Many of us call ourselves Christians simply because we belong to a particular religion or denomination. Not that we do what they say, nor do we even understand what they are about. But we call ourselves Christians… We answer an altar-call or get baptized and think we’re safe. We go to church—but there is no change in our lives! You see, the warning to the Jew Paul is writing to and the Christian I am speaking to is not to presume upon your relationship with God!

The Lord's model for prayer: "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." The way I pray it is 'thy will be done in me.' Then, I ask God to help me be the man of God He desires, the husband He desires, the father He desires, and the pastor He created me to be. Tonight, I want to look at Jehoiada from that same perspective...Joash was the king called by God and made by man—one man, Jehoiada. I told you last time that his life is important enough to devote an entire study to so, that's what we're going to do tonight. A study in leadership. Men, this is especially significant for you, however the principles apply wonderfully to women as well. Let's learn how to be a leader...
