Bills Training Camp Preview: Defense Rests? Far from it

The biggest question facing the Bills in 2026 under new head coach Joe Brady is on the defensive side of the football. Buffalo moved on from Sean McDermott, and defense of course was his area of expertise. There's continuity on offense with the promotion of Brady who was of course the offensive coordinator prior. Jim Leonhard takes over as the new defensive coordinator. New scheme, some new players, and some regulars who have some adjusting to do. Adam Benigni and Sal Maiorana have the breakdown with the Bills now just a week away from the start of training camp. Sabres left with plenty of work to do coming out of draft and entering free agency

The Sabres dealt for the fourth and 20th overall picks heading into the draft, and much to the chagrin of many fans, chose to use them on prospects instead of trading for a player or players that could help them immediately. WGR/WGRZ Sabres reporter Paul Hamilton joined Adam and Sal for an in-depth look at Buffalo's options moving forward. Inside the Josh Allen / Joe Brady dynamic with guest Tyler Dunne

here's a lot we know about the relationship between quarterback Josh Allen and new head coach Joe Brady. The success the Bills had with Brady as offensive coordinator certainly speaks to that. That's what Terry Pegula and Brandon Beane wanted to preserve in promoting Brady to head coach after firing Sean McDermott. There's no denying that the dynamic changes to some extent with Brady in his new role... and Allen at a new stage of life. Tyler Dunne of Go Long recently sat down with both Allen and Brady, and joined Adam Benigni and Sal Maiorana for some very interesting perspective. Sabres armed with options heading into NHL draft

The Sabres pulled off a massive trade Tuesday night with the Chicago Blackhawks sending defenseman Bo Byram and forward Jordan Greenway to Chicago in exchange for the fourth overall pick in the draft that starts Friday night, the 45th pick, and 6-8 defenseman Louis Crevier. The Sabres now have the 4th and 20th picks in the first round and have cleared significant cap space which gives them a lot of options to make a deal or deals to get better now and push the Stanley Cup window open further. Bills or Sabres - which team is closer to a championship? (with guest Mike Harrington)

If you had asked the question at this time last year, which New York team was closest to ending its championship drought? From Manhattan to Niagara Falls, most would have said the Buffalo Bills. Instead, it was the Knicks that after 53 years finally won an NBA title. The Bills are once again among Super Bowl favorites, and the Sabres have very much entered the conversation after a tremendous turnaround this past season that ended with a game seven overtime loss to Montreal in the second round. So... which Buffalo team is closer to bringing a long awaited major sports championship to Western New York? Mike Harrington, who works the Sabres beat for the Buffalo News, joined Adam Benigni and Sal Maiorana for the debate. Bills minicamp wrap: Have the Bills done enough?

The Bills are once again viewed as legit Super Bowl contenders heading into 2026, but in the wake of some significant player movement elsewhere in the league, the question remains: Have they taken enough of the load of Josh Allen's shoulders? Adam Benigni and Sal Maiorana tackle that question as the Bills put a wrap on mandatory minicamp and look toward training camp in Late July. How new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard is molding the Bills defense

To refer to the Bills as going through an offseason of change would be an understatement. From a new stadium to a new head coach, there's a lot to keep track of here in the month of May. One of the biggest areas of transition is on defense where for nine years, things were ultimately molded by former head coach Sean McDermott. With now head coach Joe Brady handling things on the offensive side, new defensive coordinator Jim Leonhard is leading a change of scheme on the defensive side. Adam Benigni and Sal Maiorana join with a look at where things stand, as Bills fans can begin to get a sense of what to expect. Future Look: Sabres trending upward after playoff loss with guest Paul Hamilton

You can make a strong argument the Sabres are the team that should be facing Carolina in the Eastern Conference Finals. They were the better team as the series progressed against Montreal, but they of course lost to the Canadiens in overtime of game seven. As the Sabres clean out their lockers, they face a number of key decisions, but certainly look like contenders for years to come. Bills Draft Recap: Will Beane's strength in value and numbers approach pay off?

The grades on the 2026 Bills draft range from a straight A to barely passing. As always, we won't know the true answer for a number of years, but if anything, Bills GM and President of Football Operations Brandon Beane and his staff were deliberate in their approach. He (we think wisely) traded out of the first round and addressed some key positions, along with a somewhat surprising emphasis on cornerback. Adam Benigni and Sal Maiorana have a full review. Frustrated with Bills approach? Why trading down made/makes sense

Thursday night was about what Bills GM/President of Football Operations Brandon Beane didn't do - that was make a first round pick. Instead, as we expected, he trade down three times and out of the first round, adding picks and no doubt aligning those picks to what the Bills have evaluated with players that match value. After trading his second round pick for receiver DJ Moore, he starts Friday night near the top of the second round at 35, and has added to the haul, giving him many options moving forward. Bills pre-draft six pack: Why Buffalo should trade down from 26

Bills GM/President of Football Operations Brandon Beane made a point on Monday that so many of us have concluded about this year's draft. Without giving the actual number, he said that they are on the "low end" of where they typically are in terms of first round grades. That further supports the argument to try and trade down from the 26th pick. We think Beane will certainly try to do that if he can find a partner. Assuming he can't, Adam Benigni and Sal Maiorana talk about six different areas of need for Buffalo and players they could conceivably take in that spot. Tate, Tyson & the 2026 WR Class: Great Prospects, Wrong Expectations ft. Joe DeLeone

Bucky Brooks is joined by guest Joe DeLeone to discuss wide receiver prospects in the 2026 NFL Draft, opening with the broader question of whether teams should keep paying $40M+ for receivers when the college pipeline keeps producing value picks like Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Puka Nacua. They work through the top tier guys like Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson, and Carnell Tate — agreeing the class lacks a true blue-chip WR1, with Jordyn Tyson drawing the most discussion as the highest-ceiling prospect despite a lengthy injury history that could push him down boards. Omar Cooper Jr. gets praised as a reliable chain-mover out of Indiana but both hosts pump the brakes on first-round buzz, seeing him more as a WR3 who risks being overhyped by draft momentum. The episode closes with wild cards including Deion Burks, Kevin Coleman Jr., Bryce Lance from NDSU, and Brenen Thompson — who stole the combine with a 4.26 40-yard dash.
