Live mix at The Flat, Houston,TX 22JAN14
This is an excerpt from a live mix I did at the Flat for the Soular Grooves Happy Hour in January. I had some technical difficulties during the recording so there will be a slight static noise with a few tracks. It was a live set so the show had to carry on! Enjoy! 00:00 Jazz Liberatorz...

Cymatic Ascension
I created this mix to help me cope with the passing of my friend and teacher “Cacho”. Cymatics is the study of visible sound vibration. For me these songs help me visualize my friend's spirit ascending throughout the multiverse unhindered and free. This Mix is dedicated to his memory and to...

Fierce
Merry New Year to everyone, One of the key things I enjoy about DJ'ing is the ability to weave between different styles of music. This mix is titled "Fierce" because I wanted to be more bold with my musical selection. We all know that there's an element of courage involved with any new task we…

Post Valentino
Hey there. Welcome to the newest edition of Atlantean Beats. This mix was intended to be released on or around Valentine’s Day( as you can tell from the first few tracks). You’ll have to forgive my tardiness. In other music related news, the radio show (Soular Grooves) is going great. The…

Saturnalia
Greetings to all. My apologies for not posting anything sooner. The Semester proved to be much harder than I anticipated and left me with little time to devote to music. The only worthy music news is that I’m now apart of the Soular Grooves radio crew. It’s a weekly radio show on Kpft devoted to…

The Virgo Suite
My Good Peoples, I worked really hard on this mix both technically and with song selection. On a personal note I’m about to start my final two semesters of Grad School. As a result I will have to cut back on my podcast. From now until I graduate, I will post a new episode every two months. My…

Self Reflexive
Greetings to all. It has been a VERY busy summer. So far I've acted in a short film, traveled to El Paso for a ceremony, and I've recently been working at a summer camp for kids teaching art. I'm also currently in the process of moving. This month's album cover is a picture of all my records in…

Verano Grooves
Doing things a little different this month. The music selection is more of the uptempo/house genre. Not to worry, I’ll be returning to my downtempo roots next month. Just had to try something different. Peace, Delsur 1. Snooze “Doremifa girl” 2. Tauras “ Together”(cry tough original) 3. Eva Be…

Sign of the Times
Given the current world events, I felt compelled to put this mix together as a response. The truth is that the times have always been hard. From antiquity to the present, people of all nationalities and cultures have had to cope. This mix is my creative way of coping with it all. Peace, Delsur 0....

Vinyl Serigraph
Delsur here. You may have noticed the name change for the show. I wanted something to reflect the creative state of mind these songs emanate from. Atlantis is said to have been a place of technology and the arts. Hence the title "Atlantean Beats". This month's mix is something i put together for…

Black Box
This month's mix was a set i did for an art opening for Phi Phi Oanh(www.phiphioanh.com). The theme of the art show was based on black boxes the artist created. Phi Phi constructed these boxes using the traditional vietnamese method of bamboo and lacquer. Her paintings on the boxes depicted…

Dark Rift
This months episode is a trip hop tribute. The dark rift is cluster of clouds of the milky way galaxy 300 light years from earth. I originally made this mix to accompany an art opening of work that was "dark" themed. Can you guess what movie i got the sound bites from? Enjoy! 1. junkwaffle...

Sundance Mix
This mix is an amalgamation of hip hop and 80's r&b. I first played it at a boy-cott magazine event in the summer of 2007. I dressed up as my halloween character "lil juan" for the party. It was the last time i dj'ed an event in costume. I've since retired the character but every once in awhile...

Delsur Premiere
This is a HipHop mix i made in 2007. It was for a show called "Halloween Havoc". I met Jeru Da Damaja there. He helped me solve some sound problems with the venue's mixer and turntable so i could play. I dressed up as "lil juan" who is basically the mexican version of lil' jon. The costume...
