For people with type 2 diabetes, or T2D, and excess weight, their experiences with seeking care can often involve experiences of weight bias and weight stigma. In these episodes, we will discuss how these biases may impact a person’s treatment journey and even treatment outcomes. We will also discuss ways that healthcare professionals and people with T2D and excess weight can have more effective weight management conversations during clinical interactions.
