Thus Spoke Zarathustra - Prologue & Chapters 1-8
Boog Club officially starts their series on Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Friedrich Nietzsche. Firstly, we see that Nietzsche looks for those who bring about the Superman. We see this definition from someone who is powerful and follows their own values, but willing to put others before themselves. Join us to hear more details on the character and definition of Nietzsche’s bringer whom goes through the three stages of the soul.People tend to not listen to other’s advice since that means they admit to having faults. People need to be confident in their faults so they can improve. If they are not and just follow what is considered “good” blindly then they are mere believers rather than companions. We discuss what the difference between believers and companions are and how it is seen in our lives.Later on, we see how, in Zarathustra’s eyes, everyone’s beliefs and perceptions project into their relations with higher powers. However, we see that it is important to not follow a faith for personal, selfish goals and reasons but rather doing it due to their pure belief in it. To Nietzsche, he looks pass this in finding someone who creates and fines their own values, creation beyond themselves. For reading along with us in Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Friedrich Nietzsche

Twilight of the Idols - Expeditions of an Untimely Man: Part 2
We are continuing right where we left off in the Expeditions of an Untimely Man portion from Twilight of the Idols. Boog clubs starts with the discussion on needing a strong belief or faith; how that benefits each individual. We also discuss the dangers of faking or not fully representing your belief. This seeps into Nietzsche's idea of beauty being subjective and to not judge others by their view of beauty.Later in our journey, we look at communication revolving around Nietzsche's words. He views language as the preferred communication of the average. It is something the we created and is therefore limited. This invokes us to discuss different forms of communication through experience and body language, and how this affects our connection to others. However, we also see the importance of knowing who to share these connections with.If you want to support the podcast and are interested in reading along with us, use the following Amazon affiliate links. Twilight of the Idols - Expeditions of an Untimely Man: Part 1
The boys begin the end of the Twilight of The Idols journey with the Expeditions of an Untimely Man Part 1. We start off by discussing what Nietzsche thinks moving past Christianity does and does not look like while comparing that with morality. What does he think happens to morality when someone truly abandons Christianity?Nietzsche loves the ecstasy state or, as we compare it to, the flow state. He sees there being three main ones: Apollonian, Dionysian, and the architect. To him, it seems there is definitely a hierarchy of these. It could possibly come to experience vs. instinct vs. will. Join us as we discuss each one, how they appear in today’s world, and what it means to be in that state. Twilight of the Idols - “Improvers” of Mankind & What the Germans Lack
Today, in this boog club, we examine the "Improvers" of Mankind and What the Germans Lack. We begin with looking into morality and its apparent subjectivity according to Nietzsche. We look at the two examples provided to us, these "improvers" and how they warp morality to fit their own immorality rules.Follow along with us as we see what Nietzsche thinks the Germans lack or really what any society might lack. We compare Nietzsche's views on this with our own current society. This includes many topics such as culture and how it tends to go against politics, what "higher" education really is, and finding one's own path / instincts prior to jumping into life instead of being rushed. If you want to support the podcast and are interested in reading along with us, use the following Amazon affiliate links. Twilight of the Idols - The Four Great Errors
Boog Club takes on The Four Great Errors. What does Nietzsche consider the Four Great Errors of mankind? It mostly appears to be related to causality and effects, getting these confused with one another and mistaken in general. Or how we are quick to decide on fake / imaginary causes.Join us as we converse over the examples present in our current time and Nietzsche’s book. Which leads us into happiness and how one might find it or at least know what it is that does not create happiness. Later, we discuss the (free) will and what that even means as we debate on what Nietzsche himself is referring to when he tries to remove will.If you want to support the podcast and are interested in reading along with us, use the following Amazon affiliate links. Twilight of the Idols - Morality as Anti-Nature
Today, we discuss the next part in our series - Morality as Anti-Nature. We look at Nietzsche's view on passions and how they relate to today's world and our on opinions. According to Nietzsche it sounds like we need to take our passion out of the 'fake' world. But what does that mean? With that, we work on bringing to light how you can turn your passion into something good for the world and one that Nietzsche would be proud of. Later, we make conversation on how to hone and improve one's passion once they find what it is. What does it look like to find your passion and how does that affect your ability to hone it?If you want to support the podcast and are interested in reading along with us, use the following Amazon affiliate links.
