The sisters are deeply disappointed by Letty, who they thought was similar to Hermione but turned out to be Lord Voldemort. Overall we enjoyed the first 3/4 of the read but the ending fell a little flat for us. Per the text, Tom wants to be Daisy's boyfriend <3 Per the subtext, Allison also wants to be Daisy's girlfriend <3 The present day section follows three girlfriends, Sex and the City Style - Bonnie (Sex positive Sammantha), Gretchen (tradwife Charlotte), and Sydney (our self-absorbed Carrie Bradshaw). You may ask WHERE'S Miranda? She is stuck in the past as the closeted Allison.Unfortunately for our story, the story quickly turns Death and the City as our Bonnie/Sammantha gets cut to ribbons in her NY apartment.Who is the murderer? Before the sisters can close the book on The Silent Patient, they attempt to do a quick 15 minute chat on the morality of novel. However, by the end of the book we find that he is unable to escape his past and becomes an abuser himself. Discussion? Are abused people destined to become abusers themselves.
