    176: Crazy for Capcom

After a month of Resident Evil games we decided we couldn't get enough and opened it up for some more - along with everything else coinciding with Capcom! Yes it's our first (I think?) episode dedicated to a specific developer, and Capcom is a great start. Despite having a blue logo, they've been red hot this year with Resident Evil Requiem and Pragmata, and we're here to talk about them both. We've also got some other Capcom games to discuss like Super Puzzle Fighter 2, Marvel Vs Capcom, a bunch of Mega Man games, Resident Evil 8 - and more! We've also got some general banter about Capcom's place in the industry and some Capcom trivia - it's a packed episode! So grab your Mega Buster and your headphones and join us - for this look at Capcom games!Got any specific developers you think we should cover next? Send us an email at [email protected].!

    175: Spunky Gators Party

Back on Episode 105 we had a look at party games, and during that episode it was some people's opinion that online games don't count as party games. For a party, you have to all be together and in the same room - so that's just what we did! All 8 founding members of the Beat of the Month crew got together for a full day of gaming, which just so happened to have 8 games. So surely everyone picked a game to play, right? Wrong! Instead this was combined with Brian's deep dive and he chose 8 party games for everyone to play.So what are the games? It's quite the assortment - We've got some Dreamcast games with Power Stone 2 and Chu Chu Rocket. We've got some Switch games with Everybody 1-2 Switch, Nintendo World Championship, and indie gem Hidden In Plain Sight. We've also got an obscure PS1 game called Poy Poy, one of the few Wii U games doomed to never leave the system - Nintendo Land, and then DVD board game turned video game for Xbox 360, Scene It. It was a packed day filled with gaming (and also some wings and donuts to keep our energy levels topped off)! Don't have a group of friends to play party games with? Well come join us for the next 90 minutes and have some fun regardless!

    174: Resident Evil...Two!

With Resident Evil Requiem releasing not too long ago, this month we're focusing on the Resident Evil franchise - again! As old fans may recall we had a Resident Evil podcast waaaay back for episode 7 where we covered the entire series along with our memories & experiences. For this episode, we all played some Resident Evil games and talk about our recent experiences with those games. And what a variety of games we have! Of course we have Requiem to talk about, but we also have RE1, RE4, RE8, and RE Revelations. That's a lot of Resident Evil! But wait, this episode is called Resident Evil Two but we're not talking about Resident Evil 2? Yeah that's the deal - 2nd RE episode for us but no one played that specific game this month. To hear our thoughts on that (and the rest of the games in the franchise) go check out episode 7. Be warned, the audio quality back then was as scary as the games! Anyway, grab your first aid spray, your grenade launcher, and your headphones - and join us for this episode all about Resident Evil - again!

173: Best Game Ever Tournament Bracket

It's March Madness again and that means we've got another one of our annual tournament episodes. But wait, it's already April you say? Yeah well this one took a little longer to cook up - but it's worth it! We've got nearly 3 hours of discussion to decide the best game ever made! The 64 games selected are pitted against each other at random so we've got some spicy match ups right out of the gate. We've got some new games, some old games, some great games, and some crap games. Not sure why all the other guys chose crap games, but hey it's their decision. If you want to play along and follow the bracket - head to Instagram @beatofthemonth where we've got the bracket posted!

  5. 176

    172: Games With Great Music

Here at the Beat of the Month podcast we value the finer things in gaming, and nothing can elevate a game more than a great soundtrack. We've taken a look at game music before with a mini tournament for the best game song of all time, but this time around we take a more laid back approach and just play some games with music that we love. As we talk about the games we bring up a song here and there and talk about why we like it so much. We also talk a bit about what makes a song stand out in a game. Oh yeah - the games! We talk about a bunch of stuff from indie games Gris and Journey, retro stuff Um Jammer Lammy and Parappa the Rapper 2, modern stuff like Lumines Arise and Metal Gear Solid 3 Delta, and then...Eyetoy stuff? That peripheral from the PS2 era? Yeah we fit that in too. So grab your headphones, and your headph...oh yeah I guess you listen to music and podcasts with the same equipment. Well anyway, just sit back with whatever listening device you've got and join us for this looks at games with great music!

  6. 175

    171: Metal Gear Solid

It's been a long time coming, but the Beat of the Month crew is finally doing a deep dive for one of the most acclaimed and beloved franchises in gaming - Metal Gear Solid! We take a look at the humble beginnings on NES and our experience with those games before getting into the main course of the franchise with Metal Gear Solid on PS1 and the rest of the mainline games that followed. We also touch base on some of the side games and re-releases that have came out over the years - and there's a lot of them! We don't dive into the plot too much for each entry but there are spoilers sprinkled through out. Come to think of it I should have used the alert sound effect for those...oh well. You have been warned! We don't spoil much from MGS4 though since that is finally getting released from PS3 prison, but MGS5 has a big spoiler that some people learned for the first time. So without further ado - grab your cardboard box and your cigarettes and join us, for this deep dive into Metal Gear Solid!

  7. 174

    170: Groundhog Day Games

Well the groundhog saw its shadow so we have 6 more weeks of winter. Even though that rodent betrayed us once again, the Beat of the Month crew are here to get you through it - with a topic of Groundhog Day games! What is a groundhog day game you ask? You ever see that movie from the 90s with Bill Murray when he repeats the same day over and over? Well these are games that we like to play over and over again. Or is it just a game where you do the same thing over and over?Whatever it means, we've got quite a variety of games to talk about! Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, World of Tanks, Final Fantasy Tactics, Parappa the Rapper, Fortnite - and many more! As always we've got some trivia with a 'Ground' 'Hog' theme, and we even sneak some movie discussion in there as well. So grab your headphones and your warmest sweater to ride out the rest of winter and join us for this look at Groundhog Day games!

    169: The End of GameStop?

Given the recent closures of many of their stores across the country, we have decided to dedicate an episode all about everyone's favorite and most beloved game store, GameStop. Ok so maybe it's not everyone's favorite, and maybe not quite so beloved, but hey buying physical games in a physical store is becoming a bit of a rarity! We start off the discussion looking back at the origins of GameStop and what companies led to it's formation. Then we reminisce about our favorite (and not so favorite) memories of the workers, the trade-ins, and the store itself. We also play some rounds of trade-in value trivia as well as think about where the store is headed and what they could do to improve their fortunes. Speaking of fortunes, we of course have to touch on the GME stock drama. Whether you love it or hate it, there's plenty to enjoy in this episode. So grab your pro-player membership card, your brand new (but opened) headphones, and join us for this episode all about GameStop!

  9. 172

168: Video Game Fantasy Draft 2026

It's a brand new year and with that comes a brand new year of gaming to look forward to! And to usher in that new year of gaming we are doing another Video Game Fantasy Draft. We explain it all in the episode, but we pick games we think will come out in 2026 and score well with critics. If the game doesn't come out, we get no points. We're hot off some controversy from last year's contest, so the stakes are high!As expected, we've got some heavy hitters that get drafted early - Marvel's Wolverine, Resident Evil Requiem, and Grand Theft Auto 6,but we've also got some picks that you may not have heard of (and some games you may never hear of again in 2026). We'll provide more updates as the year goes on, but for today, just grab your headphones, your crystal ball, and join us for this video game fantasy draft!

  10. 171

167: Beat of the Year 2025

It's our end of year celebration and this time we've got a massive show! First, we kick things off with a trivia segment that has some big stakes. Then we get into our annual awards show with a variety of topics including what was the most shameful thing The Beats Crew has done in 2025. After that, we get into individual picks for our top 5 games of the year, followed by a dive into the stats of all the games we played as shared by Sony (what gives Microsoft and Nintendo - no year in review?) and also stats that we logged ourselves. As if that weren't enough, we also cover the results of our Fantasy Critic video game fantasy draft league and announce the big winner for 2025. Wait, still more?? Lastly we choose the 10 games that define The Beat of the Month podcast for a nice bookend down memory lane. Wow - it's a lot of content! It's been a fun 2025 and we are looking forward to more episodes in 2026. Stay tuned for our 2026 fantasy draft where we'll be taking a look at all the games coming out next year and picking our roster that we think will review well (and hopefully keep on track for release!). If YOU have any ideas for a topic we should tackle for 2026, please send us an email at [email protected]. We'd love to hear from you!

166: Happy Holidays From The Beats

Every year we celebrate spooky season, but we haven't really had an episode dedicated to Christmas - until now! That's right this episode we are taking a look at Holiday Games! We talk about some modern classics like Spider-Man Miles Morales, some old classics like Snatcher, and then...well...I don't think any one is calling 'Games Advent Calendar 2024' a classic, but it is a holiday game! We also take time to play the new hotness Lumines Arise, which does have some holiday-ish levels tucked away. On top of games, we also talk about some holiday traditions that we have such as black Friday shopping or getting Popeye's chicken. And then as usual we've got some trivia at the end with a game of 20 questions. Brian couldn't make it in time for that but he would have gotten it way earlier than those fools. Anyway, grab your wrapping paper and your scotch tape and do some multi-tasking while listening to our latest episode on Holiday Games!

  12. 169

Bonus: The Game Awards 2025 Commentary

The 2025 Game Awards have just wrapped up and The Beats crew watched for the entire 3 and a half hour stretch! We recorded our reactions to the show and are bringing them to you raw and unedited (except for a large chunk of time where we didn't say a whole lot - we'll spare you hearing Muff eat chips and use his printer for an hour). See any games announced that you're excited for? Any games that you think got robbed (no Lumines nomination for best music??) Let us know by sending a note to [email protected]. And stay tuned for our next episode with our Beat of the Year celebration!

  13. 168

    165: UFO 50 Deep Dive

For this episode we have another one of our deep dives, although this time we are taking a look at not 1, not 2, but 25 individual games! UFO 50 is a compilation of 50 individual retro style games that released in 2024 and more recently this year on Switch, and has been on the Beats crew radar for awhile. But wait, there are 50 games and we're only talking about 25? What gives? Yeah, it turns out that playing 50 games takes a long time, and so does talking about 50 games. So we decided to split things in the middle and call it at the halfway point. For a sampling of what to expect from the first half of this collection, you've got a car racing game with a Splatoon paint mechanic, a golf ball RPG, a house party deck builder, a platformer with controls unlike anything we've ever played, and a ton more! It's a fun and varied collection of games with something for everyone. So settle in, grab your retro style controller of choice, and join us for this deep dive of UFO 50!

  14. 167

    164: Real Men Work

Apologies for the delay with this episode, but it was a rough work week. Well while we're on the subject, let's go ahead and talk about some games featuring the Beats Crew's favorite past time - work! We talk about Yakuza Infinite Wealth where you get occupation based job classes, Once Upon a Katamari where your dad gives you work all day long, and more! But it's not all just about fun and games - we talk about our real life work experiences at Walmart, Gamestop, and other places that kept us gainfully (painfully?) employed in our youth. And to wrap things up have a double dose of work based trivia at the end to put your brain to work as well. So get ready to punch in, zone out until break time, and join us for this look at working games!

  15. 166

    163: Spooky Game Trivia Contest

Halloween is almost here and the spooky season is coming to a close. To send things off with a bang we are celebrating by having a trivia game show contest with a spooky theme! All questions will be related to horror games such as Silent Hill, Five Nights at Freddy's, old school horror games - and more! As an added twist, we select categories in the order that we think will bank us more points. Later questions are worth more points, so it's best to tackle the challenging topics first and hope for the best later. Think you've got some skills in horror game trivia? Then grab your chainsaw controller and join us, for this Spooky Game Trivia Contest!

  16. 165

    162: Creepy Games

We are halfway through the spooky season and we have another fitting episode dealing with Creepy games! For long time listeners of the show you may recall way back in 2020 when we did an episode about Scary games. So what's the difference between Scary and Creepy you ask? Well we kick the episode off with that discussion and then get into the specific Creepy games that we played such as Little Nightmares 2, Silent Hill 4, and more! We also talk about some creepy adjacent titles that we wrapped up recently like Expedition 33 and Elden Ring. And then after that as always we've got some trivia lined up that will not only test your game knowledge but also the lyrics of one Creep-y song in particular... So go ahead and get yourself settled into the dark basement or the dusty attic and join us - for this look at Creepy Games!

  17. 164

161: Ghosts 'n Goblins Spooky Series Deep Dive

Spooky season is here, and to celebrate we are kicking off October with a look at one of the oldest horror themed video game franchises (that also just celebrated a 40th anniversary) - Ghosts 'n Goblins! We cover the early games on NES, Genesis, and SNES that everyone knows and loves. Wait, does everyone love them? I thought so, but maybe not... We then cover some of the spin-off games with the Gargoyle's Quest and Maximo series before getting back into the more recent traditional releases on PSP and modern consoles. And if that's not enough Ghosts 'n Goblins content for you, we dive really deep into some obscure offshoots with some True or False trivia. So grab your dagger, and your - oh shoot I accidentally grabbed my torch. No one likes the torch. Well anyway, keep playing until the dagger shows back up and then join us for this deep dive - of Ghosts 'n Goblins!

  18. 163

160: Backlog Cleanup & Fantasy Update

For our 5 year anniversary special we took a look at our backlogs and voted a single game for each person to finally beat and cross off the list. On this episode we see what everyone's true colors are and if they actually stood by their word to play those games. Does Brian finally beat Elden Ring? Does Darkside finally play Metal Gear Solid 4? Does Sonic Frontier have a chance of meeting Melbro's hype game expectations? Tune in to find out all that and more! But before we get into all that, we take some time to look at our fantasy bracket and how our games list of 2025 releases is doing. For some of us, it's not going too well. Who would have know The Hobbit: Tales from the Shire would be a bust? If you want to check out our Fantasy roster, please check us out by going to www.fantasycritic.games and searching for 'The Beats'.

  19. 162

For this episode of Beat of the Month we're back to a traditional deep dive with a look at rhythm action game Hi-Fi Rush! Some of the crew had played this before and had a good time, others had dabbled and dropped it, and the rest had never played at all. We start by taking a look at the history of Tango Gameworks, the surprise release, and then get into the gameplay, story, and of course - the music! As usual we round things off with some 'rush' related trivia at the end. 158: 5 Year Anniversary Backlog Special

The moment has finally arrived - our 5 year episode anniversary celebration is here! Way back between episodes 12 and 13 we snuck in a bonus episode dealing with the origins of 'The Beats'. The purpose of bringing The Beats back was to trim down our backlog of games, and the podcast just happened to come along with it. For our 5 year anniversary we found it fitting to take a look at our backlog and see if that trimming has been successful, as well as why we choose certain backlog games. We then share some games from our backlog and have the other Beats crew members decide our fate by picking a game we will play for the next month. We also have some 5 year anniversary trivia to kick things off and reminisce about all the past episodes. And if that's not enough, it's a rare full crew episode as well!Five years ago a group of 8 friends who like playing video games decided to start up a podcast, and five years later we're still doing it and having fun. We hope you have fun listening as well, and it means a lot to have people take time out of their day to listen.

  27. 154

    157: Boomer Shooters & Hooters

For this episode the Beat of the Month crew postpone our 5 year celebration once again, this time to bring you an episode all about Boomer Shooters! What exactly is a Boomer Shooter do you ask? Well that's a good question. They're usually old, but do they have to be old? They're usually first person, but do they have to be first person? You shoot stuff...okay that point we're pretty sure on. After we get done with the definitive answer on what a Boomer Shooter is, we then get into the different Boomer Shooters we played such as Warhammer 40,000 Boltgun, Doom 64, Anger Foot, and many more! We also reminisce about our time spent at a restaurant beloved by some and indifferent from others. We then wrap things up with a round of trivia that is a boner fied headscratcher. So grab your BFG, shelter yourself from gibs, and join us for this look at Boomer Shooters!

We talk about the origins of gaming achievements (which might surprise you!) as well as discussing what makes a good trophy (or a bad one) and some of our favorites to collect. We also take a look at our overall trophy stats and the rarest trophies we've got. At the end of all of our banter we cap things off with some trophy trivia. Are you someone that strives for 100% achievement completion? Do you live to hear that platinum notification? Then this is the episode for you! Don't really care about all that? Well, I think you'll still have a good time. And after all, if you want to get the achievement for listening to all of the BOTM episodes you don't really have a choice. It's the middle of summer and what better way to celebrate than with a bunch of games that give you those sweet summer vibes? We kick things off with the official system of the summer - the Switch 2! We talk about our experiences so far with the new console and Mario Kart World before getting into some other summer vibe games like Yakuza Infinite Wealth and Reel Fishing: Days of Summer. After that we kick things over to a deep dive with our look at the RBI Baseball series. That's right - 2 episodes for the price of one (although last time I checked the price of admission is zero dollars, so I guess the price doesn't really matter here...). And with this double header of an episode we've got a double dose of trivia - it's a jam packed episode! So grab your mitt, your sunscreen, and your headphones and join us for our look at Summer Vibe games and RBI Baseball!

  30. 151

154: Beat of the Month Archival Clips

Hello! Due to some scheduling conflicts we are going to combine Muff's deep dive of RBI baseball into our next episode for Summer Vibe Games. For this episode, we are going to instead look deep into the Beat of the Month archives and find clips from old shows that have never been heard before. Some may be gaming related and some may be completely random. Some may have our "passable" audio quality you've grown to expect, and some clips may sound like garbage. If this is your first time joining us, I'd recommend not listening to this at all and go to an earlier episode. We kind if meander through random topics as many of these clips were taken prior to the episodes actually starting or after they had ended. But if you're feeling adventurous for a trip into the unknown then feel free to join us as we take a look into some forgotten Beat of the Month clips!

  31. 150

    153: Hype Train Games

There's something for everyone! However, not everyone agrees with Melbro's enthusiasm for these games, so it leads to some lively conversation. So grab your ticket for this speeding locomotive and join us - for Hype Train Games!

  32. 149

152: Say Goodbye to Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch 2 is fast approaching, so we decided to take one last look at the original Nintendo Switch - the greatest video game of all time! OK maybe I'm going a bit overboard with that last statement, but the Switch has been wildly successful and it's life cycle coming to an end is a big event. First, we take a trip back to the launch and share our thoughts on the early lineup of games and our launch day experiences. Then we take a look at the games, the peripherals, the online service/store, and have some trivia along the way. We cap it off with games we still have in our backlog for Switch 1 while talking about our plans to pickup or pass Switch 2.So grab your joy-cons...no not that one - it's got drift. No not that one either. You know what, how about you grab the pro controller instead and join us...as we say goodbye to Nintendo Switch!

  33. 148

    151: Mom Games

For those of you who just didn't get enough celebrating over Mother's Day Weekend, we've got something in store for you - an episode all about Mom Games! 150 episodes after our debut episode dealing with Dad Games, we finally come back around to celebrate with the moms. Yeah we missed the timing a bit for Mother's Day, but better late than never. We start off the episode talking about games we played with our moms or games that our moms like to play. Then we take a break to do a catchup with our video game Fantasy league, followed by a look at all the games with a mom theme we played this month such as Yakuza Infinite Wealth and Detroit: Become Human. We also talk a bit about some games off theme like the excellent Blue Prince. It's a pretty packed episode once again! If you didn't wish your mom a happy mother's day then you better do it right now. And when you're done, come back and join us, for this episode on Mom Games! And if you want to follow along with our video game fantasy league, come visit at fantasycritic.games and search for our league, The Beats. Enjoy the show!

    150: Outer Wilds

For our big 150th episode celebration we have...a regular episode. Our 5 year anniversary is coming up so maybe we'll do something special for that. But for this one - we're taking a deep dive into indie darling Outer Wilds! If you've seen this game mentioned online it usually comes with a word of caution to go in as blind as possible - and we'd agree! For the most part. We start off the conversation with our experience getting into the game, what we wish we had known before we started, and how we would describe it in as spoiler free terms as possible. After that, we shift gears into heavy spoilers talking about most key areas of the game, places where we got stuck, our interpretation of the story, and then blowing the doors off with details about the very end of the journey. If you're remotely interested in playing this game I would certainly recommend hitting pause once we give the spoiler warning and give it a go! And if you're an Outer Wilds veteran, then I hope you enjoy our stories of fumbling around through space while scratching our heads. So with that, grab you space suit and get ready to explore the unknown, with our deep dive on Outer Wilds!

  35. 146

    39: Open World Games

What is an Open World Game? Is it the ability to play any level in any order? Is it a multitude of missions that you can pick and choose as you wish? Is it based on camera and perspective? The Beat of the Month crew handle this philosophical debate as we cover the Open World Games that we played in the month of August. We cover some of the biggest Open World Games around such as The Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2. We've also got some lesser known games like The Pathless and some smaller Open World Games like Bowser's Fury. As usual, with a crew of 8 we've got something for everyone and a lot of different opinions. So please - join us for the games and stay for the Funyuns!

  36. 145

    43: Zombie Games

October is here and the Beat of the Month crew is celebrating by playing some Zombie games! We look at some classic remakes with Resident Evil 1 and 3, zombie mode in Call of Duty, a more story based zombie game with Telltale Game's Walking Dead - and more! We also touch on some newer games like Resident Evil 8 and (while not a zombie game) the brand new Deathloop. As usual the crew has a large variety of games to talk about, so even if scary games aren't your thing we've got you covered. So sit back, protect your brain, and join us!

We also talk a bit about some new games outside the genre such as Little Nightmares 2 and Metroid Dread. Our actions per minute may be limited, but the laughs per minute are as plentiful as ever! 51: Alan Wake Remastered

Stephen King once wrote that nightmares exist outside of logic and there's little fun to be had in explanations. Well, the Beat of the Month crew are going to do their best to explain Alan Wake, the self proclaimed Psychological Action Thriller. Will we unravel this game's secrets and get to the bottom of its cryptic plot? Well there will be spoilers for sure, but we aren't sure that we have all the answers. Not only do we shine a light on the game's plot, but we share our views on the general gameplay and wrap things up with some trivia as usual. So please - join us as we take a trip back to Bright Falls in this remastered journey!

    61: Best DLC Ever

The Beat of the Month crew continue to explore the depths of DLC and unanimously decide upon the greatest DLC of all time. Did your favorite make the cut? And before we get into the deliberations, we discuss what makes DLC good in general. Is DLC better if it's integrated into the main game, or is a stand alone experience better? Should DLC continue where the main game left off in terms of difficulty or ease the player back into the swing of things? We then round things up with some DLC trivia. How many dlc songs have been released for Rock Band? Probably more than you think!

Otherwise, please join us as we share our unique experiences through this light hearted story about joining a literature club with some friends. Wait, rated M for Mature? Maybe this isn't as light hearted as it seems... And we've got some "club" related trivia at the end as well!

    63: Gaming Booms and Busts

Every now and then a game comes along that shapes the rest of the industry for years to come. Games that revolutionize the entire industry or a define a specific platform for the rest of it's lifespan. And sometimes games have those lofty expectations and end up a mere footnote of disappointment. In this episode the Beat of the Month crew explore gaming's all time booms and busts! These are not necessarily the best or worst games of all time (since was Superman 64 really expected to be anything great?) but rather games that stood out for specific crowning achievements or had lofty goals and failed spectacularly. From Super Mario 64 to Sonic 06, we cover dozens of games that made a lasting impression on us for better or worse. We then discuss what game was the most revolutionary of them all which turned out to be a pretty difficult task!

And to top it off we announce the winner of our year subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack - It's a jam packed episode and we hope you enjoy! We also hope you'll join us for 2023 where we've got a God of War: Ragnarok deep dive, an episode dedicated to the Final Fantasy story, and we've already got a fan submitted episode lined up as well! 38: Celebration of Sonic

Sonic - one of the icons of the gaming industry - just celebrated a 30th anniversary, so we decided to pay tribute with an episode dedicated to our memories of playing through 30 years of the iconic blue hedgehog's games. Have they all been great memories? Maybe not, but it's still fun to take a super sonic spin down memory lane. We discuss the Sonic games we played in the last month, our favorite Sonic games from the series, and games we passed on but would like to play. We've also got some trivia, and a section dedicated to the great music that even crappy Sonic games have had over the years. So follow me, set me free, trust me and you will escape from the city!

    64. Console Launches - Best and Worst

Is there anything more monumental than a console launch? Birth of a child? Wedding day? Debatable for sure. The Beat of the Month crew reflect back on their favorite console launches and some that were maybe best left forgotten. We weren’t quite old enough to get the early systems day and date with release, but we’ve got several stories to tell starting with the Dreamcast and wrapping up with the short in supply PS5. We also reminisce on a 36 hour wait to get a PS3. Was it worth it? Probably not - but it makes for a good story! We also deliberate on what we think are the top 3 console launches ever! Did your favorite make the cut?

67: Elden Ring - Spoiler Free

For this episode, the tarnished Beat of the Month crew assemble to discuss our initial impressions of Elden Ring! We've all played 20+ hours into the game, but we are just scratching the surface of what this massive open world adventure has to offer. We'll be back in a future episode where we will dive into more details, but for this episode we kept things spoiler free. We all have little to no experience with previous Souls games, so if you're on the fence about whether or not you want to pick this game up, this is the podcast for you! And if you are a seasoned warrior already and want to be amused by our struggles, you'll also have a good time. Even the trivia at the end is harder than usual! So sit back, relax (well as much as you can relax while dying over and over again), and join us on this journey through the land of Limgrave in the quest to become an Elden Lord!
