WHY ARE MISSING WOMEN, MISSING IN MAINSTREAM MEDIA??

We wanted to shine light to the increasing numbers of missing women and children across the USA. From kidnapping to just not being seen anymore, we are wondering why isnt no one else talking about it? Black women and girls are disproportionately represented in missing persons cases, yet their stories often receive less media attention and law enforcement resources compared to their white counterparts. This disparity is linked to systemic issues such as racism, bias, and lack of adequate resources. In 2022, Black women and girls accounted for over 36% of all missing person cases while making up only 14% of the female population. Organizations like the Black and Missing Foundation and Our Black Girls are working to raise awareness, provide resources, and advocate for these communities. Addressing this crisis requires a multifaceted approach, including increased media coverage, more resources for law enforcement, and addressing the systemic issues that contribute to the problem. And thats why we decided to touch on this subject
