Episode 33- Phillies swept off the Turnpike
The guys start off talking about the Mets? Yes the Mets. The team that almost got swept by the Pirates if it wasn't for a heroic 9th inning home run to bail them out. Pete Alonzo won the HR derby, Edwin Diaz is a disgrace and is pointing at grand slams as they fly out of the park, they also gave up a 3 run swinging bunt but rallied back to win and then took 2 out of 3 in Cincy. BK then goes on a mini covid rant in regards to the Yankees Red Sox postponement and we recap that series including a fan throwing a ball at Alex Verdugo of the Boston Red Sox. Was it on purpose? And finally we are joined by a very special guest to recap the battle of the turnpike! Enjoy!

Episode 31- "You Blew it!"
It's not a great day to be jersey if you are a New York baseball fan as both team suffer horrific loses to wrap up the first half of the season. BK gets what he deserves for laughing at the Mets misery as the Yankees somehow find a way to blow a 5 run lead in the 9th inning and Chapman wasn't even pitching! The Mets blow a 5 run lead of their own and drop 2 out of 3 to the last place Pirates, they guys discuss the loss and what they think the Mets need going forward. The Phillies take 2 out of 3 in Boston (thanks from us Yankees fans, even though our team can't help themselves) and England loses an absolute heart breaker in PK's to Italy. Karl breaks down the Euro finals and the guys decide that the only way it's a great way to be Jersey today is if you are an Italian Phillies fan. See you next time!

Episode 30- Jersey Kid Ross Colton wins the Stanley Cup for Tampa Bay
The title says it all, the guys had to do a bonus episode this week as Robbinsville, NJ native Ross Colton scores the game winning, Stanley Cup clinching goal for the Tampa Bay lightning. What kind of jersey guys would we be if we didn't talk about it? The guys also discuss Geo Baker and Ron Harper Jr. decided to come back to Rutgers for their senior season. What are the expectations for this team? BK and Karl close out the episode talking a little bit of baseball (Yankees and Mets), NJ county fairs (BK almost yakked on a tilt-a-whirl) and Karl learning how to use Twitter! Enjoy Jersey!

Episode 29: Yankees get what they deserve.
The guys start off talking the 4th of July- best parts of the holiday weekend, America, freedom, bbq, fireworks, wiffle ball. Speaking of wiffle ball, BK's family bbq had a hilarious incident he talks about. We then get into this weekends subway series, to no ones surprise, BK is DONE with Chapman. The Mets take 2 out of 3 from the Yankees, where do the Yankees go from here? Blake Coleman (former NJ Devil) and Ross Colton (NJ native, went to Princeton Day School) are on the verge of winning the Stanley cup with Tampa Bay as is former Ranger Ryan McDonagh. The guys talk about the Cup finals and their feelings if these guys go on to win. Hope you all enjoy and had a great holiday weekend! This should get you back into the swing of things.

Topics: The guys start the show by discussing what's going on in their lives which leads to them reminiscing about little league. Both guys share some funny stories about book reports?! Housing market talk? Millennials have gotten screwed over and over. Karl breaks down the new College Football overtime rules to BK. BK finally attended a live sporting event for the first time in over a year. Baseball talk: Yankees are struggling, Jacob DeGrom is really good. BK hates on Domingo German. Hockey talk: The Devils may finish the year as the worst team in the league. The Rangers are looking like they are gonna miss the playoffs. Karl tried to convince BK to watch old games from the 70's, it didn't work.

Boardwalk Sports Talk: EP 018 Show Me the Money!!!!
Topics: Geo Baker of Rutgers starts the #notNCAAproperty movement on twitter to try to protest the NCAA not allowing its student athletes to use their name or likeness to make money. The guys don't quite see eye to eye on this one, they discuss: - Is this the right time for this? - Will this actually work? BK says that all 68 teams must get on board and boycott the tourney if they want to make a difference (not that he wants that to happen) - Would players being able to cash in on their likeness help or hurt a school like Rutgers? The guys break down their brackets and discuss who they think will win the whole thing. Rutgers obviously, BK says if you are from NJ or went to Rutgers and you don't pick them to win you are a fraud and stop listening to this podcast. #NotMyCockburn BK goes on a rant about how the Devils got hosed on Sunday night and says replay is ruining sports. But is he out on replay altogether? Spoiler alert: yes! Also, the guys may have come up with a common ground replay solution.
