Ironman Competition Returns Next Weekend
Ranger Chris talks with Susan Pollock about the excitement surrounding the upcoming IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley, taking place June 14. With the race sold out and serving as the IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship, thousands of athletes will tackle a challenging 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and 13.1-mile run from Bald Eagle State Park to the finish line at Beaver Stadium. Susan explains why nearly 1,000 volunteers are needed to make the event possible, highlights the greatest volunteer needs along the bike and run courses, and shares why families and kids are especially encouraged to help.
