Thanks a Lot, Canada
Somehow this episode starts with smoke from Canadian wildfires...and ends with one of the most honest conversations we've ever had about grief.Bill and Doug cover everything from hazy skies, speeding tickets, golf tournaments, Uber stories, and a prostitute with surprisingly flexible pricing...to autism awareness, why we all think we're better drivers than we actually are, and the strange ways life reminds us that we're not nearly as in control as we'd like to believe. Then the conversation takes an unexpected turn.Bill opens up about giving the eulogies for his grandmother and father, the lesson his son learned from seeing his dad cry for the first time, and why maybe we should stop waiting until someone's funeral to tell them what they mean to us.It's funny. It's ridiculous. It's surprisingly heartfelt. Basically...it's Billified.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! 79 Years. Zero Filter. One Incredible Life.
What started as a graduate school assignment turned into one of the most meaningful conversations I've ever recorded. On her 79th birthday, my mom, Marge, sat down with me for an honest conversation about childhood, self-esteem, resilience, marriage, raising a family, divorce, purpose, growing older, and why it's never too late to keep becoming who you're meant to be.As part of my Human Development coursework, I was asked to interview an older adult. What I got instead was a masterclass in perspective. We talk about overcoming the voices that tell you you're not enough, the people who believed in us when we couldn't believe in ourselves, the lessons that only come with lived experience, and why aging isn't about getting old—it's about getting wiser.Whether you're raising kids, caring for aging parents, figuring out your own life, or simply wondering what really matters in the end, this conversation will stay with you.Happy 79th Birthday, Mom... and thank you for a lifetime of lessons.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Wrong Number, Right Fight: Text Wars, Dad Guilt & Why Doug Needed an Apology
Bill and Doug are back together and things go exactly where you’d expect — completely off the rails. Bill shares the bizarre text exchange with a stranger that started as a misunderstanding and ended with one of the most outrageous responses ever sent. Doug explains why he would never mess with a random texter, which naturally leads to debating whether everyone is secretly one bad text away from disaster. The guys also recap their very different Fourth of July experiences. Bill reflects on his grandfather, Budweiser, homemade fireworks, and why the holiday still hits differently years later. Doug opens up about his mom’s birthday falling on the Fourth and why grief can sneak up even when you think you’re ready. Then the episode takes a classic Billified turn — from laughs to something real. Bill revisits a heated debate from a previous episode where he went after Doug’s opinion on kids, accountability, and work ethic. After sitting with it, Bill realizes his reaction had less to do with Doug and more to do with his own experiences as a father, raising a son on the autism spectrum, and learning that sometimes strength is not about pushing harder — sometimes it’s knowing when someone needs a break.Funny, uncomfortable, honest, and ridiculous…exactly what happens when two longtime friends stop trying to win arguments and actually listen.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! BITE SIZE: Deviled Egg Origins & The Four B's & MILF Manor Reviews
Bill went back in the vault two years ago to bring you this gem. This was right after the guys met Rebecca one half of our 2 Fit Chicks, and watched her on MILF Manor and the introduction toDougie's legendary Deviled Eggs!Bill plays a cautionary news clip about the three B's to avoid fireworks mishaps, including a shocking story about a grown man who permanently difigured himself with fireworks a few days ago! The group then discusses their holiday plans, with Doug hilariously volunteering to make deviled eggs for Mark to take to a party—a suggestion Bill finds bizarrely amusing. The episode takes a turn to the courtroom as Bill updates on Michele Marini, the former Greece Deputy Supervisor, who appeared with a noticeably different hairstyle. Is it a wig? Could it be due to comments made on Billified?Bill also delves into the curious phenomenon of large tips left at restaurants, sharing a tale of a generous $3,000 “Tips for Jesus” gratuity that was later retracted. Finally, Mark and Doug, both experienced bartenders, go head-to-head in a hilarious game of "Little Kid or Drunk Adult.Enjoy laughs, lively discussions, and a bit of 4th of July prep! What It Actually Means to Be American: A First Generation Story
Bill spent the Fourth of July at the Pacone family cookout and asked Wally, owner of Omero's Fine Men's Clothing in Rochester, one question: what was it like growing up as the only one in his family born in the United States? Wally's parents came from Italy in 1954, in their forties, speaking no English, with six boys and a plan. Wally became the family translator at eight years old, pulled out of school to take his mother shopping and to doctor's appointments. His father never fully learned the language. His mother learned enough. They worked, conformed, built a family, and put their kids through college. That was the whole goal. As the country celebrates its two hundred and fiftieth birthday, Bill and Wally talk about what it actually costs to start over in a place where you do not know the language, the rules, or anyone who can help you.America is still the place people come to for the opportunity to choose their own life. Wally's family proved it.Happy Fourth. Tell a friend. That's how we spread the word about the pirate ship.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Doug Gets Roasted, Uber Gets Rated & Everything Goes Sideways
Doug is back... and Bill wastes absolutely no time making him regret it.The conversation starts in the most Billified way possible—with the bizarre history of the merkin—before swerving into Uber horror stories, wedding DJ disasters, Elvis impersonators, Barry Manilow jingles, Fourth of July traditions, and whether Doug is secretly becoming Rochester's grumpiest Uber driver. Then, out of nowhere, things get surprisingly deep. Bill and Doug tackle parenting, work ethic, anxiety, modern culture, raising resilient kids, and why a little flexibility might go a lot further than another rule. They don't agree on everything, which makes for one of their funniest—and most honest—back-and-forth conversations yet. It's a rollercoaster of sharp observations, ridiculous stories, genuine laughs, and one question that lingers long after the jokes stop: Are we making life harder than it needs to be?Come for the pubic hair history lesson. Stay for the friendship, fireworks, and Doug surviving another episode... barely.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! The Best Revenge Is Becoming You
Sometimes life kicks the hell out of you... and sometimes that's exactly what launches your next chapter.Bill and Dan dive into Bill's appearance on Brother Wease's podcast, reflecting on a 30-year radio career, the painful ending that didn't define him, and why starting over may be his greatest skill. Along the way they tackle whether great artists tap into a shared consciousness, why grit matters more than talent, and whether "nepo babies" ever have a fair shot. Then things get interesting.A viral article about the "Divorce Glow-Up" sends Bill on a passionate rant about personal responsibility, people-pleasing, boundaries, and why your transformation probably has less to do with divorce than finally choosing yourself. Is your ex really the reason you stopped going to the gym... or did you simply stop showing up for yourself? It's funny, vulnerable, philosophical, occasionally uncomfortable, and filled with the kind of conversations that make you laugh... then quietly rethink your own life.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Midget Wrestling, Demon Suckers & Bad Decisions
What do midget wrestling, Phil Mickelson's alleged nude selfie, celebrity look-alikes, AI taking over the world, demon-removing pastors, and a paper plate award all have in common?Absolutely nothing... which is exactly why this episode works.Bill, Mark, Laura and Kevin somehow turn a review of the worst midget wrestling event ever produced into a full-blown discussion about why people make spectacularly terrible decisions. Along the way you'll hear about Mark's forgotten employee award, Bill's bizarre Facebook admirer, Laura getting relentlessly hit on by a mover while covered in sweat, Kevin proving once again that no topic is too inappropriate for a perfectly-timed one-liner, and everyone discovering which celebrity they supposedly resemble (some of these comparisons should honestly be investigated). Then things get weird...The crew dives into Phil Mickelson's alleged off-course behavior, why fame convinces some people the rules no longer apply, pastors allegedly "sucking demons out" of people (yes... that's really a conversation), whether AI could accidentally help trigger the apocalypse, and which member of the podcast would actually survive if the power grid collapsed.Think you've got a great ear for music? Play along with another round of Cover Song Name That Tune, where the gang puts your music knowledge to the test. See if you can identify the original artist before they do.It's equal parts comedy, chaos, psychology, conspiracy theories, brutally honest conversations, and the kind of off-the-rails banter that somehow makes complete sense after about ten minutes. As always, nothing is scripted, nobody is safe, someone probably should have stopped this conversation long before it reached demon blowjobs and cyber warfare... and if you can beat the panel at Cover Song Name That Tune, you might just be smarter than this entire podcast.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! He's Why Rochester Is a Comedy City
What happens when comedians become the last people allowed to tell the truth?Bill sits down with Comedy at the Carlson's Mark Ippolito for a hilarious, behind-the-scenes conversation about building Rochester's first-ever comedy festival, booking comedy legends, bombing on stage, surviving the pandemic, cancel culture, and why laughter might be the one thing we all desperately need.Along the way they swap stories about Andrew Dice Clay, Tim Meadows, BJ Shea, Daisy Dukes, the insanity of COVID restrictions, Pride, why comics are some of the smartest people in the room, and how a comedy festival is raising money for local cancer organizations. It's funny, nostalgic, occasionally controversial, and proof that sometimes the best therapy is sitting around with your funniest friends laughing until you can't breathe.Comedy isn't dying... it's fighting back.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Instagram Divorcees & Bad Decisions
Episode DescriptionFrank Sinatra used to sing about cheating like it was romantic. Today you'd need burner phones, deleted texts, and a really good lawyer. In this episode, Bill and Dan spiral into one of their funniest conversations yet—from why Instagram has become the Olympics for divorced people over 45, to why alcohol convinces perfectly normal adults that lighting fireworks off their heads or escaping police through an alligator swamp is somehow a solid strategy.Along the way they dissect social media vanity, terrible relationship decisions, country music, fireworks, body cam footage, "hold my beer" logic, and why every one of us is living in the director's cut of our own lives while everyone else is watching the security camera footage. Then the conversation takes an unexpected turn.Is karma actually real... or is it just something we tell ourselves because we desperately want life to keep score? Bill argues that the universe doesn't hand out rewards and punishments, while Dan offers a different perspective rooted in faith. The result is a funny, thought-provoking conversation about justice, belief, human nature, and why so many of us are waiting for karma to do a job it may have never applied for.Equal parts hilarious, brutally honest, and surprisingly philosophical, this episode bounces from Frank Sinatra to Instagram "divorcees," alligators, fireworks, bad decisions, and the meaning of karma—proving once again that no conversation on Billified stays where it started.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Gout in the Streets, Existential Crisis in the Sheets
Doug rolls into the studio wearing a knee brace and carrying a fresh case of gout, which immediately sends Bill into a comedy feeding frenzy. What starts as a discussion about the "disease of kings" somehow spirals into wedding DJ horror stories, dating after divorce, cat-ear-wearing teenagers, prostate scares, why nobody dresses up anymore, and the three things almost every man is chasing his entire life.Along the way, Bill and Doug tackle a surprisingly deep question: Is karma real, or is life simply reflecting back whatever you believe? Billified Bite - Gout in the Streeets, Existential Crisis in the Sheets
It's a conversation about getting older, finding your place, fixing what's broken, and figuring out why so many men would rather spend three hours repairing a lawnmower than talk about their feelings.Part stand-up routine, part barroom philosophy, part accidental therapy session—this episode has everything from medieval diseases and strip club stories to life advice you didn't know you needed. And yes... Aggy Dune: More Alike Than Different
Bill sits down with legendary Rochester drag queen Aggy Dunne for a conversation that’s funny, thoughtful, and occasionally gloriously uncomfortable—in the best possible way. They tackle Pride Month, social media outrage, flags, identity, growing up different, and why people spend so much energy fearing the “sparkly ones.”Along the way: George Carlin, monster trucks, Watkins Glen, drag queens as community ambassadors, and Bill shares some deeply personal stories about shame, authenticity, and learning that curiosity beats outrage every time.Turns out most of us have a lot more in common than the internet would like us to believe. Also, apparently drag queens deliver candy canes during Pride Month. Who knew?Come for the laughs. 53 Years of Waiting… and Someone Set a Bus on Fire
The Knicks finally did it—and New York City lost its collective mind.Bill welcomes Kevin in-studio and Technical Producer Alex live from NYC as they unpack the Knicks' first championship in 53 years. Alex takes us inside the electric atmosphere of Manhattan, from Upper West Side watch parties to the city-wide eruption after the win. But why does celebrating a title sometimes involve flipping from joy to destruction? The crew dives into the darker side of fandom, including vandalism, violence, and the brutal beating of a Spurs fan that left Alex shaken. Then Bill shifts gears: public arguments between couples. After witnessing two very different relationship meltdowns, he explains why one couple might actually be healthier than the other—and what healthy conflict really looks like. Also: Alex gets interrupted by a mysterious building buzzer, Bill revisits his favorite Jennifer Lopez rom-com scene (and favorite word), Kevin strongly disagrees, and Alex finally pulls back the curtain on Billified—revealing what drives podcast growth, what quietly kills shows, and what occasionally drives her crazy about Bill and Kevin. They wrap things up the only way Billified can: with a chaotic round of Name That Tune: Cover Song Edition.Sports. Billified Bite: My Prostate, My Stress & The FCC Complaint That Broke My Dad
Bill gets surprisingly personal in this Billified Bite.A recent health scare forces him to confront something he's been ignoring for years: stress. Not the obvious, "I'm busy" kind of stress—but the constant background noise that quietly follows us through life and may be affecting us more than we realize.Bill opens up about a health issue he's been dealing with, discusses how stress may be playing a role, and shares some of the challenges he's facing that he chooses not to discuss publicly out of respect for the people involved.Along the way, he tells the absolutely true story of the time his father was so upset about something Bill revealed on the radio that he actually filed a complaint with the FCC.Bill also wonders why doctors seem perfectly comfortable sending terrifying test results directly to your phone before anyone explains what they mean, shares how he handles those moments, and offers practical strategies that may help all of us manage stress a little better. Then things take a turn toward swearing.Specifically, Bill's favorite swear word—the one that once earned him a slap across the face. He discovers a fascinating explanation for why some words hit so hard, where that explanation came from, and reveals a side of himself that listeners rarely get to see.Stress, health scares, family stories, questionable language choices, and a little self-discovery.Just another Billified Bite.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! The Lies We Tell Ourselves & When Emotion Beats Judgement
Three quarters of the table went to see Teddy Swims at CMAC. Kevin did not get hungover. He never gets hungover. He would like that on the record. Bill talked to a woman walking into the concert. He was just chatting. Jameson was there. Nothing happened. The concert recap runs through Teddy Swims, Chris Stapleton, whether George Strait has ever written a song, Laura's mom spending three weeks on a sailboat with a man she is not romantically interested in, and Kevin peeing exactly once the entire night. One pee. Four hour concert. He held it like a champion. Then Bill brings a story. Amanda Katz, 55 years old, school administrator in Roswell Georgia, charged with repeated sexual contact with a 16 year old student. Between Christmas and Valentine's Day she and this kid exchanged 19,585 texts. That is somewhere between 100 and 400 texts a day. Mark looked her up. She looks like a regular person. Bill's question is not about the crime. It is about what story someone is telling themselves to get there. We can rationalize almost anything when emotion gets stronger than judgment. The kid's family was invited to Valentine's Day dinner. She had a Jaguar. Nobody runs to Buffalo. That becomes a real conversation about attention versus love, obsession versus love, and what happens when a 55 year old woman with a doctorate decides a 16 year old student is worth throwing everything away for. It connects back to all of it. The lies we tell ourselves. I'll only go for an hour. I'm giving up women. Just two drinks. Laura almost spent twenty five hundred dollars wine bidding on a Josh Allen jersey. Mark bought a thirty five hundred dollar banjo drunk at happy hour twenty five years ago and woke up with it in his bed. Bill almost spent five grand on a bottle of whiskey at a charity auction. The table has receipts on everyone. Kevin's music game closes the night. Fleetwood Mac. Jumping Jack Flash. Alanis. Beat It. Eddie Murphy doing I'm a Believer for Shrek. Mark knows things he should not know. New episodes of Billified drop Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Call or text at 585-206-8866. Follow us on Facebook, X, and Instagram at Billified_pod. Motivated? Or Just Posting Memes?
On this solo episode of Billified, Bill's mind is all over the place...which is exactly where the best conversations start.A college buddy brings Bill a gift that sparks memories of questionable college decisions and reminds him why maintaining real friendships matters more than ever in an increasingly isolated world. Then Bill recounts accidentally dropping an F-bomb while on stage at a charity event for middle school girls basketball and begins wondering if podcasting has permanently damaged his ability to speak in public. From there, Bill dives into the endless stream of motivational memes and social media wisdom clogging our feeds. Are people posting them because they need the reminder, want the attention, or are secretly taking shots at someone named Corey? Bill has thoughts. The episode wraps with a conversation about motivation, discipline, personal growth, showing up for people, and why the folks who seem to have their lives together probably didn't get there by reposting inspirational quotes.Real friendships. Real conversations. Real growth. And at least one completely unnecessary F-bomb.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Camping, Porn Bans & Pubic Hair Research
Bill welcomes Kevin, Laura and Mark to the studio and Kevin is already coming in HOT after a camping weekend that may have included enough alcohol to legally preserve meat. While Laura arrives fresh from an exercise class and Bill questions why hungover middle-aged men treat bagels like emergency medical equipment, the crew dives into the difference between discipline and chaos as we age. Then things get appropriately weird. The crew tackles the UK’s new porn restrictions, freedom, government overreach, modern addiction and whether society can actually trust people to regulate themselves anymore. This somehow spirals perfectly into Mark’s dating life, trust issues, modern fear, confidence and why Bill thinks Mark may need to stop outsourcing his love life like a nervous middle manager.Laura, meanwhile, remains unapologetically authentic and absolutely sends the group into chaos after texting her girlfriends to investigate an extremely important question involving pubic hair trends in 2026.Plus a brand new winner is crowned during Name That Tune! This episode has camping regret, dating paranoia, freedom debates, emotional damage, breakfast sandwiches and investigative journalism nobody asked for.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! From wearable tech and health anxiety to baseball analytics, longevity gurus, and the stories we tell ourselves about getting older, Bill and Dan explore the fine line between being informed and becoming obsessed. They also share some old radio war stories, reflections on family, and a reminder that sometimes the best way to live life is to stop tracking it and actually experience it.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Everybody’s One Bad Day Away
Bill welcomes bartender, Uber driver, the man who wakes up to life like it’s a scratch-off ticket, Doug Phelps, back to the studio for one of the most relatable and hilarious episodes yet.Bill explains how a married couple secretly signed him up for Match.com after hearing him talk about blowing it with a woman on a previous episode… creating a chain reaction involving confused women, disappearing matches, questionable profile photos, and an algorithm that now believes Bill is one divorce away from becoming a sugar daddy.Bill and Doug dive into the strange reality of modern dating apps, why online dating is basically buying a used car online, and how every app designed for “connection” somehow ends with people just trying to get laid. Doug also drops several questionable jokes that he finds absolutely hilarious… leaving Bill scratching his head more than once. The conversation shifts into why society suddenly feels emotionally flammable. From fights breaking out at beaches again nearly 15 years after Bill helped launch “Rockin’ the Beach” to restore peace in the area… to adults brawling at kindergarten graduations over saved seats while children rehearse in another room. What happened? Why does every public space suddenly need unofficial adult supervision? Are people overwhelmed, disconnected, exhausted… or just losing the ability to regulate themselves? The conversation shifts into why society suddenly feels emotionally flammable. The Couple Nobody Wants There
The crew is FINALLY back together and within minutes it completely goes off the rails in the most Billified way possible.Bill welcomes Mark, Kevin and Laura back to the studio and immediately realizes something terrible…he (and basically the podcast) missed both Dan AND Laura’s birthdays. In true Bill fashion, he now has a plan to bring everyone together this Summer…which somehow spirals into a hilarious conversation about cookouts, weddings, plus-ones and the one friend whose significant other nobody can stand.Inspired by the rumors surrounding Taylor Swift’s wedding guest rules, the crew dives into the uncomfortable truth every adult friend group knows: there’s always THAT couple. Do you say something? Do you quietly avoid them all Summer? Or…are YOU actually the person everyone secretly hopes doesn’t show up?Things get even weirder when the conversation shifts to polyamory, open relationships and why younger generations seem far more comfortable rewriting the rules of relationships entirely. Laura helps explain what polyamory actually is, Bill wonders if polyamorous people are simply more honest than everyone else, and the crew debates whether dating apps and infinite options have permanently changed commitment, love and emotional dependence. Also in this episode:Are people STILL vague-booking on social media? Why does one person on this show always know where the drama is?The alternative rideshare app Laura thinks her boyfriend would absolutely useMark asking Bill to call a VERY well-known woman to see if she’ll go out with himA voicemail gets left…Will she call back?Plus a wildly competitive round of Name That TuneSummer officially starts here and the chemistry of this crew reminds you exactly why people love Billified. Dreams Don’t Expire
Bill sits down with Rochester native and Elvio Fernandes for one of the most inspiring and grounded conversations Billified has ever had. From growing up in a loud Portuguese family where music was everywhere, to building Roc Star Academy, to nearly not getting the audition that changed his life forever, Elvio’s story proves dreams do not come with an expiration date.Elvio opens up about the influence his grandfather had on his life, the sacrifices families quietly make behind every dream, and what it’s really like balancing life as a husband, father, business owner and touring musician with Daughtry. He shares how being pursued by Brian McKnight unexpectedly led him to the opportunity that would land him in Daughtry, plus what life on the road is REALLY like when the crowd goes home and the buses keep rolling. Bill and Elvio also dive into why talent alone is never enough, how consistency separates dreamers from doers, and why betting on yourself gets harder — and more important — as life piles on responsibility. There’s even a surprise moment where Bill plays music from his son Jameson for Elvio, leading to honest advice every young musician (and parent) needs to hear. This episode is funny, real, emotional and packed with wisdom for anyone who’s ever wondered if it’s “too late” to chase the thing they love.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Billified Bite - Dreams Don’t Expire
Camping Indoors
Dan returns to the studio and Bill opens with a story about one of his sons… not the son Dan was expecting — to be fair, Bill has three. What starts as a simple request for curtain rods and wine quickly turns into a full-blown HGTV emergency involving Dollar General curtains, no measurements, no plan, stressed parents visiting, and Bill spending $200 just to participate in failure.Bill and Dan hilariously break down modern adulthood, fake independence, “Instagram life” culture, and why so many people want the aesthetic before the infrastructure. From apartments assembled like hostage videos to grown adults surviving entirely on vibes, Celsius and panic, the conversation gets painfully relatable. The guys also dive deep into Buffalo Bills fandom, sports talk radio culture, and why football may be the last socially acceptable emotional release for grown men. Dan gives real insight into the Bills, the new stadium, current players and the hope — and trauma — that comes with being a Buffalo fan.Things get raw when Bill opens up about painful experiences from his past in a way he never has before. Funny, edgy, brutally honest and unexpectedly powerful… that’s Billified.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Fake Bill Gets More Matches Than Real Bill
Bill welcomes comic, bartender, DJ and full-time wildcard Doug Phelps back to the studio and opens with one of the strangest messages he has ever received: a woman on Match.com reached out asking Bill out for drinks… except Bill isn’t on Match. Turns out someone created a fake dating profile using Bill’s actual photos. The guys turn the bizarre situation into a hilarious conversation about fake online identities, modern dating, catfishing, loneliness, AI and whether the fake version of ourselves online is actually better than the real thing. Then things somehow get even weirder as Bill and Doug discuss the true story of a Missouri man accused of sabotaging a Mississippi River levee to keep his wife stranded so he could continue partying and seeing other women. It becomes a funny but surprisingly insightful conversation about avoidance, relationships and the catastrophic lengths people go to avoid uncomfortable conversations. The episode also includes Doug explaining why men are now getting surgery to intentionally give themselves cauliflower ear, an update on Doug’s Summer golf tournament plans, a classic Doug joke, and a brutally funny breakdown of the ridiculous things men pretend to love as they get older.Funny, edgy, self-aware and completely unhinged in the most Billified way possible.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day! Everybody’s Toxic… and Rich People Call It Wellness
Bill welcomes Dan for a wild, funny and surprisingly deep conversation about the modern obsession with labeling people “toxic,” why every failed relationship suddenly needs a therapy diagnosis, and whether heartbreak plus technology has turned everybody into private investigators. The guys dive into the bizarre arrest of Street Outlaws star Daddy Dave and unpack how social media, GPS tracking and constant digital access have changed relationships forever. Then things go completely off the rails as Bill explores the hilarious truth that rich and poor people often do the EXACT same things… society just changes the wording depending on the bank account. From “van life” to “wine tastings” to “digital detoxes,” this episode is raw, edgy, brutally honest and painfully relatable.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support.Watch the full episode on YouTube by searching Billified and support the pirate ship by clicking here https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/billified-the-bill-moran-podcast--5738193/support Thank you for making us a part of your day!
