What's up, everybody! Listen we know that we said we would be here every week but life is real and adulting is realer than real. Here is an update on life, our engagement, and what's been happening. Ain't much here to say here, just listen to the podcast to keep up!

Ok, so look, mental illness is a big thing that affects the black community. Yal know back in the day, when you were younger it was taboo to talk about mental health. Mental health was viewed as a sign of weakness, a stain on someone's life, and not taken seriously. Luckily, in recent years mental health has been pushed to the forefront. It's a difficult conversation to have because we both have struggled with certain mental issues, but also we both have experienced therapy, the effects that it has on our lives, and also procrastinating on getting the help we need to fix our mental issues. Check our next podcast discussing mental health and some of the resources you can check out. 

Listen, we have all worked for corporate America, right? In some form or fashion. It's interesting now how people view working in corporate vs being an entrepreneur. There are many pros and cons to both and we've realized that it depends on many factors. Neither is wrong, both are great, and each one works for a certain type of person. Dating in the black community has its ups and downs. It can be freeing, it can be beautiful, it can be wild, but it can be ROUGH, DIFFICULT & DRAINING. Check out our latest podcast as we only scratch the surface on a few issues as to why it's hard dating in the black community and briefly show the parallels of difficulties between the black gay community and the black straight community. When you look at the big picture, whether gay or straight, it's easy to see that there aren't many differences we all face being black and dating.

Finally, figuring out what we wanted to do, how we wanted to do it, and what we would give back to our listeners. We felt that starting a podcast would be the best and most logical and easiest thing to do. Gotta start somewhere right?
