Healing, Suffering and the Questions We Can’t Answer
In this episode, we find ourselves having a conversation we never really intended to have, and end up tackling some of the biggest and most difficult questions of faith. We talk about healing and what happens when healing doesn’t come, suffering, unanswered prayer, and how we continue to trust God when we don’t understand what He is doing.Along the way, the conversation turns to Jesus Himself. Who He says He is, His response to the death of Lazarus, His compassion and grief, and the sometimes surprisingly direct way He spoke to the Pharisees and even His own disciples.Patrick and Philly, with Patrick doing plenty of the heavy lifting, share their thoughts, experiences and understanding of it all. As usual, we finish the conversation encouraged, challenged, and perhaps even more scrambled than when we started.A long and honest conversation about pain, healing, hope, Jesus, and having faith when there aren’t easy answers.
