    Ryan Bleth is with the North Dakota Science Teachers Association and is the 2009 award-winner of the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.     S1.4 Butte-y in Education with Professor Kel of Red River Valley Writing Project

    Kel Sassi is a professor at North Dakota State University and a prominent member of the National Writing Project, the Red River Valley Writing Project, the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, the digital Write Across America marathon, the National and ND Council of Teachers of English, and the Write Now community.  She is most known for her book Writing on Demand, her work on the Turtle Mountain Indian Reservation, the College, Career, and Community Writers Program (C3WP), and most recently the digital youth voices marathon that she led with the Scholastic Art & Writing Youth Alliance.  To catch her next speaking occasion, she will be presenting at the National Council of Teachers of English on "Countering Anti-Blackness and Anti-Indigeneity at NCTE: Report on the Work of the Committee on Diversity and Inclusivity."
