Half the viewers are absolutely loving it, praising the movie for taking such a bizarre, unexpected swing and leaning hard into that "Twilight Zone-y" vibe. When examined from beginning to end, this footage is actually a classic dream and nightmare sequence. It serves as a visual representation of her internal struggles and trauma rather than a literal, doomed fate for her storyline moving forward.​Furthermore, Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum and the production team have provided massive, reassuring updates regarding the future of the series during their SDCC 2026 panels. While the X-Men began Season 2 scattered throughout time, recent plot updates reveal they are no longer stuck in the past. In a devastating sequence during Episode 4, Magneto sends the team, including Rogue, back to the 1990s using Bishop's time bands just before Apocalypse murders him in front of Professor X.
