The Sabres pulled off a massive trade Tuesday night with the Chicago Blackhawks sending defenseman Bo Byram and forward Jordan Greenway to Chicago in exchange for the fourth overall pick in the draft that starts Friday night, the 45th pick, and 6-8 defenseman Louis Crevier. The Sabres now have the 4th and 20th picks in the first round and have cleared significant cap space which gives them a lot of options to make a deal or deals to get better now and push the Stanley Cup window open further. The Bills have now formally introduced Joe Brady as the new head coach. Among his first moves, according to reports, is to hire offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, who most recently has served as a senior offensive assistant to Sean Payton in Denver. Brady and Carmichael spent time together under Payton in New Orleans. Brady will continue to call plays, but Carmichael represents a critical hire in the process of putting together a new staff.
