Here comes Eddie George and Tennessee State
North Dakota State will attempt to win a 26th consecutive home opener Saturday when Tennessee State makes its debut at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome. The second ranked Bison will enter relatively healthy after a 31-26 loss to Colorado last Thursday night. Quarterback Cam Miller is coming off a Missouri Valley Offensive Player of the Week game, combining for three touchdowns and throwing for 277 yards. The NDSU defense will have to contend with former Ohio Valley Conference rookie of the year Draylen Ellis. The TSU quarterback threw for 356 yards and three touchdowns in the Tigers season-opening win over Mississippi Valley State. TSU is led by former Heisman Trophy winner Eddie George, who is in his fourth year of leading the Tigers. George had high praise for Miller earlier this week, calling him, "the best quarterback we've seen in our time here." Jalal Dean is a talented wide receiver, the former Tennessee Tech Eagle transferred to Tennessee State and had a big debut, going for 144 yards and a touchdown last week. The Forum's Mike McFeely and WDAY's Dom Izzo preview the matchup and look ahead to other spotlight games in the FCS this weekend.

Cole Wisniewski's status up in the air for 2024
North Dakota State is on the back end of fall camp and All-American safety Cole Wisniewski has yet to practice. That's a serious concern for a Bison defense that is going to be tested immediately by Heisman Trophy contender and Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way standout Travis Hunter. Bison head coach Tim Polasek said Tuesday that they will know about Wisniewski's status in the next 10 to 14 days. WDAY's Dom Izzo and The Forum's Jeff Kolpack discuss what's next and who could be a potential replacement for Wisniewski.
