Building from lived experience | Fertility, hiddenGrief & sustainable innovation | Lara Solomon
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Lara Solomon, Founder and CEO of Hoopsy, the company behind the world’s first paper-based pregnancy test, for a conversation that became far more personal than the product or business behind it.Lara and I share an experience neither of us would have chosen: going through IVF hoping to become mum's and having to make peace with life unfolding differently. We talked openly about the grief that comes with that, particularly the kind other people cannot always see, and how it can disappear for a while only to surface again when something touches the life you once imagined. As Lara said, “It doesn’t go away, it just becomes easier.”Hoopsy began during Lara’s own IVF journey, when she kept seeing women sharing photos of the many pregnancy tests they were taking while waiting and hoping, and she became unable to ignore the plastic waste being created alongside such an emotional experience. That observation became the world’s first paper-based pregnancy test, and Hoopsy is evolving into something much more community. Lara is building around an experience she knows intimately, bringing greater care, connection and emotional support into a fertility journey that can feel incredibly lonely. We discussed the expectations we absorb around partnership, children and how life is supposed to unfold, and who we become when it doesn’t. Lara reflected on finding herself, and learning to stay connected to who she had become. There was something serendipitous that “hoop” means hope in Dutch. THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from carrying difficult experiences quietly to allowing lived experience to become a source of connection, innovation and care.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The expectation that life must follow the path we were taught to imagine.✨ The belief that grief only counts when other people can see what was lost.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine lived experience as insight rather than something to hide.✨ Build around the emotional reality people are living, not only the product they are buying.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Choose your own path rather than somebody else’s version of fulfilment.✨ Build with care where existing systems have left people unsupported.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What part of your story are you still trying to hide or outrun?✨ What could your lived experience teach you about what the world still needs?Find out more:🔗 https://linkedin.com/in/larasolomon🌐 https://hoopsy.com📷 Instagram.com/hoopsyco🎵 Tiktok.com/@hoopsyco📘 Facebook.com/Hoopsyco💭 What part of your own story might hold the beginning of something meaningful? If you’re ready to reshape your life, leadership or business from the inside out, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic.🔗 https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #hoopsy #fertility #ivfjourney #womenshealth #sustainableinnovation

Beyond founder dependency | Operational freedom, white space & smarter growth| Lloyd Thompson
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Lloyd Thompson, Founder of VirtualDOO, to explore founder dependency, operational freedom and what becomes possible when we create enough space to see what actually matters.Lloyd’s business began somewhere unexpected: in the surf. During COVID, surfing gave him white space away from meetings, email and constant doing, and time to question whether he wanted to return to the same way of working.Today, Lloyd helps founder-led businesses step out of the operational weeds. We explored one of the biggest shifts required to do that: moving from delegating tasks to delegating outcomes, giving people clarity on what success looks like and the freedom to find their own way there. We also got into the visionary founder with no shortage of ideas, but often too many priorities, too much noise and not enough space to see what deserves their energy.I loved Lloyd’s time and energy audit: look at what you are actually doing, the time and value attached to it, and whether it gives you energy or “sucks the life out of you.” It is a simple way to see what should remain with you and what somebody else could own. Because not everything that can be done by you, should be.And underneath the operational systems was something equally important to Lloyd: people. Heart and humour shape the teams he builds, the clients he chooses and even the lucrative work he is prepared to walk away from.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from founder dependency to building a business that can move without the founder carrying everything.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that nobody can do it as well as the founder.✨ The habit of delegating endless tasks instead of clear outcomes.✨ The assumption that being busy means you are working on what matters most.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine delegation through “Who Not How” by finding the right person instead of automatically solving everything yourself.✨ Create white space so you can see beyond the operational noise and reconnect with the bigger vision.✨ Reshape priorities around what moves the business forward rather than every idea competing for attention.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Audit your time, energy and value to see what should be delegated, deleted or retained.✨ Give people ownership of outcomes and enough freedom to choose how they achieve them.✨ Use values as a filter for your team, clients and the work you are willing to accept.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What are you still doing simply because you have always done it?✨ Which parts of your work give you energy, and which quietly drain it?✨ Who could take ownership of something you no longer need to carry?Where to find more:🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/lloydt/🌐 https://virtualdoo.com💭 What could open up if you stopped asking how and started asking who?If you’re ready to reshape your life, leadership or business from the inside out, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic.🔗 https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #VirtualDOO #whonothow #founderdependency #operationalfreedom #fractionalcoo #operations #delegation #founderjourney #insideouttransformation

Building wealth that lasts | Property, long-term thinking & the power of care | Ali Hallak
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Ali Hallak, CEO and Co-Founder of Buyers Club, for a deeply personal conversation about wealth, property, business and what it means to build something that lasts.Ali grew up with his mum and four siblings in housing commission in South West Sydney. They weren’t rich financially, but as Ali shared, they were “rich in love.” One of his earliest motivations was to create enough security to move his mum out, yet she refused to leave until they could own a home rather than rent one. That experience of security and strong foundations has carried through into the way Ali thinks about wealth, business and property. After co-founding Buyers Club at just 21, Ali initially saw business through the lens of growth and profit. A mentor shifted his perspective: instead of focusing on how much he could make today, build something capable of still being here in five or ten years. We spoke about buying long, staying the course when conditions change and building enough resilience that short-term pressure doesn’t dictate long-term decisions. Ali also shared his passionate views on Australia’s housing affordability, infrastructure and widening wealth gap.For all our conversation about money and wealth, Ali ultimately brought leadership back to one four-letter word: care. Care for your people, your customers and the future you are helping to create.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from chasing short-term wealth to building foundations strong enough to support long-term abundance.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that faster growth and higher profit automatically mean a stronger business.✨ The instinct to change strategy when conditions become uncomfortable.✨ The idea that wealth is only measured by what we own rather than the security and opportunity we create.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Build the foundation first so short-term volatility does not force long-term decisions.✨ Reimagine success around consistency, resilience and what can still be standing five or ten years from now.✨ Reshape leadership by investing in people rather than simply extracting more profit.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Buy long and build enough financial resilience to stay the course.✨ Invest in people as they grow beyond the roles they were originally hired to do.✨ Make decisions from care by asking what genuinely serves the customer, team and future of the business.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What foundation are you building underneath the future you want?✨ Where are you reacting to the short term instead of staying committed to the longer vision?✨ What would change if care became a filter for your next decision?Where to find more:🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/ali-hallak-545941150/🌐 https://buyersclub.com.au/💭 What are you building today that you still want standing ten years from now?If you’re ready to reshape your leadership or business from the inside out, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic.🔗 https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #alihallak #buyersclub #richinlove #propertyinvestment #wealthcreation #longtermthinking #care #insideouttransformation

Let go to grow | People, experience, freedom & the X Factor | Malcolm Jull
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Malcolm Jull, CEO of PurchasePlus, to explore what happens when leadership stops being about holding every decision and becomes about creating the trust and space for others to lead.Malcolm describes himself as a control freak, which makes his embrace of radical delegation all the more interesting. After relocating from Australia to the United States while leading an Australian-born business, he simply could not remain across every conversation, decision and time zone. What if letting go was not stepping away from leadership, but growing into another form of it?As Malcolm shared, “Leading by example doesn’t mean I need to do everything.” Radical delegation means knowing what is happening, resisting the urge to dive into everything he could influence and trusting people to find their own way to the right outcome. That philosophy runs deeply through how he thinks about people. Great leadership is not about creating copies of ourselves. It is about helping people discover their own X factor, giving them room to grow and allowing their personality and perspective to shape the work.We explored why discomfort can be where the gold is, trusting people to do things differently, leading across time zones, navigating the noise and why human connection matters even more in remote teams.Underneath the bright shirts, pink shoes and infectious energy is something Malcolm seems to practise as much as he talks about: be yourself, create space for others to be themselves and let go enough to see what they can become.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from control as leadership to trust as leadership.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that leading by example means being involved in everything.✨ The instinct to make people work, communicate or lead exactly as you would.✨ The pressure to consume every piece of information simply because technology now makes it available.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create frameworks that give people clarity without controlling every step they take.✨ Reimagine delegation as an opportunity for both the leader and the team to grow into new capability.✨ Reshape leadership around outcomes, trust and the freedom for people to bring their own X factor.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Stay close enough to understand what matters while consciously choosing where not to intervene.✨ Use technology to remove noise and improve visibility without outsourcing human judgment.✨ Give people opportunities to practise the things they are not yet confident doing.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you still holding something your team is ready to own?✨ What could open up for you if you stopped needing to be inside every decision?✨ Are you helping people become more like you, or more fully themselves?Where to find more:🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/malcolmjull/🌐 https://www.purchaseplus.com💭 What are you ready to let go of so somebody else can grow into it?If you’re ready to reshape from the inside out, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic.🔗 https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #radicaldelegation #trust #xfactor #humanleadership #insideouttransformation

The business of solopreneurship | Money, freedom & building on your own terms | Oliver Garside
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Oliver Garside, Co-Founder and Director of Rounded, to explore what it really means to build a business on your own terms, and why money is only one part of the equation. When Oliver joined Rounded more than a decade ago, he thought it might be a six-month project. He went unpaid for the first couple of years and, even five years in, was earning little more than minimum wage.Oliver noticed that something else happened along the way, “When you’re not getting paid for something, you really understand what you love doing.”For Oliver, building Rounded created the flexibility to be present while his children were growing up, taught him more than the rest of his career combined and helped him rediscover what he was genuinely good at.That experience also shaped an interesting observation about the thousands of freelancers and sole traders Rounded has supported. The most successful don’t tend to see themselves as “just” a photographer, freelancer or sole trader. They see themselves as business owners. We explored the changing economics of solopreneurship, side hustles and multiple income streams, the responsibility that sits on the other side of freedom, and why building on your own terms starts with being honest about what you actually want from your business.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from seeing solopreneurship as something smaller than “real” business to owning the business, freedom and responsibility that come with choosing your own path.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that being a freelancer or sole trader makes you less of a business owner.✨ The assumption that financial reward is the only meaningful measure of entrepreneurial success.✨ The pressure to grow, expand or adopt every new technology simply because everyone else is.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create your own definition of success based on what you genuinely want from the business.✨ Reimagine freedom as both flexibility and responsibility, rather than an escape from work.✨ Reshape your relationship with money by understanding what you’re willing to trade for time, ownership, learning and autonomy.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Treat your freelance or sole trader work with the same intention you would any other business.✨ Stay focused on the customer and problem you’re uniquely positioned to serve.✨ Use technology thoughtfully rather than outsourcing decisions you still need to understand yourself.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What do you actually want your business to give you?✨ Are you measuring success by your own values or somebody else’s?✨ Where could saying no create more space for the business you really want to build?Where to find more:🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/olivergarside/🌐 https://rounded.com.auIf you’re ready to reshape your leadership or business from the inside out, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic.🔗 https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #rounded #solopreneurship #freelancer #entrepreneurship #founderjourney #smallbusiness #businessgrowth #insideouttransformation

Breaking automaticity | Awakening culture, creativity & business | Catherine Bell
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Catherine Bell, Founder and CEO of The Awakened Company, to explore what it means to awaken our humanity inside life, leadership and business.I asked Catherine if she would mind holding for five minutes while I made a coffee. Her response was an invitation for both of us to take a deep breath. It captured the importance of interrupting constant doing and allowing ourselves to arrive.Catherine believes we have forgotten that we are already worthy simply because we are alive. So much of our identity becomes covered in what she described as societal stickers, messages about what we must achieve, become or produce before we can consider ourselves enough. Beneath those layers is our beingness, creativity and capacity to lead from what is true to us.I loved Catherine talking about automaticity, the default operating patterns shaping how we think, behave, lead and build organisations without us realising it. Catherine described this as a form of sleepwalking. We repeat inherited ways of working, remain trapped in human doingness and continue operating inside systems that may no longer serve people or business. As Catherine shared, “We are all awakened, we’ve just forgotten.”We spoke about organisations as living organisms, the relationship between culture and commercial performance, and why self-awareness helps leaders disrupt automatic patterns. Catherine challenged the belief that boredom, procrastination or stillness are problems to eliminate. Creativity and innovation do not always emerge from more activity. Sometimes they appear when we create enough space for something new to arise.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from unconscious doing to conscious being.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that our worth comes from what we achieve or produce.✨ The automatic patterns and societal conditioning shaping how we live, lead and work.✨ The idea that humanity and commercial performance belong in separate conversations.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Interrupt human doingness by pausing, sensing the body and becoming present.✨ Reimagine organisations as living organisms where people, purpose, creativity and profit work together.✨ Reshape leadership by recognising that everyone has the capacity to lead and create.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Notice your default patterns and choose a conscious response.✨ Create space for boredom, reflection, nature and discomfort to reveal new possibilities.✨ Build cultures that prioritise self-awareness, trust and human flourishing alongside financial performance.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you sleepwalking through life, leadership or business?✨ What could emerge if you stopped doing long enough to fully arrive?✨ What part of you is ready to show up beneath the conditioning?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/catherinebell/🌐 https://www.awakenedcompany.com/💭 What automatic pattern are you ready to interrupt?Ready to reshape your life, leadership or business? Leading people, not just change | Pause & meaningful transformation | Leslie Ellis
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Leslie Ellis, Founder of Meaningful Change Consulting, to explore why meaningful transformation has far less to do with project plans and far more to do with people. After becoming what she describes as an accidental entrepreneur, Leslie spent years helping organisations navigate complex change. Along the way, she realised that successful transformation doesn’t begin with implementation, it begins with meaning. When people understand why change matters, they’re far more likely to embrace it, align behind it and help bring it to life.Drawing on organisational development and psychology, Leslie shared why change should no longer be viewed as a one-off event but as a core leadership capability. We explored why alignment starts within before it becomes culture, why leaders don’t need everyone to agree to move forward together, and why project plans manage tasks while people create transformation. We also discussed why transformation often stalls long before strategy does. Fear of failure, the need for certainty and the belief that everyone must agree can quietly keep leaders stuck. Leslie reminded us that meaningful change begins with clarity, shared direction and the courage to pause before taking the next step.Leslie and I also explored the power of creating space before reacting, whether through a walk, a quiet moment or even a pedicure. Some of our clearest thinking doesn’t happen at our desks but when we step away long enough to reconnect with ourselves and ask, what do I really want? As Leslie shared, “Change is no longer an afterthought. It’s how we have to operate to be successful.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from managing change as a project to leading change as a human capability. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that project plans alone create successful transformation.✨ The assumption that everyone must agree before moving forward together.✨ The tendency to react before creating space for clarity.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create meaning before asking people to embrace change.✨ Reimagine alignment as shared direction, not shared opinion.✨ Reshape leadership by treating change as an ongoing capability rather than a temporary event.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Pause before reacting so decisions come from clarity rather than urgency.✨ Build alignment from the inside out, beginning with leadership mindset.✨ Lead people through transformation with intention, empathy and trust.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where am I managing plans instead of leading people?✨ What change am I resisting that has already begun?✨ What would become clearer if I paused before making my next decision?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/leslieaellis/🌐 https://www.meaningfulchangeconsulting.com/If you’re ready to reshape your life, leadership or business from the inside out, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic.🔗 https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #organisationaldevelopment #meaningfulchange #insideouttransformation #alignment #clarity #lifeleadershipbusiness #pause

Beyond the ego | Self-actualisation, relational intelligence & leadership evolution | Logan Yonavjak
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Logan Yonavjak, Co-Founder and CEO of Readiness Engine™, to explore what happens when leadership becomes less about performance and more about who we are becoming. After nearly two decades allocating capital across institutions, including the Yale Investments Office, Logan realised the greatest investment risk wasn’t always the business itself. It was whether the people behind it could navigate uncertainty, hold complexity and grow into what the opportunity demanded. That insight led Logan and her Co-Founder to build Readiness Engine™, combining developmental psychology with AI to look beyond résumés and reputation, helping organisations better understand how leaders think, relate, make decisions and develop. Many organisations still approach leadership in a traditional way. We often optimise for productivity and performance while overlooking the inner development that helps people grow. Through the lens of self-actualisation, transpersonal psychology and relational intelligence, we explored what it means to move beyond the ego, embrace multiple perspectives and truly listen within.Logan and I also discussed the highs, lows and everything in between that comes with becoming a founder. Despite helping move hundreds of millions of dollars and personally raising around $100 million, she found herself questioning whether she was “just a terrible salesperson.” It was in those moments that the deeper question emerged: who are we becoming? As Logan shared, “Most people don’t give themselves the time to listen.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from measuring leadership by what people have already achieved to recognising who they are becoming. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that credentials, experience and past performance alone predict future leadership.✨ The idea that leadership development is something we complete rather than continually live.✨ The pressure to fit within existing models of success instead of evolving beyond them.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create space to listen within before reacting to complexity.✨ Reimagine leadership as an ongoing practice of becoming rather than achieving.✨ Reshape the way you lead by developing your inner capacity alongside your technical expertise.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Listen beyond the ego by holding multiple perspectives before making decisions.✨ Build resilience by growing your capacity to navigate uncertainty and complexity.✨ Strengthen relational intelligence as intentionally as you develop business capability.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What part of your identity is ready to evolve?✨ Where might your ego be limiting your ability to see another perspective?✨ What is your inner wisdom asking you to listen to today?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/loganyonavjak/🌐 https://readinessengine.io/If you’re ready to reshape your life, leadership or business from the inside out, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic.🔗 https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#BeeFormless #FlowDrivenCEO #SelfActualisation #redengine #RelationalIntelligence #DevelopmentalPsychology #Entrepreneurship

Building a business that doesn’t run your life | Meaningful innovation & profit | Paul Coldrey
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Paul Coldrey, Co Founder and Director of Data Effects and Lumient, to talk about building technology that solves meaningful problems while creating a business that supports your life versus consuming it.After building and scaling multiple technology businesses, Paul realised that making a business bigger doesn’t always make it more profitable, fulfilling or sustainable. Too often, the freedom founders set out to create slips away.Paul has built a niche business where his team can choose projects with intention, remain commercially strong and focus on work that genuinely matters. That philosophy now underpins solutions across biosecurity, agriculture and environmental management, where technology is created with purpose and every solution begins with a meaningful problem.I loved Paul’s analogy of the dance floor and the balcony. On the dance floor we’re consumed by emails, deadlines and constant decisions. From the balcony, we gain perspective, asking whether the business, and the way we’re leading it, is still aligned with the life we’re trying to create.Paul shared a reminder we all need to hear: “There’ll always be something to get stressed about if you want to get stressed about it. You’ve got to choose what’s worth it.” THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was the shift from being consumed by the daily demands of a business to creating enough space to see the business, and the life around it, more clearly. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that a larger business will automatically create more profitability, freedom or fulfilment.✨ The pressure to remain permanently available and treat every request as urgent.✨ The habit of creating technology first and then searching for a problem or story to justify it.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine growth as building a focused, valuable business rather than pursuing scale at any cost.✨ Create a meaningful problem and work backwards towards the technology or solution it genuinely requires.✨ Reshape the founder’s role by building a team that can keep moving without everything depending on one person.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Move regularly between the dance floor and the balcony so operational activity does not replace strategic thought.✨ Assess opportunities by how they fit the direction, values and existing strengths of the business.✨ Protect time outside work by deciding what genuinely requires attention and what can wait.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Are you building a business that supports your life or one that is slowly taking it over?✨ Where are you too close to the day-to-day to see the wider pattern?✨ What feels urgent right now that may look very different after you step back?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/paulcoldrey/🌐 https://www.dataeffects.com.au/💭 Where in your life or business do you need to step onto the balcony? If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #dataeffects #meaning #profitability #innovation #insideouttransformation

Authentic leadership | Research, commercialisation & real-world impact | April Van Der Kamp
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I reconnected with April Van Der Kamp, PhD doctoral researcher and MedTech Co-Founder, nearly a year after our original interview was lost. In many ways, the timing couldn’t have been better. When April and I first met, she was trying to fit inside what she called the “box of professionalism.” Like many researchers, she believed credibility meant leaving little room for the person behind the science. Over the past year, I’ve watched her discover that authenticity doesn’t diminish credibility, it strengthens it. Along the way, we explored networking beyond traditional résumés, the role of AI in recruitment, the value of feedback, and why embracing our own weirdness is often where authentic leadership begins.April’s research began from something deeply personal. After both she and her PhD supervisor lost family members to diabetic foot ulcer infections, they set out to develop a bacteriophage hydrogel that could offer clinicians and patients a new way to treat infection. Along the way, April uncovered a much bigger challenge: brilliant science alone doesn’t change lives. It must also navigate commercialisation, regulation, intellectual property and industry before it can ever reach the people it was designed to help.Together, we discussed the gap between research and real-world impact, why universities and industry need stronger connections, how commercial thinking can amplify scientific discovery, and why the future belongs to researchers who can move confidently between the laboratory, leadership and entrepreneurship. As April says: “Never be afraid to be authentically you.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from hiding inside professionalism to allowing our ideas, identity and ambition to create meaningful impact.Through the Bee Formless™ methodology, this shift came to life.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ Brilliant research doesn’t automatically reach the people who need it.✨ Professionalism shouldn’t require hiding who we are.✨ Feedback is one of our greatest tools for growth.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Build stronger connections between researchers, clinicians, universities and industry.✨ See commercialisation as an extension of impact, not a compromise of science.✨ Allow intelligence and authenticity to exist together.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Share your work before it feels perfectly polished.✨ Build relationships that create opportunities beyond any application system.✨ Develop the commercial, leadership and communication skills that move ideas into the real world.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where am I trying to fit into a system instead of bringing more of myself to it?✨ What idea is ready to move beyond research and into real-world impact?✨ How could one conversation change the trajectory of my work?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/aprilvanderkamp🌐 http://www.aprilvanderkamp.com💭 What part of yourself, or your work, is ready to be seen?If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, book a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #authenticleadership #medtech #commercialisation #research #entrepreneurship

The third space between science & soul | Finding serenity through adversity | Bron Watson
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Bron Watson, Founder of The Social Coach and The Serenity Project, for a discussion that gently challenges the way we think about adversity, healing and what it means to truly live. After building a successful business that no longer reflected who she was, Bron found herself riding what she describes as a “sabre-toothed tiger”, a business she had carefully built but one that was ultimately leading her further away from herself. Then came two cancer diagnoses, breast cancer and then multiple myeloma, which is incurable.Along the way, Bron discovered a different way of living. One that wasn’t centred on chasing certainty, but on creating space for what mattered most, trusting her own capacity and learning to be where her feet are. She also shared why it’s often the smallest moments, what she calls “serenity moments”, can become the memories we carry with us. Bron talked about the third space between science and soul, where evidence, intuition and our shared humanity can exist alongside one another. As Bron shared her experience of living with multiple myeloma, I couldn’t help thinking of my dad, who is also living with the disease. Whilst none of us can control what tomorrow brings, we can choose how we meet today.Bron doesn’t offer certainty, she offers something far more grounding: the reminder to prepare without projecting, to let capacity become our compass and to be where our feet are.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from trying to control uncertainty to finding peace in the present. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that certainty is something we can create if we work hard enough.✨ The habit of pushing beyond our own capacity while ignoring what our intuition is quietly telling us.✨ The tendency to project fear into a future that hasn’t happened yet.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine healing as something that honours both science and soul.✨ Create space for presence by preparing for life’s uncertainties without projecting them.✨ Reshape adversity from something to fight into something that can gently recalibrate what matters most.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Let A equal A by responding to what is actually happening instead of the stories we create around it.✨ Be where your feet are and focus on the next play rather than trying to control the entire game.✨ Allow your capacity to become your compass as you navigate life, leadership and business.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where in your life are you projecting a future that hasn’t happened?✨ What would change if your capacity became your compass?✨ How might your life shift if you simply returned to where your feet are today?🔗 http://www.linkedin.com/in/bronwatson🌐 https://theserenityproject.com.au💭 Where in your life could you stop projecting tomorrow and be where your feet are today? If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #theserenityproject #healing #serenity #multiplemyeloma #insideouttransformation

Why Australia needs opt-out organ donation | The legacy of Zaidee’s rainbow | Allan Turner
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I sat down with Allan Turner, Managing Director of Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation, for one of the most moving conversations I've had on the show. When Zaidee was just six years old, she turned to her mum and said, "If anything happened to me, I'd like to be a donor to another kid." Seven months later, following a sudden cerebral aneurysm, Allan and his wife Kim honoured her wish. Through organ and tissue donation, seven lives were saved and forever changed.Out of unimaginable grief came Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation, a mission dedicated to helping families have the conversations most of us never think we'll need, while advocating for an opt-out organ donation system that Allan believes could give many more Australians the chance to receive the gift of life. This conversation was deeply personal for me. Having received a donor cornea transplant myself, I know my own life has been touched by the generosity of a family I'll never meet. Sitting with Allan was a powerful reminder that every donation begins with a decision made and that same decision can become hope for another family. If countries around the world have shown that opt-out organ donation can save more lives, why is Australia still waiting? Allan doesn't ask us to choose a side. He simply asks us to have the conversation, understand our choices and make sure the people we love know our wishes.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from seeing organ donation as a difficult conversation about loss to recognising it as one of the greatest gifts we can leave behind. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that conversations about organ donation can wait until another day.✨ The assumption that our loved ones already know our wishes.✨ The fear that talking about organ donation is only about loss rather than the gift of life.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine organ donation as one of the greatest gifts we can leave for others.✨ Create space for conversations that bring clarity, certainty and compassion during life’s most difficult moments.✨ Reshape how we think about organ donation by exploring how an opt-out system could help save more lives.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Have the conversation with those closest to you before they ever need to make the decision.✨ Learn how one informed choice has the potential to transform many lives.✨ Recognise that one gift can create hope, healing and second chances for families you’ve never met.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ If your family had to make the decision today, would they know your wishes?✨ What kind of legacy do you hope to leave behind?✨ Could one conversation today become the greatest gift you ever give?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/allan-turner-zaidees-rainbow🌐 https://www.zaideesrainbowfoundation.org.au💭 What conversation could you have today that might become the greatest gift you ever leave? If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #zaideesrainbow #organdonation #optout #legacy #humanity

The power of one task | Energy, focus & better business | Susan Agudo
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Susan Agudo, Co-Founder of Demir Digital, to explore what happens when we stop living in constant reaction and begin protecting the energy that allows us to do our best work. After more than 15 years leading marketing operations for global brands, Susan spent years chasing the next promotion, believing success would come with the next title. Everything changed when she joined Nike. Instead of competition and hierarchy, she experienced a culture where people genuinely valued one another, collaborated openly and created the conditions for people to shine. That experience reshaped how Susan now leads. Together with her business partner, she built Demir Digital around healthy boundaries, genuine partnerships and the belief that protecting our energy isn't separate from performance, it's what allows us to keep showing up at our best. One of the biggest tests came when Susan shared how they chose to say no to an unreasonable client request, even though it meant risking one of their largest projects. The project stayed and more importantly, so did their values. We also explored why AI should remain a tool rather than a replacement for human judgement, how constant task switching quietly fragments our thinking, why saying no can strengthen relationships, and how focusing on one task at a time creates greater clarity, presence and impact.Susan's definition of success brought these ideas together:"When you set those boundaries, it helps you not lose the passion for the work that you're doing."THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from chasing external validation to protecting the energy, boundaries and values that allow both people and performance to shine. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that success is measured by titles, promotions and external recognition.✨ The habit of saying yes, even when it comes at the expense of your energy.✨ The idea that productivity comes from constant busyness and multitasking.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create businesses where healthy boundaries strengthen trust, culture and long-term partnerships.✨ Reimagine leadership as protecting the people and energy that sustain performance.✨ Reshape technology into a tool that enhances human judgement rather than replacing it.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Protect your energy so your passion for the work can continue to grow.✨ Focus deeply on one priority before moving to the next.✨ Build success around the life you want to live, not the status you hope to achieve.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where am I measuring success through external validation?✨ Which boundary would create more energy in my work or life?✨ What would change if I gave one priority my full attention today?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/susanagudo🌐 https://www.demirdigital.agency/💭 What would protecting your energy make possible in your life, leadership or business? If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #demirdigital #values #energy #boundaries #culture #no

Follow the fascination, connect the dots within | Endogenous living | Elsa Valentine
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Elsa Valentine, Founder of INNATE, to explore the movement from living exogenously, shaped by external pressure and expectation, to living endogenously, guided by our nervous system and inner wisdom.Growing up with a mother who experienced bipolar disorder, Elsa became deeply curious about what disconnects us from ourselves. Horses became her earliest teachers, mirroring what was happening within long before she had the language to understand it. Art, entrepreneurship, personal loss and neuroscience became pillars of fascination that ultimately led her to create INNATE, helping people build a more compassionate relationship with themselves through reflective video journaling.Rather than waiting for life to make sense in hindsight, Elsa shared the importance of connecting the dots forward. By following the fascinations, experiences and curiosities that continue calling us, we begin to create the path as we walk it. We talked about why burnout can happen even when we’re doing everything “right”, why horses mirror what’s happening within us, how reflective video journaling creates perspective beyond traditional journaling, and why leadership begins with the relationship we have with ourselves.I loved Elsa’s distinction between living exogenously and endogenously. Rather than allowing the outside world to determine our inner world, she invites us to return to ourselves before making our next decision. As Elsa shared, “The more connected we are to ourselves, the more connected we are to others.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from living exogenously, shaped by external pressure and expectation, to living endogenously, guided by awareness and our nervous system. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief the answers lie outside ourselves.✨ Allowing external pressure and expectation to shape how we think, feel and lead.✨ Assuming doing the “right” things means we’re connected to ourselves.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create moments of reflection before reacting.✨ Reimagine sensitivity as awareness.✨ Use technology to deepen self-awareness, not replace it.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Follow your pillars of fascination.✨ Learn your nervous system before stress becomes burnout.✨ Return to yourself before your next decision.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Am I living from within or reacting?✨ Which pillar of fascination is calling me?✨ What would change if my next decision came from awareness rather than pressure?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/elsa-valentine-69499a108/🌐 https://www.innate.love/📷 https://www.instagram.com/be.innate💭 What would change if you stopped allowing the outside world to shape your inner world?Ready for your next Shape Shift? Set your own pace | Boundaries, connection & relational business | Germaine Muller
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Germaine Muller, Founder and Managing Director of Futuretheory, to explore why the businesses that endure aren’t built by reacting to urgency, they’re built by leaders who learn to set their own pace.Germaine started his first business at just thirteen years of age, growing what began as a creative side hustle into a digital agency over the past eighteen years. Through every stage of that journey, he has learnt that sustainable success isn’t about moving faster than everyone else. It’s about building the processes, relationships and boundaries that allow a business to keep evolving. We talked about why urgency so often disguises itself as importance, how genuine connection becomes even more valuable in an AI-driven world, and why documenting knowledge creates businesses that are no longer dependent on the founder.I loved when Germaine shared a simple philosophy that now guides both his leadership and his life: “Set the pace independent of the moment.” A timely reminder we don’t have to let every notification, client request or new technology determine where our attention belongs. As Germaine also shared, “If you don’t know how to do it, you shouldn’t ask AI to do it.” AI may help us move faster, it can never replace the judgement, experience and discernment that ultimately make a business worth building.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from allowing urgency to set the pace to building a business through boundaries, intention and genuine human connection. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that every request becomes urgent simply because someone else wants it completed.✨ The expectation that being a committed founder requires being permanently available.✨ The pressure to adopt every new technology before understanding whether it belongs in your business.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create boundaries that protect your attention while strengthening trust and client relationships.✨ Reimagine technology as a capability that operates within your values, knowledge and direction.✨ Reshape success around a pace that supports both the business and the people building it.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Set the pace independently of the pressure surrounding you.✨ Build and document the processes that allow knowledge to move beyond the founder’s head.✨ Keep human judgement, connection and differentiation at the centre of how you evolve.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where has another person’s urgency quietly become my own?✨ Which boundaries would help me become more present, effective and sustainable?✨ What must remain distinctly human as I bring more technology into my business?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/germainemuller/🌐 https://futuretheory.co/💭 What would change if you stopped allowing the urgency of the moment to determine your pace?If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #futuretheory #businessboundaries #humanconnection #innovation #entrepreneurship #insideouttransformation #longevity #nonlinear

The right problems in the wrong order | Identity, purpose & direction | Tim Dwyer
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Tim Dwyer, Brand & Growth Strategist, Business Builder and Author of The Tolemy Map, to explore why so many businesses aren't struggling because they lack idea, they're solving the right problems in the wrong order.Tim has experienced multiple waves of technological disruption. While each cycle has changed the way we work, his experience has shown that the greatest challenge has never been the technology itself. It has been whether we remain connected to the deeper purpose of the business we're here to build. We talked about what happens when businesses become defined by their products rather than the problem they exist to solve, why culture must evolve alongside strategy, and how fear of missing out can quietly pull leaders away from their own direction.I loved when Tim shared a story about using AI with his daughter to develop an entire business concept. Together they created the strategy, products and pathways to market, yet when it was finished, Tim didn't ask whether it would succeed. He simply asked, "Is this yours to own?" Her answer was no. It was a great business idea, yet it wasn't her purpose, her passion and it wasn't the business she felt called to build. As Tim reminded us, "It's not AI-led. It's AI-supported." The future won't belong to those who chase every new tool or trend. It will belong to those who become clear about what they're here to create, build from love and abundance.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from chasing growth through constant activity to building a business with clarity, sequence and purpose. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that more activity automatically creates better results.✨ Defining your business by today’s products instead of the deeper problem you solve.✨ The fear that you must keep up with every new technology or trend.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create a brand that is anchored in purpose before building tactics.✨ Reimagine AI as a tool that supports your direction rather than determines it.✨ Reshape growth around the business and life you genuinely want to build.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Solve the right problems in the right order.✨ Trust your own inner GPS before following external noise.✨ Build your business from love, abundance and service rather than fear and scarcity.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Are you reacting to urgency or building with intention?✨ Which problem truly deserves your attention right now?✨ Is the business you’re creating genuinely yours to own?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/timdwyer11https://tolemy.com/https://tolemy.com/navigation-quiz💭 What would change if you trusted your own inner GPS more than the noise around you?If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #tolemy #brandstrategy #growth #identity #purpose #insideouttransformation #regenerative #entrepreneurship #nonlinear

Success starts from within | Culture, awareness & transformation | Ruchi Motial-Suri
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Ruchi Motial-Suri, Founder of Success Culture, to explore what becomes possible when leaders stop performing who they believe they should be and begin leading from a deeper awareness of who they already are.Ruchi described as one of the greatest gifts we have as human beings. Without it, we can spend years operating beneath layers of expectations, inherited beliefs and definitions of what a leader, a business or a successful life is supposed to look like. When Ruchi and I first connected, she offered me two simple words:“Set yourself free.” Free yourself from the expectations, layers and beliefs that stop you leading as yourself.Ruchi reframed culture as the environment people experience every day, where individuality strengthens the collective rather than competes with it. She also challenged the traditional hierarchy of leadership, believing experience and emerging perspectives must learn from one another. We also explored spirituality in leadership as the awareness that reconnects us with our authentic selves. When leaders stop spending energy trying to be someone they’re not, they create greater ease, trust and possibility within the cultures they lead.Ruchi’s definition of success brought these ideas together: “Success at the expense of something else, that’s where the problem is.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from performing leadership to creating the awareness and freedom for people to lead as themselves. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that credible leaders must always have the answers.✨ The definitions of right, wrong and success inherited from people whose path may not be our own.✨ The idea that culture can be created through values statements without changing the environment people experience.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create cultures where individuality contributes to collective strength rather than being suppressed by conformity.✨ Reimagine leadership as guiding people towards the answer, not controlling every step required to reach it.✨ Reshape success around growth that does not come at the expense of yourself, your people or your purpose.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Use awareness to notice what creates ease, friction and meaningful movement in your leadership.✨ Collect evidence of what genuinely works for you instead of photocopying someone else’s model.✨ Build reciprocal relationships where established and emerging leaders learn from one another.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Which expectations are preventing you from leading as yourself?✨ Where is friction revealing that something no longer fits?✨ What could open up if you gave yourself permission to be free?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/ruchi-motial-suri🌐 https://www.successculture.com💭 What would change if you led from awareness instead of expectation? If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #successculture #authenticleadership #selfawareness #insideouttransformation #soul

When technology stops being the moat | Why taste, trust & community win | Chris Zhong
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO & VC Podcast, I connected with Chris Zhong, Founder & CEO of TavoAI and Co-Founder of SunDAO Ventures, to explore what creates lasting value as AI lowers the barriers to building almost anything.Chris has spent her career at the frontier of emerging technologies, blockchain, AI and venture capital. After years helping organisations adopt new technologies, he believes the real advantage is no longer the technology itself. As AI makes building faster, cheaper and more accessible than ever, the businesses that endure will be built on something far harder to replicate: human judgement, lived experience, trusted relationships and the taste to know what is truly worth creating. We explored why founders can no longer rely on technology as their competitive advantage alone. Products can be recreated, features copied and ideas accelerated. The deeper moat now lies in the perspectives, communities and decisions only people can bring.Chris believes our greatest competitive advantage may be the ability to recover our own centre. “Come back to the core of who you are.” Without that, it’s easy to spend every day busy, yet end it feeling empty.Through SunDAO Ventures, she is helping move investing beyond closed-door networks towards collective intelligence, where founders, operators and investors create value together rather than simply exchanging capital.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from chasing better technology to cultivating better judgement.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that technology alone creates a lasting competitive advantage.✨ The pressure to build faster simply because AI makes it possible.✨ The assumption that innovation happens best behind closed doors.UNLEARN (CREATE • REIMAGINE • RESHAPE)✨ Create businesses that solve meaningful problems rather than simply showcasing technology.✨ Reimagine AI as an amplifier of human capability, not a replacement for human judgement.✨ Reshape innovation around collaboration, shared intelligence and trusted relationships.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Build a moat through taste, lived experience and perspective that cannot easily be copied.✨ Invest in communities that continue creating value long after the transaction.✨ Return to the core of who you are while technology continues to evolve around you.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Create space to slow down through reflection or meditation.✨ Build a support network that lifts you when the pace accelerates.✨ Remember that giving to others often restores as much energy as it requires.🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/chriszh/🐦 https://x.com/cosmicyen🌐 https://gettavo.com/🌐 https://sundao.ventures/💭 What is the moat that AI cannot replicate? If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenvc #flowdrivenceo #venturecapital #ai #founders #innovation #community #taste #insideouttransformation

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Dane Hudson, Founder of Impactful Leadership, five-time CEO and author of Discipline Beats Vision, to explore what happens when leadership becomes your greatest legacy. After more than three decades leading organisations through growth, transformation and complexity, Dane realised his greatest achievement wasn’t the organisations he had led. It was the leaders he had helped create.Dane believes discipline beats vision. Vision inspires people to begin, discipline is what carries leaders through uncertainty, rapid growth and the moments when everything feels like it’s falling apart.Dane shared one of those moments, leading a listed company through a 97 per cent share price collapse during one of the toughest periods in the industry’s history. It wasn’t vision that kept him showing up every day. It was responsibility, grit and the understanding that leadership means becoming the person others look to when hope is hardest to find.We talked about why every leader casts a shadow far greater than they realise, why resilience is the scar tissue built through adversity, and why in an AI-driven world, the leaders who continue learning will create the greatest impact.I loved Dane's business tip: “If you’re 10 per cent up, run the business like you’re 20 per cent down.” Not from fear, from the discipline to stay prepared, keep learning and continue creating impact long after you’ve moved on.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from leading through authority to creating lasting impact through people. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that an inspiring vision is enough to create sustainable growth.✨ The assumption that leadership begins and ends with the person at the top.✨ The idea that adversity is evidence that you are no longer capable of leading.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create the disciplined actions, habits and accountability that turn vision into progress.✨ Reimagine leadership as a privilege and an obligation to develop others.✨ Reshape adversity into scar tissue, self-awareness and greater confidence for what comes next.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Remain a relentless student as the organisation, technology and expectations around you evolve.✨ Build purpose and pride into the team so people understand why their work matters.✨ Run the business with the discipline to prepare for change, even while results are strong.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What does your leadership shadow communicate when you are under pressure?✨ Are you developing people who can lead without depending on you?✨ Where has adversity already given you evidence that you can handle what comes next?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/dane-hudson-61234720/🌐 https://impactfulleadership.com📘 Discipline Beats Vision 💭 What will remain because of the way you chose to lead?If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #impactfulleadership #disciplinebeatsvision #founder #antifragile #insideout

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Marie-Noelle Keijzer, CEO and Co-Founder of WeForest, to explore purpose, regeneration and what it truly means to become stewards of the future by reshaping the way we lead, live and relate to the natural world from the inside out. After nearly two decades leading businesses, Marie-Noelle reached a point where success alone no longer felt enough. Looking at the world her son would inherit, she realised the greatest legacy she could leave wouldn’t be another corporate achievement. It would be helping restore the natural systems every generation depends upon. That decision led to the creation of WeForest, an organisation that has now restored more than 100,000 hectares of degraded land, helped grow almost 118 million trees and supported more than half a million people across Africa. We explored how forests regulate water cycles, stabilise climate, protect biodiversity and create the conditions for communities to thrive; restoring landscapes also restores livelihoods, dignity and hope.I loved having the chance to ask, what I had wondered about for years.. do trees communicate with one another?Marie-Noelle explained how science is increasingly revealing that forests exchange resources through underground root systems, protecting and supporting one another in ways we’re only beginning to understand. With the accelerating rise of AI and the hidden demands it places on energy, water and natural resources. As technology continues to reshape our future, Marie-Noelle offered an important reminder that every digital breakthrough still depends on the health of the living world beneath it, and that some of our greatest solutions may already exist in nature if we’re willing to learn from it.*THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTION*At the heart of this conversation was a shift from ownership to stewardship. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.*LEARN (LETTING GO)*✨ The belief that success is measured only by personal achievement.✨ The assumption that nature exists separately from business and society.✨ The idea that climate responsibility belongs to someone else.*UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)*✨ Reimagine regeneration as restoring ecosystems, communities and opportunity together.✨ Reshape business as a force that gives back more than it takes.✨ Create a future built on stewardship rather than extraction.*RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)*✨ Support organisations creating measurable environmental impact.✨ Make decisions that regenerate the systems future generations will inherit.✨ Remember that meaningful change begins with action, however small.*ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)*✨ What will you leave behind?✨ Where could you shift from ownership towards stewardship?✨ What would change if you viewed nature as something you belong to rather than something you use?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/mnkeijzer🌐 https://www.weforest.org/💭 What are you planting for future generations? If something is shifting in your business, or leadership journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #weforest #regeneration #purpose #stewardship #climate #waterscience

The audacity to be seen | Personal branding, self-belief & authentic leadership | Lauren Clemett
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Lauren Clemett, Founder and CEO of The Audacious Agency, to explore visibility, self-belief, personal branding and what becomes possible when we stop hiding the parts of ourselves that deserve to be seen.Lauren highlighted that research shows 80% of men will put themselves forward for a promotion even if they don’t yet have all the skills, while 80% of women won’t because they don’t believe they’re ready. Growing up with dyslexia, asthma and eczema, she often felt different and unseen. Those experiences later shaped her mission to help leaders, founders and changemakers recognise what is already distinctive within them and build the confidence to own it.Her reminder was simple: "No one is coming to rescue you".We discussed why visibility is not about becoming louder or creating a polished persona. It begins by recognising what is already authentic, valuable and alive within you, then allowing more of it to be seen.Lauren also challenged the assumption that awards are only about ego. Her own experience showed how independent recognition can strengthen confidence, build credibility and create opportunities, particularly when others can see the value we have been too close to recognise ourselves. As AI reshapes how content is created, authentic personal brands become even more valuable. Technology can generate information, it cannot replace lived experience, original thinking or the story only you can tell from the inside out.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from waiting to feel worthy of visibility towards recognising that confidence is often grows by stepping forward before certainty arrives. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that visibility requires becoming louder or someone you are not.✨ The assumption that recognition is always ego-driven.✨ The idea that you need to be everywhere to build a meaningful personal brand.UNLEARN (CREATE • REIMAGINE • RESHAPE)✨ Create a personal brand around what is already authentic, valuable and alive.✨ Reimagine recognition as trust, evidence and opportunity rather than self-promotion.✨ Reshape visibility around the platforms, stories and strengths that genuinely fit you.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Decide what you want to be known for before trying to become known everywhere.✨ Use recognition to strengthen confidence, credibility and impact.✨ Protect and amplify the lived experience and original thinking AI cannot replicate.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you still waiting to feel ready before allowing yourself to be seen?✨ Which part of your brilliance have you made smaller to remain acceptable?✨ What would change if you stopped questioning whether you had done enough?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/laurenclemett/🌐 https://theaudaciousagency.com💭 What are you ready to stop hiding? If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #theaudaciousagency #personalbranding #selfbelief #visibility #women #authenticity #businessawards

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Dave Berner, Co-Founder and CTO of Parachute, to explore why freedom isn’t created by working fewer hours, it’s created by choosing when and how your work fits around what matters most.Dave has been living this philosophy long before AI arrived, building businesses from the back of a caravan while travelling Australia with his young family, he says, “It’s not that you’re not working. It’s just choosing when makes sense in terms of your life.”Dave has spent much of his entrepreneurial journey proving that meaningful work does not need to be confined to an office, a rigid schedule or a single way of building. From creating businesses while travelling through regional Australia, he has continued to shape work around life rather than asking life to continually bend around work.We spoke about how easily founders can confuse speed with progress, add features because they can and fill every space AI creates with even more work. Freedom does not automatically appear when repetitive tasks disappear. It depends on what we choose to do with the space that remains.Dave also opened up about the identity shift that came when AI began outperforming parts of the coding work he had spent more than 25 years mastering. Rather than diminishing his value, it revealed where his deeper contribution had always lived: understanding the customer, questioning the request, seeing the system and ensuring the team was solving the right problem.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from building more because technology makes it possible towards building with greater intention around life, human value and the problems that genuinely matter. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that entrepreneurship must consume every available hour.✨ The assumption that faster development means every feature should be built.✨ The idea that our value lives only in the technical work we have always performed.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Create work that fits the life you want to live, rather than postponing life until the business succeeds.✨ Reimagine AI as leverage for small, focused teams instead of another reason to accelerate endlessly.✨ Reshape your thinking from responding to every request towards questioning the problem beneath it.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Create routines that protect family, recovery and clear thinking while the business grows.✨ Use AI to increase capability without allowing it to dictate pace or direction.✨ Build the smallest, clearest solution that creates genuine value before adding more.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ If AI gave you back more time, what would you protect it for?✨ Where are you building because you can rather than because you should?✨ Which part of your identity is ready to evolve as tech changes your work?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/daveberner/🌐 https://www.goparachute.ai💭 Who’s driving your life: you or your business? If something is shifting in you, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic: https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #parachuteai #freedom #entrepreneurship #legaltech #lifeworkflow

Designing human flourishing | AI, neuroscience & adaptive leadership | Dr. Fiona Kerr
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Dr Fiona Kerr, Founder and CEO of The NeuroTech Institute, to explore a defining question of our time: how do humans and technology flourish together without weakening the capabilities that make us human?Over four decades, Fiona has studied how people think, connect and solve complex problems, bringing neuroscience, systems engineering and technology together to challenge the assumption that every problem needs a technological answer.Rather than starting with what AI can do, I loved how Fiona begins somewhere more fundamental: what are we trying to create, who will benefit, who may lose, and where does technology genuinely strengthen the outcome? We spoke about complex adaptive human systems and why organisations are shaped not only by the people within them, by how those people connect, exchange knowledge, build trust and think together. Strong relationships make organisations more adaptive, helping them notice weak signals, question established ways of working and respond before disruption forces change.Fiona also explained why cognitive offloading deserves far more attention. When we hand too much thinking, memory and early-stage learning to technology, we risk weakening the neural networks that later allow us to connect ideas, exercise judgement and solve complex problems. Efficiency can look productive while hollowing out capability over time.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from adopting technology because it exists towards consciously designing human-centric systems that strengthen intelligence, trust and our capacity to flourish. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that every organisational problem requires a technological solution.✨ The assumption that efficiency always strengthens human capability.✨ The idea that connection through a screen creates the same conditions as being together.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Begin with the quality of the question rather than the availability of the technology.✨ Reimagine AI as a partner that augments human intelligence instead of replacing it.✨ Design systems around how people think, connect, learn and make meaning together.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Protect the human learning that builds judgement, memory and complex thinking.✨ Use technology where it strengthens the outcome and step away when it weakens capability.✨ Build adaptive organisations that notice weak signals, question habits and remain open to emergence.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where is technology genuinely strengthening your capability?✨ What thinking or connection have you unknowingly offloaded?✨ What does a flourishing human-centred future look like before technology enters the conversation?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/dr-fiona-kerr/🌐 https://theneurotechinstitute.com/💭 Where could technology help you become more human, not less?If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #drfionakerr #artificialintelligence #neuroscience #humanintelligence #adaptiveleadership #connection

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Arsh Singh, Founder & CEO of Aivo AI and Fractional Chief AI Officer, to explore one of the biggest shifts facing founders today. Not simply how AI will change business, but how it is exposing the way many businesses were built in the first place. For years, growth has often been measured by adding more, yet somewhere along the way, many founders unknowingly became the operating system of their own business. The business continued to grow, while the freedom they originally set out to create quietly disappeared.Arsh said, “Even if you are a $50 million business, you’re still self-employed. You’re not running a business.” It was a challenge to rethink what scale, leverage and leadership actually mean in an AI-enabled world. We discussed why businesses often respond to growth by layering on more software instead of designing better systems, why founders search for the latest AI tools before clearly defining the problems they’re trying to solve, and how disconnected technology has quietly created more operational complexity rather than less.I love hearing the real opportunity isn’t replacing people or automating everything for the sake of efficiency. It’s creating businesses where intelligent systems remove repetitive work so founders can think more strategically, teams fluidly collaborate and people can spend more time doing the work that only humans can do.As AI becomes increasingly capable, Arsh believes our greatest value will no longer come from simply knowing more. It will come from judgement, empathy, relationships, creativity and the ability to solve meaningful problems. When success stops being the goal | Business, intuition & the inside-out path | Jaryd Krause
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Jaryd Krause, Founder of Buying Online Businesses, to explore business acquisition, intuition, identity, wealth and what changes when we stop building around external definitions of success and begin listening to what genuinely feels aligned.Jaryd knows what it is like to follow a proven model and get the result. He built the team, grew the business and became one of his mentor’s standout success stories. From the outside, everything appeared to be working. Internally, the model was draining him because he had created someone else’s version of success rather than his own. That experience led Jaryd to question the assumptions many founders never stop to examine. Is more money always success? Is growth still worth pursuing if it costs your health, relationships or freedom? And are the goals we chase truly ours, or inherited from mentors, industries and the environments we live in? As Jaryd shared: “I think goals are a limiting belief.”Not because direction doesn’t matter, because fixed outcomes can blind us to better possibilities. We become attached to one number, one business model or one identity, while ignoring the customers, opportunities and inner signals pointing towards a more aligned path.Instead of chasing every opportunity, Jaryd encourages founders to build the garden, not chase the butterflies, creating something people genuinely value so the right opportunities are naturally attracted.Pointing out why environment is often stronger than willpower, how intuition and data can work together, and why doing less can sometimes make a business stronger. Leaving us with: “You are the asset. The business is not the asset.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from building a life around the business towards building a business that supports the life.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that money, scale or status automatically equal success.✨ The pressure to copy a model simply because it worked for someone else.✨ The idea that more effort will always create a better result.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine success as time, space, freedom and meaningful experiences.✨ Reshape goals into intentions that leave room for new possibilities.✨ Build your own garden rather than chasing every butterfly.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Listen to what your customers, energy and business are already showing you.✨ Move resources away from what is not working and into what creates genuine value.✨ Create enough space to think, reflect and lead from outside the daily operation.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Whose definition of success are you currently pursuing?✨ What are you forcing that may need more space?✨ Is your business supporting your life, or consuming it?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/jarydkrause/🌐 https://www.buyingonlinebusinesses.com💭 What would you build if success meant more freedom, not simply more?If something is shifting in your business, leadership, or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #buyingonlinebusinesses #acquisition #entrepreneurship #selfleadership #intuition #growth #wellbeing #success

Why we need to rethink the systems we inherited | Business, leadership & education | Alex Kain
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with philosopher, author and systems thinker Alex Kain to explore a question that reaches far beyond business. Rather than asking how we build better systems, Alex challenged whether we’re still building the right ones in the first place. Many of the structures shaping our lives were designed for a very different world. We educate people for industrial-age careers, measure business success largely through financial performance and continue leading organisations through models that often separate people from the very systems they create.I loved how Alex deceptively put it: “What’s the point?” An invitation back to first principles, have we become so busy improving existing systems that we’ve stopped asking whether we’re solving the right problem in the first place? Our talked about why profit is healthiest when it becomes the outcome of creating genuine value rather than the purpose itself, why businesses are living systems shaped by every relationship inside them, and why organisations can spend years treating visible symptoms while the real constraint quietly remains untouched beneath the surface. If tomorrow’s leaders will inherit increasingly complex businesses and societies, should education continue preparing people primarily for employment, or should it invest far more deliberately in empathy, critical thinking, self-awareness and the ability to navigate change?Rather than seeing leaders as the people with all the answers, Alex argued they create environments where people feel heard, contribute to change and become genuinely invested in shaping the future together.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from optimising inherited systems towards redesigning them around people, purpose and the future we actually want to create.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ Why many of our business, leadership and education models were designed for a different era.✨ How organisations often optimise symptoms instead of addressing root causes.✨ Why profit is strongest when it becomes the outcome of value rather than the objective itself.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Challenge the belief that “this is simply how it’s always been done.”✨ Redefine leadership as participation, not hierarchy.✨ Shift from process-first thinking to people-first design.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Build organisations around human flourishing as well as commercial performance.✨ Listen before leading change.✨ Create systems that strengthen trust, collaboration and long-term value.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Which assumptions inside your business have you never questioned?✨ Are you solving the real problem or simply optimising the symptom?✨ If you could redesign one system from the ground up, where would you begin?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/mralexkain/🌐 https://thephilosophy.net💭 What’s one assumption you’ve never questioned? If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #thephilosophy #systemschange #education #leadership #insideouttransformation #futureofwork #nonlinear #purpose

What is your business really worth? | Profit, freedom & the courage to subtract | Josh Berg
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Josh Berg, Founder of Hedgehog Marketing and Mechanic Marketing, to explore what happens when a founder stops asking, "How do I grow this business?" and starts asking a far more uncomfortable question:"Is this business still creating the life I wanted it to?"Josh had built the kind of agency many founders aspire to. The team was growing, new clients kept arriving and, from the outside, the business looked successful. Yet beneath the momentum, revenue wasn't translating into meaningful profit, complexity was replacing clarity and the business was demanding more of him than it was giving back.Rather than chasing another growth strategy, Josh chose to redesign the business itself. That meant letting people go, questioning long-held assumptions about scale, confronting his own sense of business self-worth and learning that saying yes to everything was slowly taking him further away from the work he genuinely valued.Josh realised he had spent years hiring people to solve problems that he, as the founder, first needed to understand himself. That shift changed not only the structure of the business, but the way he thought about leadership, pricing, value and growth.Today, his business generates around 80 per cent of its previous revenue with a fraction of the team, stronger profitability and something that had become far more valuable than growth alone. As Josh put it: "It was better on my soul." Sometimes it begins with having the courage to subtract.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from growing for appearance towards building for value, freedom and long-term alignment. The leadership lessons experience teaches you | Authenticity, judgement & change | Eric Morris
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Eric Morris, Non-Executive Director, Chair and former CEO, to explore authentic leadership, culture, decision-making and the lessons shaped by decades of growth, disruption and change. After 18 years as a CEO across retail and consumer businesses, one of Eric’s strongest reminders was to trust your instincts. Experience teaches us to recognise when something, or someone, is not quite right, yet leaders often delay difficult decisions hoping the situation will improve. Eric’s lesson was clear: waiting rarely makes the decision easier, and some of his greatest frustrations came from giving people or problems too long to change. He also challenged the familiar phrase, “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.”“If it’s not broken, assess it.” Businesses can become so attached to what worked before that they fail to notice the world changing around them. Continuous improvement means questioning what still serves the customer, culture and future before disruption forces the decision.Listening matters, explaining the why matters and involving people matters, yet leadership still requires someone to make the call. Eric also shared that one of the greatest risks to any organisation is the disengaged employee who stays, weakening trust, energy and performance. At the centre of Eric’s leadership philosophy is authenticity. He has seen leaders spend enormous energy acting like the title they hold, when the most trusted form of leadership is simply showing up as yourself.Eric believes that if people never make mistakes, they may not be stretching far enough. The lesson is not to defend the mistake or protect the ego: “Address it, don’t justify it.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from performing leadership towards practising it with greater authenticity, judgement and courage.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that leaders need to be good at everything.✨ The temptation to delay difficult decisions and hope problems resolve themselves.✨ The assumption that what worked before will continue working tomorrow.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine authenticity as a leadership advantage rather than a vulnerability.✨ Reshape culture through listening, clarity and action rather than surveys alone.✨ Replace defensiveness with the courage to address mistakes directly.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Trust your instincts, then make the decision.✨ Explain the why without needing everyone to agree.✨ Create space to think, seek trusted counsel and remain steady when pressure rises.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What decision are you delaying even though you already know the answer?✨ Where has familiarity become complacency?✨ Are you leading as yourself, or performing the role you think others expect?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/eric-morris-2b97656a/🌐 https://albanyadvisory.com.au💭 What changes when you stop looking like a leader and start being one?If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivencee #authenticity #lessons #ceo #culture #decisionmaking #businessgrowth

Fix the capital, not the company | Reimagining wealth, markets & the next economy | Cameron Neil
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Cameron Neil, Founder of Red Hat Impact, to explore a question that reaches far beyond finance: what happens when the systems we've inherited are no longer capable of creating the future we need?Cam believes we are living through an "unfrozen" moment. The economic and financial models that have shaped generations are beginning to loosen their grip, creating both uncertainty and a rare opportunity to rethink what capital is actually for.Rather than asking founders, businesses and communities to continually adapt to outdated financial systems, Cam offers a profound reframe: "Fix the capital, not the company."This wasn't simply talking about about money, it was about who gets access to opportunity, how value is created, and why the future may belong to communities that collaborate rather than compete. From women-led enterprises across the Indo-Pacific to community-owned initiatives and collective models of investment, Cam shared why the next economy may emerge through local, interconnected systems that regenerate value instead of extracting it.Underlying the entire conversation was an invitation: to stop treating today's economic systems as inevitable. Every system was designed by people, which means every system can be redesigned. The future is not waiting to be discovered; it is being shaped by the choices we make, the capital we move and the possibilities we are willing to imagine today. When growth strengthens the foundation | Culture, succession & co leadership | George Bou-Rizk
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with George Bou-Rizk, Co-CEO and Software Engineering Manager at Genesys Design, to explore succession, culture, shared leadership and what becomes possible when growth strengthens a business rather than pulling it away from its foundations.George joined Genesys Design as an intern while at university and, over eleven years, progressed through engineering, software and operations before becoming Co-CEO. Few leaders experience a business from so many perspectives, enabling an appreciation for how culture, systems and leadership evolve together.I loved hearing how the succession unfolded. Rather than waiting for founder Jeff Seizer to step aside, George and his fellow Co-CEO, Damien, developed a vision for the company’s future and approached Jeff with a plan to lead its next chapter while protecting the excellence and values it had been built upon. That transition asked everyone to let go of something. Jeff released day-to-day leadership while remaining connected to the technical heart of the business. George and Damien learned to step away from doing everything themselves, trust the leaders around them and discover that growing a business often begins by letting go of control.George also spoke about the power of “shared pressure.” Leading alongside a trusted Co-CEO meant he never carried leadership alone. When George lost his father, Damien stepped in, giving him the space to be with his family, knowing the business was in safe hands. When success stops being something you prove | Self-trust, ADHD & whole-person growth | Ruth Kudzi
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Ruth Kudzi, Founder and CEO of Optimus Coach Academy, to explore identity, ADHD, coaching, self-trust and what changes when we stop searching outside ourselves for the answers we've carried all along.Ruth named something many people carry: the belief that the answer must be somewhere outside us. For years, she built a life that looked successful from the outside. She earned well, travelled, lived in different cities, designer clothes, achieved the roles and did all the things meant to create the feeling of being enough. Yet underneath it all was the same question so many leaders, founders and high performers know intimately: why does it still feel like something is missing?Ruth's ADHD diagnosis later helped her better understand the feeling of not quite fitting in, the comparison, the rejection sensitivity and the sense that everyone else somehow had life more sorted. Rather than treating those parts of herself as something to fix, Ruth learned to work with them and trust herself. That led to Ruth shifting towards spaces where she could begin building something far more important than confidence: self-trust.I loved hearing Ruth say, “You've got the answers inside.” and four simple questions to ask yourself:What do I actually need? What gives me energy? What creates peace? What does success genuinely look like for me?THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from outsourcing self-worth to rebuilding self-trust.This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that success, achievement or external validation will finally make you feel enough.✨ The pressure to constantly do more in order to become more.✨ The idea that you need fixing before you can trust yourself.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine personal development as something deeply personal, rather than something to outsource.✨ Reshape your relationship with the parts of yourself you've spent years resisting.✨ Create success around peace, meaning, energy and alignment rather than constant proving.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Notice what genuinely energises you and what disconnects you from yourself.✨ Build from the whole person, not just the professional identity.✨ Create space for rest, reflection and self-awareness before searching for another answer.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you still looking outside yourself for permission to feel enough?✨ What part of yourself are you trying to fix instead of understand?✨ What would change if you trusted yourself a little more today?🔗 http://www.linkedin.com/in/ruthkudzi🌐 https://www.optimuscoachacademy.com🌐 https://www.ruthkudzi.com💭 What changes when you stop searching for the answers outside yourself? If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #optimuscoachacademy #selftrust #identity #adhd #wholeperson #coaching #personaldevelopment #entrepreneurship #insideoutleadership #selfworth #nonlinear

What followed was a personal mission to understand the everyday products touching their child’s skin and to create something safer, gentler and more trustworthy for families.I loved how much conviction is behind the business. Again and again, Suthan and Dirka were told to make the product cheaper, simpler and more like everything else in the market and they refused to compromise.Because, this was never only about creating another baby wipe. It was about reducing one more preventable worry for parents, using natural ingredients with purpose and proving that a business can grow without sacrificing the very reason it exists. We spoke about Manuka honey essence, coconut oil, product formulation, skin sensitivity, parental anxiety, customer trust and the unseen sacrifices behind building a brand with integrity. Suthan also shared the reality of surviving COVID as a small business, selling assets to keep the company alive, living on baked beans and toast while making sure the children were fed, and continuing because customers kept showing them the product mattered. When everything seemed to be working against them, Suthan kept returning to one piece of advice from his mum: “Don’t worry about money. In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Nicole Bowles, CEO of Basketball ACT, to explore female leadership, community, motherhood and what changes when leadership shifts from proving ourselves to building trust, presence and regenerative growth. As the first female CEO in Basketball ACT’s 75-year history, Nicole leads one of Australia’s fastest-growing basketball communities. From the very beginning of our conversation, she spoke openly about the parts of leadership that rarely make it into annual reports or leadership books. At one point she smiled and described herself as “a recovering perfectionist”, a moment that resonated wholeheartedly with me and, I suspect, many leaders carrying the weight of trying to hold everything together. We went into self-doubt, carrying responsibility, learning how not to burn out and letting go of the pressure to prove yourself. Nicole also shared the importance of creating space between work and home, surrounding yourself with the right support network and recognising that women are often their own harshest critics. Running through it all was one simple truth: the strongest leadership begins long before you lead others, it begins by knowing yourself from the inside out.Rather than chasing performance at any cost, Nicole believes sustainable results are created when the foundations are right.“If you’ve got the right people, systems and processes… the performance will come.”Nicole’s approach reminds us that regenerative leadership is not created by carrying more, controlling more or proving more. Why the future is built between disciplines | Design, business & acquisition | Derin Sonmez
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO & VC Podcast, I connected with Derin Sonmez, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Aeqor Partners, to explore entrepreneurship through acquisition, leadership, business design and what becomes possible when creativity moves beyond ideas and begins creating long-term value inside out.Having started his career designing iconic vehicles, along the way, he discovered that the same creative thinking used to design a car could also be applied to identifying untapped business potential, navigating acquisitions and building organisations for the future.I loved how this challenged the way we think about expertise. Rather than remaining inside a single discipline, Derin’s work sits where design, technology, business and human behaviour converge. It is at these intersections, where fresh perspectives meet, that innovation, adaptability and long-term value begin to emerge. We discussed Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition (ETA), leaving the certainty of corporate life, transferable skills, AI as a creative amplifier and why surrounding yourself with the right people matters just as much as having the right strategy. One insight that particularly resonated came as Derin reflected on navigating the inevitable pressures of acquisitions.“When there’s a fire, keep the gasoline away.”A simple observation that extends far beyond business, as leaders the ability to be calm allows us to see more, respond with intention and make decisions that create value long after the moment of pressure has passed.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from working within disciplines to creating value at their intersection.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that creativity belongs only to designers and innovators.✨ The assumption that expertise must remain within one profession or industry.✨ The idea that business, technology and human behaviour should be solved separately.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine creativity as a strategic capability for leadership, investing and business.✨ Build where design, technology, business and human behaviour intersect.✨ Recognise value by seeing not only what exists today, but what something could become.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Apply transferable thinking across industries rather than limiting yourself to one path.✨ Build partnerships grounded in trust, resilience and complementary strengths.✨ Stay adaptable as technology reshapes how businesses are built and grown.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you relying on expertise instead of curiosity?✨ What opportunities might emerge if you looked beyond your own discipline?✨ How could creativity create greater value in the way you lead, build or invest?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/derin-sonmez/🌐 http://aeqorpartners.com💭 Where could creativity create more value in your business or leadership? If something is shifting in your business, leadership, or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #aeqorpartners #entrepreneurshipthroughacquisition #acquisition #lifeleadershipbusiness #designthinking #innovation #creativity #businessstrategy #interconnection #insideouttransformation

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO and VC Podcast, I connected with Oscar Ramos, Managing Partner at Orbit Ventures, to explore venture capital, emerging markets, real economy transformation and what becomes possible when capital is measured not only by what it returns, by what it helps create.Oscar has spent more than two decades working across technology, venture and emerging markets, backing founders who are using digital transformation to modernise essential industries, expand access and strengthen local economies. What I loved was how clearly he challenged the assumption that emerging markets are simply behind developed economies. We spoke about mobile payments, access to credit, agriculture, logistics, small retailers, infrastructure and why some of the most important innovation does not always look like another software platform. Oscar also shared why context matters so deeply in emerging markets. You cannot simply copy and paste a model from the US, Europe or Australia and expect it to work. The infrastructure, trust systems, talent, customer behaviour and informal networks are different. Oscar shared a great point of view, “Inefficiency is the only loser. Everybody wins.”Which led us into, role women founders are playing in emerging markets, the challenge of solving problems at the root rather than only at the top of the funnel, and why real inclusion requires access to education, training, opportunity and capital long before someone is expected to lead.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from chasing growth towards building the real economy. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that emerging markets are simply behind developed economies.✨ The assumption that venture capital should only chase fast growth and large exits.✨ The idea that one model can be copied into every market without understanding context.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine emerging markets as places of leapfrogging, innovation and economic transformation.✨ Reshape capital as a catalyst for modernising essential industries.✨ Create solutions that are economically viable, locally relevant and able to scale.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Understand the customer, infrastructure and trust systems before applying a model.✨ Invest in founders solving real economy problems through technology.✨ Build across markets by learning what transfers, what changes and what must be reshaped.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you assuming “emerging” means “behind”?✨ What could capital help create beyond financial return?✨ Where could solving inefficiency unlock value for everyone involved?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/oscarramosm/https://orbitventures.com/💭 What changes when we stop seeing emerging markets as catching up and start seeing them as building differently? If something is shifting in your business, leadership, investment or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenvc #orbitventures #venturecapital #emergingmarkets #realeconomy #impactinvesting #consciouscapital #innovation #startups #insideouttransfromation #nonlinear

Rebuilding health care | Prevention, longevity & conscious capital | Todd Perman
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO and VC Podcast, I connected with Todd Perman, CEO and General Partner of Seed Healthcare and host of the Kill or Cure Podcast, to explore preventative healthcare, longevity, conscious capital and what becomes possible when we stop optimising a broken system and start building the one we actually need. After more than three decades across medical devices, healthcare operations, capital markets and venture investment, Todd has seen the same pattern play out again and again. Most healthcare systems are still built around sickness, symptoms and late-stage intervention, rather than prevention, early detection and helping people take ownership of their health before crisis hits.Todd shared why the future of healthcare must shift from treating disease late to finding it early, whether that is cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, metabolic dysfunction or other conditions that can often be better managed when detected sooner. We spoke about blood testing, full-body scans, CT angiograms, AI-enabled diagnostics and why understanding your family history may be one of the most important health decisions you make.Todd believes we may see fifty years of healthcare innovation compressed into the next five to ten years, making this a critical moment for founders, investors, clinicians and consumers alike. There was also the very special guest appearance from Coconut in Puerto Rico and Marley Bob in Melbourne, reminding us that even the most serious conversations, still have room for a little bit of dog chaos.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from sick care towards preventative health, early detection and personal responsibility. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that healthcare begins only once something is wrong.✨ The assumption that the system will always catch disease early enough.✨ The idea that longevity is only about living longer, rather than living well.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine healthcare as a system designed around prevention, not just treatment.✨ Reshape capital as a force for measurable health impact and conscious innovation.✨ Create greater ownership by asking better questions, getting tested and understanding your own risk.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Know your family history and use it to guide proactive screening.✨ Explore diagnostics that help detect disease earlier, from blood testing to heart and cancer screening.✨ Build business, investment and healthcare models that reward better outcomes, not just more intervention.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you waiting for symptoms instead of seeking root cause?✨ What health data could help you make better decisions now?✨ What would change if prevention became your first strategy, not your last resort?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/toddperman🌐 http://www.seedhealthcare.com💭 What could you discover if you stopped waiting for symptoms? If something is shifting in your business, leadership, or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #seedhealthcare #healthcare #innovation #preventative #longevity #venturecapital

Beyond success | Consciousness, psychedelics & the empathy crisis | Zappy Zapolin
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Zappy Zapolin, Co-Founder of Psychedelic Concierge, filmmaker and consciousness explorer, to explore healing, psychedelics, business and the journey back to ourselves from the inside out. After building success across Wall Street, Silicon Valley and the internet domain world, Zappy reached a point where external achievement no longer felt like the answer. He had done everything society told him would bring fulfilment, yet found himself asking a far deeper question: Who am I really? That question led him into plant medicine, opening a journey that transformed his own life and the lives of thousands of others through education, documentary filmmaking and safe, guided psychedelic experiences. We explored ayahuasca, psilocybin, ketamine, ibogaine and San Pedro, not as escapism, as tools helping people interrupt old patterns, heal trauma, expand empathy and reconnect with themselves.Zappy shared why he believes we are living through both a mental health crisis and an empathy crisis, and why healing ourselves is one of the greatest responsibilities of our time. I loved when Zappy described an experience that completely reshaped how he sees life: “We are already inside a miracle.”It was a reminder that healing isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about reconnecting with the parts of ourselves we’ve forgotten.Zappy also shared insights from his upcoming documentary, Frequency: The Secret of Everything, and why frequency may reshape the future of medicine, healing and human potential.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from pursuing external success towards remembering who we are beneath the noise. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that achievement alone creates fulfilment.✨ The idea that healing only happens through the mind.✨ The assumption that our past defines who we become.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine healing as remembering who you truly are.✨ Reshape success from external validation into inner alignment.✨ Create space for empathy, surrender and deeper consciousness.RELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Trust curiosity over certainty.✨ Heal the patterns before chasing the next achievement.✨ Lead your business, your relationships and your life from greater presence.ACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where have you forgotten the miracle of being alive?✨ Which stories about success no longer belong to you?✨ What would change if empathy became your greatest leadership advantage?🔗 https://zappyzapolin.com/📸 https://www.instagram.com/zappyzapolin🎥 https://youtu.be/nbsR9XqPVx0💭 What have you been searching for externally that might already exist within you?If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #zappyzapolin #consciousness #psychedelics #plantmedicine #empathy #fulfillment #mentalhealth #insideouttransformation #soulfulhighflowconsciousleadership

The Pleasure Code | Learning yourself, building trust & leading better | Angelique Green
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Angelique Green, Founder of The Mighty Shed and creator of The Pleasure Codes, to explore trust, pleasure and what it means to stay human in a world increasingly driven by performance, data and certainty. After more than three decades helping brands including Starbucks, Coca-Cola and Formula One understand human behaviour, Angelique found herself asking a far more personal question: What do I actually desire? As Angelique beautifully shared, so much of our lives are shaped by stories we never realise we’re telling ourselves. We chase the next promotion, the next milestone or the next identity, believing fulfilment is waiting just beyond the next achievement. Yet what we’re truly searching for cannot be measured by success, status, data or performance. It lives somewhere much deeper.Angelique spoke about Greek philosophy, Epicurus, hedonism and how our relationship with pleasure has been distorted over time. I loved how she reframed pleasure as something far richer than consumption. It is about energy, meaning, truth, curiosity and what illuminates us.The gap between what people say they want and what they’re actually drawn towards. This gap becomes visible in brands, business, leadership and life. Data may reveal behaviour, yet it does not always reveal the desire beneath it. Angelique talked about how trust is the defining challenge facing leaders, businesses and society today. Trust is built through the willingness to let people see the real you.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from performing success towards understanding ourselves. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology.LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that success comes from continually chasing the next achievement.✨ The assumption that data alone can explain human behaviour.✨ The idea that productivity matters more than self-awareness.UNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Pleasure is deeper than indulgence. AI, reinvention & building a business around life | Yvette Adams
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Yvette Adams, Founder, Business Partner, Communications Strategist, AI Keynote Speaker and Trainer, to explore life, leadership, business, reinvention, AI and what happens when life forces us to completely reshape the way we live and work.Yvette launched her first business at just 17, and it was surviving multiple strokes and heart surgery that transformed how she thinks about success, leadership and building a business around life, rather than the other way around. What makes Yvette’s perspective on AI so refreshing is that she didn’t discover it through hype, she discovered it through necessity. During her recovery, AI became an assistive technology that helped her communicate, think and work when her brain and body simply couldn’t operate the way they once had.As Yvette shared throughout our conversation, rebuilding isn’t about returning to who we were. It’s about creating a new way forward. We explored why leaders are resisting AI, why health may be our greatest business strategy, and why the future belongs to those willing to adapt without losing themselves in the process.I loved when Yvette shared a simple analogy that perfectly captured her philosophy today: put the big rocks into your life first. Health, family, purpose and what truly matters. Everything else is simply the sand that finds its place around them.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from pushing through life and business towards rebuilding around health, simplicity, adaptability and intelligent use of technology. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that success requires constant pushing, proving and overextending✨ The idea that technology is only useful when it is trendy, rather than when it genuinely supports human needs✨ The assumption that leaders can keep operating without proper systems, support and recoveryUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine AI as an assistive, adaptive and strategic tool✨ Create business structures that can keep moving even when life interrupts✨ Reshape success around health, joy, energy and what truly mattersRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Use AI in practical ways that save time, reduce friction and support better thinking✨ Build procedures, templates and support systems before they are urgently needed✨ Put the important rocks into your life first and let the rest fit around themACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What would your business do if you suddenly could not work tomorrow?✨ Where are you resisting AI because starting again feels uncomfortable?✨ What are the real rocks in your life, leadership and business right now?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/yvetteadams🌐 https://thecreativecollective.com.au💭 What changes when health stops being something we fit around work and becomes the strategy everything else is built from?If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #ai #businessreinvention #womeninbusiness #invisibledisability #antifragile #insideouttransformation #lifeleadershipbusiness

Building regenerative leadership and business through sports recycling | Erin Cunningham
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Erin Cunningham, CEO and Executive Director of RecycleBalls, to explore life, leadership, business, regeneration, community and the liminal space between what is ending and what is becoming possible next.Erin leads an organisation transforming sports recycling, collecting and repurposing millions of used tennis balls each year into new products and new possibilities.Erin described what she calls the liminal side of transformation, the often uncomfortable space between what has been and what has not yet fully formed. For me, this is being formless: remaining present in the unknown long enough for a new shape to emerge. As Erin beautifully shared: “Sometimes we try to rush out of that space. But that’s where the magic can happen. That’s where the regenerative idea is born.”We discussed why regeneration is becoming the next evolution beyond sustainability, why meaningful transformation never happens alone, and why the future of business may depend less on having all the answers and more on our willingness to reshape ourselves, our systems and our communities together. Regeneration isn’t simply about what we do with waste, it’s about recognising what still holds potential, reimagining what it could become, and creating the conditions for people, businesses and communities to continually evolve.I loved when Erin asked me a question about leadership and change: what happens when the leader has already leapt into the liminal space, and the team is still standing at the edge? You'll have to watch to see my response..THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from sustaining what exists towards regenerating what could become next. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that waste is the natural end of a product’s life✨ The idea that sustainability is enough when regeneration is now being asked of us✨ The assumption that leaders must already know the full answer before stepping into changeUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine waste as material waiting for a new life✨ Create systems where people can participate in change rather than simply believe in it✨ Reshape leadership as the ability to stay present in the liminal spaceRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Build through inspiration, innovation and infrastructure✨ Bring teams into change through trust, connection and shared humanity✨ Let regeneration become a living practice, not just an environmental conceptACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you trying to rush out of the liminal space too quickly?✨ What in your business, leadership or life still has another life in it?✨ What would change if you moved from sustaining to regenerating?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/erinccunningham/🌐 https://www.recycleballs.org💭 What could emerge if you stayed in the liminal space just a little longer? If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #recycleballs #regenerativebusiness #sustainability #sports #socialimpact #liminal #community #insideouttransformation

Why the future starts with human potential | Neuroscience & Venture Capital | Rudi Adigbli
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO & VC Podcast, I connected with Rudi Adigbli, Founder of Reewire VC, to explore one of the biggest questions facing founders, leaders and investors today:What if the greatest opportunity of the next decade isn’t artificial intelligence… instead human intelligence? As technology accelerates, attention is shrinking, mental health is declining and more founders are discovering that productivity alone is no longer enough. We discussed neuroscience, flow science, neuroplasticity, venture capital and the deeper relationship between performance, the nervous system and human potential.Rudi is building Reewire VC around a bold investment thesis: that the future belongs to technologies that help us think more clearly, regulate more effectively and reconnect with what makes us human. What fascinated me most was that while Rudi was building a fund around rewiring the human mind, he found himself having to rewire his own. As old patterns, trauma and leadership challenges surfaced, his venture became as much an inner transformation as it was an investment thesis.I loved how Rudi shared his own lived experienced, the journey he is on, what happens when founders stop optimising for more output and begin understanding the biology, behaviour and beliefs driving everything beneath it.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from productivity-driven performance towards nervous system awareness, flow state, whole-being and human-aligned technology. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that more time, more pressure and more output always create better performance✨ The assumption that mental health, cognitive decline and productivity are separate problems✨ The idea that technology is neutral when it is actively shaping human behaviour and habitUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine performance as something shaped by the nervous system, body and mind together✨ Create technology that supports agency, clarity and human alignment rather than addiction✨ Reshape venture capital around mental health, cognitive performance and human potentialRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Listen to the body as part of the intelligence system✨ Use breaks, recovery and presence as part of high-quality output✨ Build from the inside out so the founder, the company and the mission evolve togetherACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you confusing constant output with true performance?✨ What old wiring is shaping the way you build, lead or respond under pressure?✨ How might your work change if your nervous system became part of the strategy?🔗 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rudi-komi-adigbli/🌐 Reewire VC: https://reewire.vc💭 What changes when we stop forcing performance and start rewiring from within? If something is shifting in your life, leadership, business or investment journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #reewirevc #venturecapital #neuroscience #flowscience #humanpotential #mentalhealth #cognitiveperformance #neuroplasticity #founderjourney #nervoussystem #insideouttransformation #highflow #antifragile #soul

Spiritual awakening, pattern disruption & feminine power | Janelle Bridge
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Janelle Bridge, Psychic Pattern Disruptor, author of The Process of Breaking Open and host of The Inner Know Podcast, to explore life, leadership, motherhood, learnings from a being a celebrant spirituality, feminine power, intuition, pattern disruption and what happens when we stop looking outside ourselves for permission.Janelle helps women reconnect with their inner knowing and uncover the patterns keeping them disconnected from who they truly are. What makes Janelle’s work so powerful is that she does not use psychic guidance to take people’s power away, it's about them getting it back.Janelle shared how motherhood became one of her greatest awakenings. As the mother of two neurodivergent children, including a son with ADHD and a daughter who is autistic, she found herself questioning everything she had been told a “good mother” should be. The more she tried to follow outside advice, expert opinions and social expectations, the more disconnected she felt from herself and from what her children actually needed. What stood out most was Janelle’s honesty about wanting people to see how hard she was trying, not because she wanted praise, because she wanted people to know it was not her fault.Janelle’s reminder was simple and profound: sometimes the first step is not to fix, force or find the answer. Sometimes it is to sit in the unknown long enough to hear what is actually being shown.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from external validation towards deep self-trust, inner knowing and the courage to stop pretending. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that being a good mother, leader or woman means getting it right in everyone else’s eyes✨ The pressure to perform strength, success or certainty when we are actually breaking open✨ The habit of looking outside ourselves for permission, validation or predictionUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine intuition as a form of self-trust, not something separate from everyday life✨ Create space to sit in the void instead of rushing to fix what is shifting✨ Reshape power through softness, honesty, vulnerability and feminine wisdomRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Trust what feels true, even when outside advice says otherwise✨ Notice the patterns that keep repeating and ask what they are trying to show you✨ Let breaking open become the beginning of a more honest way to live, lead and buildACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you still performing for external validation?✨ What pattern keeps repeating because it has not yet been seen?✨ What might shift if you stopped pretending and trusted what you already know?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/janelle-bridge-03996ab8/🌐 https://www.janellebridge.com📖 The Process of Breaking Open💭 What changes when we stop pretending and start trusting what we already know?If something is shifting in your life, leadership, business journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #janellebridge #spiritualawakening #patterninterrupt #femininepower #intuition #love #neurodivergent

In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO & VC Podcast, I connected with Bryce Gilleland, Managing Partner at California Innovation Fund, to explore life, leadership, venture capital, founder alignment, innovation, energy, spirituality, purpose and what happens when performance is no longer enough on its own.Bryce’s career has included leading the world’s top performing hedge fund in 2020. From the outside, it is a story that could easily be framed around achievement, performance and investment success. He spoke openly about the point in his career where everything looked right on paper and that led him to step away, take a six-month sabbatical, travel, explore spirituality, spend time in Bali and begin asking deeper questions about purpose, identity and the life he actually wanted.Bryce now brings that lens into venture capital and what stood out was how much he values not only technical excellence, as well as founder alignment: the difference between someone building because a market looks hot and someone building because they are deeply connected to the problem they are solving.Bryce’s perspective is a reminder that capital still needs discernment. The strongest founders are grounded, curious, diligent, coachable and connected to the work they are choosing to give the next five to ten years of their lives to.I love how Bryce, captured in our chat; If you know the exact path you are on, you may not be open enough to what else wants to emerge.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from pursuing success for its own sake towards building a life, business and investment philosophy that is deeply aligned with purpose, curiosity and the impact we want to create. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that success on paper means the path is right✨ The assumption that capability is enough without clarity of why✨ The idea that venture capital should only measure markets, numbers and momentumUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine performance as something that needs purpose underneath it✨ Create space to hear what is actually aligned before choosing the next path✨ Reshape founder-market fit around lived connection, curiosity and deep commitmentRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Back founders who are grounded, diligent and connected to the problem✨ Build from expertise rather than chasing any good deal✨ Let intuition, analysis and purpose work together when making decisionsACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you performing well but feeling misaligned?✨ What path might reveal itself if you created more space to listen?✨ Is your current ambition connected to your deeper why?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/bryce-gilleland-574b74a/🌐 https://www.linkedin.com/company/californiainnovationfund/💭 What changes when performance is guided by purpose, not just achievement? If something is shifting in your life, leadership, business or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenvc #californiainnovationfund #founderalignment #purpose #innovation #consciouscapital #insideouttransformation

I loved the way CiCi has carried the discipline, antifragility, preparation and competitive intelligence from tennis into venture capital. As Founder and General Partner of Cartan Capital, CiCi now invests in sports, health and performance technology companies helping people move, recover, perform and live healthier lives. CiCi knows what it feels like to train, compete, recover, manage pressure, work through injury and rebuild when the path changes. We discussed how performance shifts when the scoreboard changes, why confidence matters in sport, business and investing, and how the habits built through elite competition can become powerful foundations for company building and capital allocation.CiCi spoke about the underrepresentation of women across VC, the early analyst and associate levels where many leave before reaching leadership positions. She also reflected on the strength of female founders, the importance of backing women, and why more pathways are needed for young women to see venture capital as a place where they can lead, invest and shape the future.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from elite athlete to investor, and the realisation that performance, confidence and identity can move with us into new arenas. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that one identity defines the whole journey✨ The assumption that starting again means starting from nothing✨ The idea that performance only belongs in sportUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine confidence as something built through preparation and repetition✨ Create new pathways for women in venture capital and capital allocation✨ Reshape performance around movement, recovery, health and long-term human potentialRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Carry discipline from one arena into the next✨ Trust the skills built through pressure, competition and reinvention✨ Keep learning when the field, rules and scoreboard changeACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ What strengths are you carrying from a previous chapter into your next arena?✨ Where are you underestimating the discipline you have already built?✨ What would shift if confidence came from preparation rather than certainty?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/cici-bellis-750926182/🌐 https://www.cartancapital.com/💭 What strengths are you already carrying into your next chapter? If something is shifting in your life, leadership, business or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenvc #cartancapital #womeninvc #humanperformance #sportstech #reinvention #eliteperformance #confidence #founderjourney #insideouttransformation

Identity, self-trust & becoming who you were always meant to be | Dani Wallace
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Dani Wallace, Founder of The BIG Festoon and known as The Queen Bee, to explore life, leadership, identity, visibility, community, speaking, self-trust and what happens when the business you have built asks you to become someone new.As two self-confessed "queen bees" meeting across opposite sides of the world, our conversation began with laughter, honey, hives and the role bees play in building energetic ecosystems. Dani shared the meaning behind The BIG Festoon, drawn from the way bees link arms and use themselves as a unit of measurement when building something new: businesses linking arms, communities building together, and founders remembering that success is not meant to be a solo performance. On the outside, everything looked like a huge milestone, yet on the inside, it cost her deeply and led to what she described as a tower moment, where old structures, old patterns and old ways of building began to fall away. Sounded very formless to me..For years, she had been helping people become more visible, use their voice and show up authentically, while also recognising that much of her own growth had been driven by survival, achievement, validation and the need to keep moving. When the pace finally slowed, she found herself facing the deeper question underneath it all: do I actually like myself when I am no longer performing, producing or proving?I loved how Dani shared about learning to sit with herself, rebuild self-trust, receive support, soften into her feminine energy and separate who she is from what she has built. Jing, Qi & Shen | Building vitality, leadership & business that lasts | Mason Taylor
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Mason Taylor, Founder and CEO of SuperFeast, to explore life, leadership, longevity, tonic herbs, medicinal mushrooms, business essence, founder identity and what it means to build a company around vitality rather than extraction. What began as a passion project has grown into one of Australia’s leading suppliers of Di Tao tonic herbs and mushrooms, built around traditional wisdom, flourishing health and the belief that vitality is something we can consciously cultivate over time.Mason spoke openly about stepping back into the CEO role, moving people and agencies on, and recognising where the business had drifted away from its core intent. He described SuperFeast as something far more alive than a product company. It is a vessel for education, longevity, traditional wisdom and helping people build enough energy, awareness and vitality to move through life with more presence and less degeneration. We explored the Taoist framework of Jing, Qi and Shen, and how Mason uses it not only to understand health, but also to understand business. Jing as the vessel and foundation, Qi as the animation and movement, and Shen as the spirit, direction and deeper destination. That framework opened up a powerful way of looking at organisations as living systems, where the health of the individual, the team and the business are all interconnected. What I loved most was Mason’s refusal to separate vitality from business. For him, longevity is not just about living longer. It is about becoming someone with enough energy, wisdom and clarity to arrive in elderhood as a better human, not a burdened, depleted or disconnected version of ourselves. In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Robert Hangu, Founder of NextOps Agency and Host of the Operational Clarity Podcast, to explore life, leadership, operational clarity, human judgement, AI, founder resilience and what happens when technology starts taking on more of the repetitive work that quietly consumes our time, focus and energy.Robert helps body corporates, strata managers and community organisations through AI-powered communication systems. His work sits inside AI automation, the deeper thread was really about energy, attention and where human beings create the most value in a world that is becoming increasingly automated.Robert shared his journey from big tech into entrepreneurship, the challenges of introducing new technology into traditional industries, and the realities of building something that many people do not yet fully understand. We explored the friction that exists inside organisations when repetitive work dominates the day, not only slowing responsiveness and decision-making, but draining focus, creating frustration and leaving teams stuck solving the same problems over and over again.Robert spoke candidly about rejection, self-doubt, resilience and the emotional reality of building a business from the ground up. He reflected on the challenge of continuing forward when the market says no, when timing is uncertain and when results take longer than expected.I related to what Robert said..“What is this trying to teach me?”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from friction to clarity, from reaction to intention, and from constant activity to more meaningful use of human energy. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that humans should carry every repetitive task✨ The assumption that rejection means failure✨ The idea that working harder is always the answerUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine automation as a tool that supports people rather than replaces them✨ Create systems that reduce friction and improve responsiveness✨ Reshape rejection into information, feedback and learningRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Focus human attention where judgement creates the greatest value✨ Build businesses that create clarity rather than complexity✨ Use setbacks as opportunities to refine, adapt and improveACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where is repetitive work draining energy from your business?✨ What are you taking personally that may simply be timing or feedback?✨ Where would greater clarity create greater momentum?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/robert-hangu/🌐 https://nextops.agency🎙️ https://www.youtube.com/@OperationalClarityHOA💭 Where is your energy leaking, and what becomes possible when you redirect it towards what matters most?If something is shifting in your life, leadership or business journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #operationalclarity #humanjudgement #antifragile #automation #entrepreneurship #attentioneconomy #insideouttransformation #founderstartup

Founder readiness, due diligence & building companies that endure | Paul Claxton
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO & VC Podcast, I connected with Paul Anthony Claxton, Founder and General Partner of Digerati Investments and Managing Partner at Reciprocity ROI, to explore life, leadership, venture capital, founder readiness, diligence, discipline and what it takes to build companies that can withstand pressure.Paul’s perspective is shaped by far more than capital markets. As a former United States Marine and combat veteran, he brings a unique lens to leadership, accountability, risk and decision-making under uncertainty. It is a perspective forged through experience, where performance matters, pressure reveals character and preparation often determines survival.Paul stated that capital should never exist in isolation from discipline. Too often, founders are taught that raising money is the next milestone. Paul challenges that assumption. He believes the real question is not whether a company can raise capital, but whether it is ready for it.One concept that I loved was what Paul calls “money with muscle”, capital that helps founders gain customers, strengthen strategy, attract the right partners and build from a position of clarity rather than urgency. There was also a strong thread around disclosure, trust and diligence. Paul spoke openly about why founders should never hide their challenges, why investors need to understand the reality beneath the pitch deck and why enduring businesses are often built through transparency rather than performance. We discussed the difference between businesses built for momentum and businesses built to last. Paul continually returned to the same underlying principle: pressure has a way of revealing what is real.THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from capital as momentum towards capital as discipline, alignment and long-term endurance. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that raising capital is always the next right move✨ The assumption that hype creates durable companies✨ The idea that investors should only assess the upsideUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine capital consciously as structure, not just funding✨ Create founder readiness before institutional pressure arrives✨ Reshape diligence around disclosure, risk and alignmentRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Build with disciplined priorities, not endless urgency✨ Match the right capital structure to the right stage✨ Invest in founders who can pivot, execute and lead under pressureACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Are you raising capital because the business is ready, or because the pressure feels urgent?✨ Where does your company need more discipline before more money?✨ What risks need to be disclosed before they become liabilities?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/businessmanathletemarine/🌐 https://www.paulclaxton.io/💭 What changes when capital is deployed with discipline, not hype?If something is shifting in your business, leadership, investment or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenvc #venturecapital #founderreadiness #duediligence #ainative #startupfounder #discipline

The matriarchal Eeconomy | Power, identity & regenerative business | Lindsay LaShell
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Lindsay LaShell, Founder and Lead Navigator of Buffalo Collective, to explore life, leadership, regenerative business, matriarchal economics, integrated leadership and what's possible when business is rebuilt from relationship rather than extraction.Lindsay describes herself as a doula for the matriarchal economy, her work challenges the idea that professionalism, finance, leadership and business systems are neutral, asking instead who they were built to serve, who they continue to protect and what needs to be reshaped if we want businesses that are more human, regenerative and alive. We spoke about power, not as something to avoid, instead as something that can be used with more ethics, care, clarity and shared purpose. Lindsay challenged the old dynamics of leadership, delegation, sales and finance, showing how many of the systems we accept as “just business” are actually built on extraction, control and scarcity. We discussed the difference between sustainability and regeneration, why business needs to be treated as a living system, and how abundance changes the way we think about value, growth, capital and relationships.Lindsay also shared the thinking behind her work on regenerative term sheets, including business finance models that protect the founder, the business and the investor rather than prioritising extraction or exit above all else.We reflected on what it means to stop shrinking big ideas, especially as a woman, and to build from the wholeness of lived experience, values, power and purpose. I loved this: “Pretending not to have big crazy ideas actually was a lot harder.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from business as extraction towards business as regeneration, relationship and integrated leadership. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that business systems are neutral✨ The assumption that professionalism requires separation from self✨ The idea that finance should prioritise extraction, control or exit above missionUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine power as something that can be wielded with care and shared purpose✨ Create business models built from abundance, reciprocity and regeneration✨ Reshape leadership around integration, not performanceRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Build practical systems that reflect regenerative values✨ Treat the business as a living system, not just a vehicle for return✨ Lead from wholeness, identity and relationshipACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Where are you separating who you are from how you lead?✨ What parts of your business are still built on extraction rather than regeneration?✨ How might your leadership change if power became something to steward, not suppress?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/lindsaylashell/🌐 https://buffalocollective.co/💭 What becomes possible when business is rebuilt from relationship rather than extraction? If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift Diagnostic:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapeshiftdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #regenerativebusiness #matriarchaleconomy #integratedleadership

Rethinking meritocracy | Human contribution & collective success | Jacob Chase
In this episode of the Bee Formless™ Flow Driven CEO Podcast, I connected with Jacob Chase, Founder and CEO of The INFIN, to explore life, leadership, human contribution, meritocracy, performance, value creation and what happens when the people creating real value inside organisations remain unseen. After building a real estate business with more than 100 people, Jacob became increasingly interested in a question most organisations struggle to answer: how do we actually recognise who is creating value? That question became the foundation for The INFIN, the belief that individual success and collective success should not sit in opposition.Through The INFIN, he is building a system designed to help companies better understand human contribution in real time, not through outdated performance reviews, politics or top-down scoring, instead a more decentralised view of how people experience contribution across a team.We discussed traditional performance systems and how often they miss the people who make organisations better, how value can become distorted when assessment sits only with leadership, and why the most important contributors are not always the loudest, most visible or most senior.Jacob shared how the idea began in his real estate company, when a lower-level team member was contributing far beyond what the market said his role was worth. That moment opened a much bigger question around how organisations reward service, recognise trust and connect human performance to business success.I loved Jacob's founder share.. “Some ideas just don’t let you go.”THE SHAPE SHIFT IN MOTIONAt the heart of this conversation was a shift from performance as top-down assessment towards contribution as something more human, visible and collective. This is how that shift unfolded through the Bee Formless™ methodology:LEARN (LETTING GO)✨ The belief that performance can be fully understood from the top down✨ The assumption that job title, salary or visibility always reflect real contribution✨ The idea that individual success and collective success are separateUNLEARN (CREATE, REIMAGINE & RESHAPE)✨ Reimagine value as something created through contribution, service and trust✨ Create more visibility around who is actually strengthening the organisation✨ Reshape meritocracy around behaviours that support collective successRELEARN (TEST & IMPLEMENT)✨ Use decentralised insight to understand performance more clearly✨ Recognise the invisible contributors before they become flight risks✨ Build systems where the best way to serve yourself is by serving othersACTIVE RECOVERY (REFLECT & RESET)✨ Who is creating value in your organisation that may not yet be visible?✨ Where are old performance systems rewarding politics over contribution?✨ How might your business change if human contribution became easier to see?🔗 https://www.linkedin.com/in/jacobdchase/🌐 https://www.theinfin.com/💭 What changes when the people creating real value inside organisations finally become visible? If something is shifting in your business, leadership or growth journey, start with a Strategic Shape Shift:https://calendly.com/beeformless/strategicshapefitdiagnostic#beeformless #flowdrivenceo #founderjourney #contribution #meritocracy #futureofwork #performance #valuecreation #people
