To celebrate Bret 'The Hitman' Hart's 69th Birthday, Jay Dawg decided to look back on Hart's WCW in-ring debut, as The Hitman took on 'Nature Boy' Ric Flair at WCW 'Souled Out' from 1998.

It came down to a coin toss to decide this one for 'Jay Dawg's Boxing Bout' for June 2026.  Roberto Duran, on his comeback in 1981, took on Luigi Minchillo, known as 'The Italian Warrior' in his American debut.  Jay Dawg looks back on this Super Welterweight fight, which took place outdoors in Las Vegas in late September of '81. 

We've reached 100 editions of The Playback!  In this edition, it's 'Jay Dawg's Wrestling Match of the Month' for June 2026.  WWE World Heavyweight Champ Roman Reigns took on his former Shield brother in Seth Rollins at WWE Money In The Bank 2016. 

It was in 1998 than Mankind took a leap that nobody else was willing to; get thrown almost 20 feet off a cage!  He did that against his nemesis, The Undertaker at King of the Ring in the Hell In A Cell match.  Jay Dawg looks back at this iconic WWE match. 

It's all about the future in this edition.  WNBA, MLB, NHL, NBA, World Cup and NFL. WNBA and MLB rankings as well.  Time to go back....to the future! 

Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals was going to crown a first-time champ in the Association.  Would it be the Indiana Pacers, who nobody expected?  Or would it be the Oklahoma City Thunder?  Jay Dawg looks back at this one. 

The last Stanley Cup Final game on The Playback in 2026.  What a Game it is.  Game 7 of the 2006 Stanley Cup Final, as the Edmonton Oilers (who were the 8th seed) took on the mighty Carolina Hurricanes in North Carolina. 

The Dad's Day 2026 edition has quite a lot to discuss-like the aftermath of the 2026 NBA Finals, the 2026 Stanley Cup Final, upcoming NBA Draft, NASCAR is Cali, Doc from Frank FM and The Bone with a US Open update in Golf, WNBA and MLB rankings with slates! 

In one of the greatest games of the not just the 21st Century, but all time, it's Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals.  The Cleveland Cavaliers look to win the first title in franchise history, the Golden State Warriors had 73 regular season wins, and look to top the 1996 Bulls 72 wins and a title.  Jay Dawg looks back fondly on this one. 

A milestone edition of The Playback, as The Mechanic, Don Sutton looks to win his 300th career Major League game.  His Angels hosted the Texas Rangers in SoCal back in late June of 1986.  Jay Dawg looks back. 

It's the 1990's so you know what that means; the Chicago Bulls are going to announce their presence with authority.  The Seattle SuperSonics (who are coming back to the NBA in 2028), faced Da Bulls in the 1996 NBA Finals.  It's Game 6, as Jay Dawg looks back, as he was in his first year as a teenager then. 

Another Game 7 on The Playback.  This time, it's the 2011 Stanley Cup Final, as the Boston Bruins took on the Vancouver Canucks in The Couve.  Jay Dawg was in his late 20's when this one was played.  He looks back on this classic. 

The Pittsburgh Penguins look to hoist the Stanley Cup for a fourth time in franchise history. In the way-the San Jose Sharks, who in 25 seasons are in the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in franchise history.  Jay Dawg looks back on Game 6 of the 2016 Stanley Cup Final. 

The World Cup edition of Bet THIS! along with the United Cup for the UFL, WNBA rankings, MLB rankings and slate, UFC Freedom 250, NASCAR in the Poconos, NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Final. 

A new era in the NBA heading into the 1990's, as the Chicago Bulls made the debut trip to the NBA Finals, taking on a legacy franchise in the Los Angeles Lakers. It's Game 5 of the 1991 NBA Finals from Inglewood, California. Jay Dawg looks back on this one. 

The New Jersey Devils were looking to repeat as Cup champs; in the way was the Colorado Avalanche, with Ray Bourque looking to win his first Stanley Cup in his accomplished 22-year career. Jay Dawg looks back fondly on this classic, the first Game 7 in hockey on The Playback! 

The 1986 Boston Celtics are called by some as the greatest team to ever step foot on a basketball court, but they needed to prove that in Game 6 of the 1986 NBA Finals against a tough Houston Rockets team with the original twin towers (Akeem Olajuwon and Ralph Sampson). Can the C's bring title #16 to the Garden? Jay Dawg looks back on this classic.

The first NHL game on The Playback is Game 6 of the 1991 Stanley Cup Finals, as the Pittsburgh Penguins faced the Minnesota North Stars in Minny! Pittsburgh led the series 3 games to 2.

Jay Dawg's Boxing Bout of the Month for May 2026 is More Than Personal!  Roy Jones Jr. puts his titles on the line against 'The Magic Man' Antonio Tarver in the second of three fights they had.  From 2004. 

Jay Dawg's Wrestling Match of the Month for May 2026 is WWE WHC CM Punk taking on Batista at the Great American Bash from 2008. 

In this edition, it's all about the ladies...for hoops, that is. WNBA is back.  Plus, futures on the 30th season of the Dub, PGA Championship preview with Doc from Frank FM and The Bone, also MLB and MLS rankings and weekend slate, UFL picks, NBA Playoffs, Stanley Cup Playoffs and NFL Sked outlook. 

For one night in 1981, Len Barker and the city of Cleveland were perfect!  Cleveland hosted the Toronto Blue Jays in front of less than 10,000 folks in The Land.  At press time, the last no-hitter thrown by a Cleveland pitcher. 

It's Game 6 of the 1981 NBA Finals, as the Boston Celtics took on the Houston Rockets, as The Playback brings NBA Hoops into the fold.  More games to come in June.  Enjoy!

Mad Max makes history!  His old team in the Detroit Tigers, took on his Washington Nationals in the District back in 2016.  Jay Dawg looks back on this historic game.

The Mother's Day 2026 edition of Bet THIS! contains NBA Playoffs, Stanley Cup Playoffs, MLB and MLS rankings and slates, WNBA is back, NASCAR in New York and UFC 328. 

Eventual Hall-of-Famer Justin Verlander tossed his first no-hitter in 2007.  Nearly four years later, JV does it again!  Jay Dawg looks back on the second no-no from Verlander, as his Tigers took on the Toronto Blue Jays from 2011. 

In this edition, Minnesota Twins southpaw Francisco Liriano had never tossed a complete game in any level of his career.  The 27-year old was in the cold of the South Side of Chicago, taking on the White Sox in early May 2011, looking to make history!

Welcome to May! It was on this date 35 years ago back in 1991, Nolan Ryan tossed his 7th career No-Hitter!  Jay Dawg looks back on the historic night, as the Ryan Express was rolling in Arlington, Texas. Rangers hosted Toronto Blue Jays. 

In this edition of The Playback, the Rocket has launched!  Roger Clemens tosses his first 20K game, as the Boston Red Sox hosted the Seattle Mariners back in 1986.  Jay Dawg (who was 3 at the time), looks back on this historic game. 

Raging Bowe!  Riddick 'Big Daddy' Bowe was away from the ring for nearly a year (a bout of sparring injuries curtailed his comebacks), in comes undefeated Buster Mathis, Jr. It's Jay Dawg's Boxing Bout of the Month for April 2026.  Dawg looks back on this fight from the summer of 1994. 

A new era began on the South Side of Chicago; the new Comiskey Park opened in 1991 to positive fanfare, as the Chicago White Sox hosted the Detroit Tigers. Jay Dawg looks back on this game, which happened 35 years ago!

Mania Week concludes with a match Jay Dawg was at; WWE WrestleMania XL Sunday's Main Event. It was a Bloodline Rules Match between WWE Undisputed Universal champ Roman Reigns taking on Cody Rhodes in Philly from 2024! 

The Main Event of Night 1 of WWE WrestleMania 37 in Tampa back in 2021 was a history-making one.  WWE Smackdown Women's Champ Sasha Banks took on Bianca Belair, and Jay Dawg was there!  He talks about the mood, the moment and the overall spectacle that is WrestleMania! 

The Ultimate Challenge! WWE Champ Hulk Hogan battled WWE Intercontinental Champ The Ultimate Warrior at the Main Event of WWE WrestleMania VI, back in 1990.  Jay Dawg looks back fondly on this one, as Champion vs. Champion duked it out in Toronto!

Becky Lynch stunned the world in a short amount of time in 2021 when she returned to WWE.  Defeating Bianca Belair as a mystery opponent at WWE SummerSlam, she started to get a tad cocky.  Then, diabolical, as The Man was now Big Time Becks.  A heel, now facing Bianca Belair with Lynch's WWE Raw Women's title on the line at WWE WrestleMania 38 Saturday.  Jay Dawg looks back on this classic from 2022. 

Tables! Ladders! Chairs! Oh my!  Just when you think the magic can't happen again at WrestleMania, the Tag Team champion Dudley Boys, the Hardy Boyz as well as Edge & Christian put on an even better match than the year before!  It's TLC II from WWE WrestleMania 17 back in 2001, as Mania Week rolls on The Playback with Jay Dawg! 

#42 is worn by all currently playing Major League Baseball.  CJ and Jay Dawg talk about that, Jackie Robinson's legacy and MLB futures in this special edition. 

Mania Week continues on The Playback!  In this edition, Jay Dawg looks back on The Undertaker vs. Triple H in a No Holds Barred Match at WWE WrestleMania XXVII back in 2011.  This is a WrestleMania XVII rematch, as The Deadman faces The Game, and why does Jay Dawg think this rematch is the best of the eventual trilogy?

It's Mania Week on The Playback!  For seven days, a classic WrestleMania match will be featured.  In the first edition, WWE SmackDown Women's Champ Charlotte Flair faced Rhea Ripley at WWE WrestleMania 39 Saturday, from 2023!  Jay Dawg looks back at this classic. 

In this edition, a game Jay Dawg was actually at!  The defendining AL Champ Tampa Bay Rays hosted the Texas Rangers in April of 2021.  Dawg looks back on this game, as this was his first time not being in Cleveland or Boston for a Major League Baseball game. 

A Masterful edition of Bet THIS! Jay Dawg is back from Cleveland, The Masters begins, NBA and NHL wind the regular season down, March Madness is done, MLS and MLB rankings and slate of games and matches, NASCAR is back in Bristol as well as a special guest talking about A Tradition Unlike Any Other.

A new ballpark in The Lou!  The St. Louis Cardinals opened the new Busch Stadium in 2006 against the NL Central rival Milwaukee Brewers. Jay Dawg looks back, as he was 23 when the new ballyard opened.

Let's hear two!  Java Joe Musgrove (a San Diego native) of the San Diego Padres made history in Arlington, Texas in 2021 for the Friars against the Texas Rangers.  Jay Dawg looks back.
