  1. 86

    Episode 86: En Garde...Fight!

Can Goku beat Superman? Could the Ninja Turtles hold their own against the Biker Mice from Mars? We do not answer those questions in this episode, but we do talk about our own cross-genre match-ups. We also get distracted by Spider-noir,  how Pirates of the Caribbean is a prequel to Dune, and Reading Rainbow. Two man enter, one man leaves.

  2. 85

    Episode 85: A Man Wonder

We got the acting bug! In this episode we review the latest show from Marvel Television: Wonder Man. Spoilers: We loved it. We pick our favorite episodes, our favorite characters, and even play a game. And we only get a little distracted by Strawberry Bonbons, trailers, and possible reboots. Show your love for the West Coast Avengers.

  3. 84

Episode 84: The Adventures of Peg Leg Pete

Against the odds, we have returned! In this episode we play catch up on everything we missed while we were gone. 2025 was a wild ride and we do a retrospect on the high and low points of the year. Then we look towards 2026 and all of it's potential (potentially). This will be like riding a bike, right?

  4. 83

    Episode 83: X-Men '97 special: Bright Eyes

We were having some audio issues this episode, so apologies in advance. We are quickly approaching the finale of X-Men '97, and the train is not stopping. This episode is a great lead up, dealing with powerful emotions and showing some great action. But we do get distracted by DC's Absolute power, MCU rumors, and the Fallout show. Hell hath no fury....

  5. 82

    Episode 82: X-Men '97 special: Lifedeath pt.2

Continuing our rewatch of X-Men '97, we have a brief reprieve from the events of last episode. But that doesn't mean things are any better for the X-Men. This episode focuses on Storm and Professor X and their journeys surrounding the main events of the series. We get distracted by the new Supergirl movie, Pokémon conspiracy theories, and Agatha All Along. Class is in session.

  6. 81

    Episode 81: X-Men '97 special: Remember it!

We are at the half-way point of the season. This is where things get really interesting. We have a lot to cover this episode so we don't get too distracted. But we take a moment to get distracted by The Boys, OK KO, and Captain Planet and the Planeteers. Get the facial tissues ready, cuz this episode pulls at all of your emotions.

  7. 80

    Episode 80: X-Men '97 special: Montendo/Lifedeath pt. 1

It's a 2-for-1 special for this episode. We look at the fourth episode of X-Men '97 which is split into 2 half-episodes: the light-hearted and nostalgic "Motendo" and the heavier "Lifedeath pt. 1". But we get distracted by Agent Venom, cookouts with Galactus, and the trailer for Venom 3. Choose your hero and get ready!

  8. 79

Episode 79: X-Men '97 special: Fire Made Flesh

This episode we talk episode 3 of X-Men '97, or as we like to call it: the Clone Saga. Join us as we talk about 'My Adventures with Superman', the Deadpool popcorn bucket, and mutant registration. Hell hath no fury....

  9. 78

Episode 78: X-Men '97 special: Mutant Liberation Begins

This episode we continue our journey through the new X-men animated series. This episode of the show is filed with great action, great monologues, and great Morphing. But we get distracted by John Cena in Dune, nerd wrestlers, and criminals in Metropolis. The Master of Magentism commands you to listen.

  10. 77

    Episode 77: X-Men '97 special: To Me, My X-men!

We are back, like Phoenix Jean Grey! And in this episode we talk about X-Men '97, the new animated show on Disney+. We dive into the first episode of the new series with Ruby-quartz glasses on and discuss this wonderful reboot.

  11. 76

    Episode 76: Disney's 90s cartoon block

In this episode we jump on the nostalgia train and head back to the late 80s and early 90s to revisit the Disney afternoon cartoon block of our childhood. From Gummi Bears to Hercules, we talk about the great Disney cartoons that oversaturated our TVs. But we do get distracted by Zeus, Lance Reddick, and James Franco and Jared Leto. Suck gas, evil-doers!

  12. 75

Episode 75: Gods of Egypt vs. Exodus: Gods and Monsters

For this episode, we talk about whitewashing in media. We stick to more recent times (because the further you go back, the worse it gets), and pick out the numerous times in the last 20 years when casting choices made us scratch our heads. The list is so vast we barely have time to get distracted, but we still do by: Scott Adams, Puma Man, and Ultimate Invasion.

  13. 74

Episode 74: Honey, We Sent Ourselves to the Quantum Realm

This episode we review the MCU movie: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It's sub-dimensional fun for the whole family. Find out how we feel about the kickoff for Phase 5 of the MCU. We stay on task this time, with the only distractions being Superman, Street Fighter, and Rush Hour 5. All hail the Conqueror!

  14. 73

Episode 73: Rolling Dice While Black

For this episode, we wanted to talk about our experiences with Table Top Role-Playing Games, or TTRPG. We discuss our first time rolling the dice, and some of the best sessions we've had so far. Also, following the Super Bowl, we wanted to go over some of the great (and not-so-great) movie trailers we saw. Inevitably, we get distracted by the Pickard tv show, a Bojack Horseman sandwich, and "Did the Monopoly Man ever have a monocle?"

  15. 72

Episode 72: A World of Fantasy

To celebrate Black History Month, we wanted to focus on BIPOC in fantasy. There are great examples in more recent times, but the pickings were sparse in the 80s and 90s. We talk about some of the favorite characters that we grew up with, and how representation has grown in the last 20 years. We find ourselves getting distracted by James Gunn's DCEU, Pope Palpatine, and Frolicon. We are still waiting on justice for Ray Fisher.....

  16. 71

    Episode 71: Back Again

Season 3 is upon us! After a little break we are back with the good stuff. We spend this episode getting caught up on some of the things we missed while away. Topics include: Avatar 2, Manga and Anime, and Baldur's Gate 3. We also get distracted a lot by Zoe Saldana, Bullet Train, Theodore Rex, KOTOR, and Hallway Bryan. We never doubted you, Sam Worthington.

  17. 70

Episode 70: Pouring One Out for T'Challa

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Marvel Studios latest movie and the last movie of Phase 4 for the MCU. Brittany Dent fills in for hosting duty for Bryan, and helps us unpack everything we saw on the big screen. We also talk about recent news and the possible future of the DCEU under the direction of James Gunn. We get distracted by Juicy Crab, Crunchy vs. Creamy Peanut Butter, and Kwanzaa Cake. Imperius Rex!

  18. 69

    Episode 69: Edgerunners

Welcome, chooms. In this episode we talk about Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the animated series by Studio Trigger and CD Projekt Red on Netflix. Spoilers: it's a good show. We talk about what we liked, and what we loved, and how much we want more. But we somehow manage to get distracted by Black Adam, Tiger Carlson, and Almost Human. Make sure to update your cyberware and bring plenty of eddies.

  19. 68

Episode 68: The Ultimate Fangirl of the MCU

This episode we talk about the Marvel Studios show 'Ms. Marvel' on Disney+. Everything we like, and everything we don't, and how we feel it fits into the MCU as a whole. With so much to talk about, we still find time to get distracted. Some of our distractions are: the silver surfer in the MCU, the Champions, Rocky and Bullwinkle, the abandoned Batgirl movie, magic in the DC universe, and Hogwarts houses. Let the embiggening commence.

  20. 67

Episode 67: That game is too scary for me...

There was a bunch of good nerd news before this episode, so we dive right in and take time to unpack all the goodies. From DC to Marvel, and even anime, we talk about what's out now and what's coming. Eventually we get to our topic: our favorite horror videogames. We have some fun picks, so listen to find out if your favorite made our lists. We manage to stay on topic, and surprisingly have no distractions. Spooky season is in full effect!

  21. 66

Episode 66: Cosplay Corner with our very special guest...

This episode we are joined by Leairis Cross: Cosplayer, Artist, and fellow Blerd. We talk about her favorite cosplays, our favorite cosplays, tips for first-time cosplayers, and her graphic novel: RAIN. We also dive into the latest trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. With a lot to talk about, we still find ourselves getting distracted by: Maurice's Pot Pie, Disney's Racist Past, Finger Guns, and Black Panther 2 ice cream. Check out Leairis on Instagram at @leairis_artsy_stuff.

  22. 65

    Episode 65: That's a banger!

Double check your quirk, center your chakra, and power up beyond 9000 because this episode we are discussing our favorite music in anime. From openings, to closings, to full soundtracks, nothing is off limits. See if your favorite also makes our lists. Before that, we get a quick update on the mangas we are reading. We largely get distracted by the new Deadpool news, but also a possible reboot of The Mask and Homeboys in Outer Space.

  23. 64

Episode 64: Let Anakin Save His Mom

After a small break, we're back and bring some great news from Disney's annual D23 conference. All the cool (and not cool) news about upcoming projects from Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel. But even with all this goodness, we still get distracted. Jedi masters, Brenden Fraser, ninja fights, and Starbucks Green Goblin pull us away from our main topic. The future looks bright for the big mouse.

  24. 63

Episode 63: Why is that game so good?

This episode we look at videogames that we much better than they deserved to be. Whether it's the gameplay, or the graphics, or the premise, these games were very fun in the end despite not getting mainstream coverage. We also go  down a Power Rangers rip-off rabbit hole. There is a lot of news about Ezra Miller and the fate of WB shows, so we get very distracted by Batman siblings, Riverdale, and Ples getting fired from the podcast. Bring back Gladius!

  25. 62

Episode 62: Fallout from San Diego Comic Con

We have been off for the last few weeks, so this episode we are going to focus on San Diego Comic Con. A lot of good nerd news came out of the largest fantasy, sci-fi, and comics Convention in the United States, and we hit the highlights. But with all of this goodness, we get distracted by Keanu Reeves, the Manga Clock Strikers, and James T. Kirk. Come for the dumpster fire that is DCEU, stay for the top-tier gold that is the future of the MCU.

  26. 61

    Episode 61: Thunderous Love

Apologies for Maurice's sound quality in advance. This episode we talk about Thor: Love and Thunder, the latest release from Marvel Studios in this episode. We give our impressions on movie and how it compares to the other Phase 4 movies. But before we get into that, we show our appreciation for the animated fan film: Legend: A Dragonball Tale. This animated short is a love letter to Dragonball Z and many animes from the 90s. The only distractions are a bit a MCU news, and us talking about pokemon. Are you worthy?

  27. 60

    Episode 60: Super Super Hero!!!

Everyone turn on your scouters, because this episode we are talking about the newest Dragonball Super movie: Dragonball Super: Super Hero! This movie finds the Z fighters facing off against Goku's old nemesis: The Red Ribbon Army. We chat about our favorite parts of the movie, and what this could mean for the franchise going forward. But we get distracted by Ezra Miller news, the new Madam Web movie, and the best Final Fantasy. We always take it over 9000.

  28. 59

Episode 59: The One About Juneteenth

We recorded this episode on Juneteenth, which also fell on Father's Day, and we had our good friend Brittany Dent back on the show. So of course we barely stay on topic. We focus our attention on the new projects from Avatar Studios, as well as the recently announced Game of Thrones sequel starring Jon Snow. But a few of the things that distract us include: Drake's New Album, DCEU's downward spiral, Apple TV, and the previously mentioned holidays of Juneteenth and Father's Day. Make to check out Brittany Dent on Instagram: @brittanydoescomedynow.

  29. 58

Episode 58: The Multi-verse of Every Emotion (and hot dog hands)

Break out your googly eyes, because this episode we talk about the studio A24 movie 'Everything, Everywhere, All At Once'. We explain what we like about this movie, why, and why you should go see it (or see it again if you have not yet). Distractions come in the forms of The Thunderbolts, Never-Ending Story, and Digimon. Come on, get happy.

  30. 57

Episode 57: The Cartoons of Hanna-Barbara Part 2

This week we continue our journey down the path of Hanna-Barbera cartoons. We look at the cartoons produced by Hanna-Barbera Studios during the 90s. Join us in our nostalgia and relive some of your favorites. But sadly we get distracted by Living Single, James Bond Jr., Scott Summers' Open Marriage, Christina Ricci, and Jellystone. We will always remember the good times, Capitol Critters.

  31. 56

    Episode 56: Moon Knight's follies

Now that we've had time to digest it, we take a look back at MCU's Moon Knight on Disney Plus. How does it hold up against the rest of the MCU shows so far? Well we will barely let you know. We are largely distracted by the new Gotham Knights TV show, our favorite Ray Liotta movies, Steven Universe, and Disney Princesses. Praise Khonshu!

  32. 55

Episode 55: The League of Extraordinary Legends

On the heals of the news the The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is going to be a series on the CW, we put our own spin on the comic. We dream about what characters from lore we want to see come to life. We also reimagine the Banana Splits as an Adult Swim show. Distractions include Alex Mack vs. Allen Strange, Church's Chicken, the MCU Fantastic 4, and Josie and the Pussycats. Unfortunately, Sean Connery will not be part of the reboot.

  33. 54

Episode 54: Worst Videogame movies ever!

This episode we are thoroughly disgusted by some of the worst movies adapted from videogames. We pick our #1 contenders for the bottom of the barrel (that we actually took the time to watch). But it has been a minute, so Maurice talks about some of the mangas he has been reading recently. We also get distracted by Godzilla Arcade Parks, Multi-versus, and Uwe Boll. Let us know what your top pick for worst videogame movie might be.

  34. 53

Episode 53: How Strange, the Multiverse...

Big spoiler alert for this episode, because we a taking a look at the newest MCU movie: Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. We talk about the fun, the scary, and the mind-blowing ride that Steven Strange and Wanda Maximoff take us on. But we still find time to get distracted by Thor: Love and Thunder, Avatar 2, and Maurice eating someone else's food.

  35. 52

Episode 52: What did we miss?

We are back after our break. And boy oh boy, did some interesting things happen! We discuss movies and shows that are out, upcoming movies and TV shows. Some of the things we talk about: the Sony Spider-verse, a potential 2nd Mortal Kombat movie, Legends of Tomorrow, Fantastic Beasts, The Batman, and the Hellfire Gala. We're coming in hot, so hold on to your butts.

  36. 51

Episode 51: What was the Topic Again?

This is our last episode of the season. And instead of staying with the theme of Black History Month, we go way off topic and talk about everything else. We get distracted by the Lord of the Rings series on Amazon Prime, the 80s, Riddler's Brew from Mountain Dew, 20th Century Fox Superheroes, Magic City Kitchen, and more. Thanks for listening!

  37. 50

Episode 50: Awesome Black Voice Actors!

It's our 50th episode! We are knee-deep in our Black History Month theme, and today we talk about some of the most famous black voice actors. Join us as we discuss our favorites, and also their most memorable roles. However, we have been graced by the first official trailer for Dr. Strange in the Multi-verse of Madness so we must take time to breakdown the eye-popping goodness. Lenny Kravitz, the DCEU's little problem, and mutants in the MCU help to distract us from our episode today. Black History Month hype train keeps rolling!

  38. 49

Episode 49: Here's to you, Mr. Piccolo

Continuing our Black History Month theme, this week's episode finds us discussing our favorite POC's in anime. Given the racist past of manga and anime, it is good to see more diversity and well-fleshed out characters in modern times. But we do take time to acknowledge the troublesome characters of the past. Our distractions include Euphoria, YuYu Hakusho, Hisako & R. Kelly, and Voltron.

  39. 48

Episode 48: Sanford & Son, but they're Time Lords...

For our first episode of Black History Month, we discuss black sci-fi. We feel that majority black or POC sci-fi shows are un-tapped genre of television, so we take classic black sitcoms and put a sci-fi twist on them. We also take time to go over some recent nerdy news from videogames and comics. But we get distracted by Star Trek, Sam Wilson & Bucky Barnes, and The Masters of the Universe. Gather 'round and listen to what our genius minds can create.

  40. 47

Episode 47: My Life as a Weapon

Get your trick arrows ready, cuz this episode we talk about the latest Disney+ series: Hawkeye. All of the goodness that this show had, plus the future of the MCU on Disney+. But we get wildly distracted by Transformers, John Legend, the Moon Knight trailer, and Lady Hawk. Tune in, true believers!

  41. 46

Episode 46: Neo through the Looking Glass

Did you know there is a new Matrix movie? Well, there is. And we watched it. Join us this episode while we talk about it. We discuss the fun (and not so fun) parts of the movie, and what this could mean for the future of the Matrix franchise. Along the way we get distracted by 90 day Jedi, more Cole Young hate, and selling farts. Jack in and boot up.

  42. 45

    Episode 45: Justice League Unlimited

This week we take a look back at Justice League Unlimited, the great series from the DCAU. We talk about our favorites, and and discuss how it influenced the future of DC in media. With so much goodness, we can barely stay on track as we fanboy about this show. But we do managed to get distracted by cabbage patch kids, Drake getting a lantern ring, a strip club book store, questionable deer meat, and parking lot juice.

  43. 44

Episode 44: Spider-boy and his Parallel Friends

Our Peter Tingle is overloading on this episode. We talk about the MCU movie: Spider-man No Way Home. We try not to fanboy too hard (and fail spectacularly) as we discuss many parts of the movie. We talk about our favorite characters, our favorite parts, and look forward to possible future movies. We are so excited, that we actually do not get distracted by anything. Thwip on over and join in on the fun.

  44. 43

    Episode 43: That Holiday Cheer

The Festivus season is upon us. This episode we remember our favorite holiday specials and movies. We our favorite movies and TV shows from our childhood, but also some great ones from more modern times. Then we get distracted by Young Justice, the Matrix, the Vice President, and Dragonball Z. Bring us some figgy pudding and let's go a wassailing.

  45. 42

Episode 42: The Real Folk Blues

On this episode, we talk about the live action Netflix adaptation of the Cowboy Bebop anime. The good, the bad, the Faye Faye. Which character did we like the most? How did it hold up to the original? Did the music still shake our soul? Listen and find out. We also find time to talk about the new Matrix trailer, the first look at the new Spider-verse movie, and Daredevil in the MCU. But we get distracted by Hawkeye, The Batman, and James Gunn. See you, Space Cowboy...

  46. 41

Episode 41: The Eternals are Coming!

This week we are reviewing the latest MCU movie: The Eternals. We look at our favorite characters, and even our least favorite characters, while we discuss how this shapes the future of the MCU. WE also get distracted by Avatar tails, Atlanta the show, Halo: Infinite, and Outlaw Star. With a cast of characters this large, everyone should be able to find something they liked......right?

  47. 40

    Episode 40: Palpatine was right!

We all were very excited about this episode, because we are discussing the animated anthology 'Star Wars: Visions' on Disney+. Each host picks their favorite episode, and the others tell them why they're wrong. We also talk about the potential future for this unique anthology in respect to the rest of the Star Wars Universe. But we get distracted by King of Fighters, The A-Team, and Hasbro games. May the Force be with you all.

  48. 39

    Episode 39: Eat. Predator. Love.

We had a plan for this episode.... and then the Spider-man: No Way Home trailer dropped. So we threw all of our plans out of the window and dedicated our time to analyzing the new trailer. But we also take time to look at the shows coming to Disney + that were presented on Disney + Day. But we do get distracted by Timothee Chalamet, the Sony Spider-verse, and Abraham Lincoln: Friend of the Predator. Which Spider-man villain are you expecting to see in this new movie?

  49. 38

    Episode 38: Dune 2021

In this episode we squeeze into our stillsuits and review Denis Villeneuve's Dune. We are very pumped to watch and talk about this movie, and are excited to see how it compares to the 80s movie. From costumes, to characters, to world-building, we discuss all of the most enjoyable aspects of the movie. With so much to talk about we mostly stay on topic, but get distracted by Star Wars: The High Republic, Amanda Waller and the Justice League, and the Inhumans. Grab you thumper and prepare to ride the sandworm.

  50. 37

Episode 37: Who Watches The Watcher?

In this episode we talk about the MCU show 'What If...?' on Disney+. We each pick our favorite episodes and favorite characters, and discuss multi-verses in general. What other possible universes could we see in future seasons? But we get distracted by the cartoon Invincible, 90s R&B, Blackula, and mutant reparations. Does the Watcher watch us while we sleep? While we are on the toilet? While we are intimate? These are the important questions.
