In this seminar we will look at the mindset of the Medical Missionary and how to apply that in the workplace to bring practical lessons to both staff and patients. The cross of Christ will be the key object lesson in our study. Objectives: Attendees to this seminar will gain a deeper understanding of how Free Clinics: 1. Affect patients (access to treatment, follow-up care, etc.) 2. Affect the provider (professional ful llment, diversity in setting of care, integration of whole person care) 3. Affect the community (surrounding providers/practices, churches, community health stats) 4. Affect the Christian (deeper understanding of the Right Arm of the Gospel, Christ’s method, role of health care in this current social and spiritual climate)

Strategic partnerships of pastor and physician teams are needed to help carry the health message in these last days of earth’s history. If a pastor or physician cannot find a team member ready to join them they can begin to work through mentoring. Objectives: 1. Demonstrate the need for mentoring of pastor/physician teams, as well as students in ministry and the health fields. 2. Identify examples of quality teams and discuss the importance of team members being like-minded. 3. Discuss how to begin implementing these principles. 4. Inspire and call the attendees to invest in mentoring relationships.

Adventist Recovery Ministries was developed by the North American Division and General Conference to equip church leaders, health professionals or lay members to assist individuals who are struggling with addictions or any unhealthy compulsive behavior. This seminar will describe the ministry, its resources, and explore how health professionals can include it in a practice setting or other settings to bring wholeness and recovery in Christ to people experiencing brokenness in their lives. Objectives: 1. Demonstrate why effective Christian-based addictive recovery programs are needed today 2. Identify the steps necessary to establish a Christian-based addictive recovery program 3. Discuss how to find and utilize excellent Christian friendly resources for a variety of unhealthy compulsive behaviors
