Episode 219: A Haunting at the Adelphi Theatre and Mysterious Death of Chuck Morgan
This week on Another Fucking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy are coming in hot off their Paranormal Activity live obsession, which means this is now a theater ghost podcast. First, Monique tells the story of Jason Manford and the ghost of William Terriss at London’s Adelphi Theatre. In 2012, Jason was performing as Signor Pirelli in the West End revival of Sweeney Todd, which meant that every night he got his throat slashed onstage, went back to his tiny dressing room, cleaned off the fake blood, and FaceTimed his family before bed. Then his three-year-old daughter asked, “Daddy, who’s that man behind you?” Tall. Dark hair. Mustache. Dressed like a soldier. Crying. And then Jason found out about William Terriss, the beloved Victorian actor murdered at the Adelphi Theatre stage door in 1897. The same stage door that sat directly beneath Jason’s dressing room.GIRL. Then Amy covers the mysterious death of Charles “Chuck” Morgan, and no one is okay. In 1977, Chuck disappeared, came home three days later missing a shoe, bound in plastic handcuffs, unable to speak and writing that he had been kidnapped and tortured. He claimed his throat had been painted with a hallucinogenic drug and warned his wife that calling the police would be a death warrant for the whole family. Two months later, he disappeared again. His wife got a call from a woman called “Green Eyes”, who said Chuck was alright and gave her Ecclesiastes 12:1-8, which is a flowery-as-fuck way to say something terrible has happened. Then Chuck was found dead in the desert wearing a bulletproof vest, shot in the back of the head, with a $2 bill pinned to his underwear, cryptic names, Bible references, a map toward Mexico, guns, ammo, handcuffs, CB radios, a briefcase and no fingerprints. And somehow, police ruled it suicide. That three year old said “I see dead people” but the episode reminds us that all around us are just dumb people (peep the police).

Episode 218: The Ghost Who Solved a Murder & Deadly Victorian Beauty Trends
This week on Another Fucking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy are going from evidential mediumship to Victorian death aesthetics, so buckle up babes, because the range on this one is aggressive.First, Amy tells the story of Ivy Sundarji, a lifelong skeptic, atheist and science-minded writer who did not believe in ghosts, mediums or any of this spooky shit. Then her fiancé Jahangir drowned in a surfing accident, the exact kind of death Ivy had once seen in a vision years earlier, and suddenly her house starts acting haunted. Then the story turns into true crime.Ivy begins seeing a little blonde girl who says “Daddy did it.” She hears the name Kayla. She sees a missing-person style image. She gets flashes of New Hampshire, cold weather, a rundown car, a duffel bag, Stark Park, Elm Street and details she has no normal way of knowing. Later, those details connect to the murder case of five-year-old Harmony Montgomery. And the coincidences are off the fucking charts. Then Monique takes us into the Victorian era, where tuberculosis somehow became aspirational. Consumption, also known as the White Death, turned people pale, thin, weak and almost translucent. Instead of saying “that is horrific,” Victorians said “ooh, a new beauty standard!” We’re talking lead makeup, mercury creams, belladonna eye drops, arsenic wafers and radium products. Because apparently if the label says “safe,” everyone just says, “cool, let’s put rat poison in the body and see what happens.”This episode has grief, ghosts, evidence, dead people with better communication skills than the living and the most horrific of them all: toxic beauty standards.

True Listener Tales #43: The Bathroom Mirror Face, The Black-Eyed Girlfriend And The Glitch-Walking Demon
This week on Another Fucking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy are back with True Listener Tales #43, aka everyone’s reminder that real people are out here living through things that would make us simply pass away.First up, we have a sibling “prank” where a brother convinces his younger sister that he killed their mom. Not cute. Not funny. That is villain origin story behavior. Then we get into Christie’s Ouija board sleepover, where a ghost named Rasha shows up, Christie gets a violent headache, runs to the bathroom to throw up, looks in the mirror and sees a smiling figure behind her in the hallway. But that’s only the beginning. There’s Vinesh hearing his grandfather call to him right before learning he died. Then a theater ghost that apparently hates ghost lights and possibly Peter Pan. Then Sergio, praying over his girlfriend Jane before her hand shoots up, grips his wrist with inhuman strength, her eyes go fully black and something says she belongs to it. Then Bala speaking in his dead uncle’s voice at a funeral. Then a Tombstone tipping table that rejects both Marcy and a crucifix. Then grandparents who are very much not giving cute grandparent ghosts. Then Maeve’s two-dimensional shadow demon that glitch-walks toward her bed. And, finally, Anthony McNamee’s near-death experience, which ends with him back in his body and later watching a glass shoot across the room.Watch now. Then submit your own True Listener Tale at anotherfuckinghorrorpodcast.com if you have survived something equally cursed.

Episode 217: Trina’s Gettysburg Ghost Souvenir And The Matthew Nolan Oppenheimer Case
This week on Another Fucking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy are giving you a haunted honeymoon, a fake Oppenheimer and two stories where the central lesson is honestly pretty simple: stop running your mouth around forces you do not understand.First, Monique covers Trina’s Gettysburg ghost story, which starts with a honeymoon ghost tour and quickly becomes the most egregious case of “fuck around and find out” out this podcast has ever covered. Trina mocked the experience, wandered into a field connected to Civil War soldiers who had drowned after the Battle of Gettysburg, and joked about taking a ghost home as a souvenir. What happened next was a water-based horror movie that’ll make you perk right up. Then Amy covers the case of Matthew Nolan, Christopher Nolan’s older brother, whose story went viral online as the “fugitive hitman brother named Oppenheimer” rumor. The reality is more complicated, but still absolutely fucking wild. Matthew allegedly used the alias Matthew Oppenheimer while posing as an heir to the Oppenheimer diamond fortune, got tied to a Costa Rica scheme involving missing money and became connected to the kidnapping and murder of American accountant Robert Cohen. We’re talking fake passports, Interpol red notice, a daughter begging authorities to help her father. And there is, somehow, still no real justice for Robert Cohen. This episode comes with the very clear reminder to respect the dead, research viral claims and maybe don’t invite anything home unless it’s for a friendly coffee.

Episode 216: Mia’s Nightmare, James’s Mirror Man And Yiya Murano’s Cyanide Tea | Monique & Amy
This week on Another Fucking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy are giving you two stories that are wildly different but share one deeply cursed message: sometimes the people with the strongest vibes are the ones you should be the most suspicious of.First, Amy covers Mia’s story from the Otherworld Patreon, featuring James, a mysterious ex-boyfriend who said he could sometimes have the dreams of the people he slept next to. Mia did not believe him, because obviously that is an insane thing to say. Then he described her lifelong recurring childhood nightmare in perfect detail, despite the fact that she had never told him about it. After that, the nightmare stopped. And then a mirror got involved; Mia saw James’s body reflected back at her, but with a completely different old man’s face. And so did his therapist. Then Monique covers Yiya Murano, Argentina’s Poisoner of Montserrat, AKA a wannabe in every sense of the word. She wanted to be rich, elegant and seen as a high-society woman, so she started scamming her friends through a fake investment scheme. When those friends started asking for their money back, they began dying within weeks of each other after visits involving tea, pastries and suspicious digestive “remedies.” Autopsies later found cyanide. But the truly fucked part? After prison, Yiya became a pop culture celebrity in Argentina. All while the actual victims were reduced to footnotes in the story of the woman who killed them. This episode is a strong argument for checking angels’ feet, covering mirrors at night, and never accepting pastries from anyone described too many times as “elegant.”

Episode 215: The Frederick Valentich Disappearance And The Port Chicago Fifty | Monique & Amy
This week on Another Fucking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy celebrate Amy’s birthday the only way that makes sense: with a UFO disappearance, a military disaster and enough institutional bullshit to make you want to scream into a pillow.First, Monique covers the mysterious disappearance of Frederick Valentich, a 20-year-old Australian pilot who vanished over the Bass Strait in 1978 while reporting a strange object flying above him. His final transmission? “It’s not an aircraft.” Then came 17 seconds of creepy mechanical noise, and absolutely no clarity. Then Amy covers the Port Chicago disaster of 1944, where Black sailors were forced to load live ammunition without proper safety training while white officers raced crews against each other for speed. The result was a catastrophic explosion that killed 320 people, including 202 Black sailors, many barely out of their teens. And because apparently the Navy had not done enough damage, the surviving Black sailors who refused to return to the same deadly conditions were charged with mutiny. It took 80 years for the Port Chicago 50 and the other convicted sailors to be officially exonerated. So, yes. This one has aliens, cover-ups, racism, birthday energy and the usual dose of “are you fucking serious right now?”Also, if you’re listening when this drops and you’re a last-minute girly, come see Monique and Amy live at Florida Man Live on Friday, July 24 at 8 PM at Shillelagh Tavern in Astoria. Expect true crime, themed drinks, Florida chaos and outfits that say “I may or may not own a flamingo lawn ornament.”Tickets via Eventbrite or https://anotherfuckinghorrorpodcast.com.

Episode 214: A UFO In Maine and The Kiss-In That Changed History
This week on Another F*cking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy are offering UFO dread, queer history and multiple reasons to scream into your hands (sorry not sorry). First, Amy covers the Allagash Abductions -a 1976 UFO case involving four friends, a late-night fishing trip, a massive campfire, a very bad decision involving Morse code and a strange light that came way too f*cking close. What starts as a wilderness trip quickly turns into missing time, shared nightmares, hypnotic regression and alien encounter details that are deeply creepy. Then Monique tells the story of Ted Brown, a Black gay activist who helped organize London’s first Pride march in 1972. But before that, his life was shaped by racism, homophobia, poverty and a biological father who drugged his pregnant mother’s coffee and used the police to have her institutionalized. So, yes. This one’s another reminder that aliens are unsettling. But humans are way f*cking worse. Come for the UFO, stay for the PSA that Pride started as protest, visibility can save lives and shitty men remain one of history’s most consistent villains. Also, if you want this exact “what the f*ck?” energy in person, join Monique and Amy at Florida Man Live on Friday, July 24 at Chili Tavern in Astoria. Florals, flamingos and fabulously Florida outfits are strongly encouraged. Tickets via Eventbrite or anotherf*ckinghorrorpodcast.com.

Episode 213: A Haunted Dorm, A Dead Spy and One Very Fucking Suspicious Bag
This week on Another Fucking Horror Podcast, Monique and Amy dive into two stories that start off creepy and end up being infuriating.First, Monique takes us inside Montreal’s Grey Nuns Building, where a viral video of flickering lights sparked ghost theories online. The lights themselves? Not ghosts. The building’s actual history? So much worse. We’re talking about a fatal 1918 orphanage fire, reported ghost children, a crypt full of bodies beneath student housing and the complicated legacy of Marguerite d’Youville and the Grey Nuns. Then Amy covers the deeply suspicious death of Gareth Williams, a British intelligence officer and mathematical genius found dead inside a padlocked red North Face duffel bag in his bathtub. The official explanation says “accident”. The forensic details, the missing fingerprints, the sweltering apartment, the delayed reporting and the “too clean” crime scene say: abso-f*cking-lutely not. This one’s a reminder not to trust the official story just because someone in a suit said it confidently.
