The students of District 9 High School and BronxNet have partnered to raise awareness about fire prevention in the Bronx and throughout New York City. Students from the Comprehensive Model School Project visited the BronxNet Media and Technology Studios in the South Bronx to film this PSA in our XR Studio. During the recording, the 10th graders learned about television production and assisted in several crew positions.The students live and attend school in our community, and they are dedicated to protecting our neighbors from fire hazards. Our students greatly appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with each other and with school district leaders to create this PSA. Some of their peers have experiened firsthand what it’s like to recover from fires and become temporarily dislocated. Preparing this PSA helped them realize how important educating their community about fire safety can be.
