Ranger Chris talks with Lori McCann, Vice President of Marketing and Development for Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania, about the upcoming Centre County Walk With Me on Saturday, June 27, at Penns Prairie Park in Centre Hall. Lori shares how this fun, family-friendly one-mile walk helps support the Easterseals Child Development Center in State College, which provides an inclusive learning environment for children from six months through kindergarten. Registration includes a Walk With Me t-shirt, food, entertainment, and prizes. Learn how your participation can help children with disabilities thrive while enjoying a great day of community fun and support. 

 Ranger Chris talks with Susan Pollock about the excitement surrounding the upcoming IRONMAN 70.3 Pennsylvania Happy Valley, taking place June 14. With the race sold out and serving as the IRONMAN 70.3 North American Championship, thousands of athletes will tackle a challenging 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and 13.1-mile run from Bald Eagle State Park to the finish line at Beaver Stadium. Susan explains why nearly 1,000 volunteers are needed to make the event possible, highlights the greatest volunteer needs along the bike and run courses, and shares why families and kids are especially encouraged to help. Holly Oxendale and Kristin Macafee stopped by to talk about the upcoming Remembrance Ruck Challenge — a powerful community fundraiser supporting Tides and honoring loved ones we’ve lost. Inspired by the life and legacy of Centre County community member Dale Miller, the event brings people together to walk, remember, and support those navigating grief. Holly and Kristin shared how participants can carry a name, photo, or memory along the route while raising awareness and funds for Tides’ compassionate grief support programs. The event is being organized by members of the Leadership Centre County Class of 2026. 

Ranger Chris highlights One Night on Broadway, happening Monday, May 18th at the Playhouse Theatre. The special evening features performances from alumni and special guests, bringing the excitement of Broadway to the local stage.
