Michele joins Darek and Kelly in the studio for the first official "Talkin' Balls" segment. There is much robust debate over whether there are more doors or more wheels in the world while Butchie and Maisel run tight security in the BCP studio. 

In an earlier than usual recording time, Darek and Kelly tackle tough topics like global health crises, PO box eggs, and anniversary toilet seats. The bell is working overtime this week.  

Refreshed after a vacation in sunny Florida, Darek joins Kelly in the studio where they quickly realize they're both in a wonky mood and are fighting for their lives during this episode.  Thank you to our pal Mel for the shout-out and to the new listeners. Welcome aboard! 

From astronauts circling the Moon to hobbies that promote joy and/or foot bruises, Darek and Kelly cover a wide range of topics of no particular importance. Back from their Dry January podcast hiatus, Kelly and Darek do their best to find the humor in a not-so-humorous world these days.  When the day begins with a one-person hip hop kitchen dance party, things can only get better. Or worse.  Your hosts briefly discuss the perils of social media and discuss their hobbies, one of which suprised Darek.  

With Kelly and Darek filled with anxiety and Christmas cheer, 4 minutes of accidental copyright infringements set the proper for this episode. Not entirely sure your hosts are recording, they cover the usual holiday topics such as buying a tree, party-germ etiquette, and of course, George Michael. Happy Holidays from us to you! 

Minor tech issues continue to plague the Bitter Coffey studio but Kelly's requests for new mics fall on deaf ears. Darek and special guest Michele Palardy provide the support Kelly needs as she loses her already weak grasp on the English language.  Darek names the positive vibes during recording this episode while discussing the fact that most cartoon characters refuse to wear pants.  Shout out to new listeners Sophia and Ciara! 

After a COVID-induced break from recording, Darek and Kelly are back in the studio with mics in need of replacement. Kelly explains her process for recalling songs for which she doesn't know the lyrics, and Darek shares his extensive cookie marketing magic.  The hosts take a crack at streaming platform rebranding, which quickly goes sideways. Longtime friends and longtime listeners Colyer and Shemmy join the show by phone to test a variety of edgy (some might even say exotic) potato chips. No one remembered to take a pic of the chips in the studio, mostly because Darek was overwhelmed by sodium and Kelly was distracted by tote bags.  

Darek and Kelly reflect on an emotionally difficult week, hoping to bring some levity despite the current state of the world right now.  A shared admiration for Toto's "Rosanna" is revealed, and longtime friend and longtime listener Colyer experiences a less-than-warm welcome in Croatia while trying to buy potato chips.  A simple online inquiry at a car dealership tests boundaries, and as per usual, simple volume settings continue to plague your hosts. 

Darek & Kelly joined forces and made the Champlain Valley Fair a family event this year.  Kelly eases into life as an elder fair-goer and Darek reflects on the high cost of fun and the need for increased goat-safety protocols. Both Taylor Swift and the Tooth Fairy prompt some real talk, and Darek's discovery of the adjustbility of the mics might make the show sound taller.

Kelly and Darek return to the mic to discuss Darek's juggling prowess and Kelly proves her talent for music trivia is fleeting at best. Darek offers a brief yet impactful grammar lesson and Kelly learns that it's difficult to sneeze without moving. Back from their unplanned/sort of planned summer hiatus, Kelly and Darek are back in the studio, ripping through topics in their usual fashion. Kelly spends entirely too much time talking about basement insulation and Darek spends entirely too little time talking about watching 90's rap videos in his car. 

After a series of editing mishaps, this recording was accidentally deleted and eventually recovered. Kelly and Darek are going to avoid pushing their luck so we're going to just share this episode of Bitter Coffey right now before anything else happens to it.  

After nearly cutting off her finger with a lesbian pocketknife, Kelly and co-host Darek give shoutouts to new listeners, work through the joy(s) of hat-buying and hat-wearing, and read some AI-generated emails. The descerning listening will be able to hear the exact moment your hosts use the last of their mental and physical energy. 

Michele from the Palardy Foundation sits in on the third mic, where Darek and Kelly flip through Michele's high school diaries. Kelly got trapped in her own belt several times last week without an escape technique, and Darek shares his frustrations working with a teenage salesperson at a car dealership. Butchcie and Maisel join the show, and tensions are high between Kelly and Alexa. 

Darek and Kelly decide that drinking Zero Sugar Dr Pepper during an early morning recording session would be a great idea. Many listeners could easily argue to the contrary. As Kelly's podcast editing skills continue to improve, so do Darek's novice DJ skills. Podcasting jerks Darek and Kelly have returned from their extended hiatus and now that Kelly is living back in Vermont, these random recording sessions may become a bit less random and less echoey as their tech skills slowly return.  Darek and Kelly are clunky, they are rusty, and they are back.

New year, same bunch of dorks. Kelly, Darek and Tim return to discuss a revolutionary new diet craze. Kelly introduces the show's potential 4th co-host, Joyce, the ghost of her home's previous owner, and the crew reveal the core motivation for returning to the microphone - ritualistic sports mascot sacrifice. Kelly, Darek and Mitchel Thunderbutt (aka Tim Chang) are back after Darek finally faced his demons and figured how Descript, nee Squadcast, works. Tim shares his new passion project with his nephew, known as emoji-stories. Kelly ruminates about the horrors our driveway cameras capture, and unleashes the terror of 1970s Grimace upon her co-hosts and you, fair listeners. Creature conversations continue as our hosts go deep on canon Sesame Street characters and their applicability to socks and pitch a remake of St. Elmo's Fire starring Elmo. A careful eye is lent to the lack of quality control on the set of the Jaws films, the crew dares delve into the cultural significance of the Kansas City Chiefs, and not in the way you think, and Kelly shares the greatest name in rowboat history.

In this Chang-less episode of Bitter Coffey, Kelly forgets how to do a show intro and Darek provides a dad-specific perspective of July 4th fireworks.  Kelly and Darek explore a very questionable Etsy purchase that occured after taking a sedative.  

With a brand new "Podcaster Machine" up and running, Kelly, Darek, and Tim are back at it to discuss meme exchanges as an accurate measure of friendship, and commercials about "hand pills."  Tim shares his feelings surrounding the stress of playing cribbage, and  Darek's childhood memories of the TV show "Alf" are crushed with a single Google search. 

With COVID and pneumonia in our rearview mirror, Darek and Kelly welcome a new permanent third co-host to the show.  Darek takes several hits like a champ for a technical issue that none of us caught, Kelly is easily the worst birdwatcher on the Seacoast, and Tim dazzles us with a collab with Ron from Ron's Automotive.  We, and that Glossy Ibis, are back. 

In yet another episode where we forget to thank the Palardy Foundation, Darek and Tim are joined by musician and our intro & outro music creator Tim Chang.  Topics include Kelly's melotonin dreams, Darek's work-related, on-the-fly microphone skills and Tim's experience with "Business Chinese." 

Kelly and Darek establish a pattern that could be viewed as recording on a consistent basis, taking a deep dive into Rhianna's halftime show, Kelly's obsession with hold music, and Darek's new responsibilities as an Oatfluencer. 

With improved sound and some new boom arms, Kelly and Darek discuss Lesbian Bird Watching, the whimsical days of MySpace, and introduce their listeners to a new game to play on road trips or your daily commute.  Big thanks to Tim Chang for being a musical miracle. 

After a series of schedule conflicts and chainsaws, Kelly and Darek return to their respective studios for their first NH-VT podcast.  With topics ranging from Woodstock babies to extreme weather, both hosts are willing to overlook the lack of sound quality due to Kelly's mic deciding to take the day off.  We hope you will overlook it, too.

In a world where no good deed goes unpunished, Kelly shares her experience of getting yelled at for returning a lost wallet and Darek explains why closed-captioned TV is his only option. Proper orgy scheduling is explored, and Darek develops a new term for the garbage on a neighbor's lawn.  

Friend, Chang Report host, and musician Tim Chang joins Kelly and Darek in the studio to wish longtime listeners Colyer and Kevin a happy birthday. This turned out to be a "high energy" episode that somehow covers topics from golf, faulty ignitions, 90s rooftop parties and Cookie Jarvis.

In this non-Sting produced episode, Darek and Kelly celebrate longtime listener El Diablo's birthday and new(ish) listener Elizabeth's well-deserved vacation, Kelly and Darek characteristally bounce from topic-to-topic, discussing proper golf attire, ASMR, and Joni Mitchell.

Back from a trip to Ireland and the OR, Kelly and Darek welcome Glad, a returning on-air guest (also Darek's mom) and John, a longtime listener (and Glad's drummer) to the show. A flurry of topics are discussed, but since Kelly is still only able to type with one hand, you'll just have to trust us that it's a fun episode.

Papi lends his whining skills to this episode of Bitter Coffey, in which Kelly & Darek discuss the historical significance of the podcast, a nosy anti-vax neighbor, and Paw Patrol's support of Roe v. Wade.  Kelly loses the ability to speak earlier than usual, and Darek gets an update on The Pretzel Kids. 

The Johnny Depp/Amber Heard trial was an unexpected topic on today's show. Kelly shares her Celtics fandom that involves screaming swear words, and Darek discusses how dinosaur-themed birthday party decorations are a stark reminder of their extinction.  Tim checks in prior to getting a new tattoo by Heavy Hand, and video game street cred prompts a reflection of an aggressive ostrich and cardiac arrest. 

Kelly and Darek barrel through a jam-packed double episode, where they live scroll through TikTok, critique two Billie Eilish songs, engage in The Great Cheeseburger vs. Hamburger Debate, and discuss the increased murder potential as a result of automatic garage door openers. Tim Chang absolutely steals the show in his retelling of The Best St. Patrick's Day Story of All Time. Prove us wrong.

Darek and Kelly return from their hiatus, add fuel to the fire surrounding the Great Sticker Debate. Darek tries on some fake grad school eyeglasses Kelly wonders if a leprechaun can fit in a shoe box. Show intro & outro music genius Tim Chang picks up his phone for a chat to discuss Wordle, Heardle, and crime-fighting chipmunks.

Against all technological odds, and in the face of an extremely dramatic snow squall, Kelly and Darek celebrate Shamrock Shake season with tales of a late night visit from an all-female EMT crew while ruminating on Olympic shenanigans and Super Bowl halftime. The Chang Report focuses on terrible ideas in television remakes, and a hypothetical exchange of poop and services. Tim·s new rockin· theme music also makes its much anticipated debut.

Darek and Kelly are back in the studio after Darek's battle with All Things COVID.  A discussion about football leads to a rambling musical journey about favorite parts of songs, and a boycott of just about everything.  Tim Chang's original, shiny and new show theme music will debut next week due to Kelly's technical incompetence under pressure. 

Darek and Kelly begin Season 5 and 2022 with a tribute to Betty White.  Michele joins the show to break down Kelly's musical  instrument-induced breakdown. Tim Chang invites listeners to begin using a new catch phrase, and Darek offers movie reviews on mediocre movies, past and present.  

In this holiday edition and season finale of Bitter Coffey, Darek accepts what could be candy from strangers when Kelly refuses to answer the door and Tim shares a hot take on recycling.  Happy Holidays, y'all!

Darek flexes hard on recent purchases for his new home, and Kelly shares her discomfort after revisiting 1980s sitcoms. The Chang Report offers insight and wisdom in the midst of grocery store tension caused by crouton options.   

With Tim Chang on vacation to properly celebrate Eastern Daylight Time, Kelly struggles to function in the studio as a left-handed person, and Darek shares a holiday-driven potential spike in peppermint flavor in candy.  Kelly curses in order to test the boundaries of Apple podcast censors, while Darek throws out a bid for a new logo for the show.  

Kelly experiences a series of mini nervous breakdowns during the recording of this episode, and Darek manages to keep the show together as his co-host falls apart.  Tim shares some real talk about the politics of parades, and a new catch phrases is born.  

In an unplanned focus on All Things Pumpkin Spice, this episode is the result of Darek and Kelly's return to their tradition of a pre-show pizza. Darek offers validation to Kelly's accidental crime spree, and Tim provides insight and truth on aggressively-decorated houses for Halloween.  

Kelly lost her show topic notebook, so she relies on Darek and Tim Chang to carry the show.  A brief discussion on lip-syncing turns into Kelly revisiting why she dislikes Mariah Carey, and Darek debuts his 1940s radio announcer voice, unaware that his daughter is playing with a hammer in the backyard.   

Kelly and Darek introduce the best new segment on the show, The Chang Report.  Darek offers an update on the home ownership front, while Kelly shares she is free of both fleas and ticks. And at long last, technology finally allows your hosts to share their vocal acumen with a stranger named Astrid.  

Michele Palardy of the Palardy Foundation briefly joins the show and offers a glimpse of what it's like to live with Kelly.  Both Darek and Kelly learn new farmer terms as a result. Darek carries the show due to Kelly's restrictive eating, discussing both house hunting and house cake, one of which might smell like cat urine.
