Bobby Finn Knows Everyone heads to the Let's Play Hockey Expo during the Minnesota State High School Hockey Tournament for a beauty of an episode with special guest Corey Miller–– former NHLer, 2-time Olympian, and Gopher Hockey legend. Corey joins the show to talk about his incredible hockey journey, from growing up in Cloquet, to making it all the way to the world stage. Jeff shares incredible stories from playing against Dennis Rodman, to the first game the Timberwolves ever played and then his thoughts on this year’s team with Anthony Edwards and Karl Towns. Saint Paul East-Sider Bob Kroll joins the podcast to talk about the old days growing up on the east side. From secret keg parties on the top of a ski hill to playing in beer league, full-contact football games against prisoners, these guys did it all. For a second time, author and Star Tribune reporter David La Vaque joins the podcast to talk all things high school hockey. David shares his current and all-time high school dream teams and the guys play a fun game of high school hockey trivia based on David’s book “Tourney Time”. Bobby has an old-school bar review, and finally the guys just can’t let it go regarding Hill Murray playing their section games at home.

University of Minnesota women’s coach Brad Frost hangs out with the guys, sharing incredible stories about his program which includes winning 4 national championships, 62 games in a row and going 41-0 during one season. He talks about the program, his coaching philosophy and something every coach should hear about how to talk to referees. North Saint Paul native and Minnesota Twins pitcher, Louie Varland, joins the guys in the studio. Hear how he went from Concordia College to the major leagues, what it was like making his debut at Yankee Stadium and an incredible Bill Murray story. He also talks about helping kids at his training facility Take the Field, and why he once threw a cooler of water on a fan. 

Tom Whaley, former co-owner of the Saint Paul Saints for 30 years, joins the guys to discuss the new Saints Netflix documentary, “The Saint of Second Chances.” He explains how his team came up with dozens of wild promotions like Randy Moss Hood Ornament Night and Bud Selig Tie Night. He goes on to share stories of the Saints stars, including Mike Veeck, Bill Murray, Darryl Strawberry and Kevin Millar. Tom and Bobby are joined in studio by former NHL Minnesota Wild player and current Stillwater high school hockey coach, Greg Zanon. They also getting into high school hockey and how it differs from how he grew up playing in Vancouver.

They discuss Annie’s coaching career including winning a state championship in North Dakota, as well as her thoughts on this year’s high school hockey tournament.
