Breathing After You
by Annie Henderson
Breathing After You is a podcast about survival after loss. After my son died, breathing was no longer something my body did without effort. Every inhale felt intentional. Every day felt like something I had to endure rather than live. This podcast exists for that space — the days after the hospital, after the casseroles stop, after the world moves on, when staying alive feels like the hardest thing you’ve ever done. This is a place for mothers and parents living with loss to come and feel understood, without having to explain themselves. A place to hear words that sound like your own thoughts, to sit with someone who isn’t afraid of the silence, and to feel supported simply by not being alone in it.There are no lessons here, no timelines, and no pressure to heal. Only honesty, remembrance, and companionship for those learning how to breathe again. If you are surviving one breath at a time, you are welcome here.

Learning to Live Again After Losing Her Triplets | Loss Mom Therapist Elle Margetson ⭐
Today I’m joined by loss mom, therapist, and creator of The Loss Mama Method, Elle Margetson.Elle shares the story of her triplets—Noah, Eden, and Hudson—and how she learned to navigate life after the unimaginable loss of her children. Together, we dive into some of the most difficult parts of grief, including the belief that if we stop hurting, we’re somehow leaving our babies behind. In this conversation, we discuss:• Why so many grieving parents hold tightly to their pain• The guilt that often follows child loss• What grief looks like five years later• How to honor your child while still allowing yourself to experience joy• The difference between carrying your love and carrying your suffering• Healing after trauma and learning to trust life againElle also opens up about her journey to motherhood after loss, sharing how fear and trauma initially made her never want to become pregnant again. She vulnerably shares the story of her rainbow baby and how she navigated pregnancy after loss while carrying both hope and heartbreak.Drawing from both her personal experience and professional work as a grief therapist, Elle offers encouragement for loss moms who feel stuck in survival mode and wonder if they’ll ever feel like themselves again. This is for loss moms navigating miscarriage, TFMR, still birth, neonatal loss and infant loss. This episode is a reminder that healing doesn’t mean forgetting, joy doesn’t replace love, and it is possible to carry your babies with you while learning to live again. What Nobody Tells You About PTSD After Birth Trauma

Your body remembers what happened. And you are not alone.
