Brockout Volume 8 - NØNOM DJs

𖤓 Brockout Volume 8 - NØNOM DJs 𖤓 Frontline soldiers of the Westcountry underground, the NØNOM DJs have flown the flag for no-nonsense electronic music in the region (and far beyond) for many years. Armed with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the techno and electro continuum, and a live-and-breathe dedication to its craft and culture, these boys are a huge inspiration to us, and many others in their orbit. For 'Volume 8' the NØNOM DJs tap uncannily into the energy of the Brockout dancefloor. A powerful 47-track trip that threads a needle through footwork, ghetto house, post-dubstep, UK techno, braindance acid, OG rave, electro, hip hop, and more. Brockout Volume 6 - Luke's Anger

Brockout Volume 6 - LUKE'S ANGER An honour to have Luke's Anger in control for our next mix. One of UK techno's true mavericks, and a big inspiration for us since 'Dead Like Elvis' blew our minds back in 2006. In the time since, he's played at our parties numerous times and we were blessed to sign his track 'Planet Twerk' for the first Brockout vinyl release last year. Over to Luke... "A mix of electro and ghettotech tunes - everything from Kraftwerk, Model 500, and Erik Travis, to upfront releases from people like DJ Godfather, Detroit In Effect, SOD-90, and DMX Krew. A few from myself, and some cheeky edits thrown in for good measure. Mixed on 2 x Technics 1210 MK2, Pioneer DJM-S11, Serato and Phase." Brockout Volume 4 - Ms Ogyny

Brockout Volume 4 - MS OGYNY Next up in the mix series is Brockout resident and queen of the Southwest underground, Ms Ogyny, aka Shibby . It's been a massive year for Shibs, with a busy schedule of UK-wide gigs including Don't, I Love Acid, Orbital Gathering, and NSC - as well as consistently tearing up our Exeter parties. Volume 4 is a perfect introduction to Ms Ogyny's sound and style - a hypnotic, acid-soaked excursion off the beaten tracks of techno and electro. In her own words... "A meandering mix of old and new - featuring tracks from all over the globe, as well as a special yet-to-be-released track from the late ReKaB. This was an unplanned mix I recorded at home last month (hence you may be able to hear some false starts beginning to creep in at times!) but it gives an overall flavour of what I tend to dig: dubby, acid-y, electronic groove-based music." Brockout Volume 3 - Nez

Stepping up next in the Brockout mix series is NEZ - Belfast-based DJ and founder of Computer Controlled Records, a label dedicated to the rawer, darker edges of techno and electro. Over the past 2 decades, he’s carved out a distinct voice in the underground, both as selector and curator, and for our money he’s one of the best (and most slept-on) DJs in the scene right now. "I always use my mixes as a way to dig through what’s been inspiring me lately. New artists, fresh labels and tunes that hit a certain mood. This one follows that thread, staying true to the Computer Controlled aesthetic… acid, electro and machine funk driven techno in full effect." Tracklist: cable.percussion - Ellaria Zobol - Mirage (Nullptr Remix) Bohm - Exploration David Vunk - Urban Unit DMX Krew - Bass Box Jerome Hill - Baptised Adam Curtain - The Deviant Asserrin - Insufficient Data Sweater On Polo - Reset Triple Five Soul - But A Freak Marcus Paulson - Acid Hub Joseph Garber - 23 Rue De Poitou Jerome Hill - Moved (Pt 2) The Manor House Boys - Kiss The Beast The Hacker & Endrik Schroeder - Puissance 4 Tom Carruthers - M.O.
