You know you are anchored when you feel the tension. And the tension tells you what you are tethered to. It is a place of discovery and testing. Do not despise the tension. Paul tells us embracing the pressure is where we develop character, which produces hope!

We are living letters to be read by people as a 'recommendation' to what God can do. As we surrender our lives, our stories, to Jesus, we are then marked by the Holy Spirit.

We often want things to happen suddenly so we do something suddenly. But the reality is most 'all of the sudden' moments happen because something had been happening continually. Acts 2 we read about the sudden sound of the Holy Spirit but we find in Acts 1 that united prayer had been happening continually. Why should that matter to us? Take a listen and find out!

"When people see Jesus, they see the Father. When they see us, they should see Jesus." Brandon ColeWe loved hearing from some father’s in our community and celebrating all the dad’s in the building. Ultimately, we were all challenged and encouraged in living in a way that people see Jesus in us.

We close out our series on hope by circling back to where we started and addressing three primary ways we can restore hope in our lives. And here's a hint: it's all about Jesus!

Have you ever tried to hold on to hope alone? What this hope we have is meant for us to hold together, not just you?Hope is held together. With community. How can we live together in a way that creates and holds on to hope?

Your hope is reserved in heaven.. and when you know you have a reservation, you have a different way of reacting to your current circumstance.

Far too many of us look to the stillness of the waves for our hope rather than the security of the anchor that lies below them. This hope is meant to secure us through all seasons and in all storms. What is THIS hope that we have and how is it different than THAT hope the world tells us about?

We often think freedom happens in a moment, but God is working in us always. He is walking us through a process and constantly making progress in our lives. We loved have special guest, Pastor Aaron Snow, share with our church. We know you'll be encouraged!

In Luke 5 we run into a leper who asked Jesus to heal him. But how did he know Jesus could? We suspect it was because he had heard the stories of Jesus healing others. That's what we want to become.. a church that fills the streets of Fort Worth with the stories of Jesus so that people know they can ask, believe, and follow him.

Jesus did more than associate, he welcomed and received sinners. As Luke says it, "Notorious sinners..." What got Jesus in the most trouble was who he welcomed to the table. In fact, what precedes some of the most famous parables on seeking and saving the lost (ie Prodigal Son) is Jesus welcoming "tax collectors and notorious sinners" to the table. Listen as Ps Brandon unpacks the first two verses of Luke 15 and challenges us in the way we love and receive people.

When Jesus stopped and washed the disciples feet, he was making more than a statement, he was setting an example for us. He was giving us a pattern for relationship. One that does more than wash our past journey, but set us up for our future journey together.

If you were to guess how Paul qualifies those who are spiritual, what would you think his standard was? Would you believe it's more about how we compare ourselves to others? And what does 'being spiritual' even mean? Take some time to get spiritual. To grow in unity. And to be one with others.

"Jesus, make Mary get back up and help me?" Martha was frustrated that her sister had stopped helping her host and prepare dinner. Jesus replies with a very strong statement. "You are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about." What details in your life have become distractions from Jesus? What happens if we focus on only one thing? The one thing that matters most.

After Jesus kicks off his earthly ministry with a huge win, he doesn't something peculiar. He wakes up in the middle of the night and gets away from everyone. And he doesn't tell them where he's going. Essentially he is hiding. He's getting lost! In a culture where it is much easier to get found than get lost, what is Jesus showing us as he hides from his disciples and what does it mean to his identity moving forward?

As the Israelites leave Egypt they are faced with what seems to be an impossible situation. Trapped by the Red Sea and being pursued by the Egyptian army, Moses stands up and say, "The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still." How can he say something like this? And how does one translation's interpretation of this verse as "hold your peace" teach us about what it means to be still?

As we start a new year and live in a world of 'be busy' we are challenging ourselves to hear the words of Psalm 46:10 and start this year learning to "Be Still". To know who is God and who is not. Our hope is that we would be more fruitful, more effective, and more alive because we started by waiting on God.In this first message, Pastor Brandon talks about how being in constant motion will actually cause us to be blurry. We will not be clear on who God is or who we are.

For a person in the ancient world, their name spoke to their nature. So what does it mean that Jesus is called wonderful counselor, mighty God, eternal father, and prince of peace?

Repentance is a big word... and often a misunderstood one! But through our confession comes freedom and that builds anticipation for the future! Advent, John the Baptist, repentance, Christmas... This is a good one! Take a listen for a new take on an old (and often misunderstood) word like repentance.

The paralyzed man didn't just go home.. he went home with praise. Recognize, praising, and thanking Jesus for what he had done and his praise pointed people to Jesus.

Carry your mat. It's a sign of what God has done and a story for people to hear.

Live and Multiply. Not manage. Not maintain. Multiply! How can we be people who multiply life in the streets and hearts around us?

One of our amazing Dinner Party leaders, Matt Muehlen, shares his eight-year journey of freedom and how his mindset had to change before he lived the freedom God had given him. And then Pastor Brandon closes out our Free series with a powerful, eye-opening message about what our freedom is for!

There are two freedoms Christ gives us! Understanding both and living in both is a powerful truth that Ps Scott Treske shares.

Samuel Deuth from C3 San Diego visited us and shared a new perspective on an old bible story. Caleb and Joshua had been traveling with Moses through the desert as they remind us that we are Gods people and our language should reflect that. In our lives every day the words we use say a lot about our world view and what we think about God. When the 12 scouts came back to report on the promise land 10 of them spoke about it as if they could never see Israel taking the land. However Joshua and Caleb used language that reflected the power of their creator, knowing that their God was with them always, its a great example about what our language says about our God daily.

Faith is not lived alone! We all need a fellowship of faith. Those people who will encourage us in our journey and grow in us a faith that moves. We want our church to be a place where people are awakened and come alive in faith!

When we invite people over we sometimes tell them to make themselves at home. When we told God to move into our lives we should have handed over the keys and let him dwell in us and take over our lives. Have you given God the keys to your house, or have you said hey come on in and enjoy the downstairs living room and kitchen?

Our makes us different does not matter more than what brings us together. Christ. We are made to be unique and useful. To discover who we are as a person in the context of who we are as a people. And the key to all of it, making Jesus matter most.

Where do we find out who we really are? Paul speaks to where we find our true self. The most authentic, genuine version of us. Find out where, not just what, your real life is.

Too often we live with a blurry view of Christ. We live by a shadow of what is real. Paul tells us that Christ is our substance and everything else is a shadow! Let's fix our eyes on Jesus and get a clear view of who He is.

Me can make this life in Christ so complicated! So much more difficult than God intended. Paul says it's simple. It is simply Christ. And He is simply supreme in all things.
