originally arranged it, but the two parts are very different from each other so I separated them later.

  12. Untravelled Paths (Part 2)

A soundtrack-like piece of music with a mixture of different moods throughout. There are a few melodies but mostly it is background / mood-setting. Originally intended to be some kind of soundtrack where different layers could be added/taken away and different parts looped to give some variety…

  13. Untravelled Paths (Part 1)

A calm, gentle piece based on a melody from a previous one ("Into the Core") but using a different chord sequence. Designed to be background music for some kind of computer game, not to accompany any particular event but to give some mood/atmosphere.

  14. Far from a Fairytale

A fairly uneasy/daunting piece of music which gets more pleasant toward the end. I think it gives a feeling of uncertainly followed by reassurance. Composed toward the end of 2017 but I couldn't think of an appropriate name for it at the time. I have a few other pieces inspired by this which I'm...

  15. Return of the Furry

Made this little piece of music back in 2013. It was originally meant to be just a music-box version of my older piece "Home in the Sky" but it was around Halloween time and there were some films on TV at the time which probably influenced the way this developed! Composed using my own MIDI…

  16. The Long Journey Home

Here's a remastered version of "The Long Journey Home", which was originally released around 15 years ago. As the title suggests, the inspiration for it was the return home from long journeys away. This is something I often find has an odd feeling to it - a mixture of different moods and thoughts...

  17. Into The Core (Curious Adventurer Edition)

A classical, adventurous variation of one of the melodies from my other piece "Into the Core" (https://soundcloud.com/silverblade_uk/into-the-core). Originally released January 2017. Updated October 2017 with some adjustments to the sound quality of the celesta (thanks to John Yentes for...

  18. Mechanism (Part 2)

"Nobody knows how it works They don't care about that Just as long as it works The trouble is: One day it will break And nobody will know how to repair it Because they didn't care how it worked" Based upon a small section of the first part and borrowing many of the sounds from it. Partly inspired...

  19. Again the Sun Shall Rise

A slow, melancholic variation of another piece I'm working on.

  20. Into The Core

Inspired by hacking computer code: A couple of years ago I had a fun task of injecting some computer code into another program in order to extract information from it whilst it was running. I found it quite fascinating. I started making this track when I was putting together a drum loop for…

  21. The World Moves On (Part 2)

A particularly dark/dramatic soundtrack, inspired by the seemingly futile efforts of trying to achieve something that others have already achieved - i.e. the rest of the world has moved on, leaving you behind. (Part 1 has not yet been released)

  22. A Moment in Chaos

What starts out as a gentle/calm piece later becomes more "chaotic" - but is the beginning a calm before the storm though or a moment that seems to last forever in the middle of something significant?

  23. Fin

The final part of "Transmission Control", which follows a similar "cyberpunk" theme. This one's inspired by the observation that modern technology compels us to use it, and how its usefulness and convenience is exploited to benefit large corporations. It's more dramatic/moody and less intense…

  24. Syn

A short piano-based prelude to one of my other pieces("Transmission Control"). I felt the lead melody would work quite well as a stand-alone, more peaceful composition.

  25. Light on the Horizon

Be sure to experience this one with headphones on. This piece evolves from a fairly dark, somewhat sad-sounding beginning into a more euphoric and light later section, whilst still prominently carrying through some of the feeling of the earlier section. Part of the inspiration behind this track...

  26. Transmission Control

Started making this during the middle of the night a couple of weeks ago. Felt like doing something different to the styles I've recently explored, and also see what kind of noises I can make by abusing some of the controls in Reason. It has a bit of a cyberpunk feel to it (perhaps a little...

  27. The Last Frost

Originally composed sometime during 2007, this piece is named after the fairly cold/icy feeling it has to it. Most of this piece remains how it was originally written, with exception of the final 45 seconds or so (the original ending didn't really seem to work). I had also tried making some other...

  28. Mechanism (Part 1)

Gradually transforming from a gentle little melody into a mechanical behemoth, this piece is somewhat symbolic of nature being replaced with factories and machinery. The main instrumentation progressively changes until eventually it becomes a hybrid of natural and artificial sounds which work...

  29. Beneath The Stars (Instrumental)

An instrumental version of one of my old songs from ~2005. This is basically how the track sounded before words were added (the bass and drum loop were added later). For those interested in the history of this piece of music, it was originally the intro part of "Something to Remember me by", and...

  30. The Village with No Apples

An assortment of motifs played through a mixture of classical instruments with OPL3 synths and other heavily-distorted sounds. Made using Reason 8 on a Surface Pro 3, mostly in a hotel room over the other side of the world whilst suffering from jet-lag.
