OZONE DEPLETIONBurned, But Not Consumed As with the rest of the judgments scattered through this Apocalypse, there is no credible reason to discount this one as merely symbolic. Knowledge of our surroundings, including our solar system, our galaxy, and the entire universe has increased tremendously within the past 106 years (as of 11/05/06). Our sun, not unlike the 300 billion other suns (called stars) in this galaxy alone is known to be a thermo-nuclear, pressure-cooking dynamo. This is true as well of the hundreds of billions on average found in the hundreds of billions of galaxies throughout the known universe. That is, our sun produces energy in its pressure packed core of roughly 230 thousand miles diameter under unimaginable pressure (340 billion times that of the earth’s 14psi, at sea level, to be exact!) by forcing a collision between deuterium and tritium atoms to produce an explosion that releases an even higher level of energy (these atoms are hydrogen derivatives or isotopes, having one proton but one and two neutrons respectively, as opposed to ordinary hydrogen, which has no neutrons.). This collision causes an explosion, followed by a release of energy in the form of dangerous and deadly gamma radiation (leaving the sun’s center supercharged at around 27 million degrees F). It has been suggested that the sun has been so constructed that it takes these gamma rays the equivalent of roughly two million years to migrate from the sun’s core, through its approximately 330 thousand miles of radiation and convection zones, to reach the surface of the sun (having been downgraded in strength along the way from gamma, to x-rays, to ultraviolet light), where it leaves on its 8 minute, 93,000,000 mile journey (at 186 thousand miles per second) to our earth, in the two energy forms we know as visible light and heat—each critical to life on earth. Thankfully, the sun’s gamma radiation, as such, never reaches the earth. If it did, it would instantly destroy and vaporize the entire planet. Rather, having been substantially cooled, what began as extremely high frequency, exceedingly high energy, lethal gamma rays leave the sun’s outer surface as electromagnetic energy in at least three distinct frequency ranges. Visible light, that range of electromagnetic frequencies which allows us to see, and infrared energy (those frequencies just below those of visible light, which account for the heat we need to survive) comprising two of those ranges, ultraviolet radiation is the third.

Mark Of The Beast & RFID People Control: The Need & The MeansThe idea being espoused here relative to fire from the sky, the image of the beast and now his mark is one of people control. At this point, the beast and those under him will have survived two major conflicts/wars—one global—and many catastrophes, including severe food and crippling fuel shortages, only to face yet more prevailing deep depression and deprivation due to immense, unavoidable social, economic and political unrest. If he is to have any chance of success in bringing some semblance of order into this otherwise hopeless (and Hopeless!), chaotic situation, in addition to gaining their confidence and trust, the beast will realize that he must also affect some sort of a system of control over those under his domination. In addition to an easily implementable threat, and a central point of focus, common to the eyes of all, key to this system will be the need to spontaneously locate, identify, and track each and every man, woman and child living on the earth, during those days, as he simultaneously regulates and controls everything they need for sustenance. “Rationing” of everything—particularly food and fuel—will be critical to the survival of humanity, as with so many key men and women dead or missing, God will not allow time for a resurgence to pre-tribulation levels (His objective will be to “…shake the sugar tree…” as it were, until the very last fruit of the most stubborn of lost souls fall, then, close the curtain.). The aftermath of the Haitian and Chilean earthquakes of several years ago gave the world a glimpse of the kind of mob-mentality that will fuel hotspots of unrest that will in turn have to be located quickly, identified and managed into submission during these days of deep desperation. But how does he do that? An effective system of management of all that remains—including people—will be a matter of highest priority. Realizing the troubles the US phone companies faced not so many years ago inventing new numbers for a growing demand when the population was then well under 300 million, how will this beast supply numbers to a world population which may still stand at in excess of 2 to 4 billion souls—even after having suffered heavy, extraordinary losses due to both the rapture and death from many causes?

HUMANOID ROBOTS, PEOPLE CONTROL/TRACKINGFire-breathing Skies: The Beast and Space Lasers An intelligent image of one called the “beast” that talks and is able to give life-changing instructions, issuing life-threatening edicts, while his “prime minister” backs him up by commanding fire from the skies; people-tracking systems that allow for precise monitoring of one’s every move, in any location, worldwide: sound far-fetched? For some living today, it might be mind-boggling to think that back of forty to fifty years ago—before Steve Jobs and Bill Gates; before micro-chips or transistors—either scenario would have been just that, farfetched. Neither was much more than the stuff of good science fiction. As of the early 20th century, even science fiction as we know it, had barely been born. No such things were even remotely realizable. Like most everything else we, particularly in America, so take for granted today, neither had the slightest basis in reality. As with all things biblically prophetic, the prospect of ‘fire from the skies’ (other than lightning) must seem remote at best to most people today—even in America, the industrial capital of the world; land of all things new and innovative. It was a thought hopelessly inconceivable two thousand years ago, when the prophecy was first issued. Man, summoning fire from the heavens (!)? Yet, the Bible declares in no uncertain terms that he will, regardless of whether in the end, that feat is man-made, or, supernatural through the auspices of his hands. So, the question is, how might that deed be achieved? John the Revelator’s vision aside, men, other than the Bible’s prophets, began to dream of the killing potential in fire from the skies about sixty plus years ago (as of approx. / /2010). Their hopes were supported and buoyed in part by the physics of an Einsteinian understanding of light. From start to the present, the base ingredient to making it all a reality, however, was termed an “elusive technology”. Like the thermo-baric weapons which make the killing potential in John’s vision of the kings of the east possible, and the thermo-nuclear technology which will make the downfall of America possible in under one hour, so likewise the sequence and series of technological advances necessary to make this a reality from man’s point of view has only recently begun to take shape. From humble beginnings in 1960 (at the Hughes Research Lab., in Malibu, CA), for years thereafter the stuff only of pipe dreams (showing no real “wartime” promise) battle-grade “fire”-producing weapons technology (such as John envisions) is no longer elusive. It is now both viable and quite deadly—as expected—and as such, a scorching reality.

DANIEL 7 Daniel’s Dream Daniel is now an old man, having been in Babylonian captivity with his people for nearly 70 years. He came when he was a very young man, perhaps in his late teens, early twenties. Daniel has been a valued, and trustworthy servant of the Lord all those years, every step of the way. God has used him mightily before the arrogant, self-serving king Nebuchadnezzar, who affected the Babylonian deportation of the Jews, and is poised to do so now in the presence of the king’s co-regent, wicked son Belshazzar (in this, his first year on the job). The dream that God has given this ancient prophet Daniel, is as troubling to him as it is far reaching. As prophecy, it is chiefly a portrayal of things to come. The scope of the vision stretches from the ‘then’ current kingdom, pass the three which will succeed it…Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome…across and beyond two thousand years, across our day to and through the Apocalypse, the beast, and Armageddon, right into the lap of the second coming of the Messiah, just before the one-thousand-year Rule. It is, one might say, the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ summed up and written in advance (by almost 2500 years), in this one chapter of Daniel. We may also conclude, furthermore, that it is perhaps the second in a series of pieces to the end times puzzle of how God intends to bring history and time as we know them to a close—a much younger contemporary and fellow captive named Ezekiel the priest/prophet providing the first, followed by an even younger Zachariah, who gives a highly charged and explosive view of life’s closing moments.

CHAPTER 22A New Dawn In God’s Old Eternity Heaven-on-Earth The Pure River: Water of Life Chapter 22, Verse 1 And he showed me a pure river of Water of Life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. Continuing in his survey of the New Jerusalem, as led and conducted by the angel sent from God, John’s old eyes are drawn to a River of crystal-clear water, that flows directly from the Thrones of both God the Father and of God the Son. The Source of this water makes plain that this is not just any water, nor is it in any way commonplace. They are not ordinary, in any sense that we might think. Potable, though they may well be, in some sense of the word, they are not intended for drinking, or, for washing of the physical body, strictly speaking. Nothing will grow in these waters, yet, John says, they are the Waters of Life, inferring, given the circumstance, that they are critical to the acquisition of life eternal—for some. Thus, these waters are more than likely primarily symbolic of the eternal Presence of the Holy Spirit of God, by means of whom all saints will be given eternal life, on behalf of and in the interest of the Son (consider John 3:3, 5; 4:10, 14; 7:37-39). In this case, it appears that those for whom these waters are intended may be limited to those saints born again or saved during the tribulation (and, their multitudes of descendants born throughout the Millennium, Jews and Gentiles), certified righteous, justified but (like Adam before the fall, Genesis 3:22-24) not yet endowed with the permanent indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit—as will be the pre-tribulation saints. The Tree of Life Verse 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the Tree of Life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. The next sight to catch John’s attention is the Tree of Life. It will be located in the middle of the main street of gold that runs through the City, as well as on either side of the River of Life. As it yields twelve types of fruit each month, its leaves will be for the healing of the nations (of all saints). It is not altogether clear as to who is envisioned here in the term “nations”. As stated above, however, it does seem rational to assume that since the saints born before the Great Tribulation Period already have the righteousness of Christ permanently bestowed upon them (19:4-9), that by virtue of the Spirit of God actively resident within them, there would then be no reason why this scenario should be applicable to them. Thus, certainly they are excluded. On the other hand, of the Jews who survive the Tribulation period, this will not be true. Nor will it be true of those tribulation saints murdered for their faith and raised to newness of life, after that terrible time of hell on earth.

Side BarBride Of Christ/Wife Of The LambSticks and Stones, with Streets of Gold? Is it the Body of Christ (made up of all the saints, from all the ages), or is she the city, the New Jerusalem (a literal city in Heaven)? Young Mr. K. C. Price Jr. spent several Sundays developing his thesis and proclaiming his point. It seems that Mr. Price has some serious issues, axes to grind and bones to pick, with any and all who take the position such that the bride of Christ mentioned in the Lord’s Revelation to the apostle John might be in any wise the church, or Christians. According to him, the bride of the Christ/wife of the Lamb is the New Jerusalem. Is it? Really?! A stone cold, heartless, lifeless collection of Heaven-built buildings and streets paved with ‘see-through’ gold?! Is that actually what God has been waiting an eternity to cozy up to, and spend the next eternity in a relationship with?! Is it rational to think that He sent His only begotten Son to die on a cross among men, to perpetuate such a thing? Does it seem rational in light of the costs (the drama and the trauma) associated with the Apocalypse? I should think not! Metaphor: the use of words or phrases with reference to someone or something, never literally, as rather the intent is to draw a comparison; any use of figurative or symbolic language not intended to literally portray actual or real things; using or considering one to be representative of another (from the Encarta World English Dictionary). It appears that, in doing his preparation for his sermon project, Mr. Price may have been less than thorough in his research. In his dissertation, he spent a colossal amount of time ranting and pounding out his thesis to the affect that a non-living “thing” is to be the Bride of Christ, not the saints (Jews and/or Gentiles). The text for his sermon was of course centered here in Revelation 21, with a botched effort to weed in corroborating evidences from elsewhere, including his own weak understanding. One of the first things he should have noticed is that the entire Book of the Revelation is heavily (although not altogether) metaphorical. Moreover, had he been the astute student of the scriptures he should have been, before entering the ministry (certainly after graduation from seminary, and, with a well-known preacher as his father/mentor), he would have not failed to realize that our God is a Master of metaphor. His word the Bible is replete with them from cover to cover. Thus, one of the first things of which this exuberant, neophyte preacher should have been fully apprised of (and contrary to his line of reasoning) is that the normal, usual usage and meaning of any given term does not necessarily depict or dictate, nor does it at all limit, confine or otherwise define God’s metaphorical intent or, usage of that term! Had He been using the term the way it was ordinarily intended, it would no longer have been a metaphor. Hence, to reiterate, as all serious students of Holy Writ are well aware (assuming you have walked with Him regularly, and/or systematically), God is well rehearsed, in which case He knows all about the use of metaphors. Therefore, when He chooses to express Himself through the use of figures of speech, one need not always look to Webster’s (or, Greek/Hebrew Lexicons), as much as to His own word (our only, and requisite window into the mind of God, aided by the guidance of His Holy Spirit), in order to ascertain the point the Lord wishes to convey.

The New Heaven And The New Earth Chapter 21, Verse 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. In keeping with God’s promise to “…make all things new…” (21:5) and with Jesus’ promise that while His words would never depart, “…heaven and earth will pass away…” (Matthew 24:35), John stood watching, as a New Heaven and a New Earth were unveiled. The old earth and the old heaven in/under which we now live will have vanished, as foretold, at the Great White Throne Judgment, after all the sinners were resurrected and accounted for. It was never intended that this world in which we live should continue forever. “You have laid the foundation of the earth formerly (in eternity past)”, the Psalmist writes, “and the heavens are also the work of Your Hands, yet, both of them will perish, while You endure; yes, each of them will grow old, like a garment; like a vessel, You will change them, and they will be changed…” (Ps. 102:25-27). “Look, observe and consider attentively!” Isaiah the prophet writes, quoting the Almighty, “I create new heavens, and a new earth; and the first will not be remembered—ever—never coming to mind again…the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will remain before Me, says the Lord…” (Isaiah 65:17; 66:22). Furthermore, while the nature and structure of the present heaven and earth are such that they could continue virtually indefinitely (Psalm 78:69) “…the heaven will vanish like smoke, and the earth will grow old like clothing, while those who live in it will die in similar fashion…” (Isaiah 51:6). It should be noted and remembered that whatever the heaven’s and the earth’s capacity for aging, neither will be allowed to continue to reach its full potential in terms of age. The earth will be inhabited right up to the end of the Millennium, to the Great White Throne Judgment and the resurrection of the very last sinner, before it finally disappears, forever. In fact, truth is, our current heaven and earth will be in better shape than ever, at the end of the Millennium, when they are finally discarded at the coming of the Great White Throne Judgments. Interestingly, while this is not to imply that there will be no water at all on the New Earth, necessarily, John could not but observe that there will be no sea upon the face of the New Earth (he may well have been awe struck at the sight!). That is—or so it appears, at least—this new terrestrial facility will not have a surface which is 75% covered—as is our world now—by water. On the other hand, given that the sea in OT thought was often symbolic of discontentment and restlessness among the masses of humanity, the absence of any sea no doubt is also emblematic of the absence of unrest, strife, division and dissatisfaction—in spite of all the different nationalities and cultures, and personalities endemic to both. Verse 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

The Second Resurrection The Great White Throne: Sinners Judged Verse 11 (see also chapter 21, verse 1) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. After the sentencing of the devil, John’s focus shifted, as his attention was then drawn to The Great White Throne, and to Him who sat upon it. It is here that the fourth and last judgment, following the fourth and final resurrection (that of sinners, the wicked, the Christ haters and rejecters) will take place. In God’s reckoning, only the resurrection to life eternal and the resurrection to eternal damnation matter, at the end of the day. Thus, by His count, there is only two: This is the second (the first included all the saints raised and raptured before the apocalypse begins and those raised at the end of the tribulation period.). At the appearance of the One seated upon that Throne, the heaven and the earth will flee, or vanish. Evidently, this act will be indicative of the austerity, and seriousness of the occasion at hand. It also signifies the, shall we say, eternality of the man being as a whole, a complete composite creature (of physical body, and invisible spirit/soul), as he will at this point not only not have, but he will no longer require, or be dependent upon the earth and its protective biosphere/ecosystem for sustenance. In addition, and in affirmation that righteous man’s next habitat will not be renovations of the old, we are told that the New Heaven and the New Earth will be characterized by the absence of any ocean—i.e., it will have no sea, or other large body of water (21:1). The Dead And The BooksVerse 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. Verse 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. Then, John saw the fruit of what will be the last resurrection, as those who had remained dead for the one thousand years, will be brought back to life so as to stand before God. In this case, God (the One seated upon the Throne) is the Son. That is, He is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, per the will and fore plan of the Father. “…For the Father is going to judge no one, insofar as, He has delegated that authority to the Son… (John 5:22, 27)”, Jesus told an already bitterly angry, hostile crowd of Jews who wanted to kill Him, then and there. Standing on Mars’ hill, preaching to the pagans of Athens, Greece, Paul the apostle confirmed the Lord’s words by noting that whereas “…in the past, God ignored men’s ignorance concerning Himself, He now commands that all men everywhere should repent: this, because He has established and set aside a day in which the world will be judged righteously by that Man whom He has ordained; of Whom He has given assurance (of this fact) to men, inasmuch as, He has raised Him (Jesus Christ) from the dead…

The First Resurrection Chapter 20, Verse 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Verse 4a And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: After witnessing the binding and imprisonment of the enemy of our souls, John studied more of the scenes unfolding before him, whereupon, he saw two distinct groups of people, each distinguished from the other by a specific criterion: That is, whereas one group sat upon thrones and were granted the privilege and responsibility to judge, the other group was recognizable as victims who lost their lives at the hands of the beast, having been killed for their faith in Christ, on account of which faith they refused to worship the beast. Looking forward to the day of the group sitting upon the thrones, Paul, in his exasperation with the un-Christian like conduct of the saints among the Corinthians is known to have exclaimed: “…do you not know that saints will one day judge the world?” (1 Corinthians 6:2). Jesus promised the apostles that they would be seated upon twelve thrones, next to Him ruling over the twelve tribes of Israel, in His Kingdom. The churches (specifically, but not exclusively, Thyatira) were guaranteed “…power over the nations: and he will rule over them with a rod of iron, so that like a potter’s vessels, they will be broken to pieces, just as I will be permitted to do by God My Father” (2:26, 27). Moreover, in response to His salutation and opening remarks to the churches, at the beginning of the Apocalypse, John returned praise and adoration, acknowledging that “…all whom He (the Lord Jesus) loves, He has washed clean from all their (our) sins by His blood, and has made us to be kings and priests to God, who is also His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen” (1:5, 6). This same theme is repeated by the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders when the Lamb, having been identified and singled out as the only One worthy, came and took the Scroll out of the hand of His Father, seated upon the throne, at which sight they fell down and worshipped before Him, each with a harp and bowls of incense (representing the prayers of all the saints), singing to Him a new song: “…You are worthy to take the Scroll and to open its seals; for, having been slain You have redeemed us by Your blood from all the nations and people and language groups all around the world; and, You have made us to be kings and priests, in which case we shall rule on the earth” (5:1-10). For these reasons, then, we can safely conclude that those whom John saw seated upon the thrones ready to do judgment are, on the one hand, none other than the pre-Apocalypse saints, the ones who rode, or, will ride back to earth with Him into the Battle of Armageddon (Rev. 19:4, 10, 14; it will be kind of difficult to attend a Heavenly banquet, etc., and come back with the Lord, if we are not and have not been there already, to begin with!).

Of God Almighty, The Son At this juncture, another successful mission will have been accomplished; the fighting (in terms of actual battles between Creator and creatures) will have ceased, the birds (vultures and other scavengerous birds of prey) will have had their fill of whatever flesh will be left following the Lord’s Day of slaughter—while 1000 years of a mix of bliss and cold war linger in the wings. Satan’s Incarceration Chapter 20, Verse 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. Verse 2, And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, Verse 3, And threw him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. To inaugurate the Millennial Reign, John watches as an angel descends from Heaven carrying a great chain and having in his hand the key to the abyss (the bottomless pit, from which the creatures called locusts, and the ‘beast’ will have ascended earlier in the Apocalypse). This angel proceeded to lay hold of the dragon (Rev. 12:3, 4, 7-9), also known variously as the serpent of old, the devil and as Satan, binding him with the chain in his hand. He will then take Satan, and throw him bound into the abyss, where he will remain for the duration of the Millennium (the 1000 Year period in which Christ will lead the world, on earth, from Jerusalem!). In this capacity, he will not be able to influence the nations anymore, at all, to any degree (rebel human souls a-plenty, notwithstanding!), until the one thousand years are ended. Also, in this capacity, the rebel nature of men over which the Christ and His saints will rule with “…rods of iron…” (19:15), cannot be blamed on him (no one will be able to say, “the devil made me do it!”). There will be no residual effects of his influence to contend with, as the incarceration will affect a sealed environment, creating a barrier of isolation, which will completely isolate man from the devil’s reach and leading (this means that his demonic forces will also be shut down; humanity’s natural rebel nature will be open and above board, albeit, constrained, absolutely unable to express itself in the least). Thus, the active Millennium rebellion will be purely man-centered—that is, it will be powered and sustained for one thousand years solely by the stubborn, unrepentant, unyielding spirit of man’s unaided will. Why a Thousand Years? But one may well be wondering, why the Millennium? What is the purpose? What is the point? Why must the devil be imprisoned for that long, and why must the Christ rule the world for precisely that amount of time? Both rebel man and rebel demon having been vanquished and subdued, why not just throw them all into hellfire and brimstone, and move from here on into a period of white clouds, harps and eternal bliss, leaving bygones, to be bygones? In the absence of any “official” argument for the Millennium, one might consider the following:

The Killing Field: Where Lamb and Lambs Fight like Lions The battle being set in array, the best that the beast and his forces can ever hope to accomplish having been done (it appears that, for the ‘heck of it’, they may be given the benefit of a preemptive first strike, as it were; hence, the aforementioned nuke winter!), He who was formerly slain like a lamb, as the Lamb, will then commence His duties with the fierceness of an angry Lion (from Judah), racking up huge casualties as Judge, Jury and Executioner. In a literally blistering counterattack, He will “…tread the winepress which is the fierce anger and wrath of God the Almighty. He will strike and kill with a sharp sword, which protrudes from His mouth—i.e., He being God Almighty Himself (but not the Father, rather, on behalf of the Father), will slaughter these His enemies merely by His utterance, administering death solely by His speech. His identity will be written both upon His robe and upon His thigh, for He is KING OF ALL KINGS, AND LORD OF ALL LORDS (19:15, 16)”. Of all that God will have done up to this point, it might be said that—whatever the degree of suffering and pain—He has been largely gentle and kind in His dealings with man. Here, however, His attacks will be decidedly brutal, and relentless. Chapter 19, Verse 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that worked miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a Lake of Fire burning with brimstone. As the drama of this the world’s final battle unfolds, now in earnest, the first order of business on the agenda for the Lion of Judah, is the decommissioning of the beast and his false prophet. Their judgment will be as swift as it will be merciless. There will be no great White Throne appearances for them—not even! There will be no occasion for excuses from them. Although they will be men, like the rest of us, they will never experience death (actually, the beast will have already died once). Unlike the rest of fallen mankind (who will be given space to plead their cases—to no avail—in a cause where there is no hope for them; not even the slightest), no further consideration will be allowed in their cases. God Almighty will show them no mercy; He will never hear their pleas for clemency, as He orders that they be thrown, alive, directly into the Lake of Fire burning with the eternal flames of yellow sulfur (brimstone is sulfur). This move facilitates several things: 1) it exposes the utter helplessness of the beast and his false prophet, even with the full support of the devil himself behind them, 2) it exposes the utter powerlessness of Satan to save or to rescue anyone, much less his own, 3) it cuts off Satan’s direct channels of communication with humanity, as he can only now stand by and watch, 4) it exposes the Almighty to the full wrath of man, who, being thus deprived, is now left at the mercy of the strength and genius of his own futility and folly, as he pits, effectively, not much more than his frustration against the Supreme wrath and righteous indignation of his Maker. Verse 21, And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

The Great Day of GodJudgment Day Chapter 19, Verse 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. Matthew Chapter 24, Verse 27 For as the lightning comes out of the east, and shines even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24, 28 For wheresoever the carcass is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Matthew 24, 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Matthew 24, 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. It should be duly noted that when the Lord Jesus Christ comes again, He will not come alone. He will be accompanied by a heavenly army comprised of glorified saints, who are the “called, and faithful, and the chosen” (per Rev. 17:14; 19:14). That is, these armies of Heaven will be comprised of Christians, which in turn means that they will have to have been resurrected and in Heaven throughout the Apocalypse period, so as to come again with Him. Specifically, they will be the 24 Elders who first appear in Rev. 5:8-10, and who are shown repeatedly in Heaven, around God’s Throne, falling down in worship and praise throughout the Apocalypse (Rev. 7:11; 11:16; 14:3; 19:4). This army will also include an angelic component, per Matthew 24:31. It should also be noted that the return of Christ at Armageddon will be by no means ‘secret’. That is, it will not be entirely “like a thief in the night”, although His coming will indeed take all living at that time by surprise. Jesus Himself asserts that there will be plenty of indicators and telltale signs that point to His soon coming, beginning with the rise and reign of the beast, aka, the abomination of desolation (per Matthew 24:15-30). His sign of His coming will appear well in advance of His actual arrival (Matthew 24:27-30). Everyone’s attention will be riveted on the spectacular sight of that encroachment. All will mourn at the sight of what they will see. In addition, that physical re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere will find His beleaguered Jews (the elect) in a desperate battle for their lives (those who will have remained behind, in defense of Jerusalem). At His appearance, the startled beast and his armies will be headed back toward Jerusalem, still freshly victorious over the eastern kings and their decimated armies. All, including the beast, will know well by that time that he is anything but all-powerful, yet, being thoroughly deluded, will obviously not be prepared to concede defeat, receive and bow to One decidedly more powerful—without a fight (They will all see as John saw (his pre-occupation with resumption of his attack on Jerusalem suggests he is not the least bit concerned over the notion that God will show): Satan, however, will know quite well (per Revelation 12:12), knowing that his time will be almost up.)

The Marriage of the Lamb Verse 7, Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. Verse 8, And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. Verse 9, And he said to me, Write, Blessed are they which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true sayings of God. The voices of the great mass choir begun in verse 6 continues here in verse 7, “let us therefore be glad, and rejoice, as we give Him glory, because the marriage of the Lamb has come, His woman (Grk., guna=specifically, a wife) having made herself ready. This she has done through faith—a “resting” of herself in Him, and Him alone, with all her trust and confidence—for her salvation and righteousness needful to stand before God the Father, up close and personal, sin-free. And it was given that she should be dressed in fine linen, clean and white; because the fine linen is symbolic of the righteousness of the saints”. At this point, John was instructed to write, “Blessed (fortunate, well-off) are all of those having been called (summoned) to the marriage supper of the Lamb. These words of truth are from God”, John was told, moreover. Verse 10, And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, See you do it not: I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. At this juncture, John attempted to pay homage to the angel guiding him through the Apocalypse. “Do not do that”, he was told. “I am as you are, a fellow-servant, of both you and your brothers in the faith, who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Rather, worship God: because the spirit (focus, or chief purpose) of all prophecy is the testimony of Jesus.” The Messiah The Second Coming of Jesus the Christ Throughout the Apocalypse, right up to the very last moment, God will have done everything possible to coax, cajole, and coerce man to his knees in recognition of His Sovereignty, in the interest of saving as many as possible. Angels will have preached the everlasting gospel, the 144,000 Jewish evangelists will have preached that same message, both of which, coupled with the seal and trumpet judgments will have produced two major harvests of precious souls which, coming dangerously close, might otherwise have been lost. The bowl judgments, in all their horror, will have produced nothing in the way of a harvest. Salvation will not have been the objective. Anguished, agonizing, severely beaten and battered, unrepentant men led by the devil in the beast will choose still to blaspheme the Hand they know now controls all their miseries (and their destinies!). That, as far as God is concerned, will be the surest and best indicator that ‘enough, is enough’!

Sarmatians:As with the Cimmerians and with the Scythians, so with the Sarmatians, their past comes to us sealed in a shroud of murkiness. Some light is shed on that past however, as they are first mentioned in first century AD Roman literature (referred to there as Alans?). Old Roman maps point to them and the areas of their occupation interchangeably as either Alans (Josephus 7.4.3; 7.7.4) or Geloni (Herodotus). Ptolemaic maps are said to reference those same areas as Sarmatia. Another source document detailing something of the presence and reach of this people is an ancient Parthian manuscript known as the Vologeses Inscription, while one of the richest sources of knowledge is the many graves, found and unearthed in the regions they inhabited.It is generally thought and accepted that the Sarmatians were nomads of Iranian blood who undertook migration from Central Asia between the sixth and the fourth centuries BC, arriving eventually at the Ural Mountains (apparently following an ideology and strategy, or a route plan similar to that of the Scythian, several centuries earlier, and who in some sense, are near relatives of theirs). By the fifth century BC, control of the plains between the Don River and Urals was their domain (there were at least three separate groups, each of which while maintaining some form of unity, developed independently along the steppe between the Ural Mountains in the east and the Danube River in the west). The fourth century saw them attempt expansion of that domain as one of their several groups, the Alans or Alani (some say), crossed over the Don, to challenge and discomfit the now settled (and, maybe, complacent, less threatening and, unsuspecting) Scythians, virtually wiping them out according to one source (over two hundred years), thereby establishing themselves as the rulers of southern Russia, by the second century—this in spite of the Scythian superior numbers. In the first century, they formed an alliance with the tribes of Germany, which was formidable enough to be a threat to the mighty Roman Empire. The reality that says “all good things must come to and end”, however, began to set in, when, after almost three hundred years (apparently having turned on their German allies), the Sarmatians sought yet again to expand in the third century AD, only to invade Romania (then Dacia) and the lower Danube River region to be overwhelmed by the Goths. Many of them went on to join the Goth invasion of Western Europe, while their homeland was sacked in 370 AD, demolished by an influx of Huns from the east. By the sixth century, history had lost track of its third consecutive group of savage plundering, ravaging warmongers.

The Battle of Armageddon: Phase 1THE GREAT DAY OF GOD ALMIGHTYThe evil but “rifted” empire strikes back! Bowl #6: World War IV Verse 12, And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. The out-pouring of the bowl by the sixth angel, marks the beginning of the end. The last possible harvest of souls was actually completed during the first half of this, the last three point five years of time before the Return and Millennial Reign of Christ, our Savior. No further effort will be expended to save anyone, from the time of the rise of the beast and his murders of all tribulation born believers. Rebel man, having demonstrated his tenacity and determination to maintain his independence, thus far, has not been given much say in the matter, in terms of final outcomes. God has acted, shaking things up, making life uncomfortable; man has watched and suffered—having been given little room for any kind of substantive defense, or, direct response—except, to either repent and submit, or, indirectly retaliate by venting against all new convert Christians and/or the Jews. With what may well be termed a welcomed ‘turn of events’ for mankind, that, is about to change. For the first time in the tribulation period, humanity can fight back. He can now retaliate against further “acts of God”. This is to be the final round in what has thus far been at best a humbling and humiliating battle. Tensions will be as high as the stakes (for man! No matter the outcome of the battle, he loses, insofar as, he can never undo the damages inflicted already upon the very biosphere and the ecosystem within and upon which he must depend for survival!). Feelings of hatred and hostility will be mutual, between the primary combatants. Passions will be matched only by the absence of compassion. The air will be thick with animosity, in a face-off that will bring angry men face to face, head-to-head—mono au mono—with their equally inhospitable Maker. He who, in love and the utmost humility, gave His life in death to save them and all mankind two thousand years ago, will then authoritatively and with the highest austerity, speak death upon them, void of even the slightest pity. As the Apocalypse channels onto the last corridor leading to Armageddon, drawing history to a close, a representative faction of remaining mankind must be summoned to do the honors of fighting on behalf of all. At this point, he will never willingly submit to His Maker. Having been humiliated, and infuriated, by the last five judgments—win, lose, or die—the beast (even with egg all over his face!) and his subjects will yet without question be more than ever eager to‘get it on’ in a mix-up with the Creator of all that is.

Who were they, in antiquity?Thus far then, we now know that “Magog” finds its roost today in all of the land mass known as, and now occupied by, modern Russia. Likewise we also know that Russia—as it relates to and falls within the grand scheme and plan of God—consists of two major parts or, sections separated by the Ural Mountains: 1) Western or European Russia and, 2) Siberia. That leaves open the question, who were these people during the Bible days of Ezekiel? Who were they prior to his day, during and across the two thousand years following the birth and life of the Christ? What did they ever do to provoke God’s ire?European RussiaPlayground for murderers and marauders; wild and untamed; haven to pillagers and plunder seekers, more savage than the climate itself: ruled apparently for millennia by no one codified, written law, or civilized authority, such was this, and in reality, the rest of the world of humanity, where thoughts and knowledge of God had failed to grace the minds of men; although the writing cultures appear to have managed a much greater sense of civility and stability. This section of the land of Magog refers to the western 25% of the old Soviet Union (one might say their early “old west” makes the American version look “sissy”). Specifically, it is that part of Soviet Russia (known since the Soviet breakup in 1991 as the Russian Federation), which lies west of the Ural Mountains, but more precisely between the Caspian Sea on the east and the Baltic in the west, having as its southern border the Black Sea, whereas the White is its northernmost boundary. Its actual westernmost boundary or border has varied widely throughout history, dependent on who had the biggest sword, and who could muster and manage the most living bodies after appeasement of the sacrificial demands and bite of one senseless battle after the other to enforce a shift. At no point along a timeline spanning millennia, has any one group ever peacefully peopled that region for any significantly long duration of time (apparently!). The historical record suggests that—in a span reaching back as far as 4000 years B.C. to the relatively recent mid-800s A.D.—Europe’s portion of today’s Russia has been inundated repeatedly by floods of many different tribes of people, many, if not most, from Central Asia. Its steppes (great plains), said to be relatively infertile and part of a roughly 5000-mile stretch, reaching from the Ukraine to China, hosts an environment known for climatic contrasts which are extreme, and are able to support only small bands of horsemen over huge allotments thereof. All of this begs the question: what then served as the virtual magnets, attracting and luring these bands of murderous, marauding thugs, who either forced out whatever group happened to be in occupation upon their arrival or, simply killed them off, outright—making this area a veritable slaughter house, or, more aptly, a killing field? Whatever the reason, it might well be said that this segment of the land of the realm of Gog in its entirety was hardly what God had in mind in terms of the “unknown”, given that it was in fact quite well known to the outside world (one group of nomads is known for positioning itself in the area of well-worn trade routes, some of which—like the “Silk Routes”—traversed this area). Thus—not to in any way minimize its shear brutality, gore, and gruesomeness—we see that Hitler’s Final Solution was not by any means the beginning of man’s inhumanity to man.

Biosphere Demolished, Ecosystem Destroyed Beyond the Point of No Return Chapter 16, Verse 1And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. Thus, then, the stage having been set, a command is issued by a great voice emanating from the Temple: “Go out and empty the bowls filled with the anger (hot displeasure) of God upon the earth”. Once again, where any Christian, physical representation is concerned, the presence of God will by this point have been for the last time vanquished from the earth in a horrendous flood of blood. All ordinary Christians will be dead. By all outward appearances, this will look like a major victory for the devil and company. Nothing, however, could be further from the truth. The beast’s victory celebration will be brought to an abrupt halt—in total disfavor with all who will have hailed his, coming, his rise and his fame. Insofar as this, the Bowl Judgments, marks the beginning of the strictly punitive phase of God’s dealings with man—that is, this is not pressure applied with a view to squeezing out new converts; none will be sought—the death of all the precious souls who will die during the period just prior to the first of the last judgments (following the rise of the beast) will actually be a blessing that will spare them the horrors that will be unleashed hereafter. Only the unbelieving Jews will remain (and, they will be protected throughout this time of ordeal and agony, in the shelter of a safe haven known only to God). It is perfectly clear that these horrors are all generated and instigated, tailor-made, by the Hand of Almighty God—for this occasion. Furthermore, it is just as clear that, 1) these judgments while being targeted on the one hand (the biosphere will be totally destroyed), in that they are focused specifically on those who have received the mark of the beast and have worshipped his image, they are in nature global on the other, 2) no lives will be taken during the phase encompassing the first six bowls, nevertheless, none will ever repent, 3) although it is difficult to pin-point exactly where it is in the latter three and one half years before Armageddon that the Bowl Judgments start, it is perhaps quite rational to assume that somewhere near the middle or beginning of the latter one and three-quarter years might be the most logical place, given that some time has to be allowed for the 144,000 Jewish evangelists and the angel to finish their work, in addition to major events like the beast settling in, gaining global acceptance with the aid of the false prophet, including destroying potential competition and conflicts of interests brought on by the pope and his Vatican, dethroning and displacing the Jews as he nullifies the treaty he signed 3.5 years earlier, banning Temple worship while establishing himself as God, along with his worship-linked system of global identification, tracking and economics, etc., the wholesale slaughter and destruction of perhaps billions of Christian converts won by the 144k evangelists due to their joint refusal to bow the knee in acceptance of his “mark”, and given that the distance from here to Armageddon appears to be rather short and direct.

The message is not only intended for Washington, but to its Gulf Arab allies that are fearful of a regional conflict that could disrupt oil shipment and cripple business hubs in places such as Dubai and Qatar's capital Doha.

The Resurrection, Rise and Reign (Daniel’s Mouthy Little Horn, aka, the Abomination of Desolation; Paul’s Son of Perdition) Advent of the Beast (Revelation Chapter 13, Verses 1 and 2)This juncture in the unfolding drama of the Apocalypse marks the halfway point in the period of seven years immediately preceding the Battle of Armageddon. This “mother-of-all” battles will usher in the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Jews’ Messiah for whom they long and wait. This does not, however, indicate the midpoint of the entire period encompassed by the Apocalypse, nor does it limit this span (of the Apocalypse) to only seven years—as is commonly taught in evangelical, and perhaps some Pentecostal, or other circles. Verse 1, And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. In this vision, John finds himself standing upon sands that adorn the shore of the sea (a most likely reference to the Mediterranean, although this ocean is itself most probably a symbolic reference to the restless mass of humanity.). There, he is shown the emergence of a strange looking creature called a beast (in the sense of a dangerous, wild animal, per the Greek word, “therion”, thay-ree’-on) bearing striking, though not exact similarities to those of the dragon, studied earlier in chapter 12. No doubt, these physical likenesses are meant to signify an inextricable link between the two, while at the same time assuring readers that they are not the same (combined, one might say, the ‘name’ and physical traits help set the tone in terms of character or psychological orientation and general description). This beast, John says, is emerging out of the chaos and restlessness of humanity (symbolized by the Mediterranean!). Furthermore (like the dragon), this beast has seven heads, each of which is marked by names of blasphemy (that is, this creature has that about it—let’s call it an aura or an atmosphere, for now—that clearly signifies a willful, woeful misrepresentation, mischaracterization and defiance of the True and Living God!). John also observed that the dangerous wild animal coming out of this clamorous agitation, that is the noisy commotion of mankind without a central focus in terms of leadership, had ten horns, upon which were ten crowns. In biblical terminology, horn as a metaphor in poetry and prophecy is usually a symbol of authority, strength, power, and rugged individuality. The crowns (Greek, kingly ‘diadems’, as opposed to ‘stephanos’ or wreaths given to the winner of a contest), of course, symbolize sovereignty and dominion. Thus, while the horns wearing crowns signifying sovereign individuality are in a close alliance with the beast, they are yet symbolic of 10 different personalities, separate and distinct from that beast and its seven heads; in an association that is largely voluntary. In addition, each horn is separate and distinct from each other (able to govern as well as stand on and under their own authority. Ironically, per chap. 17, as such, neither existed during the days of John, they do not exist today and they will not exist as any kind of geopolitical entities until after the bowl judgments, shortly before the return of Christ.).

The Victor has the SpoilsFor Israel, the future at least for a time, looks bright. If one’s interpretation of 39:10 is at least marginally accurate, it looks as if Israel will not only be marvelously benefited beyond any hurt inflicted by the advance of their mortal enemies, but, in addition to quite literally “making hay” (fuel) of all the flammable remains of weapons farmed from the aftermath of the war, they will (or may) also have free access to, and, control of all their energy resources and reserves, as well. This could only mean, or suggest at the very least, one thing: the fifteen minutes of fame handed to them by the Hand of the Almighty in this their most recent victory, could easily escalate to thirty minutes or more as they—one of, if not the, smallest nation on earth (actually, Vatican City, is the smallest nation)—would now conceivably be in a unique position so as to dominate and control the world. For seven years at least, maybe more, the vast majority of the Russian and Arab crude (said to be the most traded commodity in the world) needed to lube and grease the Jewish and the global economies would be under Jew thumb and fingertips, where it will remain until Shiloh comes. All of Russia’s vast coal reserves will be Israel’s to hoard. “Say it ain’t so, Elmo!” ya’ say? That certainly does appear to be the shape of the future and of things to come, particularly in light of the grip and the hold that crude has on virtually everything on the planet, today.How will the Jews know where to find Russian coal and oil reserves, as well as all its other buried natural resources, which will be of immense value to its survival, so as to capitalize and make full use thereof, within seven years (maybe a little longer)? Since most is located in Siberia, under perma-frosted ground, which makes it difficult for even the Russians to access, how will the Jews defeat the elements where they have failed?There were Jews in Russia, running the government (or, in high places thereof, for sure) during the days of the communists, there are Jews there today (informed and enlighten men who know the country), so likewise there will be Jews there when the country falls by the design, by the hand and by the will of Almighty God (much of the obsolete Soviet owned businesses, including oil companies, that Boris Yeltsin sold off cheaply before leaving office is said to have fallen into the hands of so-called oligarchs, who got filthy rich thereby, overnight—many of whom are supposedly Jewish.). No matter how many leave in the meantime, whether they are in or out of the country, there will always be those who know that land and its valuables. They know what its wealth is, where and how to find it.

The Warning Verse 9, And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, Verse 10, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Verse 11, And the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receives the mark of his name. John’s third angel comes bearing an ominous warning from God to all of these people regarding the image of the one world leader and his mark: everyone who bows down to worship and pay homage to either the one world dictator or his image, and anyone receiving his mark upon either his right hand or upon his forehead, will be subjected to the wrath of God Almighty, in the full. His anger will not be abated. It will not be watered down in any way. There will be no deliverance, and no forgiveness, for any such person. In addition, this means then that there will be ample time in advance of the beast and his mark to make the decision to accept, or, to reject. Multitudes will doubtless therefore be saved well ahead of the seating of the beast, and the enforcement of his hellish demand, although many will probably be saved just-in-time, afterwards as well. In fact, it almost appears that this warning may well be or will have to be generated and circulated before there is any real or perceived basis for them. That is, there will not be any beast or mark, before the warnings begin. They will, however, no doubt continue, and they will intensify as the moment of truth draws nearer, and nearer. Needless to say, this declaration will leave believers ‘born’ during these dark days quite literally between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Worship God, per the invitation of the angelic preacher, letting one’s faith be known, and one is a dead man (albeit, having lost his life on account of his faith, he will in the end regain it to live throughout all eternity in the presence of the Lamb and the Father; this in accord with the promise of Jesus Christ: “…all who lose their lives for My Sake and the gospel, will gain new lives…”). Worship the beast, and his image, per the warning of the angelic preacher, and death (while not eluded entirely) may come more slowly, as one saves his life temporarily to live through the reign of the one world dictator but, death (eternal separation from God) will come surely (into and perhaps through the Millennial Reign of Christ, if he is numbered among the lucky (albeit eternally lost) ones! None should hedge any bets on his being among those “lucky ones”, as the chances for that would be a long shot at best; this, given that as many as 1.5 billion unsaved souls will lose their lives just during phase 1 of the Battle of Armageddon. There is no telling who might make up that rank of the dead, but, most assuredly, there is plenty of room for anyone, within the confines of a number so large!), yet, he is a dead man no less—destined to spend a never-ending eternity separated and isolated, with the devil they served, away from the God to whom they thumbed their noses, as they turned their backs to Him.

Case of the missing Church (The Rapture)(1 Thessalonians 4)It is difficult at best to say with any real certainty when or where in the eschatological timetable God will remove the church. It is not hard to imagine, however, that probably what few there are in America who remain alive will be evacuated before God signals the destruction of Babylon the Great, along with all others in a global “snatching up” of the deceased and the living. At any rate, remove it He will, be it immediately before the Apocalypse, before the Russians attack Israel, or before the collapse of Babylon the Great, which will doubtless fall before God utterly pulverizes the Russo/EU/Muslim confederacy.During the days of the interlude–whether it is for seven years or, for seven years plus (one would think 10.5 years minimum)—unquestionably, tensions will mount, a thirst for revenge will reign until finally tempers will flair as the world vies for what it will likely view as a final desperate bid to rid itself of any vestige of the influence of Almighty God—Jew and Christians (protestants) being its primary focus. Why do the heathen rage, as they (the pagans) imagine vain or worthless things; taking council together (as they do) against the Almighty and His Messiah, the Psalmist queries in Psalm 2? God has already made Himself real in their thinking by the now defunct Russo-Arab alliance. However, but for the lingering scars of that reality, the only tangible, visible sign of that Presence is the Christian and, of course, the Jew. Behind the scenes the Lord will stoke the fires of doubt, so as to coax a yet God hating, Christ rejecting world to still another banqueting table and feast, set for the birds and wild animals, upon which they (the gentiles of the world) are the main entree. As bad as the Russo-Arab defeat was, the adage some folks never learn, will now take on new meaning, as all hell is about to break loose within the confines of this bubble housing our terra firma. Before this can take place, however, God has other plans, special plans, for His church. Actually, it is not clear, so that one cannot be absolutely certain whether this, the Rapture, will take place after the fall of the Russian/Arab coalition, or before. The reality is, the rapture could (and most likely will) very well take place prior to God’s toppling of Babylon the Great, which must fall before the Russians feel confident that they can launch their incursion into Israel without significant interference from other foreign powers (Rev. 18). The 4.65 million Ashkenazim here in the U.S. now, having significant ties in all areas of government and business, could pretty much preclude any such occurrence (a Russian incursion into Israel), for the time being.Where the world at large is concerned, nothing much can or will happen—in the course of everyday living—to change his mind with regard to the Apocalypse, whether or not it will occur; its proximity. They simply do not believe, and/or could not care less. The clearest warning bell will be sounded, however, when they awaken one sweet morning to find that the hated Christian, and many a Jew, is no more; vanished and that without a trace! Although there will be Christians during the Apocalypse period, these will actually be saved after this period of hell on earth begins. No Christian living prior will enter that time of testing (one uses the term Christian here with reference to those who actually are such, not to nominal Christians who, being religious, are so chiefly in name and by church affiliation only).

THE FIG TREEByAlvin MitchellAll prophecy, John penned in the Revelation, is about Jesus (Rev. 19:10—“…the Spirit of prophecy is Jesus”, his angelic, apocalyptic host informed him.). Jesus Christ is therefore Bible prophecy’s theme and chief point of focus. If this simple assertion be true then, for this reason alone, the subject and the study of Bible prophecy is tremendously elevated in the thinking of the saints, both Jew and Christian, given that it puts the genre on a par with the four gospels, in terms of relevance and importance. Furthermore, one might think of prophecy, therefore, as a kind of Fifth Gospel.

A Great Wonder in Heaven A Pregnant Woman Chapter 12, Verse 1, And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: This chapter opens with a pageantry of events that encapsulate the history and trauma of the nation of Israel, from God’s perspective. It is an allegory (a story told in symbols or pictures) of the complete history of the nation of the Jews, from the conception, as it was revealed to the elder of the two youngest of Jacob’s sons—Joseph—to the mid-point of the last seven years of modern history (the story is complete with the hellish power behind the troubles Israel has often faced, throughout her long history). Moreover, what we have here in heavenly graphics is another one of a plethora of scripture (in addition to the 144,000), which quite dispel false notions as that God is in anywise finished with the Jew (or, even, that there are no more of them!). The Jew is very much alive, even as he is very much an indelible, integral part of God’s plans for the future and last days of this old, battered world in which we live. They are not hapless victims of so-called “replacement theology”. They have not been replaced in favor of the church. When Jacob’s son Joseph was his well-favored seventeen-year-old, God gave him a dream, which prefigured the nation that was to be born and rooted in his family. Joseph shared that dream with his eleven envious brothers, all of whom hated his guts, initially, and even more, afterwards. They instantly understood fully, the ramifications. In a second dream, God enlarged upon the first, whereupon, Joseph informed both his brothers and his father. The sum of the dreams was such that the sun and the moon, along with eleven sheaves/stars would someday fall prostrate before the one sheaf or star. All, including old Jacob, with measurable consternation (and contempt, from the brothers) interpreted the dreams to imply that the entire family would at some point be subject to the elder of the two youngest sons. What they failed to realize, given of course that they could not see the future, was that God was mapping in advance His plan for first the preservation of a people (through unforeseen tough times ahead, over which they had no control), then, the birthing of a nation by whom He would birth His Blessing upon all the nations of the earth, according to His promise to Adam, Abraham and Isaac.

Adonai Jehovah instructs His servant, the prophet, to issue a terse reminder to Gog, the head of the chiefs of the states of Meshech and Tubal: he is to expect to be induced into conflict with His people, within the confines of Israel, after he has been lured out of the comforts of his own home in the uttermost quarters; he is to expect a crushing humiliation, and, a devastating defeat at the hands of the Almighty Himself (as Israel will not have a friend upon whom to lean), as all his weapons are rendered useless upon the mountains of Eretz Israel; following his drubbing, the small birds (and vultures) and wild animals will feast upon what is left of the carcasses and blood of all his armies, of which only 1/6 will survive. No specific numbers are given, or, suggested. One can imagine, however, that—in light of the staggering commitment of troops by the roughly five or so nations involved, possibly in the high hundreds of thousands, or into the millions—five sixths of the total of everything and everyone—men, livestock, equipment—all will be utterly destroyed by an act of God, on behalf of His helpless, hapless (although they are most fortunate to have Him on their side), and beleaguered people. No doubt, to a degree, the few who survive this beating in the mountains of Israel will be the catalysts by means of whose testimonies and eye witness accounts many others (among their people groups, in their various homelands), military and civilians, will be brought to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus, who is the Christ. Gog and company in the field, having suffered a sore discomfiture, Adonai Jehovah will then turn His attention to Magog, venting His wrath and anger upon the homeland of Gog. Not only so, but, those in faraway lands, those who could (maybe) have come to the aid of the Jew but chose not to, thinking themselves to be secure from the dangers of this latest in middle eastern conflicts, will find, however, that they are not exempt from God’s judgment. All who live free from concern in the isles (no doubt a reference to the over five continents, as opposed to tiny, otherwise insignificant, individual little islands, exclusively) will be visited so that they too might know firsthand and feel the wrath of their Maker, who they all are guilty of rejecting. Having issued His proclamation, and spoken His plan for judgment, the certainty of it all is such that, it is as good as done in the mind, the eyes and heart of Adonai Jehovah.

The Beast Mortal Combat!Verse 7a, And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. Whatever their immense power, no matter the amount of misery they are allowed to inflict upon a God-less, Christ rejecting world, etc., the two witnesses will still, at the same time, be mortal men, subject to all the rules governing life and mortality. The world will have done everything that it can to rid itself of their enigmatic presences. Every effort to stop and/or apprehend the witnesses will have ended with the relentless deaths of their pursuers. At this point, the Italian leader (who will become the “beast”) enters the picture. Upon his arrival he is met with the same fate as all who dare oppose the two prophets: he will be killed as they will be. Meanwhile, their rampage will continue. The term beast is a rough translation of the Greek word “therion”, thay-ri’-on, meaning more literally a dangerous, wild animal. It is illustrative of God’s perception of him as a loathsome thing, one esteemed as exceptionally low, or, lowdown; detestable. It is impossible at this point to tell who the beast will be, or precisely what his rank or status will be at the moment of his calling. Daniel, however, gives clues that are most enlightening. Thus, according to Daniel’s prophecies, his being will be that of an individual of high station, a prince and ruler of the people who destroyed the city of Jerusalem and its Temple (70 AD and 135 AD)—who will or could be anything from some high-ranking Italian government official having a strong background in law enforcement or the military, to even Italy’s Prime Minister, in those days. John’s depiction in Revelation 17 assigns him the rank/title of a “Caesar” (Greek, Kaisar, kah’-ee-sar=Caesar)—which need not mean that, as such, this end-times ruler will have ties to any of the ancient Caesars, given that they were not all related even then. Entry of one of his rank and caliber into the fracas orchestrated and managed by the two witnesses will signal that the world now realizes that facilitation of the deaths of these two agonizing thorns in their sides can no longer be left to chance. Nor must it be further entrusted to a posse of lesser-lings who will have been left looking like a squad of witless misfits (as prescribed by their Commissioner, all who challenge them winds up, not just defeated but, dead!). The witnesses need to go, and, they need to go now! The globally destabilizing romps of God’s two olive trees must be brought to a swift end. Verse 7b, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

The Nose-ring of (in-)Security Without specifying why, ’70s theological and prophetic rumor-mill had it that communist Russia had been eying Israel, for some time, as a strategic point from which they could control the world. This thought, too, is most compelling when one considers that it has been said that the most convenient route for the flow of oil out of the Middle East to the rest of the world is through the land of the Jews. With two-thirds of global supplies stored in that area, assuming the foregoing is true, control of God’s country would indeed place the holder (like Russia) in a unique position of considerable “clout”. If she can knock Israel off, Jordan would not be a problem, and all the other Arab nations, for the time being, are in Russia’s corner. Others like the Chinese—as well as Great Britain, and the Germans—will be eying with ambition this same piece of prime real estate, realizing its value, but, she will have the high ground, as it were—the high ground being in this case Israel. From that vantage point she can practically dictate the terms of war with any detractors, insofar as she and the Arab world will control the lion’s share of all the world’s crude, and natural gas (the top three producers of crude are all in that general part of the world: the Saudis, the Iranians and the Russians, in that order.). No nation today can wage war without adequate supplies of petroleum, and its derivatives. For reasons to be covered later, no one will be able to match her military might, built around her nuke arsenal (even as she languishes; though weak and, apparently, suffering the pangs of many setbacks, she is still nevertheless, as she is quick to point out, a force to be reckoned with; this, no one is likely to question); no nation will have her resources; it will therefore, be in the best interests of all to stand with her (if current interpretations and understandings surrounding what is knowable of the history of “Gomer” hold any water at all, then, certain if not all the ‘key’ factions of the “Celtic” peoples including the Germans, will be confederate with the Russo/Islamic federation. That is, “Gomer” is in all likelihood a reference to all of Western Europe, particularly those areas once peopled and dominated by the Celts. Thus, it appears Russia will come, having gotten this point across already). With the Jews gone, and a beachhead in Palestine, Russia, it will think, can buy a moment’s peace of mind, and a bit of security from the enemy most likely and most capable of exploitation in her time of weakness. Given the aforementioned nose-rings, it cannot be, but that, the security (of knowing she does not have to contend with the presence of the self-styled Jew any longer) will be a prime motivator driving her against the people of God, into the arms of a hellish destruction. Realistically, but for these reasons, there does not appear on the surface to be any other good, solid nose-ring on earth as to why a nation 876.2 times bigger than Israel would ever want to bypass must larger lands, only to invest heavily in the conquest of something so small—except as it be, as we have been told, for the hand of Almighty God!

Nipped in the BudHereby, Solomon shattered any hope he ever had that his family line would ever host the Messiah. Although certain of his descendants were faithful, in a manner comparable to king David, Solomon’s failure was all that was necessary to void the promise, where he and his offspring were concerned. Effectively, with every opportunity in the world before him to succeed on the one hand (ostensibly, that is, given the family factor, which still could have wrecked any success on his part), he never had a chance, on the other. He did not merely do something wrong; that would have been bad enough. Rather, this, the wisest man of all time—by the Hand and generosity of the God of his father, no less—did completely sever his good relationship with the God of his fathers, choosing and committing himself to doing evil in His sight, in deference to his three hundred wives and seven hundred concubines—most or many of whom were pagans, to whom he should never have been married in the first place (he never repented or returned; Ezekiel 3:20-21). “Because you have done this, having refused to obey My commandments and My statues, I will now take the Kingdom from you and give it to your servant…you will be left with only one tribe, and that, only for sake of My servant David, and for Jerusalem, which I have chosen…so as to preserve on his behalf a Light in My presence, forever” (I King 11:11-13, 36; that Light “preserved forever” is none other than the Light of the world—the Messiah Himself). The Last Glimmer of HopeImmediately prior to the Babylonian invasion and captivity, as if to squeeze every glimmer of any remaining light out of a dark, lightless chapter long closed and dead to the Solomon clan with reference to the grand plan, God makes the following declaration regarding the last of David’s rebel descendants to rule upon the throne in Jerusalem: “even if Coniah (Jehoiachin, son of Jehoiakim) …were a signet upon My right hand, I would nonetheless pluck it off…this is what the Lord has to say, ‘write this man off as one who has never had a child, one who will not prosper, ever, in his life…given that none of his progeny will ever prosper, sitting (as king) upon the throne of David, or ruling any more from Judah’” (Jer. 22:24-30). The point of Jeremiah’s prophecy is not that Coniah would never have sons. Rather, God was emphasizing finality of his determination that no son or descendant of Solomon would ever be included in the Messianic line-up. His proclamation was, therefore, the final death nail in a series, on top of the ultimate of death nails, this man would never have a son who would ever serve as king in Jerusalem. The lineage listing in Matthew’s gospel shows quite clearly that Jehoiachin did in fact have sons, albeit, in captivity, after he was deported by the Babylonians. None was ever a king; had it been otherwise, then Joseph, husband of Mary and stepfather to the Christ, would have been king at the time of the birth of Jesus. “…if you forsake Him, He will forsake you, forever”, David, the incumbent king, warned Solomon in his waning moments (I Chron. 28:9). King Solomon never returned or repented of his evil.

Verse 10, “this is what the Lord-like-no-other, The Self-Existent One, Who exists forever (Adonai Jehovah) has to say, ‘at the time of your attack, you will proceed according to a preconceived, mischievous plan, diabolical in nature; you will talk to yourself about how you will militarily harass a land defenseless, living safely and at peace, unable to match and fend against your own military might, for the purpose of pillaging, openly robbing and plundering…’” Verse 14, “for this reason, son of man, (you are My mouthpiece) speak and tell Gog, this is what the Lord of all lords, Who is Self-Existing eternally, has to say, ‘in the day when My people are living securely, will you not be fully aware (knowing well their vulnerability)’”? Still tough to envision, is it not? And yet, why should it be, knowing the diplomatic and trade ties between the two countries? How a nation like Russia could ever be so foolish as to consider war with a nation like Israel, for the purpose of taking a…a “what”(!)? Both nations are cash strapped and economically challenged, so what does a tiny, virtually insignificant little country like Israel possibly have that would ever satisfy the virtually unquenchable thirst of one as large as Russia’s? One would think that just the shear cost of an assault on a scale akin to the one portrayed here, might far outweigh negatively anything or, any benefit that might be gained from such a venture; particularly given the financial straits the Jews face right now. At six million, five hundred, sixty-two thousand square miles, what could a nation the size of Russia, with its vast resources, ever see in a nation like Israel, measuring only around 7.849 thousand square miles (indications are such that, or, they suggest that, Russia has far greater resources at its disposal, than Israel has space to live!)?

Jesus: The Nature of His Being.Herein, Daniel, lies the significance of the "virgin" birth of Jesus Christ. There were no human reproductive cells involved in the conception and birth of our Lord (i.e., there were no human gametes: no egg and no sperm). So then, while fully human blood coursed through His veins, just as with you and me, no part of His person originated within the bodies of any other human being. None of His blood came from any member of Adam’s race. That being the case, Joseph, Jesus’ stepfather, and Joseph’s family line (descendants of King David, through his son, King Solomon) had no part whatsoever in His conception. Is that not strange? Because of this, Jesus was born perfect, flawless, free from the rebel, sin natures that you, I, and the six billion (plus) people now living inherited because of Adam's disobedience and fall in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1 and verses following; Romans 5:12-19; I Corinthians 15:20-22). By all accounts and measures, His humanity, His human nature, was precisely, identically (100%) the same as what He Himself originally created in Adam, “good in every sense of the word” (Genesis 1:31). He was completely without blemish of any kind, so that His Deity, everything that He had always been as “God”, given up at the incarnation, per Philippians 2:5-11, was not a factor in His perfection. Our lot in life is not so, no matter how good we are, we are by no means perfect. Of us, Daniel, God's estimation is such that none of us is any wise righteous; not one of us is capable of doing good on any level that would ever please Him. Every human being born since Adam (through normal procreation) is a rebel and therefore sinful and only capable of falling short of God's expectations for men (Romans 3:9,10,12,23; Isaiah 64:6). The absolute only viable, acceptable remedy for this condition, is death, marked by a shedding of human blood (Romans 6:23; Hebrew 9:22; Leviticus 17:11). The price is as steep as it is absolute. Somehow, somebody has to, and, somebody will, pay that price. Sinful, rebellious mankind cannot pay, at any cost, for the eradication of his indebtedness to God (regardless of how righteous any given man may be, in fact), owing to his own sinfulness before God. Woe is me! We're doomed then, right, Daniel?

Foreword In the New Testament (NT), God is careful to introduce and highlight Jesus—His only "begotten" Son—as a unique and unusual "Son", one having a "prior" existence, one born or birthed, but not conceived, in the "usual" way. That is, this "Son"—in a wardrobe of one hundred percent flesh, blood and bones—has "roots" traceable to God, the Creator of everything (John 1:3; Colossians 1:14-17; Ephesians 3:8,9; Hebrews 1:1-3). This means, then, that He as such, being the Christ of the NT, is nothing, if not also the God of the Old Testament (OT). Hereupon hangs a truth that gives birth to and a never-ending enigma, as it prompts a series of nagging questions. It is these questions which, in a measure, are the focus of this book: Was He then as a Man, trolling the roads of Galilee, “God”, at the same time? Understanding as we do that, He is alive now, two thousand years after His death, was He the same then as He is now? In light of the controversy surrounding this issue, one must most certainly agree that requisite to any satisfactory resolution, is a careful defining of terms. Hence, what is "God"? What characterizes divinity or "God"; what qualities quantify a “God” persona? If God defined is, in a nutshell, “All-powerful, All-knowing, and Everywhere-present”, is that the way Jesus Christ the Nazarene is defined in the Bible? Does God make any effort to portray Him (Jesus) as literally, functionally "God" throughout or at any point in His earthly walk; that is, One who was equal, in every way, except the obvious, to the Father? The biggest names in evangelical/fundamentalism argue vehemently—based squarely upon what they ‘think’, and His reaction to the words of the Pharisees—that He was born, lived, died, arose again, having existed as Man, who was simultaneously “God”. That is, He gave up nothing when He was born, having every attribute, all the power, and all the authority He ever had throughout His earthly walk. Realizing that most of these haven’t a clue, as they cannot find and explain the one place in four gospels where He talks repeatedly about His limitations and handicaps, is that what He taught about Himself? Did Jesus Himself ever show aspiration such that He wished to be received or viewed as “God”, during His earthly sojourn?

I'm not an atheist trying to disprove a god, and I'm not some stupid bible banger. I am a rational human being who believes that science and religion ought to be segregated. The religious method does not apply to science, and the scientific method does not apply to religion. When you apply the religious method to science, you can't prove anything and it's all left to miracles and bullshit. When you apply the scientific method to religion, the whole thing falls apart and you're left without a god.

.....Scourge of the Two WitnessesWoe #2 BeginsVerse 3a, And I will give power unto my two witnesses,The appearance of these individuals, identified here only as the “two witnesses of God”, will mark the official launch of the beginning of the end—the horrific, last seven hellish years of human history (not that the years leading up to this point will have been any picnic. God will take pangs to insure that they will be no cake walk.). These will be the years known to Bible prophecy students as Daniel’s 70th Week…which then begs the question: Since we are told that none of the Trumpet Judgments will begin until the peeling of the 7th Seal…which proves that they do not overlap or happen at the same time as the Seal Judgments…and, given that this “woe #2” (Rev. 11:3-14; encompassing the ministry of the witnesses and the death of Daniel’s little horn, before he becomes the “beast”) clearly follows the events of woe #1 (Rev. 9:1-12; the torment of the Locusts from the Abyss)…and, realizing that each of these woes is consigned to the sound of the 6th Trumpet, further proving that not one of the Trumpet Judgments occurs concurrent with the Seals, one cannot but wonder then, how is it that practically all prophecy students and the so-called experts insist that the entirety of the Apocalyptic period, starting with Rev. 6-19 will be confined to only 7 years? Consider also that, “woe #3” covers the following events, and they only transpire AFTER the sounding of the 7th Trumpet (and is limited to the latter 3.5 years of the last 7 before the 2nd Coming of Christ!):· Satan is ousted from Heaven forever (Rev. 12:7-12)· Satan allowed to resurrect and empower Daniel’s horn, who (at that moment and only under that circumstance) becomes the abomination of desolation, Paul’s son of perdition, John’s beast (aka, the “antichrist”; per Dan. 12:11; Matt. 24:15; II Thes. 2; Rev. 11:7; 13:3-5; 17:8-11)

The Bible says “he is a fool, who says there is no God”! So, starting here, let’s put that assertion to the test:John 1:1, John the apostle wrote, “in the beginning was the Word (Jesus Christ, pre-incarnate, prior to His birth from Mary’s womb!); and, the Word was with God; in fact, the WORD WAS GOD…ALL THINGS were created by Him (the Word); and without Him, nothing was made, of all that is made.Colossians 1:16, Paul said, “for by Him (Jesus Christ) all things were created, whether in Heaven or on the earth, regardless of what they are; He created all that is, period, and that, for Himself.”Genesis 1:1 Moses wrote: “in the beginning God (exnihilo) Created all that is out of nothing”Hebrews 11:3, “by faith, we understand that the worlds were framed by the Word of God, so that things which are seen, were not made of things which do appear. Romans 1:20, Paul wrote the following, “the invisible things of Him, relative to the creation of the world (that is, His intellect, creativity, structural prowess and architectural genius, etc.), are all made manifest by the visible things that make up our surroundings”

Although he is alluded to variously throughout several places in scripture and known by an assortment of names, the end times world dictator so detested by God the Almighty is referred to here in the Revelation as the “beast” (a k a, often referred to as the “anti-Christ” by modern churches; Daniel is the first to make his mention, calling him the mouthy little horn, the prince who will destroy the Jerusalem Temple and the abomination of desolation, in chapters 7, 9 and 12 respectively. Jesus repeats Daniel’s reference in Matthew 24, while Paul called him the “son of perdition”, per his 2nd epistle to the Thessalonians, chapter 2). It is John the apostle and revelator who gives the most revealing description of this eschatological end times character, first mentioning him in chapter 11, following his resurrection and battle with God’s two witnesses, who will occasion his death. Chapter 13 of the Revelation is devoted to a broad snapshot of the early days of his rise and reign, after he kills the two witnesses, in revenge. It is here, in chapter 17, however, it might be argued, where his story begins.That said then, it should be noted, perhaps, that God’s use of the term “beast” to describe what He sees as the epitome and thus the most detestable, eschatological enemy and threat to his people is a kind of play on words. The term in the Greek means “dangerous wild animal”. It is used, interchangeably by the Lord, to refer to both an end times kingdom and to the person who will be the leader of that kingdom. That being so, the focus in this context is specifically on the individual who will preside over that kingdom.

Tribulation Souls—Washed in The Blood Verse 14 identifies this congregation of people as more Christians born during the tribulation, wearing white garments that have been washed in the blood of the Lamb, so that they are now outfitted with His imputed righteousness. Without doubt, they are the product of the work and the energies of the 144,000 strong “special force” of evangelists, hand selected and picked by the Lamb, for a mission of soul winning that will be fraught with spiritual intrigue, betrayals by false Christians, false Christs and false prophets and other constant perils and dangers in the extreme. Moreover, these are the ones whose coming was (foretold and) promised to the saints under the altar, the ones already dead, having been murdered for their faith, a number of years earlier. In addition, in order to have arrived at this point, they will have to have represented—among unbelievers—some of the most difficult of prospective saints to reach. If the Old Testament tale and narrative of Israel’s most wicked and most ignominious of kings is in anywise instructive (King Manasseh), some of these may even arrive at the foot of the cross with guilt-ridden consciences and bloody hands, having participated directly or indirectly in the roundup and slaughter of the first wave of tribulation saints (those were featured for us and shown under the altar of Heaven, in chapter 6).

Bible Prophecy Master Class, Part 2 by Alvin MitchellThis chapter or section commences with Yahweh’s bid for the attention of His mouthpiece (Jehovah: the Self-Existent, Eternal One): Son of man, Ezekiel, is called, set your face prophetically against one named Gog, who lives in a land of Magog. This passage is somewhat problematic, due in part perhaps to translation problems experienced by the original translators. Thus, perhaps, the best route to any potentially accurate interpretation may be a careful defining of terms. The word Gog simply means “mountain”. It is used only 10 times throughout the Old Testament: 1 in 1 Chronicles, 7 times here in Ezekiel. It occurs 1 time in the Book of the Revelation. It is not immediately clear (by its use in :2) whether the reference is to an individual, or, to a region. What is clear, is that, the symbolism here points to stature or status, as it relates to others around it or him. Therefore, whether it refers to a person, or a geographical location, this one is one who is the most prominent of all. It might best be interpreted as a “title”, more so than an actual name—although, as will be shown, to further distinguish this one and to accentuate his prominence, this name does in fact carry a separate and distinct ‘title’. “…land of…” is a translation of the Hebrew word “erets”. It is used over 2500 times in the OT, and is translated variously, but quite often as “land”, “region” or “territory”. Adding to the confusion or, more specifically, to the riddle is the apparent mistranslation or mishandling of the term “Magog” (by the KJV workers). In the OT, it is used only 4 times: 1 in Genesis 10, 1 in 1 Chronicles 1, and 1 in Ezekiel. It, like the term Gog, also appears in the Book of the Revelation. We know from the Table of Nations found in Genesis 10 and in 1 Chronicles 1 that Magog was one of the descendants of Noah, following dissipation of the Flood Waters. Thus, it is the name of a person. However, the term itself literally means “land of Gog”—hereby, implying the past existence of a descendant of Noah, whose name being “Gog” (no doubt, a predecessor to Magog), was applied to a smaller geographical area within the broader context of ‘erets’ or “the land of” (in which case it was rendered the “land of Gog” or, Magog—which was in turn applied as a formal name to a prominent descendant of Noah). Magog is used to refer to the place or region where the descendants of Magog settled, between the mountains of Cappadocia and Media. Thus, insofar as the expression “…chief prince…” modifies Gog—not Magog—that appears to be the best sense of its usage here. Therefore, God’s address ultimately is to a “mountain” (Gog), in the midst of a region led by or subordinate to the “mountain” (Magog, as in, a capital state), which is itself a sub-region of a broader geographical area (retz, or, “land of”, or, nation).

The 144,000 EvangelistsTheir MissionVerse 4b These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goes. These were redeemed from among men, being the first fruits unto God and to the Lamb. Thus, having been successfully preserved, recruited, thoroughly enlightened and generously endowed, with eyes wide open, their mission is such that they “…follow Him wherever He goes”. That is, these 144,000 Jews, having been ‘redeemed’ from among the ranks of unbelieving men and women—a kind of offering of first-fruits of Jewish believers rescued from the tribulation period—they themselves will now do the work of the Man from Galilee (as when He walked the earth) following in His footsteps, hastily, speedily boldly evangelizing and preaching the gospel in His Name, so as to bring in a fat harvest of souls just before His return at Armageddon (albeit, at great peril to themselves and those whom they lead to salvation; all will lose their lives, because of their faith; none will live to see the actual, physical return of their Lord). They will have to do this while facing the constant menace and life endangering threat of a hostile world that will not submit to a God it will then know is quite real; a wicked world spurred and led by the “crowned rider”, in one way or the other, until the beast usurps power, trumpeting his agenda, pushing his mark and promoting himself as “God”, the Almighty—able to stop and to right all the “wrongs” that will have been incurred thus far, owing to the acts and exhibitions of wrath administered by Him who is indeed, “God”. Furthermore, it is by the feet and voices of these men

Bible Prophecy Master Class, Part 2 by Alvin MitchellTexas TeaBlack Gold in Israel?(Isaiah 45:1-6)This is what Yahweh (Jehovah) says to His messiah (anointed), to Cyrus…I will give you a depository in darkness, a secret storehouse (a buried secret valuable) in a concealed or covert (place), so that you may know that I, Yahweh, who calls you by name, (am) the God of Israel. For the sake (benefit) of my servant Jacob, and that of Israel my chosen (one), I have called you by name…even though you don’t know Me…so that from the rising of the sun (in the east), and to (its setting in) the west, all others may know that there is none else beside Me…This prophecy is directed to Cyrus, the pagan Medo-Persian king who was entrusted with the responsibility of returning the Jews to their homeland following their seventy-year’ stint in captivity to the Babylonians. The irony here is, Cyrus never got the message! He lived and ruled during the latter years of Daniel, at the time of the end of the Babylonian captivity. Isaiah, who delivered the prophecy, lived approximately 200 years before the seventy years of deportation. Thus, God’s instruction to the prophet was, effectively, such that he was to speak to the king, but not directly (or, put another way, maybe even more accurately: the prophet Isaiah spoke at the king but not to him); not in his presence (this was fairly commonplace in Old Testament prophecies, when a message had long term significance, and so, was simply to be reduced to writing, as its realization would, or could only be read with appreciation in some generation to come). Nor were the Jews significantly benefited, beyond what might be considered the ordinary or norm, by Cyrus. So, what was the point? In defining the term “anointed” (messiah, maw-shee’-yach) used here, Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance adds that Cyrus’s position here is more a symbolic or figurative gesture, than a literal one, given that he never knew. That is, insofar as he never heard the prophecy, it is therefore only fitting to conclude that Cyrus as a “messiah” was so only as one who merely prefigured someone else who was to come, someone who in spirit or character would be not just similar to this Cyrus the king, but would be in a unique position so as to, per God’s Divine design, do the Jews a significant good. There is positively no record, biblical or otherwise, of this or any other king or person of any note performing this type of service on behalf of or in the interest of the people of God (not during the inter-testaments period, not during New Testament times, and at no point during the two-thousand-year interim period between then and now). No hidden treasures have ever been unearthed by any foreign power, since their release from Babylonian exile, only to be turned over to them. Yet, the historical record is clear: there is indeed plenty of precedent for just such a deed to occur. The Jews have a definite, dire need for just such a blessing. The Oilmen Cometh

At this point, still early in the unfolding of God’s choreographed end-times drama, hundreds of millions of souls (maybe more) are missing, vanished without a trace; bloodstained trails mar the paths to mass graves housing billions more (saints murdered, and sinners slaughtered during WWIII). By virtue of their witness of this human carnage, some having firsthand knowledge, if they did not participate in the aforementioned bloodletting—their stomachs turned—will have experienced a change of heart. Coupled with all the evidences that remind of the “snatch”, in the midst of bombed out, burning buildings, bodies and body parts lining streets of all the major cities around the world, smoke will ascend up into the upper atmosphere—from forest fires and oil fields set ablaze—further complicating life and making lives miserable by blocking the sun, thereby contributing to a throwing-off of the growing seasons. In the face of these and other horrifying sights, hard, heretofore, otherwise impenetrable hearts, impervious to the gospel message preached, will have softened tremendously. Traumatized minds will be flooded with streams of endless questions that will not suffer silence. Desperate searches in frantic quests for rational solutions will only be appeased by one unlikely source…the Bible. Chains of doubt, shackled to lost souls that locked God out (by whatever means, for whatever reason) will have been loosened, leaving fertile minds exposed to a faith oft spurned, and now at last ready for a harvest long held at bay. In full awareness of this, the Lord God will have already graciously, mercifully prepared a troop that will fish for their souls, well in advance of the rivers of blood in which their corpses will float during the reign, and the terror, of the dreaded beast (Rev. 13:1-18). War Moratorium God’s Choice: New Direction—Short Stick! Barring traditional Judaism, all practical knowledge of God will have been eliminated from the earth. Without benefit of a more direct involvement and input, Satan will appear to have won the battle (the telling, chilling cameo appearance of an angry Lamb of God at the end of chap. 6, notwithstanding). Every Christian “left behind” will then be completely useless (If Christ came for His church today—01/04/2013—the “left behind” could easily include perhaps 90 to 95% of all professing Christians!). All denominations and churches will be under the devil’s direct control and supervision—a definite impediment to anything God initiates and every soul that God will save, from here on out. “Left-behind” Christians (being false saints, false prophets and false preachers, in addition to “unproductive” true saints given to compromise, or who simply refuse to grow) will doubtless have been instrumental in the round up and slaughter of the first wave of “new converts”, specifically, those true Christians introduced to us, under the altar, in chap. 6. This being so, as is customary, the vision of the Lamb having dissipated, God will quietly shift gears here, changing course slightly, so as to lay the foundation for the next phase of His salvation program and process. His preference, like always, is to start in obscurity, in the least likely of places, in a corner where Satan is least likely to anticipate resistance, in a manner that is tantamount to always choosing, intentionally, the “short end of the stick”. That then begs the question: If the Old Testament Israeli/Jewish saints and the pre-tribulation churches are in Heaven, and, the first wave of tribulation saints are in the graves, how then will the work of evangelizing the second wave of lost souls be facilitated?

Good Health & Cosmetology:From a Sea Known for Death?Of all the mineral salts known to exist in the Sea of Salt region, those in highest concentration include Magnesium, Calcium, Bromide, Potassium, Sodium, Chloride, and Sulfur. Magnesium chloride (53%), potassium chloride (37%), and sodium chloride or common table salt (8%) are the most abundant, while the remainder occur chiefly in trace elements. One has yet to obtain current estimates as to the approximate net worth of the Dead Sea region, but its value seems to rest mainly in its ability to draw tourists and in mineral extraction. During the mid-70s, the estimated value of the roughly 50 mile long by 11-mile-wide pothole was set at around four times the net worth of the US, or greater than the four richest European nations combined (or, something like that! Memory now starting to fade! One article dated 02/17/1929 quoted Sir Herbert Samuel who put the net worth at around 4 billion dollars!).People who know about Israel’s Sea of Salt are drawn to it from all around the globe for a variety of reasons, not the least of which are medicinal, therapeutic, and cosmetic, shelter accommodation being provided by many first-class hotels after the order of the likes of the Hyatt. Jewish historian Flavius Josephus is said to have remarked, nearly 2000 years ago, something to the effect that the Dead Sea was worthy of praise, owing to the healing aspect and impact of its salts upon the human body. Thousands who suffer from psoriasis are said to have been treated effectively by the minerals-laden water, supplemented by a follow-up of bathing under a sun known to be gentler and kinder to exposed skin, nowhere else on earth (otherwise harmful solar radiation, some say, is blocked by an atmospheric oxygen level higher than any place else in the world). A bromine concentration 50 times greater than the open seas leaves one feeling relaxed, following a dip, while the magnesium level 15 times that of any ocean makes the skin smooth. Even this lake’s black mud, equally rich in minerals (heated to 117oF), is hailed as therapeutic and desirable as a treatment for physical ailments like arthritis. Cosmetic products from the Salt Sea are said to be highly prized, much sought after and sold all over the world. While one has never seen the movie (movies) about her, having only read something of her royal, short but sordid and miserable life today (04/08/05), it has been said that the supposedly brilliant Egyptian Queen Cleopatra built cosmetic and pharmaceutical factories in the area, having obtained rights of exclusivity. The Queen of Sheba, of King Solomon fame, was also a visitor almost one thousand years earlier.

Bible Prophecy Master Class, Part 3 by Alvin MitchellTribulation Christian Murders: Wave #1.The scene changes and the action ceases as the Lamb of God peels away the fifth seal, to reveal the fifth mystery written within the Scroll. It appears that the events of these first four seals represent the passage of a fair amount of time (clearly this time is not part of the seven last years, as will be seem later in the three “woes”, and in the Lord’s comments here), relatively speaking, since the first seal was opened; how much time, however, is not at all clear (one will therefore arbitrarily assume roughly one quarter of the apocalyptic period, at least). The presence of the souls of deceased saints under the altar (for their deaths will be precious in His eyes—Psalm 116:15), and their conversation with the Lamb, who is Lord of all, is on the other hand in itself revealing (This suggests quite handily, that upon dying, the saints—contrary to current evangelical teaching—do not automatically go directly into the literal presence of God; rather, they are in “Paradise”, the abode and temporary place of the “righteous” dead, as they await something akin to the “Bema Seat” Judgment—where all pre-trib saints will appear—Luke 23:43; John 20:17). These people represent the first wave of saints to be slaughtered following God’s merciless smashing of the US, followed hard by the crushing demise of the military might of the Russians, the EU, and the armies of the Muslim world (all of which will foment and facilitate the transfer of their power and wealth into the hands of the Jews.).There will be no experienced, seasoned Christians from before the beginning of the Apocalypse, as none will be brought over into this hellish time on earth (this, per God’s promise through the apostle Paul, recorded in 1 Thessalonians 5:9). They will all be “raptured” as they are all represented before John by the twenty-four elders, being in Heaven around the Throne (Revelation 5:8-10), encircling the Father, the Son (who is the Lamb) and the Spirit (whose omni-presence is portrayed as being sevenfold). Thus, the Christians appearing on earth after seal #1 are all both ‘born-again’ and murdered during the Tribulation. Which again, begs the question: Who are they, and how will they be saved, without a “seasoned” preacher…if only the left-behind church-rejects remain?As was the case during Martin Luther’s day, when there were no seasoned, veteran Christian churches as such to lead the protestants to the level of knowledge and understanding they sought (all were Roman Catholics, more or less), yet the church—splintered and fractured, yes—by the will of God was able to re-birth itself out of and separate from its catholic cocoon (where it lay dead, for 1000 years, or so), so likewise it is not the least inconceivable that certain key individuals left behind, perhaps those whom the churches could save now, if they would do their jobs, will be able to recognize immediately what has happened, why, and, drawing on what they know already, using Bibles they have on hand (of which there will likely be plenty), piece together enough information so as to rapidly grow their ranks, thereby saving themselves, and others, if not their families. The preachers then, will most probably have to come from within the rank and file of these “soft unbelievers”.

The Valley of Dry Bones: Israel Reborn To Nationhood!Before there could be any fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 & 39, there had first to be a nation of Israel (That such a nation would ever arise again was unlikely, even in the eyes of a Jew. That this nation would ever rise to the level of global hegemony must be something of a nightmare to those of the world of Islam and other Jew haters! Nonetheless, God says it is to be!). At the time of Ezekiel’s writing, the nation was largely ‘kaput’—that is, as the nation it was supposed to be, it did not exist. Israel, the northern kingdom, had been destroyed and carried off by the Assyrians, centuries earlier. Judah was in captivity, in Babylon…at the time of Ezekiel’s writing. The stage upon which the Christ would be born had yet to be set. Thus, the nation had to revive and die a second time, before Ezekiel’s confrontation could materialize. Dead though it was in Ezekiel’s day, die it would again, as we shall see.All the prophecies regarding the end-times are highly significant, worthy to be studied and mused upon by the child of God and student of scripture. None should ever be taken lightly. All, in context—being mindful of God’s heavy use of symbolism—can be taken literally. Perhaps the pinnacle of all the eschatological prophecies, it might be argued, is this one: the return of that most despised, beaten down, bruised and battered of all human beings from his lowly estate to sit once again as a people—in the face of all of his detractors—not just as a nation, but, to be actually ultimately elevated to a position so that his is—to the consternation of multitudes—above the nations. This will occur during the millennial reign, yes, but the Bible makes it clear it will occur as well before His return. All this, per the word and will of the Living God; his God, who Lives!—following two thousand years of often brutal, sometimes deadly mistreatment.

Bible Prophecy Master Class, Part 3 by Alvin MitchellSeal #2: World War III.International Infighting.Verse 3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. Verse 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. It is imperative to reiterate, and to stress, again, that (contrary to the thinking of so-called prophecy “experts” and teachers like pastor John MacArthur) the wars here mentioned are not and they have nothing to do with the Battle of Armageddon (in fact, if one may be so bold, such thinking as theirs and that of the general evangelical community, is not just ‘wrong’, it is in truth an outright lie!). This is not the end of the apocalyptic tribulation period, as rather it is the very “beginning”! Thus, this infighting of the nations amongst themselves all around the world is not to be equated with God’s gathering of the nations around Israel as detailed in the prophecies of Joel (chapter 3) and Zechariah (chapters 12 and 14), which gathering will indeed take place at the Battle of Armageddon, just prior to the coming of the Lord. Obviously, Israel is by no means the focus of their sore displeasure, as rather it is ‘they’ themselves. There is absolutely nothing anywhere in this context to suggest even remotely that their guns are or will be in anywise trained on the Lord Jesus Christ at His advent, per Revelation 17:12-13 (rather, at the Lamb’s manifestation of Himself looking down upon war-weary, battered and beleaguered men at the end of this chapter 6, they flee in terror at the sight of Him! No one dares lift a finger to fight.). On the contrary, each is out to kill his neighbor, and/or bring him into subjugation, whereupon, per the will and mind of Almighty God, they will further make shipwreck of mankind’s already extremely fragile system of global economics; much to His Supreme satisfaction (the lynch-pin in that system having already been demolished, at their hands, to their detriment; per His will (see Judgment Day, Volume 1; Prelude to Armageddon (Part 1): The United States of America in Bible Prophecy)!). Furthermore, it should also be stated that the sudden, apparently spontaneous appearance of Jesus Christ at the end of chapter 6 here is not to be construed with His coming in “clouds with great glory” (Matthew 24:27-30), which event is synonymous with Revelation 19:11-21 (thus, there will be no dispatch of angelic beings or “gathering of the elect”, given that at this commencement of the Apocalypse period, those saints have not yet been born-again, thus they have not yet been murdered, as they most assuredly will be, for their faith, per Revelation 6:9-11; 7:9-17; 12:11; 14:12-13; 15:2-4.). Upon the breaking of the Scroll’s second seal, John heard the voice of the second living creature around God’s Throne, the one having the calf’s face, booming out this same thunderous command, “come”. Afterwards, there appeared a red horse (upon which sat a rider) whose job it was, in tandem with the rider upon the white horse, to rid the world of peace, ushering in global unrest and war with his great sword. One should stress that this is not the Battle of Armageddon, contrary to popular evangelical/fundamentalist thought, nor does this international fighting take place in the middle of the last seven years of human history.

Signs are for our TimesNo Christian even as late as the year 1900 (even in America!) could ever have envisioned this day. Only the hardiest of the faithful as of 1950 might have had eyeballs capable of such reach. None of those having pioneered and laid the groundwork in their respective fields, could ever have imagined the need for the vision of the likes of upstarts Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Yet, where would we be today without them? To some degree, their work was paramount to the accomplishment of the biblical signs, if in no other way than that theirs opened up new ways and avenues into the world of computers for whole new generation of thinkers, geeks and tinkerers, that would not have been, had they not been. With those fresh minds came fresh ideas, most instrumental in the fomenting and fitting together of all the new pieces essential to the fabrication of the path leading to God’s Apocalypse. Amazingly, many in the flock, even in light of the gravity of their contributions and the attachment of myriads of ramifications thereof—manifested daily, playing constantly across the stage of life—still do not see; they just, don’t quite get it. The Apocalypse…is upon us—all of its main ingredients are in place; the die is cast, the type is set (yet, many a Bible tottin’, church going person…is not saved!)—all that is needful is a few finishing touches (regardless of when God actually decides to give the final “nod”, signaling, “it’s time. Bring the church home. Pull the plug! Open the flood gates”!). From this vantage point, one can virtually see the finish—though it is still at best a kind of “fuzzy logic”, at the end of a once completely darkened tunnel, one that grows ever brighter, with each setting sun. Although there are essentially no scriptures left to be fulfilled before the Lord Jesus’ invisible return to affect the Rapture (the “catching-up”) of His church prior to this awful, dreadful, closing chapter in the life of mankind as we know it (1 Thessalonians 4) and, although all or at the very least most all of the technological building blocks needed to facilitate those remaining, and leading over the threshold into this period are in place, there are, no less, a few scriptures that await the realization of the aforesaid ‘technological building-blocks’ and that must be fulfilled, before the Apocalypse can take place. All that is necessary from here is a kind of rounding out of rough edges, topped by a supplement of refinement (perhaps), followed up with the final “assembly”. Consider these scriptures:

Bible Prophecy Master Class, Part 3 by Alvin MitchellA number of things, false doctrine (I guess you might say), should be cleared up right here, right from the beginning, namely (contrary to the thinking of even well-known teachers like John MacArthur of the Grace to You Bible teaching broadcast):· The Seal, Trumpet and Bowl Judgments are not repetitions of the same events; that is, they are not references to one set of 7 events, stated in 3 different ways; in fact, the Trumpet Judgments simply cannot transpire until after the 7th Seal is opened, and the Bowls cannot and will not occur until after the 7th Trumpet; the nature of the events in each set of judgments do not in any way correspond, as each comes with its own signature, in terms of collateral damages, etc.· The rider on the white horse in Revelation 6 is not the beast, aka, the anti-Christ (or, one-world ruler) mentioned in chapters 11, 13 and 17· The events in chapter 6 are not the Battle of Armageddon· The rider on the white horse is not peddling peace; rather, by going out “conquering and to conquer”, his mission and his intention is to upend and to destroy whatever peace there is, which he is able to facilitate without personal involvement himself; thus, he “has no arrows”; he is or will be the instigator of all the wars amongst the nations· The conflicts and the fighting in chapter 6 is not a gathering of the nations at Armageddon to surround Israel (per the will of God), as rather this is a global melee in which the nations attack and fight each other, in their respective lands, not Israel· The appearance of Christ at the end of chapter 6 has nothing to do with His coming at ArmageddonAt this juncture, the mystery of the Scroll begins to unfold. Originally in the Hands of the One seated upon the Throne (God the Father), it is now in the competent Hands of God the Son, the Lamb, the only Being in the entire universe worthy to break its seals, so as to expose and set in motion the edicts of its contents. It contains the highlights of 21 major events, all judgments in three broad categories or groups of seven each. These major events are further delineated by 3 “woes”. The term ‘woe’ generally means “grief” or “affliction”. Its usage in this context of the Revelation is meant to preclude the overlapping or superimposition of any one group of judgments over another—that is, the Trumpets are not a restating of the Seals, and the Bowls do not happen at the same time as either the Seals or the Trumpets. All 21 major events and the “woes” characterize or spell out the requisite defining moments of this entire period of seven-years-plus we know as the Apocalypse, or the Great Tribulation Period (in evangelical/fundamentalist circles). Thus, this is a time of great judgment upon all mankind, designed to do several things (although in fact it is not merely a time of judgment, per se, in light of the attention given to evangelism as well, and the evident high anticipation/expectation as relates to two mass harvests of precious souls): 1) to gather up the remainder of the saints , 2) to force mankind to face the reality and the wrath of the Lamb and, 3) to prepare the remainder of rebel mankind for the humbling, submissive role he will play throughout the Millennial Reign.
